Renaud's electric bike tour to Versaille was amazing. The bikes are top of the range and he coped so well navigating around a closed park and all around the gardens and palace. Hands down the Best day trip!!!

This was an exceptional and outstanding experience. I had the very best time, the e-bike’s make hill climbing and the distance so doable. You do want to be a fairly adept biker, there’s a lot of negotiating traffic, pedestrians and cobblestone in places and you’ll be covering about 25 miles. The market, gardens and Versailles are so stunning, I would do this tour again and again.

Such a Wonderful Day!

Our guide Nicolas was wonderful. The meet-up was at a good location and made it easy to begin our adventure. We were able to purchase water for the day at a local grocery store, but I’d recommend bringing some with you- we were able to refill our bottles at a few obvious spots which was helpful. Nicolas was patient with our small group that needed a little time to acclimate to the e-bikes (good condition). The first minutes were through an area that allowed for that. I was concerned that riding a bike though crazy Paris traffic would be dangerous but we took a route that had good bike paths that didn’t involve the level of traffic you see in Paris. Phew! Besides, much of the paths were off the roads- The French definitely do bike paths correctly. My only suggestions for someone considering booking this trip are- if you want to spend a lot of leisurely time in Versailles Palace and the gardens to read each display, have e snack or coffee at the cafe and shop, you may not enjoy this tour. While we felt the time was good for us- the crowds inside the palace make navigating difficult. Not Nicolas’ fault. In fact, he gave us very useful recommendations of what to see- so we didn’t linger on any other spots. The time was good for us! There were so many memorable and very special stops for this lovely day- that we wouldn’t have had the knowledge to find, for that we are very pleased to have decided to take this tour- Finally… the lunch stop after getting our food & drink at the Versailles Village market (AMAZING)) was beautiful, relaxing and. exceptionally special!!! Wow- having fresh bread, cheese & fruit in full view of the Versailles Palace- Perfection Great Tour! Great Fun!!

Fun excursion

Loved the bike trip but it was a little week on the info for Versailles. The lunch was a fun idea but difficult to do with no utensils. Beautiful location for the lunch.

Excellent day trip (e-bike) to Versailles

Excellent experience. Our guide Nicholas was very good. The e-bikes make make this tour accessible to anyone. Once out of Paris, it is a very nice bike ride trhough St. Cloud national park, the small town of Marnes-la-Coquette, and then through a forest near Versailles. Picninc lunch on the grounds of Versailles next to the canals (after visiting a local fresh market) was very charming. Strolled the grounds of Le petit Trianon before spending a couple of hours at Versailles. A definite highlight of our trip to Paris. (We were lucky enough to have a warm, sunny day). Aso note that the visit inside Versailles is not guided.

Bike trip to Versailles from Paris

Nicola did a great job as a guide, and the trip itself quite relaxing, while my favourite spot in Versailles is the palace gardens.

Beautiful long adventure

The trip was a wonderful adventure. The bikes were top notch hybrids that handld street to muddy trails extremely well. It has rained A LOT this Spring in Paris. It's a long day and you definitely might want to be somewhat 'bike seat' ready lol. Renault was terrific guiding a group of 14 of us through Paris streets, then along woodsy trails to our various Versailles destinations. The market at Versaille was gorgeous, huge, crowded and Hhappy where many of us found food for our picnic. I loved the day.

Fun

Bikes were very nice, guides were great and fun people in the group. The weather was NOT good but we were given rain gear, recc for an indoor lunch and an option to take the train back to starting point but we all decided to bike back. It was a fun adventure!!! Would highly recommend.

Great day trip to Versailles

Renaud was a great guide! Had lots of fun learning about the different key sites we've encountered on our way ride to Versailles.

Great experience

It was a very enjoyable ride. Small group of 6 (3 couples). Good pace and a nice ride through the forest and trails. Stopped at the town market and shopped for lunch and then dined on the grounds of the palace. Weather was iffy that day so we took the train home. Guide was knowledgeable and also let us enjoy the scenery and silence of the experience. He didn’t feel the need to always be talking which we loved.

We absolutely LOVED our bike tour! The scenery on the way to Versailles was stunning and the bikes were super fun. Our guide was so informative, We learned so much. The food market and picnic was wonderful. This was the highlight of our trip, so much fun!

Great way to visit Versailles. Exercise, local guide, beautiful scenery, visit a local outdoor market and picnic. The guide is well organized and will make sure that every detail is taken care of for your trip. 80% of the ride is on a bike trail along waterfront and green forest. About 15 miles each way, but easy on the premium electric bikes provided 🩷

What You Need To Know!

Great way to get some exercise, fresh air, adventure with a local and to see beautiful Versailles. We arrived at the meeting point via Metro and walked about .8 miles to cafe to meet the group. The ride is 80% on designated bike trails along waterways and lush green forest. The electric bikes make the 15 miles (one way) relatively easy. Renaud (guide) was very organized and planned the trip down to the smallest detail. We had potential rain so he supplied us all with rain gear. He gave us bike locks, helmets and even picnic blankets. We went to a local market to shop for food and a beautiful waterfront spot at Versailles to picnic. A nice side trip and history before he walked us to the front of the line to enter Versailles where we had 2 hours to tour on our own. When it was time to leave a strong thunderstorm hit and he got us tickets for the train back to Paris where he once again got us to the front of the line. Plan for an all day adventure to log in your memory bank🩷

Overall recommend. Would change a couple things.

Great tour although the weather was chilly and on and off rain but for most part weather held out. Definitely recommend tennis shoes and clothes to bike in including rain jacket, hat to cover ears and gloves are a must if it’s weather like we had, overcast and 50s. Guide did provide helmets and rain coverings for legs if was really rainy but we didn’t need them with misting rain. This is quite a bike adventure, it’s 25 miles total on e-bikes with a decent amount of off roading, hopping curbs and some dicey terrain. Our guide was great! It’s a really long day, Versailles is super crowded but our tickets did get us in a little faster, but if you don’t like crowds or touristy things I would not go. We had free time to explore indoors and outdoors. It was overwhelming to take in with so many people and so much history and so much to see. Could definitely be done in smaller groups as our group of 10 was quite large for such a long ride. Met some great friends in our group. We were all Americans and 4 other people in our group were from our town in the US randomly!

Loved every bit of it

This was a great tour .. we loved riding through the city of Paris and then onto Versailles. The bikes were extremely easy to ride with lots of power ! I would highly recommend this tour ! Renould was extremely professional and extremely safe! Take this tour !!!

Much more adventurous than taking the train!

Enjoyed passing through the parks and small village on the way to Versailles. The e-bikes made the hills and trails easy to handle

Fantastic Trip

100/10. Total success. Renaud has thought everything through. Clear instructions and communication beforehand. High quality e-bikes. It was a cold, blustery day, and he provided high-quality rain ponchos (not little garbage bags but real, warm, high-visibility, products) and warm biking gloves. He was patient with the people who were new at e-bikes and trusted those that had experience. The trip out of the city was a little tricky but most of the trip was through beautiful countryside. At Versailles, we had some time to stroll the gardens (maybe 45 minutes) and then went to fantastic outdoor market for lunch (the weather was bad enough for us to not do the picnic). Then back to Versailles with enough time to the Grand Apartments tour (with the Hall of Mirrors). Overall, this was an EXCELLENT experience.

Best Paris Tour - and Great Guide

Great day!!

Modern Trek e-bikes and a great way to spend a whole day on a bike from Paris to Versailles and back. Picking out our own good for the picnic on the palace grounds was icing on the cake. The e-bikes were the great equalizer for some with limited experience, but if you are not comfortable on a bike for a few hours, even though the seats are very comfortable, you may want to pass on this excursion. Worth every penny!!

Special memories were made today!

Our guide was fantastic! He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He made each person on our tour feel welcome. The route of our tour was also excellent.

Versailles by Electric Bike

Our full day electric bike trip from Paris to Versailles was fantastic! Renauds information prior to the trip was detailed and he was very well organised on the day! We were very lucky as the other couple didn’t arrive and we had a private tour with Renaud. The bikes were very good (mine was brand new) and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride out of Paris along the paths and streets, then through the forest park, cute village and into the town of Versailles. We loved shopping at the local market for a beautiful picnic lunch to eat on the canal at the rear of the palace. Renaud was a kind, attentive host/guide and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the day. This excursion was a highlight of our trip to Paris! It is a MUST DO! Thank you Renaud!

Gotta do this tour, way cooler than taking a bus to Versailles!

Awesome way to get to a see Versailles! A scenic ride through the park and forest and the town of Versailles. Way better than taking a bus. The electric bikes make it easy if you aren’t athletic and need a little boost. Good for all levels, there was a bomb threat so we weren’t able to go inside the palace, but our tour guide was great and took us on a cool tour of the city and another scenic way back. Tour guide was awesome, made sure the group was all together and was full of interesting facts.

First class way to see Versailles

First class day out with Renoux. Saw bits of Paris you would never otherwise see, visited Petit Versailles, Versailles, the gardens and the Petit Trianon. Had such fun and this was a brilliant way to fit everything in. The e bikes are in great condition and we were very grateful for the rain capes at the end of the day! Thank you!!

Fantastic bike trip. Reno, our tour guide was amazing. Versailles was shut down but Reno found other sites to go to. He was awesome, safe and very friendly. E-bikes were well maintained and easy to operate. Highly recommended

Heads up !

Heads up - This is NOT a leisurely ride. I am an experienced biker and this ALL day tour was a challenge. An older couple seemingly in good shape dropped off along the way. Another person fell on a steep down-heal cobble stone road. There are stretches of riding on main roads with heavy car traffic both outside and trough the streets in the city of Versailles (?) Without any safety ( reflective signs) provided away from the dark blue helmets. And everyone everyone in the group wearing black . Thankfully we went on a clear sunny day with visibility. I would absolutely suggest to study the weather forecast before booking and Absolutely DO NOT do it on a rainy day ( as it is advertised as “rain or shine”) . That would be both extremely unpleasant and seriously Unsafe. This activity should be advertised more responsibly and transparently -maybe rethink the road for safety and communicate the level of physical agility required and above all provide some safety gear/ signage / vests. At the moment this is one expensive high risk adventure.

Fab trip to Versailles

Couldn’t recommend the bike trip from Paris to Versailles highly enough. Our family with three teens really enjoyed it. Renaud was an excellent tour guide!

A MUST do!

This trip was fantastic!! After the hustle and bustle of the city this was an excellent way to see some beautiful parks and villages on our way to Versailles. The picnic by the Grand Channel was the highlight and Renaud made sure we had plenty of time in each place we stopped. The e-bikes are the way to go on a trip like this and made things a lot easier on the way back! Our favorite day of our trip!

Awesome experience and semi-athletic, invigorating way to earn your Versailles trip!

This was one of our favorite experiences on this trip to Paris. We lucked out on very warm, beautiful weather in mid-October. Renaud was a great trip leader and guide. The round trip was about 36 miles and included a visit to a great food and goods market followed by a lovely picnic by the grand canal. This was my first experience with electric bikes and glad to have the assist on some of the hills and cobblestones. We kind of bailed on the interior of the main halls of Versailles due to the overwhelming number of people. I will spend more time in the gardens the next time. We are both very experienced cyclists though that is not necessary. What is necessary is recent familiarity with biking, balance, some level of physical conditioning and good footwear (no sandals or loose shoes). Minimum is good solid sneakers and knowing the front from the back brake! Pack appropriate gear (rain jacket, a layer depending on weather, sunscreen, sunglasses) but don't overpack, bike bags provided. Eat a good breakfast beforehand and be sure to eat on the midday break.

A really fun way to visit Versailles!!

The tour was great! Renaud was a wonderful guide, friendly and knowledgeable. If you like to ride bikes and be outside this is a great way to go see Versailles rather than cab, metro or walking. We had a wonderful ride through the city streets and beautiful countryside trails. We stopped at a lovely Market that had everything you would need for a picnic lunch along the canals surrounding Versailles. Versailles itself was very very crowded and the audio guide was hard to follow. However, visiting Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet area was pretty cool. We would highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful Day Tour of Versailles and Paris

This was a wonderful tour heading from Paris to Versailles. Our family wanted to take a safe bike ride, enjoy a picnic, and visit the palace, we accomplished all these with this tour. Our guide, Renaud was top notch in his knowledge and professional experience in guiding us through the city. A few caveats, the ebikes assist wonderfully, but there is elevation throughout the city and some roadways are uneven, some biking experience would benefit, our teenage daughter did great. This is a MUST on your list of To Do's in this great city.

Fun adventure

Had a great time on our bike ride. Our favorite part was shopping in the market and having our picnic lunch by the lake. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an adventure.

A unique tour with a great tour guide

This tour was amazing! The tour guide was very friendly, fun and helpful. What made this trip unique was the guide’s personal approach. He was well pepared and guided us with much interest on this fun trip to Versailles. I highly reccommend this tour.

Reno has done an INCREDIBLE getting every detail of this adventure perfect! Such a fun day. You will 100% see things you would never see on your own or with a guide. The palace itself it awesome but the trip as a whole is just priceless. It was our favorite excursion out of week in Paris. So glad we saw the town of Versailles and other quaint towns, parks & trails along the way. The eBike was so fun & great to ride! 10/10 👍🏻

Adventure biking with a side of castle

This tour is an all day, all adventure tour. Be ready to ride around Paris, through the streets with people and cars and everything else in your way 🤣 The guid will take you through the forest and on small paths covered with trees. A bit of an off road excursion. Nothing dangerous but if biking isn’t your thing be aware. The tour starts off with two hours of riding then lands at the street market to purchase lunch and explore a bit. Lunch was by the water picnic style. Blankets were provided. Very pretty. The tour of Versailles was about two hours long and self guided. Be ready for crowds… but totally worth it. All and all the experience was great 👍🏻

Excellent tour

Excellent tour which lasts all day (not back till 1815 or so). The bikes are so easy to use. Great guide. We loved the market visit and picnic. A great way to see the Palais. Tips for future customers - take water and a jumper (even when forecast amazing weather as it can be chilly first thing on the bike). Suitable for confident riders - my teenage daughter would have loved it (no idea if children allowed) but my ageing parents would have found it a bit much.

Best way to see Versailles and Paris!

This was one of the coolest excursions in Paris. From biking from the city limits through a park (more mountain biking terrain), to picking up lunch and wine at the market. Enjoying the grounds at Versailles. Then actually going into Versailles. It was a fantastic awesome day for the more adventurous. Renaud does a great tour and I highly recommend it!

A FULL DAY E bike trip to Versailles

A full day of biking and touring. We had a big group ( 12 people). It kept our guide busy. He to keep the group together and deal with incidents along the way. We only had to bike a little bit in the city and it wasn’t to stressful. I wish we had more time at the palace in Versailles, it seemed a little rushed. The guide was knowledgeable and we learned a lot.

Perfect way to see Versailles

A lovely day. Left early. Takes a while on Metro to get to meeting point, there is a cafe so worth going early. Renaud was fun and had lots of interesting info. Was lovely to bike by the Seine through lovely parks. 16km to Versailles. Bikes were excellent and comfortable. The highlight was the market in Versailles, incredible fruit, boulangeries, coffee. Had the best figs I have ever tasted, sitting on the lovely lawn at Versailles. Was great to explore the gardens as well as the chateau. When inside, don't get trapped by all the rooms, the Hall of Mirrors is clearly the highlight. Incredible opulence that shows why the monarchy came to an end.

The best way to visit Versailles

Even though it was wet in the afternoon our guide made this a fun and informative outing. The palace is pure decadence - a site to behold. And the e-bike ride from Paris through the various parks was exhilarating - better than catching a train

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

What an awesome experience! HIGHLY recommend this activity for anyone visiting Paris or visiting areas. Renaud was kind enough to just take my partner and I out on a Friday and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The e-bikes have three various boost settings you can change to your preference so the trip through the city, through the woods, and up and down the hills were never overly stressful (which was great since it was 95 degrees in Paris/Versailles that day). Renaud is such a great guy - friendly and knowledgeable. He gives you plenty of time to shop in the market, take a picnic in the Versailles garden, and the two hours for the palace was the perfect amount as time as well. He’s also thought through all the details from bringing cups and a wine opener to giving us an ideal amount of time at each destination (at the palace, at the incredible market he took us to for lunch, and beyond). HIGHLY recommend this experience for anyone visiting Paris or visiting areas. Book Now and Enjoy!

E-bike tour

Guide was great pointing out places of interest. City roads were easy to get around. Riding out in the countryside was lovely. The market was a big hit , wonderful food for picnic lunch. The weather was perfect. Versailles was very crowded by the time we got in
