Our guide Ana with experience first was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting even for our two young kids. She also shared great recommendations about other highlights in Paris as she pointed out the sites from on top of the tower. Definitely worth doing with a guide!

We had the amazing tour guide Fetah, he was very knowledgable and kept us entertained in the queue with all the Eiffel Tower facts. Booking on the tour allowed us to enjoy our time without having the stress of sorting tickets. I would highly recommend booking through Experience First, we bought a 3 activity pass which the tour was included on and it was very easy to book.

Tour Guide Cancelled because of a ‘Strike’

The day before the tour, the tour guide company cancelled. They said there was a strike at the Eiffel Tower, which clearly there was not. I had read a few comments where other people experienced the same thing. Perhaps they did not get enough people on the tour and did not think it was worth their time. We requested a refund and climbed the Eiffel Tower in our own.

Great experience with amazing views

I booked this experience through my Go city pass, it was super easy to book using the pass. The experience was amazing, beautiful views of the city. Our tour guide was very informative and friendly. It is about 400 steps to get up to the first level and another 400 to get to the second level and if you pay a little extra you can get the lift right up to the top.

Terrible

Terrible experience ever . The guide was very rude and had so much attitude when I arrived he was waiting on someone forever after all he said I’ll my guiders are on break so just wait , I don’t have anyone to take you there . It was cold and I had 2 kids with me .. never again and won’t recommend to do it online I paid a 217 dollars wich it was off course non refundable to claim the stairs wich it was thousands of stairs when asked if he could help me upgraded since he had more experience there he said no without trying I had to go up those stairs with kids with no guide . Oh man if I only knew . And the tickets were much cheaper there too

Please Beware of this Scam

I would like to highlight the horrifying experience we had with Experience First, for their Eiffel Tower Guided Tour. The tour was booked for Sun 19th May, booking ID P4KQ7HGY. The night before the tour our family (couple + 2 kids) received a notification to reach Gate number 1 by 930 am, without any mention of tour guide details or his number. On the morning of the tour, we reached Eiffel Tower by 915, confusion at various entry gates led to us reaching Gate number 1 by 930. We could not find the tour guide anywhere(please note all the info we had was a tree pic + someone with an Experience First badge), without any contact number. We searched for him while trying to contact Experience First but to no avail. After running around for 5 minutes, we spotted the guide who had crossed the initial screening, and he suggested we come to the other side while he waited. We rushed to the other side, but could not spot him. Despite our best efforts to move across all 4 legs of the Eiffel Tower, he was not to be seen. We also spotted another family going through the same experience and realized we had been scammed. Few questions for Exp First team 1. Is it not fair to at least have the tour guide's contact number, given there are so many tour guides with similar setups? 2. DId Experienc First overbooked for this tour, leading to haste from the operator and missing a few tourists on purpose. 3. I tried contacting you through mail to rebook but the rebooking amount was higher than buying tickets on our own, so it is a good way to fleece customers. Vipin

The views were amazing and Daniela was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating of our slow pace. We had a great time and it's a fantastic way to see paris!

Eiffel tower via the stairs and to the top

Melanie was an amazing tour guide. We were all afraid of heights and not sure if we would be able to do the stairs. I am happy to report that with Melanie's help and tips on conquering our fears we were all able to make it to the second floor and one of us made it to the very top of the tower. She was very king, understanding and knowledgeable. Thank you Melanie.

Great informative tour

We booked our tickets for a guided climb as all standard Eiffel Tower tickets were already booked out. We booked the guided tour & summit & after doing the guided tour to the 2nd floor we were actually really glad we did as learnt a lot about the Eiffel Tower we wouldn’t have known! Unfortunately the summit was closed on the day we went but this was out of their hands, there was the option to change to another day but we only had one day left so kept to it & received a discount for the summit. Lekshmi was our tour guide & was very friendly & knowledgeable & kept checking in& asking if we were ok & let us know fabulous tips & tricks for surviving Paris as a tourist! Recommend doing this tour even if you’ve been here before! Ps the line for the walking tour can also be shorter than the straight summit to the top - another bonus we learnt! Thank you!

Amazing walk up the Eiffel

Natalia was a very informative guide. If i had gone with a ticket of my own i never would have heard all about the Eiffel tower. Well worth going with someone who knows about the history & building of the tower

Almost Great Experience

I feel that the guides should accompany the people going to the top up onto the upper level of the second floor to show the way to access the elevator. It’s crowded and confusing and there is poor signage. Guides should guide.

Poor Customer Service

Was looking forward to the Eiffel Tower guided climb. We weren’t initially booked on the tour as the booking was full but as the tour wasn’t full the first guide agreed we could join the tour, scanned our passes and provided us with a sticker to indicate which group we would be part of and who the guide would be. Then 2nd guide acknowledged us and helped us through security. Once the full group passed through security a roll call was complete and we were not read out as part of the list. I highlighted this to the guide and explained that we weren’t on the roll call this. This lead to a disagreement and the guide stating we weren’t part of the group and wouldn’t be purchased any tickets to allow us to complete the climb. This left us very frustrated as we had previously been acknowledged by the guide and had received a sticker to indicate we were part of the group. After a lengthy discussion which went round in circles we left the group. As our passes had already been scanned we were not able to join another tour and therefore in a position where we would need to purchase the Eiffel Tower passes ourselves. Very disappointed with the service provided.

Wonderful trip up the Eiffel Tower.

you can buy Tour Eiffel tickets on the day - you don't need to go through this site

You can buy tickets on the day at the Eiffel Tower. We only bought them through Viator because the way the Eiffel Tower website is set makes it hard to know if you can buy tickets or not on the day and they looked unavailable online. We still had to queue when using the Viator tickets. You basically queue with the guide and he buys the tickets when you get to the ticket desk. The tickets are around EUR20 so the rest of the cost on Viator is going towards the guide's time. The guide was very nice and knowledgable. On the day there was strike action and the guide could not buy us the tickets that take us all the way up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. We had paid GBP120 for the tickets to go to the second floor and to the top, I only got a GBP26 refund. So if you don't need a guide don't be fooled into thinking you can't buy tickets on the day because the Tour Eiffel website is not very clear, just go in the morning and you will find tickets.

Fabulous Paris !

Amazing experience , the view is breath taking. The climb up the stairs is a good work out so just take your time. You go up two levels so on the level one there are shops, cafe and rest areas and if you cannot go up anymore just take the elevator down to the ground.

Bucket list experience

Masha our guide gave us very good explanations and historical details about the tower. But beware you have to climb 300+ stairs to the first level and another 300+ stairs to 2nd level. We paid extra for the elevator to the top, that is optional, I recommend it, the view is incredible.

Tour was very well done. Guide was very informative and did not rush the group through the experience.

A fun hike up the Eiffel Tower!

Our guide was very knowledgeable, walking, instead of taking an elevator, made the activity a richer experience and it was nice to be lead quickly through the line.

Nice boat ride but the food and service weren't great

The boat was nice and seeing the various monuments, especially lit up at night was cool. However, the food was not great (think low-end airplane food) and the service was extremely slow. Many guests had not gotten dessert by the time the tour ended at 10:45pm.

Eiffel Tower climb & summit

Hisham was an excellent tour guide. He is funny, knowledgeable and very friendly. The views are amazing took many photos. Champagne at the top is lovely but a little expensive. Oh well, once in a lifetime. I highly recommend!!

Great Guided Tour of the Eiffel Tower

We had a great time on out guided tour of the Eiffel tower! The wait to get tickets was quite long but Sagar kept us entertained with his knowledge and history of the tower, as well as fun facts. He was knowledgeable about other monuments as well and always kept us engaged. I would definitely recommend this tour and in particular Sagar.

Climb the Stairs!

What an experience! The Eiffel Tower Guided Climb exceeded my expectations. Our guide, David, was charismatic and truly made the tour uplifting. The views were striking and the history shared was educational. I couldn't have asked for a better way to experience such an iconic landmark. Highly recommend!

Take the Stairs

Great Experience and Nataliia was a great guide! In total there are 674 Steps to climb which is ~120 meters. A few people of our group stopped the tour on the first floor after 327 Steps. Keep that in mind when booking the tour.

Extraordinary summit

Marsha made the trip enjoyable with history and colorful stories about the Eiffel Tower’s origin and curious symbolism for the French culture. Climbing 669+ stairs is achievable by most people and well worth the time and effort to reach a breezy 2nd floor with glass floor. Finally, the quiet and quick elevator ride to the summit reveals a timeless view of this legendary city.

Sania made of tour so much fun! She is a real pro, very knowledgable, smart, fun and an all around great guide. Climbing the Eiffel Tower was a little challenging but Sania took our minds off of the climb and just made it fun!

Best tour with Ana!

Ana was the most incredible tour guide with the best personality and stories. I’m not normally a fan of tours because I like to see things on my own, but Ana completely changed our experience from boring to full of life. Her stories about the tower and facts she shared were so memorable. She was so attentive to all the guests, made sure we all could hear, and took care of us with every detail as we passed through the extensive security at the tower. Everything about the tour started on time (meeting, tour, tickets etc.). I would definitely recommend doing this tour with the agency rather than on your own, even if tickets are cheaper. I wish we could recommend Ana to anyone coming to Paris. What a charming and joyous person! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Ana was a great tour guide! She was fun and friendly, always made sure that no one in the group was left behind, and was very knowledgeable. She was engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with her! The Eiffel Tower itself is what you’d expect, and having Ana walk us through what to expect with security and ticketing, entering the Eiffel Tower was a breeze.

Great guide, great tour.

Our guide, Nataliia was friendly, very knowledgeable & answered all questions easily. She set a good pace for us to keep up as we climbed. In short, she was an excellent guide - 5/5. The instructions from the company get 4/5. The meet up area was not very clear to those of us who have never been to Paris - the entrances are Entrée 1 & Entrée 2 but we were told to meet at the South entrance. This was our first time in Paris so did not know which entrance was South.
