Audio tour + Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour

Not worth it for the price.

For someone who is visiting Paris, it was difficult to find the bus stops. They are not clearly marked and this caused us to lose time. Once on the bus, the audio tour was too simple and short. I listened more to music than information about the place. The audio only said “the next stop is such and such” but I didn't know if the bus stopped because the traffic light was on red or because that was the stop to hop off. The driver should announce every stop numbered in the map and give some time to the people that is in the upper deck to walk safely on the bus. A few times we tried to hop off but, the bus started moving. This also caused a loss of time. The route does not reach the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, which is very disappointing. Overall I will not take this tour again.

Cost effective fun way to see and learn about Paris.

Great ride, bad traffic. Boat ride was magic. Never did the self guided walking tour. Bus was fine. Hop on hop off is easy.

Terrible

Not sure where to complain but we could not use our paid tickets with Big Bus as instructed. We went to the Big Bus office and they said that our tickets were redeemed even though we had not used them. The agent Viator used was Rewind. I would look into this if I was Viator as we have been ripped off. The Big Bus agent let us do the bus tour for free but we had to pay again for the Seine River cruise. We would like a refund. France was not a good experience for us. We had no problems with our previous Viator bookings but we have had 2 bad experiences in France - Bookings for Versaille and Monet Gardens and then the Hop on Hop off bus and river cruise.

Good for tourists to see a lot in a few hours

We had an ejoyable day on the Big Bus Paris Hop-on-Hop-Off Bus tour. The buses were clean. The stops schedule was prompt and on time. The musci in the audio portion of the tour was annoying so I didn't listen. At some stops, it was difficult to locate the pick-up spot/sign.

Wonderful tour!

We only had one full day in Paris so this was perfect! We had visited Paris before but our friends had not so this really gave them a great overview of this beautiful city!

Very cool experience

Seeing the famous sites in Paris and getting historical information about each. There was one bus that didn’t provide the audio, which made it difficult to follow the sites that were seen.

Difficult experience

Unable to activate ticket. Unable to use app. Unable to take tour. Received no response from tour operator when I asked for assistance.

Great way to see Paris

The hop on hop off bus is very easy to use. It goes in a loop and you can get on/off at any stop or stay on for the entire loop. It has audio that provides history of what you are seeing. It takes you to the areas with the top attractions. We used it to hop off to shop, but had we not been on a tour where we saw much of the city we would have hopped on/hopped off to visit attractions. This is a great way to see the city. I would also recommend the night tour where everyone sits on the top and the bus does not stop. It goes the regular route, but adds a few stops including the Eiffel tower where you can take pics of the tower lit up.

Attractions were not always close to stops

Some of the attractions off the stops were not very close so to walk and tiur and get back to stop took up large chunks of time. The River Cruise was amazing and would definitely recommend. The bus tours some of the city but there are only like 10 stops.

Bus tour

It was ok. The bus driver drove sooo very slow. Not sure what was the intention. I’ll take big bus tour next time . It was really easy to access and bus wasn’t super busy either

Very handy.

Very handy way to see the main landmarks in Paris without a lot of walking. Sometimes it can be hard to find the pick up spots.

Excellent and Informative Tour

Excellent way to see many of the historical sites and avenues of Paris. You can plan your activities and understand the layout of the city.

Wonderful, and I would highly recommend

The earphones worked great, the stops were good. Driver our first day was not the best… short, jerky stops, a bit hard on the sudden starts and stops. Second day driver was much better (sorry, I don’t have names) Overall experience was good, but had difficulty finding the stops. A competitor had more recognizable signs and in overall better locations

Average for the price. The commentary was so irritating that we had to stop listening. The boat tour was awesome and the highlight

Great first step to seeing Paris

Comfortable buses, good frequency, reasonable commentary. Went twice around and got off once for a long walk. Space on bus was better than competitor bus we took for night trip.

Fantastic bus tour no waiting fantastic tour round all the sights . Loved it . Always a bus on hand every few minutes .

Great ride

This is well worth the money and goes to the major tourist areas. It needs better announcing of where we were.

Could handle you better

Very brief recorded description as we passed landmarks with a lot of music in between. These tour’s used to have a live tour guide who filled you in on the history of the area as you passed from point to point, somewhat disappointing. Also, they say you can start at any stop, but the driver is confused and not prepared for that

Look for an alternative unless they modify the number of stops and or routes.

If we were to return to Paris we will try using the Toot Bus instead of the Hop-On-Hop-Off. Although the girl selling tickets at stop #1 and her colleague were extremely helpful to us, the bus service itself left a bit to be desired. The Toot Bus has more stops and has 2 routes. This HOHO has 10 stops and it takes over 2 hours to finish the route so there are a lot of interesting places to see in between stops which leaves you walking long distances. On one of our trips around town our driver skipped stops 2,3 and 4. We were going to get off at #4 as it was the closest to see one of the sites that wasn't included in their list of stops. Staying on until stop #5 made the walk to far away so we had to stay on the bus for another 2+ hour trip around the city to get off at stop #4.

At the end of our bus tour, we remember seeing a metro entrance right by the bus stop, we stayed on the bus till we reached the said bus stop so we don’t have to walk far to catch the train. It was so convenient.

Better than cabs

Great way to get around the city without having to pay a fortune for cabs. We used it for 2 days and saved a lot more than we spent on cabs the other days.
