Louvre Museum Guided Tour Option or Quick access to Mona Lisa

Perfect!

Much easier than having to wait in line, but most importantly, it was truly amazing to hear the history behind the Louvre itself, and our guide did a fantastic job of providing this history! He also helped us get oriented with where to go in the museum. Would highly recommend this!

Wonderful Experience

This was a great highlight tour with a lovely and knowledgeable guide. We learned many great things about some of the museums most famous and not so famous pieces. Highly recommend for families and people that want to learn a little more about the museum. Please not the museum is more crowded on Mondays due to Versailles being closed and it is quite warm on warmer days.

Wonderful, informative experience with Monica

Great way to see the Louvre museum. Checkpoint on the grounds is easy to identify and the process seamless.. While awaiting check-in there were gardens to wander through. Our guide, Monica, was absolutely superb. She gave a quick orientation, took us through the entrance and spent the next three hours, providing a wealth of information and context. It appeared she really loved doing what she’s doing.

Hard to understand guide

Although we got to see some of the most famous things in the Louve,, We had a Chinese guide who did not speak clear English couldn’t even say the word Louv properly and was very hard for everyone in our party to understand she was very knowledgeable, but that doesn’t count if you can’t understand her.

Unfortunate

Unfortunately we arrived at the meeting place and no one was there at the specified meeting place to exchange the pdf for tickets into the louvre. I tried chatting in the app and by the time I got a response, it was well after our 3:30 time slot. I did get into the louvre with family after going in general admission and paying for additional tickets. I have requested a refund and awaiting the answer I have used Viator in past, albeit a few years ago, and have not had bad experiences. I would like to think this is an outlier and would feel better if they eventually honor the refund request

Great visit - would not miss this at all and value for time spent. Admission is free but book your ticket and timeslot.

Excellent museum to visit and need at least 6 to 8 hours at this site to give it justice. It had a great restaurant onsite but make sure you make your reservations. Alternatively have a quick snack below and spend more time browsing the museum that has great displays and content. The lines to get in are big, with security and screening that take a while. But worth the wait once you are in. Take your time to go through the immaculate displays about our ancient history.

The tour guide Juan was very kind and efficient. He explained the best areas to view and make our time and money well worth it.

P my money but could not get tickets

We were unable to access our tickets and louvre would not honor our proof of payment. We lost $275. We will never buy without getting tickets at the time of purchase. Your app is like playing Mario game with hidden features. We would like a refund from aviator. Please reply.

good trip to Louvre

well organised visit even with the current chaos due to changes in roads and venues for the Olympics; very committed and knowledgeable guide and full 2.5 hours plus inside museum with group access that avoids crowds at entrance; very busy inside but hot to see range of items; you need over a week to see it all!

Smooth process but not enough variety

Our tour guide was excellent, however English was not her first or second language, so we had a bit of difficulty understanding her also she had a strong focus on statues which was fine, but there’s so much more to see in the museum. I would’ve liked to have spent less time in one specific area and touched on more various objects of art.

Great experience for our family. We had a wonderful enthusiastic tour guide and this was well worth it. Very educational and was not rushed. It was very quick skipping the lines. No waiting. Our family enjoyed this experience!

Awesome Tour

Our Louvre tour was incredible. Monica our tour guide was fantastic. We were in awe on the knowledge she possessed. She even captivated my very energetic 5 year old! Monica made our tour a 5 Star experience. Highly recommend!

Friendly and informative tour guide!

Monty was an amazing tour guide! He got my family as close as possible to the Mona Lisa. He also pointed out several other works of interest along the way. He made the information very accessible - my 7 year old loved the experience. I would highly recommend going on this tour. Just know that you will be walking quickly and climbing stairs - there’s lots to see and crowds to get through.

Skip the line recommended

Perfect way to get into the Louvre without waiting on a long line. After getting in you can stay with the guide to see highlights and then explore on your own.

Not worth it

I would not do this tour again. It was really not that informative and the tour was disappointing. We spent the beginning allowing people to go to the bathroom. The commentary was not informative.

Outstanding tour of the Louvre

We were given the tour by Francois. He was a great tour guide! He had clearly been doing this for years. He was able to keep track of the group, and convey important facts about the history behind the many works we got to see. It was definitely worth the skip the line addition. That probably saved about an hour for us, if not more. I would highly recommend this tour package to anyone!

Our tour guide was phenomenal. His passion and dedication to the knowledge and history was superior.

We were not of the arts!

Our guide was perhaps a little too enthusiastic for us not exactly being of the arts, so stopping at every single statue and every single painting and hearing every single thing about it then and now was a bit much for us, we just wanted to see the big ticket items and be let do our own thing from there. Only do a guided tour if you want 4+ hours of every detail of every inch.

Louvre experience

The Louvre was amazing. The tour was nice but several in our group had a hard time with our tour guides english. She spoke with a heavy accent and it made it hard to understand clearly. Over all very good.

Left on our own to tour

Learning the Louvre’s history was quite interesting. The four of us adults were in the tour with a separate family group of two parents and three very young children. The tour guide, Emile, was ok with adequate knowledge, but when one of the parents became ill, she notified the authorities to secure them help, stayed with the family of five, abandoned the four of us, stopped the tour and sent us on our own way. It should have been handled differently.

Enriching experience

Guide was very excited about Greek gods. Made our experience more enjoyable. The French history was just as enjoyable.

Should not miss a guided tour of the Lourve

The ability to skip the outrageous lines at the Louvre. Our guide , Francois brought our tour to life. He was excited and animated about his Subject. He explained the subtle difference in sculpture and paintings which I would normally miss as well as setting the background and context. He made the tour worthwhile.

The guided tour was excellent and well worth the money !! Our tour guide Camille was exceptional , her passion and depth of knowledge was excellent. She bought the paintings and statues to life !!!

Not a great experience.

Our tour guide was 30 minutes late. That put us in a more crowded situation. The stop at the bathroom was too long. For a 2 hour tour we maybe had an hour full tour.

Fun tour at the Louvre

Camille was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information in a fun and energetic way! We learned so much and had fun at the same time. Well worth it!!

You didn’t show up and poor directions. Lost our money. No one answers the phone. Why wouldn’t someone be where you said and answer the phone? I believe this may be a scam.

Only way to see the Louve without lines and confusion

A must to see the 6 important masterpieces and so much more with the guide who knows this grand museum intimately.

Great!

Great experience. Definitely recommend. It was not a guided visit, however we had a host with us that took us to the most important exhibitions and we did not have to make the line to go in which was amazing because the lines are very long.

Very disappointing

Was not able to do the experience. The meeting point instructions on the viator link were not correct. We waited at the meeting point as instructed and did not see the local guides that were on the back end of the Carousel. Also there was a lot of construction on site. We called the local guides but by the time they instructed us to the correct meeting place, the experience had started. They told us to come to the next one that was starting 2 hours later. We did that but since the group was full they would allow us to join. We called viator as they were the booking agency for a refund and were rejected because the local agency said no. Very disappointed at the customer service. We will not book through this site again nor will we recommend it to others unless this situation is corrected and we get our money back

knowledgeable guide but terrible sound quality

The guide was quite knowledgeable except we couldn’t hear her clearly. The sound quality was not good - too much crackling. It is quite difficult to understand people whose first language is NOT English and on top of that when the sound equipment distorts it becomes almost impossible to understand.

Well worth it

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The guide was very knowledgeable. The tour was conducted at the perfect pace, with some reasonable adjustments made for some of the group with mobility issues.

The tour guide did a very good job of explaining the various areas and exhibits during the tour. His knowledge of the paintings and sculpture was extremely helpful in understanding the Louvre.

Louvre skip the line

This was worth every penny, on time, and skip the line access straight to the Mona Lisa, then all day to roam the museum, and we did, all five hours 😊

Only way to see the highlights quickly and easily.

Overall great experience. Learned a ton and our tour guide was amazing. Meeting spot could be a bit more clear to ease confusion. But found it!

No flexibility for bumped flights

Unclear meeting place directions. Rude guide on the phone when we called for help. Missed the whole tour and weren’t willing to reschedule us even when we called ahead and explained flight delays. They made a lot of money on us for no services for sure.

Only lives up 1/2 the time

We booked two trips with Viator. The Louvre was wonderful but the Catacombs and Seine Cruise was horrible. No response from Viator and we had to pay at the venue. The venue told us to never book with Viator again bc the company has the worst track history of failing to provide tickets. Currently trying to get a refund because all of it was a failure for the 2nd trip.

Great tour

Emiliee was our tour guide. Very nice, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. Go on Wednesday or Friday early afternoon tour because Louvre open until 9:00 PM on those days and after guided tour, you can go on your own anywhere else.

Exceptionally executed!

The Louvre speaks for itself and all its beauty. Monica, our guide, was extremely courteous, professional and attentive. Her passion and in depth knowledge on the artwork, history, sculptures made this experience memorable! Her details made me appreciate the intricacies and so much more curiosity in these masterpieces.

So we done tour on own without a guide

We missed tour by 15mins and we ended up having to repay into the museum again. There was traffic restrictions throughout Paris causing massive delays due to the president biden in Paris . The museum should and Viator should accommodate people for unseen circumstances. So we haded a tour guide we walked around on our own wasn’t great tour without a guide.

Wonderful tour. Learned a lot about the history and no long wait in line. Made the experience worth a little extra $. So easy!

Bad tour

Our tour guides English was good but her accent made her hard to understand. The quality of the earphones was terrible. She assumed we were are all art students and needed a twenty minute explanation of every painting. By the time we got to the Mona Lisa painting we had it with crowds and did not want to wait in the over twenty minute mass crowd to get close to the painting.
