Delightful Visit of Le Marais

Roffy did a great tour showing the highlights of Le Marais. She discussed the history, culture, points of interest and recommended some good restaurants and attractions. I’ve always wanted to learn more about the different neighborhoods in Paris and this tour provided that in the short 2-hr window. I would highly recommend visiting Victor Hugo’s house and the art galleries. Those were absolutely worth it. This was a well put together tour and I can’t wait to do a tour of another neighborhood.

Le Marais walking tour

The tour started off a little bumpy because the tour operator system didn’t notify my guide she had a tour. However, despite that, Sabrina was brilliant! She came late due to the mix up but she spent a great deal of time with me and showed me so many wonderful things. We saw the Picasso museum, the history of Paris museum, she pointed out a lot of relevant historical and architectural features along the way. She explained a lot about the royalty of France and which kings did what to improve the city. It was amazing. I give Sabrina a lot of credit for coming last minute and sharing her city with me. I highly recommend the tour.

Great walking tour, highly recommended

Our guide Jill was knowledgeable, super friendly and went out of her way to curate a tour based on our interests. She even provided a scrumptious French snack which gave the experience a personal touch. Highly recommended

Disappointed Marais Tour

Our group really looked forward to our tour of the Marais District in Paris, but found that our tour guide was not prepared. At the request of your company, we sent in requests of what we were interested in seeing on our tour, yet our guide had no knowledge of our comments and had no plan herself. She was soft spoken, so anyone who was not right beside her, had no idea what she was saying. We asked multiple times for her to speak louder and while she always agreed to, she never did. She was very kind and sweet, but our tour was not at all what we expected and we decided to end it early. It was definitely not worth the money that we had spent. The following day, we toured the Montmartre area with a guide from another company. She had the list of ideas that we had submitted with her, made sure we saw everything on that last, and much more. She was filled with knowledge of the area and explained the history of the area to us as we walked along. That was a successful tour.

Host no show….first day in Paris

Our tour guide Hugo did not show up - we stood in the rain at the meet up location for 15 min - sending requests via what’s App, texting and emailing. Finally called the customer service number. They were helpful, confirmed the meet up locations and tried to contact the guide to no avail. The tour was refunded.

Cancelled no help

Very disappointed. Cancelled couple hours before. Asked if we could at least get the locations awe would be stopping at (understand no information just the stops) Did not get response until I er 24 hours later and the answer was no. Tried to find stops we thought might be interesting but….. we just wanted ideas of plan es to visit in LaMarais

Great Overview of Le Marais!

Really enjoyed this walking tour! Anukool was knowledgeable and fun to walk around with. Learned and saw quite a bit. O poop Highly recommend!

Hidden gems of the Marais

This was a very interesting look at parts of the Marais not usually visited. Our guide Achilles had many interesting little stories about some of the places he took us to, including that his grandmother had owned an apartment in Place des Vosges and he used to visit her and play there. Highly recommend!

Disppointing

Unfortunately our planned tour took place on a Sunday and on a weekend which included a National Holiday in France. Since none of the 8 of us was familiar with the area at all and weren't aware of closures, we would have appreciated our guide to be much more proactive with the planning and giving us alternative options to the tour. All 8 of us were quite disappointed and felt that our time could have been spent doing something different during our short stay in Paris. Salvana was a very nice person, it just wasn't the tour we expected. She did ask what we wanted to see many times, but again, if we don't know the area and restrictions, we would think that would be her responsibility, not ours. Our friends who were on the tour have a son who took the same tour and loved every moment, sadly we cannot report the same..

Disappointed

The guide was a friendly young man with experience in architecture and archaeology. About the Marais, not so much. We were interested in the Jewish community but the guide was unable to identify any synagogues and took us to a park to see a memorial to Ann Frank — but couldn’t find it. After 2-1/2 hours we had enough. An expensive lesson with very little value.

A beautiful morning walk

Jaime showed is several out of the way places in the Marais. It was early morning and the walk was lovely. It was like exploring secret gardens.

Outstanding

During the 3 hours of the tour, we found out places and got information about the city and Marais which we might have known reading a lot. We really tasted the vibe of Marais and how the district moved on during the centuries.

Learn about a city by getting lost in it.

Our guide Jaime said the best way to get to know a city was to “get lost in it” and we lost ourselves in Le Marais in the best way. We were picked up at our hotel and took the Metro to the area and started our walk. We saw the new and the very old and Jaime was able to tell us about the history. His background in archeology added interesting background to the information. We stopped for a quick coffee and a delicious pastry at the place Jaime recommended. We finished in the Place des Vosges which was lovely.

A really fun experience!

Toured the Marais with Vanessa, who was knowledgeable, funny and easy to hang out with! It was like visiting the Marais with an old friend. Highly recommend. I learned about secret gems of the neighborhood that I would only learn about from a local.

Beautiful ale Marais

We enjoyed our walk with Sylvia. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and enjoyed showing off her neighborhood. It was nice to see this part of town with a local to learn the ins and outs.

Perfect tour with an experienced guide

Just after we said goodbye to our tour guide, Francois, my wife turned to me and said, “Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to learn about the Le Marias area: history, architecture, development, Jewish impact, and culture’. Francois provided all of that along with insights and visits to cheese, wine, chocolate, clothing and perfume shops and he even stopped at several restaurants to decode menus for us. He explained the orientation of the Le Maris area and told us which metro and bus stops to use to explore Paris from our location. This was so very helpful for the balance of our week. Francois is an experience and knowledgeable Parisian guide of French food, wine, culture and history. ‘Perfect ‘ as my wife would say. Thank you, Francois.

Every moment in Paris is a dream

Kaja, my guide was excellent. Her love of Paris is contagious. So knowledgable of every street, and every building. She makes you see the history of each little neighborhood with ease. Truly enjoyed my tour!

Guide and Tour were excellent

Alexandra was and excellent tour guide who met all are expectations. A great overview of this area personalized to our tastes. She recommended restaurants and other sites to come back to on our own. City unscripted is a great way to tour and it was just the two of us. Highly recommend.

Old world charm of Le Marais

Martyna was an excellent guide, with intimate experience and knowledge of this area. It is a charming part of Paris that revealed the secrets of it history pre and post Napoleonic time which I found fascinating. Martyna was able to tailor this tour to meet my needs, she was very flexible, which I most appreciated.

Request Marie for your tours!

Our tour guide was Marie and she was EXCELLENT! She was fun and very knowledgeable about every pathway we took, along with the old and rich history of Paris. We had a wonderful time with Marie and even wished our tour could have been longer. She also gave us great recommendations for brunch and things to do for the next day, our last day in Paris. The last two days we had ended up being our best days and memories in Paris largely thanks to her. Make sure to request Marie for your tour, you won't regret it!

Myriam was a wonderful host!

The minute we met Myriam we knew we had someone very special to lead us through Le Marais. She has such a kind and beautiful soul and a lovely personality. It was obvious how much she thoroughly enjoyed sharing her knowledge of the area with us. She provided us with so much fascinating history and also many interesting and funny anecdotes. We learned a multitude of information, not only about Le Marais, but all of Paris. We had an incredible time with Myriam and highly recommend this tour.

Very, very disappointing. We booked the tour with Francois yesterday. As a couple, it was 130 euros. A lot of money. In 2 hours, it felt like we only walked a few hundred meters. More than once, as a paying customer, I made it clear that I wanted to see more. I was accused of being like the Americans, always speeding. It was a private tour, so I expect the customer's wishes to be taken into account. Francois was very well-educated about history, but even more interested in culinary arts and took us to every boutique so we didn't have to walk much. He couldn't do it physically either!!!! You have to make it clear in advance that this tour is aimed at older people who would rather sit comfortably in a cafe, or better yet, in a restaurant. Never again, and I would actually expect compensation, otherwise this would be the last booking on this platform
