Super knowledgeable host, answered all questions and gave remarkable insight to each wine. Got to try six different wines and learned how to detect flavors and start to pinpoint the origin of the wine. Enjoyed very much.

Enjoyable but crowded

This was my second time on this tour. I felt there were a few two many in the tasting. The room and table were cramped which took away from the experience this time

A Paris gem

A highlight on our trip to Paris. Charcuterie was delicious and paired beautifully with wines that were served. Sommelier was engaging and knowledgeable.

Wine and champagne!

We had an amazing time at this champagne and wine tasting at Chateau O. The sommelier was so informative, fun, and encouraged everyone in our group to participate. We tried a lot of different wines, learning about their region and how they were made. Highly recommend!

We loved this experience. Our sommelier was so knowledgeable, but also made it very comfortable to ask any of our questions. It was in a great setting too. We highly recommend the location and would absolutely do it again. They were very friendly and so helpful.

An enriching and fun night in Paris!

The tour was quite an enriching experience! It provided a solid foundation for understanding the basics of wine and wine production across France! The wine and cheese selections were exquisite! Moreover, our guide, Paul, with his friendly and laid-back attitude, extensive knowledge of the subject, and his ability to teach, made the visit unique and fun. I highly recommend this tour...sit, relax, drink, eat, learn, and enjoy!

Super informative and interesting.

The guide, Paul, was excellent. He gave plenty of education without becoming boring or pedantic. I felt I knew a lot about wine and wine-making but Paul gave interesting insights all in under two hours. He was superb.

Good experience

The wine tasting was nice. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the host was very kind and was opening to answering questions!

Good wine; Generous; Not a lot of Information

The plus was a wonderful selection of 6 wines with generous pours (we had to bin some to guarantee we could get back on the metro on our feet). Very nice sequence of wine and each very good. We ordered a cheese platter and it was very nice; very generous. And if you are drinking 6 glasses of wine at 5 pm, you better have something to put it on. The bread is provided; the cheese or charcuterie platters were extra. 15 Euro. Well worth it. The cheese was the best choice. Generous portions of 5 different cheeses. The host was amiable and somewhat informative but there was little attention given to how to taste and savor the wine. And almost no discussion of the different wine regions represented and what made the regional wines characteristic. Fun. Congenial. Good wine. Didn't learn much about wine or tasting wine.

The best wine tasting in Paris!

I have done this wine tasting previously and wanted to make sure my husband and I went back during our recent trip to Paris. The atmosphere is lovely and our host was extremely knowledgeable and energetic! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves wine and wants to learn more about French wines.

Taste of France

Great experience learning about the French wines, regions and wine making techniques. The wines were wonderful as well as the Sommelier’s knowledge and sense of humor. I’ve become a wine drinker as a result.

Absolutely Fantastic!

Absolutely loved our wine tasting experience it was so much fun! The underground cellar was absolutely beautiful and the perfect setting. Pierre was fantastic at explaining and entertaining us around the Tour de France of Wine. He kept us engaged, made us laugh and was super super friendly. I learnt so much about wine and history of the different parts of France. Pierre really made this experience for us! He was absolutely amazing!! Would definitely recommend!

A highlight of our Paris trip!

I booked this event for my 79-year-old mother and I based upon the great reviews. This was one of the highlights of our trip and I'm now encouraging anyone going to Paris to do this. What we loved: 1) After doing lots of walking, it was nice to have a seated "wine tour" at the end of the day. 2) The setting is very quaint and comfortable ... a wine cellar beneath the restaurant on the main level. 3) Our sommelier was very warm, engaging, knowledgable, and a great story teller. She made everyone feel welcome regardless of knowledge or lack of wine knowledge. We learned so much about French wines and Champagnes and the regions to look for of the wines we tried. 4) The wines are wonderful, and in fact, they were the best wines we had our entire holiday. I made the statement to the group that I had never been to a wine tasting where I not just liked but loved every wine presented. The others all agreed. 5) The cheese/charcuterie upgrade option is a must, especially if going during a meal time. The entire event is a great value considering the size of the "tasting" pours ... more like a regular pour in a restaurant, the cheese/charcuterie/bread, and the wine education. 6) We opted to purchase all the wines tasted and split the shipping, making each bottle less than $45/each all in.

Fun way to learn about French wines.

Loved the Wine Tasting at O Chateau! We were a group of 4 in a larger group of about 25 guests in the charming basement 'cave' of O Chateau, a cute wine bar. Our leader Jasmina was terrific - knowledgable, friendly, engaged and funny. She kept the tasting moving nicely, working through 6 tastings (3 white, 3 red), while keeping it fun. She managed to keep all 25 of us - with very different levels of wine knowledge and background - interested and engaged. I would recommend the delicious cheese and charcuterie plate add-on. I learned a ton about French wines and wine making in general, and came out feeling more confident about understanding French wine lists. Really fun 2 hours.

Our sommelier was amazing. So knowledgeable and comfortably built strong rapport quickly. He didn’t only relay information but he also made it personal and relatable by sharing his own experiences. He’s now motivated me to learn more about wine because he didn’t make me feel awkward or ashamed that I walked in with zero experience or knowledge

We had a good experience overall. It is not exactly what I was expecting in Paris. Although very informative. Viator offer me a good price but then my credit card was charged much more. Each person had about 5 small glasses of wine red/white and we both paid a bit less than 200 € you will learn about the regions and wines in France.

Exceeded expectations

Great location in the city and great bar. The basement where they hold the tasting is very cool—just as advertised. Rudy was an excellent teacher and the wines were excellent. I can’t say enough about the experience!!

Magnifique!!!

Was here last night, what a great experience! Melanie (our sommelier for the evening) was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, funny & spoke great English. The wine bar & tasting room are beautiful. I had the mixed platter, which along with the fresh bread was really good as were all the wines & champagne which had been selected. An international room of pupils, some from USA, Canada, Australia, London & little ol me from Glasgow. I’ve now got a friend from New Orleans. Can’t recommend this experience enough

Our guide was engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. She was easy going and was able to engage the entire room, those that knew about wine and those that didn't. The portions of both food and wine were large and it was a meal in and of itself!

Jasmina was amazing explaining where different wine comes from! The wines we tasted were phenomenal! We ended up buying 3 bottles to take back home! I would highly recommend! 10/10

Unique Paris Experience

I highly recommend this experience! It was great to be able to sight see and then do this and not have to leave the city of Paris to experience and learn about French wine! Our wine sommelier was knowledgeable and approachable! One of our favorite unique experiences in Paris!

Beautiful experience

Our expert sommelier provided us a brief history of 6 unique and delicious wines, starting with of course, champagne. The setting was an intimately lit, grotto-like underground wine cellar with an expensive wooden table. It was a marvelous experience, and I highly recommend it.

Really great experience-learned so much

This wine tasting with cheese and charcuterie was one of the highlights of our Paris visit. After a visit to the Louvre we walked here in the rain and were warmly welcomed. The tasting room downstairs was perfect and our sommelier EXCELLENT and very patient . The group of about 20 persons was very diverse in age and background and fun. We were with our friends (Al in our 70’s) The six wines/champagnes were fabulous. We highly recommend this activity.

Excellent wine tasting!

The wines and cheeses were all delicious and our sommelier (Alain) was very knowledgeable. The tasting was organised so that all guests could chat to each other too, making this very relaxed and sociable. The staff in the venue were very friendly and attentive to customers. Would 100% recommend this.

A thoughtful presentation with wonderful wines.

The samolia did a wonderful job. She explained each wine with detail, including history of the region. She provided great tips for tasting and purchasing great wine. This is worth the price. (I missed my sceduled time and the wine bar was kind enough to let me reschulde. Thank you.)

A lovely experience

Lovely wine tasting in an atmospheric cellar. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism would be that we paid £30 extra (£15pp) for a very small plate of cheese to share, which seemed a little steep. However, the rest of the experience is well priced for the good quality of wines we tried.
