Sid - Excellent tour guide

The tour was well arranged and managed by Sid. Really loved the way Sid held the group together through the huge crowd of visitors, explained the history associated to the art work, the building structure and the french monarchy intermixed with really good humor. Highly recommend taking this tour with Sid.

Warning about a shortcoming

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a very pleasant person. The one shortcoming, of this, and other, group tours is that it is only the guide who has an actual ticket, and that is for the entire group. Although the guide invites you to remain after the tour to enjoy other pieces at the museum, getting from one wing to another is tricky, and following the directions offered by museum staff can result in crossing the reception lobby. Without an actual ticket you cannot get from one wing to another using that route, for you will be denied entry to the other wing without that ticket.

Great experience

I booked this experience through the Go city pass, very simple to book onto the tour using your pass. The tour was a great experience, a very friendly and informative guide that took use around the outside of the Louvre before showing us where to enter.

A terrific tour and guide! The Louvre!

Our tour guide Paula was fantastic! Friendly, funny, lots of cool information.. she was easy to spot in the crowd and always made sure her ppl were all together! So worth every penny!! Highly recommend 👌

Informative tour, but ended on a sour note

Austin was very punctual and informative. Only dislike at the end he stated " my name us x, please leave a review if you liked the tour, but if you didn't, I really don't care".. like wtf. I saw ppl who had tips in their hands, refuse to give him, said thanks and walked away. At the end of it all, this is a business and there's tons of walking tours around, that statement was disgusting. You obviously care because you are asking for a review. Tour was a great enhancement to the Louvre, history is valuable.

Disappointing

Inflexible unfriendly tour agency , had another tourist group who were also 10minutes late and were not able to join the tour anymore, not recommended!!

Interesting

Very interesting tour, I learned lots of new things. Also a good wait to skip the queue and get tickets sorted with ease.

Unfortunately missed the guide - entry still possible

In the huge mass of people waiting in front of the Louvre, we were unable to find or guide. Luckily, the telephone service was helpful and we were sent our entry tickets by mail so that we could still see the Louvre. The guided tour would have been nice because there was very little information about the exhibitions in the museum itself.

Check in was as described and easy. Tour guide was nice and knowledgeable. Skip the line was so worth it. Of course the museum speaks for itself.

Great day at the Louvre

Tour was around the outside of the Louvre, plus entry to the museum. Our guide, Paula, was fantastic. She had a lot of great local information and a good sense of humor. She made sure everyone got what they needed and even followed up with an email with other Paris recommendations. Loved it.

Great tour and quick entrence

We got to hear some nice details about the history of the palace and insides into the museums treasures. We had a great time and would recommend.

Visiting the Louvre made easy

This was a very nice intro tour for the Louvre Museum. As you know the museum is a very big and intimidating place, but our guide made sure that we hit the main highlights, providing many historical facts on each piece. We all met at the meeting point and got into the museum unless than 10 minutes, contrary to what you may have read about the long lines.

Our guide Kasia was amazing, very knowledgeable and showed us the top pieces of art in the louvre in two hours which was perfect for us with our three kids. Highly recommend a tour if you are going to the louvre

Nice experience

Guide was knowledgeable and explained very well the facts and trivia about the place. Overall, it was a good trip.

Informative and joyful

We took this guided tour with Sagar our tour guide in April 2024.He was on time and took us through a very joyful and informative experience with lots of history shared about the Louvre musuem and some of its art works.

Paula- Walking Tour of Louvre

My mom and I truly enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide, Paula, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She had a great sense of humor which made for an entertaining tour. She also showed us to the “secret” entrance of the louvre which decreased our time in line a considerable amount. Overall, I would definitely recommend to those traveling to Paris!!

Excellent tour by Paula

We enjoyed a lovely morning at the Louvre. Our guide Paula arrived very early and she was easy to locate. She taught us many interesting facts about the Louvre and it was nice to have the history before entering the museum. Paula then made sure we each received our tickets ok and led us to an entrance of the Louvre that only had a short wait. Paula was an informative and friendly guide.

Paula was a great guide - friendly, informative and funny! Plus she showed us the “secret” Louvre entrance and saved us from the crowds! Would definitely do tours with Paula in the future.

The experience was nice and the outdoor guided tour was very helpfull adding pieces of history to our experience. It also helped to skip the line and enter very quickly.

Spectacular Expedited 1st Louvre Visit

A wonderful experience with our guide Imad and our group of 10! He was efficient, kind, patient and welcoming of questions, informative and made certain the group always stayed together (a challenge with 5 children and one of which was our 1 year old in a stroller). Made sure we saw the highlights in the museum, gave us context through the tour, and kept us on schedule. Loved for us as we didn’t have the ability with a toddler to dawdle and spend countless hours at the Louvre, and this made sure we saw and got to appreciate some very special pieces.

The guided tour was worth it. Audrey (our guide) gave an excellent tour of the Louvre grounds. She was funny and informative. She was also very helpful earlier on when there was some confusion about our tickets

Guide made ExperienceFirst experience more worthwhile. L' ouvre has a fair bit of history to take in and can always be tricky to take in, was a fair attempt at keeping visitors entertained with bits of info. Oh and your not going to see most pieces of Art. 🤷🏽‍♂️ ENJOY YOUR DAY

Visiting the Louvre with Experience First was a five stars experience! I Learned a lot. We didn't have to make a long queue, because we had a skip the line tickets.

Satisfying tour with Seb

We have an excellent time, our tour guide sebastian are full of knowledge and explain every part precisely so we be like oooohh and aaahhhh. By the way our tour should be tour of 7 people, but turns out the other 4 didnt show up, so it became a private tour 😄😄 thank you so much experience first and sebastian, we will definitely comeback for more

Great Guide

The tour takes you around the area to give you a history lesson which is a great idea! Then you fast pass to get into the museum to explore at your leisure. Good experience overall!

Fantastic experience.

Living in Paris we already had the opportunity to visit this wonderful place. This time we decided to focus on the Richelieu section and more spécificaly to the ancient Middle-East civilisation (Mesopatamian , Sumerian, Phoenician, Egyptian...) and booked an audio guide for the occasion. This is worthwhile. The device is not so easy to use, but you understand so much more of what you see. Stuning pieces of art of mesmerizing civilisations , this is what it is about. We spent there more than two hours there and on the way out we could not help wandering in other sections and had a look at the Regent Diamond in the magnificient Galerie d'Apollon, the 'Victoire de Samothrace, somme of the masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance...

Weird and slightly inaccurate tour

Wasn’t too impressed with the tour. Learnt a few interesting things I hadn’t heard of. However the tour guide seemed like he’d rather be doing literally any other tour. Frequently described the history of the Louvre as boring and art as something he “didn’t get”. Long awkward pauses as he tried to have us guess answers to his questions. Very weird and slightly inaccurate tour. Would not recommend. At least we skipped the line.

Good tour but wasn’t skip the line to get into the louvre itself

The guide and tour itself was good- I have never learned much about the outside and building itself so that was interesting, however it was not a “skip the line” thing. Once we went we left the guide and went down into the below subway/shopping area, we had to get into a 40 min and wait to get in line everyone else. The group there for a tour INSIDE the love and who had their guide with them were able to skip the line. - I only bought the tour bc all other normal ticketed morning time slots to go into the louvre that whole week were already sold out- so I literally had no choice but pay more for a tour so I could get into the louvre somehow. I think everyone in our group was surprised and disappointed to find this out. Very misleading. I guess we didn’t have to wait in an hour long outside that morning to purchase a ticket (which the official louvre website said wasn’t even an option at all.)

It was just a different line up.

We said goodbye to our lovely guide at the top of a set of stairs. She gave us directions to the “skip the line” line up. When we go there the line up was 40 mins. It was inside and warm as opposed to the outside lineup but it was definitely a line up none the less.

Sager was wonderful and very informative! He was also very funny and made the tour such an enjoyable experience!

Great experience all around

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the whole experience. The museum is so vast you can't see even close to everything. Our guide was able to show us the most interesting and famous parts. She also gave us hints on how to get up front to see the Mona Lisa.

External tour not worth the money

Not really worth money. If you can find skip the line only tickets for cheaper you should just get that. We booked last moment so didn't have many options. We did skip the line (only about 10 minute security check line) but the external tour is useless. The Louvre was beyond amazing fyi.

Great guide, not great value

Sagar was a great guide. He told us interesting facts about the monuments and some art pieces. For anyone who is considering this tour, just note that this is an “outside” tour. The guide did not go in either Jardin des Tuileries or Louvre with us. After about an hour of explanations, he gave us the tickets and took us to the security line downstairs which might have been faster than the lines outside the pyramid. But the tickets are just the regular 17 euro tickets. So the tour was a little expensive. I only purchased this because the tickets were already sold out on the Louvre website.

Good walking tour of the surrounding area but could be better

There was a mix-up in the booking as there were three guides checking everyone in. I was moved from one guide to the next, and then back to the first guide (Benedicte). The flag of Experience First can be bigger, too. It was an interesting tour, although I found the pace too fast. I guess it's because we had to cover so much in 45 minutes. Benedicte was quite informative, friendly, and accommodating. It should also be noted that it's not really "skip-the-line" as there was a long security queue to get in. I think it should also be clear in the listing that it doesn't include a guided tour inside the Louvre. Some thought it was included. And that you'll need mobile data to retrieve the ticket to the Louvre after the walking tour. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes to soak everything in.
