Eiffel Tower Summit Morning Tour by Elevator & Seine River Cruise

Very little information and help

Help! We had this tour canceled due to weather. The Eiffel Tower was closed. Our guide said we’d be reimbursed but it’s been 2 weeks and we haven’t seen any reimbursement. When we go on the website and app we can’t find any option to speak with anyone.

With good planning, you could do this tour on your own with less cost.

The views from the top of the Eiffel Tower are worth the price of the admission. However, I thought the total cost of the tour for what we received, which was basically a guided walk to the tower and the guide waiting with us in line with a bit of history thrown in, was excessive.

Great way to see the top!

I was initially concerned because purchasing tickets through the primary Eiffel Tower website was “grayed out” but booked this tour for 8:20 am. It was perfect! There are two security lines and there was the potential for weather to close the top of the tower, but we were able to get to the top and complete the visit by 11:00 am with a croissant from the cafe. The guide gave us just the perfect amount of information and it was worth the price to navigate the ticketing to the top. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Great tour of the Eiffel tour

We did this tour with Carlos and Jocelyn as our guides. They were brilliant in sharing information of the history of the tower and explaining how the tour was going to work. I cannot thank them both enough for a memorable morning.

Underwhelming

Standing in line for nearly two hours and being unable to hear anything the tour guide said (she was lovely, though!) it would’ve been faster to show up at the front of the line and buy a ticket first thing.

Bad business practice.

Guide provided us with expired Seine River cruise tix and told us we could use them anytime in the next year. Went on the Tower tour, intending to do the river cruise later in the week. When I discovered the cruise tix had expired, I sent Viator a photo of the expired tickets and asked for a refund of half the price of the ticket. Neither Viator nor Operator would refund, even with proof that the tickets we were given were not useable.

Amazing Tour Guide.

I decided to skip the River Cruise. But the Eiffel Tower experienced was amazing. Our tour guys was awesome, very helpful and knowledgeable about her job. Thank you so much.

Amazing Experience

Tour guides are well informed and friendly. The tour is well organized and was well worth the time. It covered everything that I wanted to see and do. Highly recommended.

Meh

The tour was mostly self guided. The tour guides got us to the tower and gave a brief history and then we were on our own. Not sure it was worth what we paid.

Good experience besides the time change,

The elevator ride and the view from the summit. There was a lot of people and the time change of the experience made it a little hardd to get there on time.

Worst experience ever!

Worst agent I've ever done business with! Agent does not work with customer. Very rigid, difficulty in getting to meeting place and could not do the tour and lost the 101 euros me and my friend each paid! Very disappointing!

Excellent efficient tour

Excellent communication, easy to follow directions from our tour guide. Made sure we got in quickly and enjoyed every minute of our Eiffel Tower trip!

Could be better

A great start and we enjoyed the Eiffel Tower. However, our guide had forgotten to give us our tickets and information about the river cruise. When we returned from the summit of the Eiffel Tower they had left. No one answered our messages or calls and this added a lot of unnecessary stress to the day.

Amazing guide (Mariana) and very helpful she give us many extra info not only for Eiffel Tower but and suggestions for the rest of the day!!! The meeting point is near to the tower and she guide us through all the steps until we go to the top of the tower. My first thought was at not buy this ticket but at the end I’m very happy who i deed it!!! When we was there the last floor was out of tickets but we was lucky because of this reservation!!! Unfortunate

A day before the tour I was sent a text with a voucher confirming the time. But that time was wrong they changed the time. So we missed the tour...as did others.

Tour

The lady who gave the tour to the eiffel tower was very sweet. After that we went on or own with the Seine river Cruise. They told us that you gonna see till the Notre Dam, but we didn’t. Just before the pond de arts the boat made a turn and went back to the start point.

No summit access

We did not get to go to the summit despite other people being able to at the same time slot. The view from the 2nd floor was nice, but we really wanted to go to the top.

Our guide Pedro was awesome! Super friendly, full of information, and guided our group from the meeting spot (v easy to find, the directions take you right to it) to the tower and by passed loads of the hanging around wondering what to do/go next/ how to navigate the system. The boat tour is at your leisure afterwards (if you choose the combined option) and departs opposite the tower.

Do not book with these people

If I could give this experience a zero I would. Travelled from the uk on route to Disney. Booked Eiffel tower river cruise experience. Viator changed the time didn’t notify us and voucher still Stated 10:30 not 8:45 they moved us too. We have been told we cannot have a refund. Can’t speak to a human only on chat.

Amazing views and amazing boat ride on the Sienne River.

Highlight of the ticket is going to the top of the Eiffel Tower without any issue. The amazing tour guides especially Amy who was so helpful and guided us through the confusion that happens at the Eiffel Tower entrance. Also due to Paris’s unpredictable monument closing due to strikes. Viator reached out to us and changed our tickets for the next day. Also the ticket for the boat on the Sienne River was amazing. Only negative is the meeting point bc the meeting point in front of the Eiffel is very confusing but we found the tour guides and glad they were so very helpful.

Expensive

4 hour wait to enter eiffel tower. No tour and no timed entrance. It would have been far cheaper to buy a timed slot ourselves

Avoid this tour

This tour was booked under the misleading assumption that we would have a guided tour that gave information about the tour. We assumed due to the time slot in the booking it included a timed entrance which we thought (and turns out the whole group thought so too) would mean we would have priority entrance with minimal queuing. We paid more to have an informative tour and priority slot. However it was a money scheme as we only got taken to the tower. In reality we met at the souvenir shop got a sticker and followed a large group to the tower. The group had around 50 people in it and it was advertised as a group of 20. We then got to the tower, was guided through security and queued for over 2.5 hours in the normal ticket queue to enter the tower. We were told it was because a lift broke down but this is false as we were told it was always like this. The tour was advertised as 1 hour. We had no warning queues would be long and no indication to bring water or snacks. It was very hot. When we questioned the wait , we were informed of a possibility of a refund or alternative dates and told they are not the Eiffel Tower. The company websites states no refund if lifts are broken and queues are long. The tour guides got very rude and started to shout at us when we questioned this as it will take over a week to get a refund and others reviews state refund is unlikely. As we paid a lot of money we waited. We stayed as at this point as we were close to the entrance. However, as the tour guide went pay for the tickets (yes that is correct they did not have tickets and paid for us there), the queue was closed for 30 mins as too many people in the tower. We couldn’t leave the queue at this point due to security and barriers. When we entered the tower the guides disappeared and did not enter with us and it became apparent we were not getting a history tour. They left us. All we paid for was to be escorted to wait in a large queue. A misleading advert and falsely advertised. Money making scheme it would seem. The boat ride was nice and the view from tower lovely. Don’t waste your money on this company and do it yourself.

Perfect

Being at the top was amazing!!! Perfect weather. The views were amazing! Saw the Arc du Triomphe easily.

Stressful

I booked the eiffel tower for 8.45am we arrived in plenty of time but couldn't find our guide we eventually found him about 9.30 and he said it was too late to join the group even though they hadn't yet gone up the tower . The tour guide told us to re-arrange through UTG but when we rang the number it just went dead! The following day I received a welcome email confirming the meeting point we should have met at but that was a day too late so we had to had to pay again to go up the tower ! The reason I have given 2 stars is because they did give us a voucher for the river cruise which was amazing but still extremely upset we have had to pay twice for the tower and Saturday morning was very stressful

Great experience

It was a great experience, Viator took care of everything in terms of entry . We had a stroller and they helped in carrying that till top floor of Eiffel Tower. Cruise was also great and best thing was that they gave us ticket which we can utilise anytime so we don’t have to go for cruise right after Eiffel tour.

Meh…we paid for a tour guide and finally had to do it ourselves! Save money and do it yourself!

Although our tour guide was nice, once we stood in the security line for ‘a while’ and went up…we never saw her again. It’s like, ok, do your own thing. There were too many people for one person to keep up with so when we reached the top the guides did a Houdini. The price we paid may (or may not) have gotten us through the line but we could have done what we did as far as touring completely on our own. And saved money. It was not cheap. There were things we saw from the tower we had no idea what it was and relied on others to tell us. As far as I’m concerned, tour the tower to the top is just bragging rights. The main thing about the tower is seeing it. Especially at night.

I really loved how the tour operator was friendly and spoke English because even the people at my hotel don’t speak English! She was very informative and knowledgeable and professional I would highly recommend this tour also the Boat Cruise was incredible loved the views of the Seine River and I highly recommend both!

It wasn’t really a guided...

It wasn’t really a guided tour. Yes there was a guide who got us up The Eiffel Tower, but that’s about it. The guide pointed a couple of things out but that’s about it, it wasn’t an in-depth tour like I expected.

Was well worth booking with a tour guide, it took the stress out of everything and they where both fab! The experience from start to finish was amazing, we loved every second and would recommend this

Very nice tour. Our tour guide was the best. He was very informative and dedicated even if we got torrential rain.

Not sure what the regular wait in line time is, but considering how many people were there so early, it went pretty quickly. Our guide, Pedro, was very nice and helpful.

Memorable

Greatly enjoyed the Eiffel Tower tour. Our tour guide Marianna was most friendly and hospitable, she made the experience memorable. The Sienne river cruise was wonderful, with a beautiful view of Paris from an open perspective. Great experience!

Bucket list ticked

Once in a life time experience to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The guides were very helpful. So much better to have someone arrange the entrance as it can be quite confusing. Lena was excellent giving advice and little facts on the Tower and it’s history. Highly recommended

Magnificent

Stayed for the evening lights. Absolutely beautiful. Had a great time throughout. Easy in and out with the guide.

A little frustrating

It was supposed to be skip the line but we had to wait in the line with everyone else. Took a very long time. Also meeting point was very confusing.

Hard to find meeting place. Guide pleasant, but not knowledge and difficult to understand. Only benefit was less wait time.

Not a tour - just a ticket up the tower

I assumed that we would be getting into the tower early since the time on my ticket was 8:30 am but we had to stand in line and didn't get up until after 9:30. If the tour guide gave any kind of "tour" we missed it because once we got out of the elevator, everyone just went their own way and I never saw the tour guide again. The views from the tower are spectacular but you could just purchase a ticket directly from the tower for the same experience. We did enjoy the river cruise very much.

Poor customer service, Viator and the Tour Operator.

There was no experience. The eifel tower was closed. it was an ordeal to get a refund. Viator did very little to assist. The tour opertor offered a partial refund. We booked the combined siene river and eifel tower guided tour. The tour operator offered a 50% refund which was not adequate. I would never recommend either the tour operator or viator to anyone.

No tour and didn’t refund trip

The day we were scheduled to tour the effiel tower, the tower was delaying entry for unknown circumstances. Our tour guide was pleasent, we waited 2+ hours in line. Our tour guide was given word that it would be another 2+ hours until we could get in, and we could either reschedule or get a full refund. It was our last day to explore Paris and decided on the refund verse waiting 1/2 the day. We did get the boat cruise passes which was independent, not as a tour group or guide. I messaged the company about the refund, and they only issued a partial refund. $150 activity and only recieved $75 back. The cruise passes for 2 with the company booked are around $20. What we recieved and what we were refunded does not add up. They also probably got a group ticket discount. The tour guide said we would get fully refund (or at least I would expect all refunded except the cruise ticket, but this boat cruise was NOT $75). We wasted 2+ hours in line with no commentary from guide or anything, just waiting. This was unacceptable for something out the customers control and we also wasted our time. I would not book with the company again.
