Louvre Museum Ticket & Optional Seine River Cruise

good value for 2 great destinations

You must buy tickets in advance, with a specific time of entry to Louvre Museum. This system works well. We took 4 hours to see the whole museum and impressed as much by its architecture to the exhibits. We went early to avoid crowds but still had to be oatient and wait to see the Mona Lisa. We walked just over 3 km around the exhibits and had a rest at the cafeteria for lunch. Next day we went on the included Seine River Cruise. The tickets were OK and we enjoyed the scenery from in front of the Eiffel Tower starting point to turn oround below Isle de France. Good to see the nearly rebuilt Notre Dame Cathedral

Too many people!

Very crowded. Lots of noisy school groups. Mona Lisa packed. Glad we went though. We did enjoy a lunch in the cafe at the Louvre.

It was amazing

It was amazing I was very impressed with everything I saw. My favorite was the Mona Lisa and all of the staff was super helpful!

Overwhelming experience

Over 30,000 exhibits. Need at least half a day just to cover the main areas. Mona Lisa is unbelievable. Too bad there are always lots of people trying to capture the best shot.

Managed Ciaos

A bit disappointing. Had been to the Louvre years ago, and it was a great experience. This time, we traveled with our two teens. It was pandemonium inside. They sell too many tickets, the exhibits were overcrowded. You could not walk normal strides. You had to shuffle step. You could not enjoy and absorb the information because you had oblivious parents pushing strollers with crying, unruly children everywhere. A waste of $$$. A two - and three year old has no appreciation for art. My recommendation is to go on a day when there will be no school trips and hope that the Lourve will offer an adult only day and limit capacity. A positive was the Egyptian and Persian exhibits.....fabulous must see.

The visit to the Louvre was beyond my expectations. Excellent place to visit at least once in one’s lifetime.

The ancient history of mankind. Helps one to understand people behavior today . And the work of great artists of long ago who described society as they saw it, give us the opportunity to understand how they lived and making us more aware of what we need to leave for those who will come after us.

The crowds were...

The crowds were overwhelming and made it hard to enjoy. The problem was we had so little information and did not know what line to stand in or where to go.

Museum was awesome to explore and the river cruise is a great way to see many awesome landmarks around Paris.

Disappointing time at the Louvre

Tripadvisor's online ticket access is terrible. We had a lot of difficulty locating our actual tickets and had to spend time getting help from the assistance office in the museum. TripAdvisor sends too many emails and it is unclear as to where and how to access your actual tickets needed to enter the museum. The bar codes that we downloaded to our Apple Wallet were not the actual entry tickets that were needed. Why make this so complex and confusing, TripAdvisor? We had no idea what our tickets were supposed to look like and wasted a lot of time, with our phones almost dead trying to access our tickets. It should not be this difficult!! Also, the museum was unbelievably crowded - way too many people! We couldn't wait to leave. Will not be returning to the Louvre.

i received a ticket only...

i received a ticket only for Louvre museum (which amount was only 22euros) though I bought a ticket to Louvre and Seine River Cruise (which amount was 35euros). I feel really dissapointed for such unfair treatment.

An enjoyable experience inspite of the numbers of visitors there

The Mona Lisa and many other paintings plus the French Crown Jewels. Stunning! Even some of the rooms had the most beautiful ceilings.

The tickets never came to my email. I want a refund from this criminal company. Give me my money back you greedy corporate shills

Costly tour

We were expecting an audio tour (which was the information stated on your website). When we asked for the audio equipment they were charging us euro6. The ticket to the museum is only euro22/person plus the river cruise tour if euro20/person. We paid almost double even with the convertion rate. Will research more before we book with your company. Thank you.

Disappointed with Viator’s deceiving attitude!

We bought skip the line tour of Louvre Museum from Viator- which costs almost double ($42 vs $24) the entry ticket price for no value added benefit. After we paid, the notice from Viator was that they have issued the tickets by email. Please take these tickets and go the museum for your 11 am entry. No coordinator , no guide - nobody from Viator. We had to fend for ourselves. The line was at least 2000 ft long (almost 1000 people) in front of us. When asked, the museum staff informed me that there is no ‘skip the line tour’ since pandemic. I stood in the same line as a person that would buy tickets on the spot. So Viator deceived us, knowing well that there is no such thing. We travel a lot and almost always buy tickets from Viator but this tour disappointed us a lot. I will be asking Viator to refund the additional charge , because no value was added by buying through Viator.

Would recommend if you can’t buy tickets officially

It’s completely insane that the Louvre website won’t process American cards and I had no choice but to book third party, but this third party booking was exactly as advertised and the tickets were delivered in a timely fashion!

Very easy to use and to get tickets.. If you arrive by Subway and there’s a long line try going top side and it’s usually a whole lot shorter.

Easy check in, not skip the line but only waited 15 mins in line, express line since you already have entrance ticket. Nothing else needed to buy.

This was terrible I almost died because I almost fell off. Overpriced and I almost drowned the staff were mean and the place stank

Louvre self-guided tour

Winged Victory, Mona Lisa. The Louvre is a lot to try to see without a guide. I would highly recommend a guide or joining a tour and allowing at least a few hours for the best experience.

Great experience

Everything went flawlessly! Louvre entry was smooth, and the river cruise was nice and relaxing. Be sure to get to the boat a bit early though - don’t show up right at 10:30pm and expect to get on. Also make sure you have WhatsApp to receive the tickets.

Perfect pairing of tickets for a day in Paris!

Louvre tickets were easy access into the line and museum. River boat gave our feet a much needed break in the afternoon after walking miles!

Overcharging for the same thing I could buy separately on my own there was no advantage to booking with you

You're overcharging for all of these events just by being a third party vendor for the same tickets I could buy by myself individually

Good with a touch of crazy

Lourve itself is wonderful. So much to see and take in. Do reconsider seeing Mona Lisa, esp if going with small kids. Crowds are massive, there is no order, and everyone gets very pushy and aggressive. There are nicer paintings to be seen.

Amazing Museum shame about the timed tickets!

Fantastic museum. But.... don't get caught out the tickets we bought stated a 10 am to 10.30 am entry, at 10.10 we were told we were late and would have to enter via the general queue, when we showed our tickets we were greeted with a shrug!

Everyone must visit

Bringing our grandsons for their first time experiencing the Louvre. It was very crowded and busy, but that is to be expected this time of year.

Great Experience.

We only took part in the Louvre Museum ticket. The amount of people in the morning of the ticket were crazy. A lot of people showed up. Although the ticket showed 9:30. It's better to get there at least an hour before to be the first in line for the queue. As the lines get really long.

Loved this, I received my tickets the day prior to the both the Louvre and Seine River cruise activity and had no issues. I explored the Louvre at my own pace and had my time slot booked so I went quickly in the line. I recommend this 100%

Awesome, and worth it!

It’s the Louvre, of course it’s awesome. However, please book an early time, as the louvre is H-U-G-E, and this is an all-day type of event. Viator is awesome, highly recommend again, as this was easy, smooth, and straight forward. (Lines are always long so prep for that but overall awesome)

Too busy, packed to the maximum I thought. Wanted more bang for your buck. Wouldn't go back. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

You simply must!

You cannot visit Paris and not participate in these 2 attractions. It's a feast for your eyes and soul. I was travelling with my elderly Mum and the staff at the Louvre were so helpful offering her a wheelchair for me to push her around so she could see more of the museum. The cruise on the Seine gives you a beautiful perspective of Paris from the water. We'll be back!

Of course seeing the Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo works of art were the highlights but there were so many phenomenal pieces.

Hard to get ticket from Viator

Don’t buy ticket from Viator. Had issues getting in due to my ticket not being revived. Spent two hours trying to get the ticket and 3 phone calls. Never got the ticket to ride the boat.

Louvre experience

I’m so glad I chose Viator for all my travel needs in Paris. The tickets and the audio combo were great for Louvre. Smooth sailing to ticket line and audio line. I recommend seeing this while your in France and I recommend Viator for all travel transfers and tickets to anything.

The museum itself is gorgeous, the amount of beautiful paintings and history is amazing. You definitely need more than one day to go through the entire museum.

This feels like a way to prey on tourists

Buyer beware: the river cruise doesn’t leave from a neighborhood near the Louvre. You will need to trek to the base of the Eiffel Tower which they don’t mention until the day before - when it’s too late to cancel. Also, you can easily purchase tickets to the Louvre in advance through the Louvre’s website. This offering doesn’t come with a guide or the ability to skip lines. There’s no benefit to purchasing this experience through Viator.

All day at the Louvre

This is a must see in Paris! We spent the whole day wandering and enjoying all the art. The Louvre has such wonderful history

Closed

The Louvre was closed. Paid extra for admission and couldn’t access. I don’t really have anything else to say.

Too crowded

The winged victory. The skip the line is bogus. We waited on an enormous line only to be told the museum was going to be closed for two hours. Union meeting. Then when we came back we did get on quickly with our 9:00 entry but it was too crowded to enjoy. Incredible collection of treasures.
