Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator with Summit option

Disappointed, out of pocket and no one cares!!

Eurostar cancelled my train 10 hours before departure! Eiffel Tower tour refused to give me a refund! So much planning went into this trip as I’m disabled! Three excursions were pre booked and all refused to refund me due to (less than 24 hours)! It was not my fault! The whole experience has been traumatic! It was on my bucket list to see the Mona Lisa, now I don’t think it will happen! The Paris attractions must know that Eurostar cancel last minute! This is a win win situation for them and leaves customers out of pocket! I was left feeling uncared for and mistreated! Weeks of planning were all for nothing and I’m £180 out of pocket!! Thanks for nothing!!

Worth the tour - and time spent for a fantastic experience of the Eiffel Tower

Elizabeth our Tour guide was an energetic and smart young lady who shared with us a lot of excellent historical information about the Eiffel Tower. She was graceful and kind and managed our tour group well despite challenges. We had booked the whole experience including going to the very top. However, the Eiffel Tower authorities briefly paused going to the very top for two hours and were not issuing tickets to the top. We refused to go for the truncated tour and waited our time - spent an additional hour and half before we got the top. Elizabeth handled this situation very well and so did the other tour operators. It was well worth the wait. Spectacular site to visit and would never ever miss it.

Great tour and guide!

I can’t say enough about our guide James, not only was he highly knowledgeable about the history but he saved our whole groups trip to the summit by stalling us for just the right amount of time to have it reopen, while countless other groups were turned away from the summit. I can’t thank him enough for this - what a fantastic move.

Easy to find and check in, our tour guide provided lots of great information. Line through security and ticketing was fast and we could spend as much time as we wanted.

Huge disappointment with their unprofessionalism

A complete disappointment. When our guide Ruth walked us to the ticket kiosk apparently they told her the summit was too full and we would have to wait 1 hour to get up there, she communicated that to the group but also started selling everyone on just going up to the 2nd floor, stating it was much better than the view at the top. Even then half of us wanted to wait, but she disregarded that and said we were all just going to go to the 2nd floor because it was going to be too hard for her to split the group. The fact of the matter is we booked this over a month ago and clearly wanted to go to the summit (top), she does this everyday so obviously it’s not a big deal to her, but it’s not her role to tell everyone else who booked the summit that the 2nd floor is just as good and make that decision. I didn’t need her mediocre facts about the tower, we came a long way to Paris and visiting the top of the Eiffel Tower was something we paid for, booked and were looking forward to. The rest of our days are completely filled and tickets are sold out anyway so there goes that experience. It was a complete disappointment, I felt this was incredibly unprofessional. I’ve booked these type of tickets with Get Your Guide and Viator on multiple occasions but have never had such a negative experience with Get Your Guide bookings. I would not recommend this service provider or Viator, and still waiting on a refund. We took a very long trip to see something this provider decided we weren’t going to see because they didn’t want to wait an hour. Many of us in the group were incredibly disappointed. There was a lady in her late 60’s who told Ruth she came to the Eiffel in the 1960’s and didn’t get to go up to the top then and realistically this would be her last trip to Paris. It’s just sad. Massive disappointment all around.

Fun and Engaging Tour

James is as an amazing tour guide. He is highly personable and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. He’s an excellent storyteller and shared many interesting facts about the Eiffel Tower in a fun and engaging manner. The Eiffel Tower is a very busy, crowded experience and James made it simple to navigate.

Ruth was amazing

Ruth our tour guide was lovely and very informative. We learnt so much of the history of the eiffel tower. She also advised the best photo opportunities. Our tickets included floors 1, 2 and the summit. Would highly recommend.

Not a good time

Spent to much time waiting in lines. If you're older this is a killer. No place to sit and rest, just have to stand.

Not a tour, just a speech

Skip the tour and just purchase access on your own. You’ll be able to spend more time actually seeing the views and exploring the different levels of the tower. Our one hour “tour” was just a woman talking about herself and a brief history of the tower while we stood in line to get in. She took us up to the second level and immediately took us inside to stand in one place while she talked more without showing us around. We then had to rush to see the tower and go up the different levels on our own so we would not miss our dinner reservation.

Bon Bon is Trés Bon

Our guide, Louise, was wonderful. She was attentive to communicating with the group. She was very clear what the agenda would be, why she might “run” ahead of us at times (but we could take our time), staying organized when the group got split up due to elevator capacity (normal occurrence). On the tour she gave us great information about the tower’s history, an overview of Paris, and her personal insights as a resident of Paris for 14 yrs. Our family really enjoyed this stress free, informative, pleasant tour with a wonderful guide.

Complete disaster

I used a rolling walker to assist my balance which the company knew when I scheduled the tour. When I arrived, the group was large and we were divided into three groups. My group leader put me on the elevator to ride to the second floor, which I did and no one came to meet me. I waited for some time, But neither the group, nor the guide appeared at the elevator so that I could join the group. Basically there was no tour for me. It was a waste of time, money, and cab fare.

This your is scam. Don't waste your time & money. Viator is fighting a refund too.

Bonbon Tours is a scam!! Be warned. Go yourself, just go to the standby line and look up 5 facts on Wikipedia and you'll have received a better "tour". You're welcome, no tip needed 😉 We originally purchased tickets to the summit, and we saw it was not a skip the line tour (which has a separate line) but nonetheless, our "tour guide" was completely unprepared. There were no headsets distributed, no tickets bought in advance (just do it yourself, it's much cheaper and faster), and no real information was told to us by the "guide" because she spoke softly to only the 3 people standing with her, then she completely abandoned us after distributing the tickets (which we could've gotten ourselves), and explaining we could get refunded for the extra summit cost. She had not purchased the standard walk-up tickets in advance earlier that day, nor online so we met up, then walked over the ticket booth and ALL waited in line together for an hour and a half. We selected 9pm hoping to hang out awhile and see the lights. Given that the entire complex closes at 12pm completely, by the time we got to the ticket booth it was 10:30pm and they stopped selling tickets to the summit. Then after the ticket line, which is at least what we could have avoided (or simply done ourselves), there's another line for the lift up. By the time we got to the look out point, they had started their process of closing down for the night.

Ok if you really want the history

Tour was OK, guide was pleasant. Would have been helpful if guide had a flag etc so we could track her better. Good information provided. Don’t think I would do a tour again just buy the tickets and explore. Do it in the evening so you can be there when the lights come on.

Truly Spectacular

Highly recommend doing this one, views are spectacular, our guide was a wealth of information. Just be prepared for the crowds at The Summit and the long long lines for every part of it.

It's as close to a scam...

It's as close to a scam as it comes: People are kind, but the offer is quite useless. Tour guides don't have any tickets reserved, but stand in line with you to get them. Group size was ~20ppl. We waited ~45min in the ticket line at the tower base, only because it was raining so the queue wasn't too bad. "Guided" tour means while waiting in line there is a 2min summary of tower trivia part 1. After ascending, there is another 5min on level 2. Tour guide only gets a ticket up to second floor, to "allow the group to explore the summit freely" ~_~ Price also varies. Don't pay more than ~35€ for the good feeling that you access to the tower is secured (when actually only your place in the waiting line is). Tower itself is worth a visit!

Great tour of tower

Yeju was an excellent tour guide and gave us great information About Paris and the surrounding areas while we made our way up the tower. I suggest this appearing experience as a first go for anybody visiting the city as it will point out other areas of interest for you to follow through on.
