Best city tour ever, scooter or otherwise!

My two sons and I took the Paris scooter tour from Mark this past Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed it! Mark is very, very knowledgeable about the city, and yet was conscious about not overwhelming us, 3 out-of-towners from the U.S. Mark is also quite energetic (i.e. entertaining🙂) while being very patient with all our questions ... Last but not least, although the tour was perfectly structured (you can definitely tell the preparations that he and his team have put into it!), he was able to be flexible and tailor the tour to our specific needs/interests! In summary, I believe those are perfect combinations for a guided tour for an important historical city like Paris! Barton G.

Amazing!

Extremely interesting information and ENTERTAINING! Electric scooters were fun and very manageable, and our guide (Mark) was very intelligible on Paris history and funny! 100/10 recommend.

Enjoyable, fun and satisfying

A very good way of getting to know Paris. I was able to get a glimpse of the city and where to locate them all the main sites. Tess gave us a very handy tip for avoiding the queue at the Lourve. Would recommend this trip 👌

Scooter Tour

Badass tour guide Tess was amazing!!! She navigated us through the city safely and accommodated our every need. She was very informative to the history of Paris and also answered several questions that were not related to the tour. We had a blast and it was due to the professionalism and courteousness of Tess.

Soooo much fun and information

The tour was totally ‘Bad Ass’ - Marc was an amazing guide with a great sense of humor, full of knowledgeable information, tips and tricks. My 14 yo daughter said this was the best part of her trip to Paris. I was thankful she got to see so many amazing sights and also learn more about each one. And getting around on an electric scooter made it even better. I would highly recommend this tour group!

Sick scooter tour!!!

I had an awesome time on this tour! I learned so much more than I thought one could in 3 hours on an electric scooter. Mark was an excellent guide and I felt very safe on the scooter with him leading the way.

Riding around Paris on an e-scooter was a brilliant way to see the highlights. My tour guide (Marley) was excellent, from getting me going on the scooter (first-timer), to her obvious passion for the sights & history of Paris. This trip would be a great way to start your time in Paris, or to top up on the history & stories behind the sights after you've been there for a while. I'd do it again for sure.

We had such a fun time on our trip, our tour guide was so sweet, made us feel super comfortable, and personalized the tour for sights that we were interested in! She gave us great recommendations for bars, restaurants, museums, and others fun activities! This tour was 10/10 absolutely recommend!

Mark has an amazing sense of humor, and is extremely knowledgeable about Paris! We had the best time!! He was also very considerate about scooter safety, gloves for warmth, and ponchos in the event of rain. Great experience, super fun!

We had such a great experience with Toby! As someone who has never used an electric scooter before, he put both my husband and I at ease with a little lesson before hand. He was great at pointing out potholes or busy pedestrian areas that might get tricky well before we approached them and we felt very safe. We also learned a ton about the history of Paris while seeing so many fun sights. The cafe stop part way through was super yummy and friendly as well. We highly recommend this tour!

One of my favorite tours ever!

This was an awesome tour- and one of my most favorite tours I’ve done anywhere! The scooters were fun to ride, but Mark (with a k 😉) was an excellent guide. I learned a lot of great information (both historical info and current info) and have compiled a list of things I want to do when I come back to Paris again. Mark introduced us to more lessor known things in Paris, which I really appreciated. Our safety was also very important - and that was evident and appreciated. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat because it was so fun. Thanks to the scooters we were able to cover a lot more ground than if we were on foot. Ponchos were also provided, which made the ride a lot warmer for me 😊. Thanks Mark for a great afternoon in Paris!

100% Recommend! Begin your Paris trip with this tour!

This is such a super fun way to see Paris! I booked this based on reviews advising doing it early, on your visit to Paris as you get so many recommendations of sites to visit / places to eat / things to do and how right they were! While I went on this with my teenage son, anyone 14+ would enjoy this tour, couples, singles, families and friends. You need to sign a waiver, this can be done electronically before the tour. Having never been on an electric scooter before, I was hesitant just before it started of the safety around the busy streets of Paris, (I was thinking more Johnny Knoxville Jackass than Badass) but our guide Mark, put us quickly at ease. You practice beforehand on a very quiet street and at every stop he informed us of any upcoming potholes or sneaky bumps. I was cruising along in no time! There is a corner shop near where the tour starts where you can get water for your journey and there is a pocket on the e-scooter where you can put the water. Ponchos are provided if needed and Mark had sun cream just in case the sun came out :) We stopped at a coffee shop 3/4 way through. You dont have to go in, but we were welcome of the break. There was drinking water available on tap in the coffee shop. Mark is a very experienced tour guide of Paris. His manner is fun. I learned so much about the sites of Paris, but never once felt that I was getting information overload. He genuinely came across as someone that if you didn't enjoy any aspect of the tour, he would address it immediately. He really does want you finishing the tour having had a great experience and recommending this tour to all your friends (which I already have!). Actually his services don't stop at the end of the tour as he is insistent that if you have any questions regarding any of the sites or recommendations he gave during the tour to drop him a text and they will assist. Which I did do once, and he was back swiftly to me with an answer. Badass plan to start more tours in Paris with different themes, I will definitely be booking myself in the next time I am back in Paris.

Great tour with a good balance between ride and stops, using streets that are not too busy. Nice guide. Perfect for a family tour with teenagers.

Great start to a great trip

Super fun guide, with little bits of information along the way. A fun a easy way to get a feel for the city. We did this our first day in Paris and so glad we did. Mark gave may great suggestions on what to do next, were to eat and what is the most worth doing. Couldn't remember it all and thankfully they gave us a whatsapp contact where we could contact them and get suggestions throughout our stay.

Bad Ass Guide!

The BEST thing to do in Paris

I have just returned to the UK after a 4 day trip to Paris with my teenage daughter. On our first day we had booked an electric scooter tour of the city with Bad Ass tours. How I would describe this tour: FUN, informative, interesting, learned a new skill (never been on an electric scooter before), safe, exciting… think Horrible Histories meets top tips on how to enjoy the city - best picnic spots, best ice cream, fab lunch spots. At the end of the tour I informed our guide (who was super nice and friendly) that this was the best tour I have ever been on, and it was. Put it this way if my teenager enjoyed it and said it was the best thing we did in Paris (and we did a lot) then there can be no higher praise! Book it! Ps. Also “Once a Bad Ass always a Bad Ass”, not only was the tour great but this bunch encourage you to contact them at anytime during your trip if you need any questions answered on Paris or recommendations! They just keep on giving!!

Top Notch

Mark was superb. His 12 years of tour leading shines. My teenage girls thought he was hilarious and absolutely loved being on the scooters. Having now experienced it, I can't imagine doing a bike tour - too cumbersome and unwieldy. We were like birds of prey zooming around the streets.

Such an amazing experience! Mark is knowledgeable, fun and interesting. We got to see all the well known and not so well known sights of Paris in a fun and unique way! Amazing scooter tour!

Our tour (March 11, 2024) with Mark was just the best! We ended up on a private tour because of late flights. Mark was super knowledgeable, friendly and showed us lots of great sights. Amazing tour - Badass Rocks

This is a must do! If we could give 10 stars we would. Having just arrived in Paris Mark took us to every landmark and his knowledge of the history of Paris was nothing short of amazing. I had never been on a scooter and the kids had so the experience level was mixed. We all thoroughly felt safe and had an amazing experience. We will do it again if we come back. Make sure you ask for Mark w/ a K. The guy with the C works for another tour group. This your was highly informative! I highly recommend doing this tour AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE to get your bearings of the city! Also super helpful to start figuring out what attractions you might be interested in visiting. Mark was also authentically funny and quirky in a way that you traversed the city feeling like a local. I was only in town for a quick 18hr turnaround but I've definitely got a blueprint for when I find myself in Paris again. Really excited for some of their other tours!

Fun and fast way to visit Paris!

My nephew and I had a fantastic time doing this tour! It's a fun way to discover Paris, and visit the most important places in the city in a short time. Mark our guide is very entertaining and his explanations about the places that we saw were very easy to digest for teens and for adults very complete!

Best thing to do in Paris

The coolest thing I did in Paris was try out an electric scooter for the first time, which I had a great experience, thanks to Badass Tours. Mark being the badass guide was too good throughout the tour, he was very informative regarding the sights and every corners of Paris. He also did suggest the best places to visit, eat and drink. It was a great opportunity to explore the Paris city.

Highly recommended

This tour is an excellent way to get a ground-level tour of Paris in just three hours, and you get to see so much more than other tours. Our guide, Mark, was both informative and quite fun, having lived in the city for more than 10 years. The amount of time you spend scooting in traffic is kept to a minimum, so there isn't much to worry about as far as safety is concerned, and everyone gets a quick lesson on a deserted city street before getting underway. Don't do the boat or bus tours, do this instead.

Fantastic way to see the city!

Went as a couple on a Wednesday in September. We really lucked out to have beatiful weather and no one else on the the tour, so we had our guide Mark to ourselves. As an Irish guy who has lived in Paris for 13 years, you get the best of both worlds with no language barrier and tons of local knowledge (he also speaks great French and was able to get us through some police barriers on a day when King Charles was visiting the city and mucking up the traffic flow) He was definitely a super geek with a wealth of knowledge on all things paris and told us tons of great anecdotes about the history of Paris and its architecture and monuments, in addition to recommendations on restaurants, bars, and places to visit later. The tour is scheduled for 3 hours and does kind of a big loop around the seine, stopping at all the sites of interest in central Paris, including the louvre and the orangery, musee D’Orsay, Pont Alexandre iii, the left bank and le merais. Ours ended up being more like 3.5 hours due to the detours and some bonus stops for pictures, which we weren’t mad about at all. There is also a cafe stop toward the end at a lovely biking cafe for the best croissants we have had in France and some coffee and kambucha. You are mostly riding in wide open bike lanes, although there are a few more crowded streets where you have to dodge pedestrians. The equipment is brand new and we always felt safe. This badass tour was a wonderful introduction to the city and we now have a list of places to go back to on the rest of our 7 day stay. Can’t recommend mark and badass tours enough, do it as early in your trip as you can, you won’t regret it :)

Best thing I did in Paris!

I signed up for this tour after seeing the reviews and, let me tell you, it exceeded expectations! I was nervous about riding a scooter as it was my first time, but Mark took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and checked in throughout the tour to make sure that I was alright. I have been to Paris before, but Mark took me to places I had never seen, and shared commentary that brought everything to life! There was non-stop laughs with incredibly insightful information sprinkled in throughout. No question could stump him! As we neared the end of the tour we had a quick coffee and croissant stop at a small café that was a perfect way to recharge before we completed the tour. Mark made sure we had a whole list of recommendations (I swear he knows every single cafe, bar, and thing to do in Paris. He is like a walking encyclopaedia), kept us all safe and laughing, and got photos of us whenever needed. This is a MUST-DO Paris experience! Only downside is that I don't think any other tour could ever compare to this one. Thank you so much to Mark. Can't wait to come back and take another one of your tours!

The best thing we did on our whole Europe trip!

Genuinely the highlight of our recent Europe trip. A great insider tour of Paris from a funny and knowledgeable guide! Mark did everything to make us feel welcome, looked after and entertained. We learnt incredible facts about the city and had so much fun we went on the tour twice, bringing more friends the second time. The scooters were easy to pick up even if you've never been on one, and felt very sturdy and safe. Book it now you won't regret it!

Totally magic tour of Paris

I did this tour with Mark and it was so good! His story telling, interesting facts, and fun sense of humour made it so class! He was impressively prepared for any situation, you could tell he had it thoroughly thought out! This guy doesn't leave anything to chance and in a tour guide, that's a great quality. BADASS tour from a BADASS dude!! (in a good way) We had amazing time with Mark, we had originally missed the early tour but Mark made sure to get us in later in the evening with no hesitation! Really appreciated all the updates and hospitality he gave us. Mark was really funny, constantly checking on us, informing us of all the art and cultural facts about the city. We will always be his minions🫶 The best way to see the city! Highly recommend!! Mark has secret entrances to the Lourve as well as great recommendations for dinner, bars, nightlife etc. Loved every bit of it.

So grateful to the lovely grandmother/granddaughter duo we met on holiday in the Loire who recommended my teenage daughter and I also book ourselves on the Badass Paris scooter tour. Hands down, it was the highlight of our Paris trip too! From start to finish, it was all a breeze. Great booking process and a big thumbs-up for the all-important safety/ induction prep on the day —to get our “badass wings”, ready to scoot around Paris… 🛴 And absolutely not enough words to praise our charming guide, Mark… he was kind, witty, ever so knowledgeable and clearly very able to adapt and adjust his content and delivery to suit audiences of different ages and interests. Hats off! My daughter and I both came away having both had loads of fun getting to know Paris a whole lot better—which is quite a feat bearing in mind I’d briefly lived in Paris back in the day so already knew the city a fair bit and my teenage daughter was only really in it for the scooting! So if you have 3hrs spare during your Paris stay and Badass have availability, just jump on it! You’ll be glad you did, best way to sightsee ever, 5 stars just doesn’t do it justice.
