Eiffel Enjoyable Despite Rainy Day

Our guided tour did not disappoint despite a rainy, windy day. Our guide was humorous, knowledgeable and quite engaging. His demeanor brightened our rainy day and made our visit most memorable.

Eiffel Tower

Beautiful views. Make sure you go to the very top. Takes about an hour to go through security. We took the lifts, worth the price.

Great tour guide!

Bruno was a great tour guide! I learned a lot, like how we almost had a giant guillotine instead of the iconic tower we have today and how the tower has been painted several different colors over the years. Bruno pointed out several major sites across the city while we were in the viewing areas. I would highly recommend skipping the line and going on this tour!

Skip the line is a must for this attraction! Lines are outrageous As for the tower you get what you expect in the form of excellent views My excursion was curtailed by excessive wind, which meant that we couldn't go to the top as it was closed

Amazing Eiffle Tower Tour

Went on this tour with my Spouse. I cannot remember the tour guides name, but it sounded like Jack. He was Italian and his personality and knowledge were outstanding. Not only was he well versed in the history of the Eiffel Tower, but had the best personality of any tour guide we have ever had. We highly recommend this tour especially if you get him.

Tour good was fun and thorough. We took a short stroll from meeting point to tower. He shared with us history and helped us navigate security.

Won't use Viator again

Train was late and couldn't refund or bump to a later time. Viator was no help - offered no solutions to our issue. No compensation, money off, even another booking option at full price. Won't use the app again. At least if I purchase tickets on site I know I'll be on time. There's no recourse for any issue that may arise in transit to the tour. I work in customer service and were always trying to find solutions to our customers problems. "Sorry. Bye." In the event of an issue is not good customer service.

Fun Tour of Tower!

Our guide Jacopo was fun, friendly and informative! Was very helpful in guiding us to where we needed to be. Saved a lot of time. This was a great tour of the Eiffel Tower.

Disappointed

We liked our tour very much. One MAJOR PROBLEM. We were not allowed to go to the top. I expected to go to the top as I thought that was what I purchased. Please honor my request for two free tickets Saturday night. 9:00

Eiffel tower

Thought I was doing a private tour and arrived and had at least10 others with me. The last time I did this tour guide went to top with us. I asked through emails if it was a private tour.

Overall good

Overall it was fine. The guide was acceptable. She did spend lot of the time translating the info for a family in Spanish. It didn’t cause too many problems but she spent as much time with them as with the English-speaking attendees. We did join a group ahead of us as they were ready to go and we arrived early. If multiple language were to be spoken in that tour maybe that was included. If so, disregard this message.

Horrible experience!

Can I rate this experience a zero? I have used Viator in the past but never again! I paid for three Eiffel Tower tour tickets with guide for nearly $330 euros. It said nowhere on the correspondence to meet at alternate site and it had a download voucher pdf button. We went to tower and waited in line early for a 9:15 tour thinking I would see a sign or area for tours. After getting inside and seeing nothing we looked closer at the voucher and it said in tiny print at the bottom to go to an alternate location. I left my family and ran the distance to the location and arrived at 9:25 and was told, sorry too late and no alternate times. I asked for a refund and they said I would have to contact Viator. I ran back to the Eiffel Tower site and got inside with my family and waited in another long line to buy new tickets and found a family just behind us that had the exact same experience and we’re not informed where to go. This appears to be away for Viator to make more money by selling tickets and not having to provide a tour for many. Free money. I contacted Viator and explain the entire situation thinking they would make it right and they immediately said sorry, no refund. I have sent them copies of all my correspondence and asked them to show me where it shows the alternate location. They came back after ten minutes and said “after an extensive review (10 minutes), we still standby our refusal to refund your money.” I’ve been in the customer service business for many years, and I’ve always taken care of of my clients to ensure that even if there’s a miscommunication that they are taken care of. Viator is clearly in the business to make as much money as they can without regard to service level to the customer. I would beware and never use this company again.

Beautiful

Our guide was knowledgeable and skipping the huge line was worth every penny. You will still wait in security lines to get in but not the very long ticket line.

Misleading and very rude

This trip was badly mis marketed. It was touted as 2nd floor with the option to go to summit. When we arrived to check in the lady was rude and flatly told us it was second level only. When I enquired about the host summit option she very coldly told me they were sold out. I gave it 2 stars as the guide Ricardo was very good and knew a lot about the history of the tower. He was engaging and easy to understand. I would not book with this company, go with someone else who doesn't false market.

Waste of money

Bit of a waste of money paid £130 for two people only to the second floor, when you can pay €18 each when you get there for the same experience. Tour guide stayed for 15 minutes, would t buy again

Reduce price

Not value for money. Too expensive for short walk with guide when compared with basic price of buying a ticket direct

Waste of money.

Hard to believe you charge so much for such a weak experience. Terrible value. Representative at the meeting point was rude. Actual guide seemed completely uninterested.

Awesome Tour

Fantastic tour! Emma was a great guide. She took us right where we needed to be and shared a lot of interesting facts about the Eiffel Tower. At the end we got to explore the tower at our leisure

great opportunity to get to the top of the tower

You are essentially paying to have an escort get you into the correct lines and up to the 2nd floor. Worth it as it can be very confusing. Numbers are limited to the top, so this helps you get there.

Tour of Eiffle

Nice tour. Our guide was great, spoke good English, lots of history and fun facts. I would totally recommend this to my friends.

Just for the tickets

They got us tickets and that’s it. The guide lost us after the first elevator and didn’t bother to give us instructions on where to meet, go etc. we were unsure which floor we were on or anything about the tour.

Don’t believe you will skip the lines.

The Eiffel Tower was good. There is no skipping the lines that is just not true. The guide’s accent made it nearly impossible for me to understand. Save your money and go without a guide.

Worth taking the tour

Efficient way to go to top of Eiffel Tower. Worth taking the tour rather than trying to figure out navigation and crowds.

Great view, price of ticket optional as no " tour"

Brief history of the Eiffel Tower was given but no instructions about where to find information once on the second floor. Our tour guide was nice but never seen again once we got off the elevator. No instructions given on what to do once we were done (leave on own, check in, nothing). Led in group through priority security but then nothing after. Great view but not sure price of " tour" was worth it. Would recommend getting tickets ahead of time for sure but "tour" not necessary. Look for cheaper options. View is spectacular though

Knowledgeable and entertaining!

We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Shrista! She was entertaining, knowledgeable, and gracious. It made the experience much more fun than just buying a ticket. The communication from TripAdvisor was excellent. They sent reminders and clear instructions on how to retrieve our passes, where to meet, and even links for optional ways to travel. I highly recommend visiting the Eiffel Tower this way.

NOT WORTH IT

You are much better off buying tickets for the Eiffel Tower yourself. We did NOT have the option of going all the way to the top (even though it stated we could), the tour guide did not share valuable information and just kept reminding us to tip him constantly. Would not recommend. I would also not recommend Viator. They do not stand behind their tours.

Skip the line summit tour

Zac did an excellent job! Very informative and entertaining. If you come all the way to Paris don't just go to the Tower. Go with Zac and he will give you all the important information which adds to the experience.

Best Effie Tower Tour

Super fun tour! Our guide Anthony was very informative and fun! He made this tour very memorable, especially for it being my first tour in Paris

Horrible

We were flat out lied to. When I bought the tour, there was no option to buy a ticket to the top of the tower, but I was assured I could purchase that option when we arrived for our tour. However, when we arrived for the tour we were told that option was no longer available. Since it was our last day in Paris we basically had no choice but to accept the second level only access. Total scam. I will never use Viator again. BUYER BEWARE! This tour operator and Viator Connor be trusted.

worth every penny

the whole trip was excellent the eiffel tower trip was such a memorable day the guide was excellent and explained the history of the tower which was very interesting

Neat experience - be in time

Interesting to see the city from the 2nd floor. Learned about some history. Be ON TIME - even 5 mins late you’ll have to repay, which was very disappointing considering the kick up spot was hard to find with all the current fencing.

Eiffel Tower was amazing

Was nice to be able to skip the line and not wait with the crowd. The Eiffel Tower was amazing so much larger in person than what we expected. Zac did a good job and gave us restaurant recommendations.

Eiffel Tower with summit review

Great tour and had knowledgeable tour operator who knew great info about Eiffel Tower. No lines and everything was planned accordingly. We went to the top and advise everyone to take the summit option as it is well worth it.

I lost my guide on elevator going up as group was big. Then he was no where to be found . Kind of bummer ! I just looked around myself yet it wasn’t what expected

Easy experience to obtain tickets.

This was an easy way to buy tickets before going to the tower. You meet at a travel agency before heading to the tower, get your tickets, walk over in a group, and once you’re in the tower after security check point you’re on your own. Note: the “tour guide” did provide some tips about the tower which we may not have otherwise known, but overall, it’s mostly for getting in. Worth it if you have concerns of showing up and not being able to get to the summit.

Tour was okay

This tour company would be better giving us the tickets and walking over and getting in ourselves. The tour itself was walking over to the Eiffel Tower and waiting in line. The tour operator does not have bathroom facilities for people paying good money to go on tours. Would recommend walking over yourself and buying the ticket.

Disappointed with the behavior of agent . 5 minutes late and had to pay 30 euro for that.I was first time in Paris not have experience of metro system in Paris. That"s why late.We have 12.15 commitment and I phone agents 11.40 she hang up. Again I phone then she speaks but not clearly advised.then we went information of Eiffel tower office.she helped lot and phone agents and agent said her to come at her office. I did not understand then we went agents office and her behavior is like that we are made illiterate people. 15 minutes discussion she adjust us in next group and fined us 30 euro. We lost our full day.

Didn't have an experience

We arrived at what we thought was the designated meeting point early (10:15am). We called the operator because we didn't see anyone and there was no answer. We called again after walking around the meeting area (38 Av. de la Bourdonnais) and there was no answer. We texted the number provided and our message was blocked. The time came and went and we wound up purchasing tickets. We contact Viator for a refund and were denied because Viator says the tour took place and we were marked as a no-show. I'm sure there's another side of the story but if you're hoping for good communication, it didn't happen here. We've used Viator with good success previously but are unlikely to use it again.

Stress Free and Educational!

Meyli was our tour guide and she was awesome! We saved so much time and money and got a small tour of the tower’s history! They started the tour right on time and kept calm when it began to rain and storm!

Finally Saw It For Myself!

Tour guide Aaron’s personal story was nearly as inspiring as those of the brave soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy. Great subject matter knowledge. Made the trip educational and enjoyable.
