The ONLY way to see the Louvre ♥️ LOVED it!!

Amazing!! My Uber driver was stuck in unbelievable traffic and the tour company called me to check on me bc it was a few minutes before my scheduled start time. I told her I was stuck in traffic and she was SOOO kind to me and was able to add me to the next tour. When I arrived they immediately knew who I was and got me in the new group. Such sweet people!! Our tour guide, Kiwan (I believe was his name - I’m so sorry if that’s incorrect), was amazing!! He had such a passion for the art and it showed in everything he said. He was super funny and engaging and made sure everyone in our tour was having a good time. He made sure to check in on folks that were having a hard time with all the stairs and walking and would give us the tips to get the best pictures and angles for all the artwork. He used a microphone system and we had small radios around our necks and an earpiece, which was honestly the BEST part of the way this tour is done. He was very clearly heard and we didn’t have to disrupt the people around us with him having to shout for us to hear. I absolutely loved everything about this. I would do it again in a second. If you’re even considering going to the Louvre, I absolutely wouldn’t do it without this tour. The Louvre is HUGE and could be completely overwhelming if you didn’t have a guide.

Worth skipping the line

Addie was entertaining and informative. I loved her dropping Beyoncé trivia in the tour. I haven’t been to the Louvre in 20 yrs and she made it interesting and memorable. She’s patient and gives good directions and time limits. She also has a sense of humor which is appreciated. The best part is zooming past the crowds through the back entrance. My suggestion: splurge and take the tour. You’ll be much happier.

Accent made guide impossible to understand

Guide had such a thick accent that I just couldn't understand her. Missed every 4th or 5th word and had to concentrate intensely to try and work out what she was saying. I just zoned out in the end...

Great presentation by a knowledgeable & enthusiastic guide!!

Omar was very well prepared; was able to tailor/adapt his presentation to the interest of the audience by listening carefully to their questions and comments and then responding appropriately. We really enjoyed this tour and the way it was presented. We would recommend it. Thank you , Merci Omar!

A day in art history

Seeing the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa. It was extremely crowded, hard to stay in your group. But very nice.

Great For First Time Lovre Visitors

This is a great tour for a first time visitor to the Louvre. Crowds are everywhere. The guide focused on highlights which was perfect for my wife and I. Without the guide we would have wasted valuable time roaming the various halls and missing significant masterpieces.

Great Tour

This museum is a must see. Breathtaking. There are unique masterpieces. We didn't wait in line because I bought a skip the line ticket and attended early. Our guide Sid is great.

Very nice tour and knowledgeable guide

Guide took us on a 3 hour tour of most iconic areas of the museum with knowledge and kindness toward everyone and especially our 10 year old granddaughter who loved it 100%

Great tour. Sounds need improvement

On time, friendly, courteous. Our tour guide had a good fund of knowledge and frequently stopped to check on us. She had an iPad to contrast other relevant pieces of art. Suggestion: sound quality needs improvement! There was some echo and sound seemed distant

The louvre is massive!

I learned the marble statues were originally painted. For the louvre, skip the line was worth it!! Be sure to check your emails regularly prior to traveling as Viator relies on local tour companies which may not be reliable…

Guide was good but museum itself disappointed

Martha was great! But besides the mona Lisa and a few other art pieces the museum itself just... isn't as good as the British museum, new york met museum and definitely not better than vatican or ulfezzi galleries. Would pass if I come back.

Wonderful tour and guide

Maryam did a wonderful job explaining the history and details of the pieces that we viewed. She had so much knowledge of the museum and its history. The head sets were great for being able to hear. Skipping the long entrance lines was a major plus. I can’t imagine navigating the Louvre on our own, Maryam helped us get the best out of our visit.

Great guide

Did our guide did an amazing job. Very funny guy and a good singer! Highly recommend taking te tour. We saw all of the key attractions and got unique information.

Knowledgeable guide but too much detail

Our tour guide was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. She took us through the original area of the castle first which was quite interesting. Next we went through the sculptures, however, we felt the description of each sculpture was too detailed, so much so that we had run out of steam by the time we got to the paintings (we were with teens). Another couple left before us. We had hoped to spend more time on the paintings but ended up rushing through on our own including the Mona Lisa. It may be better to start with paintings or give fewer details on the sculptures, especially for families.

Memorable experiences

All exhibits were fascinating. Egyptian reflects were awesome. The fortress and empty mote was fun to walk in and exciting. The art displays were amazing.

Louvre Museum Guided Tour

Our tour guide was very experienced and explained in details all the key features inside the Louvre. The provided headset was a must have as this place is so crowded we could clearly hear our guide throughout the tour. This place is always packed and huge so it a must have to join a tour group for this Museum.

Please update your directions notes

The tour started off terribly as we got lost. The directions were not clear that there are two Arc de Triomphe and to be aware of such.. We ended up going to the wrong one and spending money to come back to the right one. Your tour guide/information personnel was rude and unhelpful. We had to fight to be placed with the next group. Upon being placed we had an enjoyable time. Maryna was a very good guide. She explained everything and was patient .. Its a good tour overall

Skip the Line and more toilets

Getting a lesson and skipping the Line helps. When a museum has thousands of visitors each day any help is good help. Appreciated the toilets, and getting taken to the most popular points, so much art one couldn't see it all in a day. The tour guide was knowledgeable, she just needed to read the audience a little better. Overall fantastic experience!

So much to see and we got to see a lot

The Louvre and its contents are spectacular and the tour was a great introduction to many of the exhibits. I say introduction because there is SO many exhibits and places to visit it would take much longer to do but make sure you purchase a skip the line ticket otherwise you’ll waste half your day just getting in. Our guide Annaii, was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out all of the good stuff for us and was very helpful.

Mona Lisa

The Louvre is a must see in Paris. The paintings and statues survived over the centuries and made such a mark on history that we cannot imagine the world without them. The grounds are lovely too!

Liked the Louvre

I feel that as it was so busy that at times it was really hard to get to look at a lot of things as this was a school trip day with multiple schools there. I think our guide said Thursdays were the worst days for this.

Incredible Tour Experience

This was an absolute must-do tour. We knew we wanted to visit the Louvre when we went to Paris, but also knew that we had to have a guide to hit the high points, since the Louvre was SO large. The meeting point for our tour was very easy to find—we had June and she was the BEST! We gathered outside the Louvre and then entered the group entrance and got to skip the line. We had the tour first thing in the morning, the general admission line was huge, but we skipped all of that and entered pretty quickly. We did queue for security, but it was just our group in our special line. Once we got in, we had radio-things where we could hear June and all of her knowledge about the Louvre. The tour was over 2 hours and we hit the high points of the Louvre. The line for the Mona Lisa was not bad—even June was impressed with how quickly we were able to see it. The museum was busy, but with June leading the way and show casing the highlights, we definitely feel like we got our money worth. Our small kids enjoyed it as well! This is a must-do tour! The Louvre can be overwhelming on your own, so get this tour—it will make a huge impression in a short time without being overwhelmed or lost in such an amazing place.

Lovely Louvre Tour

This Louvre tour was an amazing and hospitable tour. They did a great job meeting us, guiding us, and telling us all about the Louvre museum. Our guide, Maria, was extremely knowledgeable and made us love learning about art and the Louvre. So glad to see the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo!

A well organized and informational tour of the Louvre.

After 7 tours using Viator, this one actually went well. They had personnel with flags at the meeting point so you were searching for your tour. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us through a lot of the museum in only 3 hours. This tour I would recommend. However, try to book the earliest possible tour because the Louvre just kept getting more and more crowded as the day went on.

Okay, but fell flat.

We booked this tour to skip the lines and also in hopes it would engage our kids (aged 11 years old and 9 year old twins) with some fun stories about history and art, but felt it was a little flat. Very informative and lovely guide, but just didn't engage the kids like we'd hoped. We also thought booking the early tour would allow us to start at the Mona Lisa, or one of the busier spots, but they were shown at the end and we had to fight the large crowd for images like the rest of patrons.

Too much time on the mona lisa.

The priority entry was worth it alone but we left the tour after 2 hours because we felt like it was moving way too slow. Spent about 45 minutes in the room with the mona lisa that was extremely crowded with the guide repeating the same information several times. Wanted to see more than just that so we went off on our own.

Bucket List Check-off

We had an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the museum and art in general and it was nice not having to wait in line to get in. The crowds, though, made seeing everything we wanted to see just about impossible.

Do not book anything through Viator

We arrived 15 minutes early to the Louvre. Went to information to ask where to meet. Went to meeting spot and we could not find the tour guide for a semi private tour we set up and paid almost $500 for with my family. We had one day in Paris. Called the tour company to say we could not find the group. We were to meet at 1:30pm. I called at 1:37 after looking all over. Told me I was late and too bad and no refund. We were not late. I would never use Viator again as they do. It guarantee. They are misleading and have no integrity. In fact nobody should risk using them.

Louvre private

We had a great experience, from the meeting point to entry, and the massive amount of knowledge shared with us. This is the best way to see such a massive place and gain real insights. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, even with two of our kids getting tired towards the end.

Skipping the line and going straight in was wonderful and definitely worth it.There are so people. We saw a lot but of course only scratched the surface. Maybe we spent a little to much time on the most famous pieces.

I loved the stories that went along with each photo. Our tour guide took the time to give a back story with most of the pieces he spoke about. The Mona Lisa room is extremely busy, so be prepared. Id suggest bringing a bottle of water with you as they will let you have it during the tour.
