100% Cyprus - Tour to Troodos mountains and villages (From Paphos)

Great trip but do a little research.

Highly recommend this trip. Anna our guide was fantastic and had unlimited knowledge of Cyprus and its culture, wildlife and fauna. The only thing I will say is when you get to Omodos don’t go into the first restaurant as advised by the guide. Get on Google and look at reviews for others as there are better and cheaper.

A must see tour of the Troodos mountains and villages. Beautiful all day tour including wine tasting. Nice stop at a waterfall.

Very enjoyable tour.

Just come back from lovely day visiting all the places. Anna was our guide and she gave just enough information without getting boring. Highlight was probably the winery. Coach was a bit dated but well driven and had air con thankfully. All ran to time.

A very cool day trip to Trodos Mountains

A very nice day trip to the Trodos Mountains. Not too much walking, but we covered a good distance and visited a couple of nice spots and villages. A nice way to explore the area. Our group was just around 20 and it didn't feel crowded. The minus was the audio system in the bus that kept making a lot of feedback :) The driver was very skilled and drove us safely on the steep and narrow roads of trodos mountains. The guide (a lovely lady of Georgian origin with beautiful dark hair - I am not sure about her name - Daniela?) was very friendly, she has a great sense of humor, and was very entertaining and engaging. She has impressive knowledge on local flora!!

A Great Day Out to the Troodos Mountains!

This was a great little day trip to visit the Troodos mountains area in Cyprus, passing by Aphrodite's rock on the way. It was great to visit the villages of Lofou and Omodos, the Millomeris Waterfalls was a highlight of the trip and the wine tasting was a fun experience!

Really enjoyable tour with good variety of activities. Shame we weren’t able to have a halloumi tasting at the same time as the wine tasting. Guide excellent and amusing.

A Must-Do when in Cyprus

Excellent day trip, the best I have ever had and I did some.. The guide was exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and kind. She gave us lots of interesting information about the places we visited, the country, lifestyle, nature.. She accompanied us everywhere, gave us good tips about places where to eat or buy local staff. Very nice and picturesque the mountain villages we visited, the waterfall, Aphrodites rock and excetional wine tasting. I enjoyed a lot my trip. Thank you all for this great experience! PS: fellow tourists, please be kind and reward the guide's and driver's effort and passion!

Beautiful

Beautiful day trip with lovely villages and landscapes. Great guide too. Please be aware that the halloumi tasting included in the price of the trip, as advertised, works like this: they take the group to a restaurant, everyone sits down and while ordering your lunch (not included) they serve you the cheese. It is an embarrassing situation if you don’t want to have lunch at all or prefer to go somewhere else. You kind of feel you must consume something there. I believe this should be reviewed by the organisers. For this reason, we ended up missing the tasting.

Troodos Day

Great trip to villages, mountains and Aphrodite rock. The tour guide and driver were fantastic, one of best one day trips I have had in many years of travels. Highly recommend as you will learn many things of the island that you were unaware of.

Enjoyable trip

It's a long day so wear comfortable clothes . The mountains are cooler so take appropriate clothing. Villages are unique and that's a microbrewery where you can get bottles of beer. A winery that produces several wines and tasting them was fun. It's what you make of the day. The guide was knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Cyprus cuisine, what Cyprus produced and the history., plus the plants trees landscape etc very interesting. The group was a great bunch of people, made it a fun day out . Very tired at the end I'd the day but worth it

The tour guide was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up from my hotel was prompt. Lots of interesting stops including wine tasting and a visit to the small waterfall. The beautiful Cyprus scenery was wonderful. I would do this tour again when I return.

Super tour!

Anna is a fantastic guide and she brought the whole experience up a notch with her humor, knowledge and kindness on this trip. We saw traditional villages and had a wonderful wine tasting and she gave a great recommendation for lunch. We had someone who was sick on our trip and she made sure they were dropped off, near where they could get medical attention. You couldn’t ask for a better tour guide to spend your time with visiting the local area on this trip.

Perfect day

Anna our guide was superb, very knowledgeable and gave us alot of information without overloading us. The scenery was stunning and the villages we stopped in were so beautiful. It was a perfect day out.

A Day Trip to Remember

Anna (tour guide) and Circus (driver) were absolutely amazing! They were punctual for pick-ups. Anna was extremely knowledgeable about Cyprus and the history. She gave amazing recommendations for places to eat and shop so your money goes directly to the locals. Anna answered our many questions and walked us through the villages. She was accommodating to our various walking abilities. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great trip, great guide

First and foremost, our guide Anna was fabulous. She was very informative without being too much, made sure everyone and everything was taken care of and all questions were answered. Anna also has a great sense of humor and I really enjoyed her and the tour. Our driver was great as well. Will 120% recommend to others!

An incredible experience!

What a lovely day! We went to so many interesting places! Anna was a fantastic guide who shared so much interesting information about culture, history, and even plants. She was very caring, looking after each person and their needs. Driver was great- safe and friendly!

100% satisfaction

We were 100% on the Cypros tour 27.11.24, my friend and I were very satisfied. Anna and the bus driver Anassis were on the top of the last (sorry if the names are misspelled). We got to know so much in such a short time, the village of Lofou was especially awesome, the food in the restaurant was also delicious. In short we were 100% satisfied, keep up the good work :)

Very nice guide who...

Very nice guide who talked a lot about Cypriot traditions and village life. Beautiful views, peaceful. There weren't many other groups because the high tourist season was over.

100% worth every penny, a must-do if you're visiting Paphos and want the full experience

This is one that we've already recommended to friends and family. We booked it slightly on a whim since we were staying in Coral Bay and had plenty opportunity to visit Paphos itself, and we thought - this is our first time in Cyprus, why not experience more and try visit the mountains too. It was so worth it. We got picked up from our hotel, spent the day in the minibus going via different stops and staying there for various lengths of time (it was always enough time at the locations). We had the chance to try new things and go to places we wouldn't normally have thought to visit. We're so glad we did this. Things we enjoyed: - Talla was a terrific tour guide. We spent the day hearing about lots of history and detail with sprinkles of humour. It was pretty much a constant run of education but always told in a way to keep you wanting more. - The locations were excellently picked. We appreciated the contrast of the small, quiet mountain of Lofou village versus the popular, larger touristy town of Omodos. We had the chance to explore both, and learn about the history of both places. - We had the chance to try the local halloumi when we went to Omodos, which was divine. - The wine tasting! We got to try a dry white, dry red, sweet white, sweet red, a 'wine of kings' (sweeter, like nectar), and a cream liquor that tasted like Kinder bueno. All with the palette cleanser of local village bread with olive oil the distillery also made. There was an opportunity to buy the wines (plus gins etc that you could try) after the tasting at reasonable prices. - With it being a mountain trip, we appreciated the opportunity to see Aphrodite's Rock. It was on our list and this tour helped us tick that off given how far out from Paphos it was! Things we didn't enjoy: - We happened to go on the one day the bakery in Lofou was closed. This wasn't anyone's fault though, just our bad luck! (Be warned for Tuesdays) - Otherwise, nothing! It was a highly enjoyable trip. Things to keep in mind: - This really is an all day activity, so expect it. For us we were among the first to be picked up and the last to be dropped off, so our day started at 8am and finished at 4.30pm. - Pack water. You can't eat or drink on the bus, but water is allowed and it's a long day. - They do hotel pick-up from a fair number of hotels. We stayed at Coral Beach hotel & resort and got picked up from the entrance. - The seats in the bus are very much first come first serve. If you're the last to be picked up, expect to get the last pick of the seats. - All the locations (bar the wine tasting) involved stairs and/or hills. It definitely isn't wheelchair accessible, and I would be cautious if you can't walk far. - There were opportunities to go to the toilet, but I'd suggest you make sure you use it when you can. Would we go again? Most likely yes! Would we recommend? 100% yes. If we had friends or family going to Paphos, we'd strongly recommend they give this excursion a go.

A relaxed introduction to the villages, countryside and wines of Cyprus

An excellent introduction to the villages and countryside of Cyprus with the bonus of an introduction to some of their excellent wines. Our local guide, Taló, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Stunning scenery on this mountain village visit

Considering this was a cooler November day this trip was wonderful. Our guide Anna catered for the needs of the group of 21 really well ensuring no one got too cold. The day was bright and vistas were beautiful starting with Aphrodites rocks, then up into beautiful mountain villages with time for coffee, sights ring, photographing the views and so on with a stop at waterfalls. A lovely lunch at The black Goose in Omodos where the portions were extremely generous and good value. Thanks for a lovely day Anna and for the planning and pre communication that meant everything went to plan.

Definitely recommend

This day trip was beautiful. It was interesting to see different side of Cyprus. The wine tasting was excellent! The only problem, I could have, was actually the van. It was old, kinda stinky, didn't create the best first impression.

Great day seeing traditional cyprus

Excellent day trip from start to finish. Well organised and very informative. Although lunch is not included the meal at the Black Geese was excellent. A great day out to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary

A wonderful trip

My wife and I went on this tour and thought it was a wonderful trip. Anna our guide was very very good giving us so much information She was very professional but so much fun. She didn't hurry and made the tour more than worthwhile. Vasilis was a super driver and delt with the roads extremely well. We will give this trip 10 out of 10.

Great tour with Anna

We booked to go on this tour yesterday and had a fantastic time. Very easy pick up and drop off from our hotel. Anna the tour guide made us feel welcome, she was extremely knowledgeable and this was a comprehensive yet well-paced tour. Exceptional value for money at 40 euro a head. Could not recommend more!

A must when in Paphos.

100% excellent tour. Beautiful villages, great wine tasting & very knowledgeable guide Anna. Highly recommend. Got plenty of time at each stop, Anna recommend coffee shops and a lovely restaurant for lunch. Vasilis, our driver, was also excellent especially on the windy mountain roads! If you want to see the true Cyprus you need to do this tour.

A Magical Adventure

Once again I am back for a 3rd time doing this tour in 2024 and my tour guide was Angela as last year In 2023 I had Anna Bartholomeou and the year before 2022 it was Angela whom at the time wasn't sure about as it takes me a while to get to know a person and let into my life and of course soon as I got picked up Angela recognised me straight away and for me that meant alot and trust is built. So of course I loved every bit of this trip but for me going to the villages is special and personal due to the fact I have been to them before but i love the traditional side of things, cash is definitely king and my first journey is down the steps where we came out onto a stone cobbled road that is nestled between the traditional houses of the Village called Lofou. The village of course is quiet, locals few far between a couple of small shops but my favourite was the little coffee shop run by a lovely local woman who does the proper Cypriot Coffe that costs only 1 euro and it's cash only so again traditional bonus for me then moving along I go to visit the lovely lady not sure of her name I met her in 2022 and 2023 and to help her add a few extra pennies to get by she sells her homemade jams, marmalade, small wines and other little things of course I just had to buy her homemade Apple Apricot Marmalade which made her day of course she recognised me and pulled me into such a big hug and as a memory I took a lovely photo of her surrounded by her home. The next village I love visiting on this tour is the village called Omodos which of course is a busy bustling village so traditional, proper market streets, places to eat, fresh foods being sold, clothes etc and all locally made too again bonus for me but of course there is one shop in particular I always go back to as I like to buy a dress from there but it depends what the lovely owner has in and of course she did tell me her name however can't remember it naughty me ha so when I go back I will jot it down. Of course the lady who owns the shop in Omodos she remembers me from 2023 and 2022 when I visited and as a regular she gives me a discount on certain items which is so kind yet I think I am happy to pay the full price but again when it's time to leave as a parting gift she popped in my bag another fridge magnet different to the one I had last year. I even visited the monastery they have in Omodos and at the shop which I described above they sell the fabric bracelets that the monastery must make or something not sure on the conn but will ask the mext time I go and for me I love the monasteries they have in Cyprus plus again the place in the village we had our lunch in was fantastic as ever and the Winery we visited which was our last stop of the day this time I actually brought things from there as last year 2023 I wasn't too well and fell asleep on the sofa with the cat Anna Bartholomeou bless her had to wake me up and the year before in 2022 I only tried the wines so it was a great way to end the day this year with buying from the Winery. On that note we got back on time and our driver was ace too so again folks don't pass this trip as it is worth the money and for me I shall be there again in 2025 October.

Would recommend this team. The person in the shop was informative to trips available and provided clear information about the day literary. On day of excursion, Pickup on time. Anna was cheerful, informative about each of the parts of the day. Shared history in a way that you could take on board. Each stop was timed well so as experience was not rushed. Driver was pleasant & drove well. Would recommend to others .

The Real Cyprus.

You do see a lot of the old Cyprus, wonderful villages water falls winery and loads more with Anna our guide who was very knowledgeable. A super day out a must to do.

This was one of the best tour we have been on since we been in Cyprus, we got loads of information about Paphos and the villages we went too. We had enough time too explore everywhere we went too. And our tour guide Anna was lovely and helpful all the way through! Would definitely recommend this tour!!

A grand day out.

Excellent day, Anna was a fantastic guide, very cheerful and informative. Well staged stops for coffee etc, great views and beautiful villages. Also the trip was very good value for money.

Well worth it

This tour fitted our need perfectly , we got to see some interesting places, scenery was great, (helped by the fantastic weather) the time spent at the wine tasting was just right, in fact the time allocated to all the stops was just right, our tour guide Anna was very knowledgeable and full of interesting information, she clearly has a real passion for the island and this came through in her delivery. I was pleased that our group was only of about 18 so we were able to use a smaller bus as some of the roads were a bit precarious, the seating on the bus was a little cramped but we were never on it for long enough periods to feel uncomfortable, it was also air conditioned so we kept cool, the driver was very competent so we never felt nervous. The pick up and drop offs worked well and value for money we thought was good compared to what the big boys were charging for the same itinerary with larger groups

A chance to get a feel for the 'real' Cyprus

We booked this tour as we wanted to see some interesting places outside the big tourist resort of Paphos. We were picked up near our hotel and our tour guide Anna was excellent. The day out was great. We visited Aphrodite's rock which was a beautiful spot, Lofou village which was really scenic and interesting and then walked down to Millomeris waterfall. The winery visit was great - the tour included tasting of a good range of wines and olive oil and we couldn't resist buying some to take home. Our last stop was Omodos village which is more touristy than Lofou. We visited the church, shops and had a late lunch before heading back to Paphos. Anna was a very knowledgeable, and engaging guide who made everything very interesting and was very friendly to everyone. Overall it was a great day and I strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants an introduction to the character and beauty of Cyprius.
