Amazing dive, great dive instructor!

My dive instructor Darwin is sooo great! I have not been diving for 8 years but Darwin’s clear instructions, patience and attention helped me a lot to enjoy diving again!

I did the open water course with my friend and we had a great time. The whole Watercolors team, especially our instructor Darwin, was so amazing! He was really helpful, patient and cheering instructor. Overall the course was super fun and an awesome experience.

Excellent Diving Experience

Took the Open Diver's License with Jimmy. He was a extremely helpful and instructive teacher/instructor. Funny and humorous guy that is very knowledgeable about diving. Definitely will come back to Watercolors to do my Advanced Open Water License.

Friendly, Relaxing and Worth a Visit!

Cannot comment on the diving experience, as we did not do that. What I can say is that Martin and Ethel made us feel very welcome when we happened upon their establishment on New Year’s Eve. We stayed for drinks and had a great conversation with Martin. It’s a clean, well-appointed place with the nicest staff with the biggest smiles! The menu was carefully explained to us and is all available on your phone via a QR code. It even detects what table you are sitting at! We returned on New Year’s Day for lunch and was impressed that the staff remembered us and that the owners remembered our names as well, a nice touch! The menu is varied and our choices were delicious. They cater for Western palates as well as Filipinos. It’s a quiet venue in Station One, which is nice as you can escape the busyness of the rest of the beach. We will be making several more visits during our time on the island and would recommend a visit if you’re passing. Even if you’re not passing, find them out and spend a few hours there, you will not be disappointed.

Great instructor and amazing dive shop!

We had a great experience with dive instructor Jimmy. Jimmy was very friendly, responsible and patient with teaching. He always made sure we were okay underwater. We even decided to do the Advanced Open Water course immediately after the Open Water course. Very friendly and helpful staff at dive shop too. Definitely recommend dive shop and instructor.

Great diving school

We had Jimmy as our dive master. He explained everything to us in detail and was very friendly. We also had four dives in the sea. would love to come back again!!

Grate diving school by Jimmy in Boracay

We did our diving class with Jimmy. He is very friendly since he also speaks german, we where able to conduct the whole class in german or english. That includes explanations, the study book and study material and even the Quiz and final exam. The diving school is located right next to beach so it does not take long to go to the diving site. It took us 4 days in total. During the open water dives we saw moral eels many different kinds of fishes a sea cucumber and a sea snake. :)

Jimmy, the instructor makes you a great diver. He is kind and funny, but the most important is that he teaches you perfect. Become a pro diver with him. I really recommend you the course.

For fun and experience

Diving is really fun and exiting. Most specially the instructor is very good no other than mr jimmy. And he really secure that his diver is safe and then he really goods in teaching step by step.

The instructor Jimmy is very good, really good, teach me every small things. The procedure are very safe. I want to get another coarse for advance. I really recommend to anybody who wants to be a professional diver.

We found this dive center through the excellent reviews as we were looking for quality scuba education. We were not disappointed! Jimmy was the perfect instructor for our Open Water certification with a lot of patience and humor. It was an added bonus he is a native German speaker. Organization by the Watercolors team was flawless, from the first point of contact, to getting hot towels when exiting the water. We are very happy we chose this exact place to get certified and it was definitely worth the longer walk from our hotel.

Easily the best dive shop in Boracay

It was a very spontaneous decision - to learn diving and get a license, I hadn’t done any research in advance and the amount of different shops along the coast gave me anxiety, I didn’t know which one to chose. So I went on a PADI official website and Water Color was one of only 3 dive shops that you could find there, so naturally wanting to get the best experience I decided to go with them and wasn’t disappointed! My instructor Jimmy had years and years of diving and teaching experience and being his student felt easy and safe, it gave me a lot of confidence doing my first dives knowing that I’m in good hands and nothing can happen to me, Jimmy always has my back. Also, the staff in the shop is extremely nice and sweet! I was so looking forward to come back there every day for my dives and exercise. Now I got my license and excited to do more dives in the future! Will definitely come back to Water Colors for more amazing memories

Open Water Scuba Diver

I had such a great time with my dive instructor Jimmy, completing my Open Water Course. Jimmy was the perfect mix of fun and patient, and he explained everything so well for me. He adapted the course to suit my needs, stretching the course over 5 days so I was able to fully understand the content, and have time to decompress between sections/ complete the online section of the course. I am so glad I chose Watercolours, thank you to everyone, but especially Jimmy!

Jenny 🙋🏽‍♀️ is a fantastic teacher! I myself am certified open water already, but my better half took the open water course and it was such Amazon experience. Jenny is outstanding in her teaching, her friendliness, patience, explaining. 10 stars out of 5 if we could. Very good in explaining, even helping me refresh my own skills 😂😇 as I went for 2 dives with them. Professional underwater skills that leave away any fear and help the student achieve the needed knowledge and experience. Now we are able to go dive together and can only recommend watercolors and Jenny as a great, down to earth teacher. I do understand why there are so many other raving reviews. Definitely a recommendation! 😊

Discover Scuba Diving

I had a blast learning how to SCUBA dive. At first I was kind of afraid and I panicked a little, but Mam Jenny was really thorough and patient with me. She was also very assuring and was just the right amount of tough to push you to be brave enough. Overall the experience was fun. I was anxious but I trusted Mam Jenny enough to push through with the experience. Will definitely try to be certified one day because of this experience.

Came for a Fun Dive, Left with an Advanced Open Water Certification

What started out as wanting to take a Fun Dive or two turned into getting Open Water certified which then turned into getting Advance Open Water certified and if it weren't for having to fly back home for work, the WaterColors team and the community of divers who regularly dive with them would have probably convinced me to become a Master Diver. That's how good the experience was. I've only dived twice prior over the space of 5 years but Jenny and the team not only made me feel safe diving across a variety of locations but also confident in rapidly learning diving skills by having me practice them in real dive situations. Skills were taught and practiced at a pace tailored to me so I never felt rushed nor did any section feel like a drag. Jenny would make sure every dive wasn't just a check-the-box exercise but actually fun on its own. It was clear that the WaterColors crew from Jenny to the boat crew to the staff themselves (Ely, Debbie, Avel, Jacob, and co.) were tight-knit and have done this many times before. I had my fill of dives having seen Angol Point, Friday's Reef, Coral Garden, Balinghai, the Tribird wreck, Tambisaan, Crocodile Island, Laurel I, and Bryan's Wall so as much as there was a lot of studying and familiarizing myself with new concepts, this really didn't feel like "work" at all! The biggest reason for my rating however has nothing to do with the course itself, the location, or the equipment but Jenny herself. There's a reason her name is one of the top key words in these reviews and why people will fly to wherever she is just to dive with her. Aside from her professionalism and skill, it's clear she's passionate about this work and is as excited (if not more) about getting underwater as I was even if she's done hundreds of dives over the years. Admittedly, I got lucky as I was her sole student on all the dives on account of COVID but I can guarantee she takes just as good care of groups. I struggle to find anything negative with my experience save for perhaps the one time we weren't allowed to dive as a VIP was in the area but that has more to do with Philippine politics than anything WaterColors could control. Seriously...whether you're considering diving for fun or pursuing a certification, WaterColors is your bet so make sure you allocate enough time to get the full experience with them. I'm certainly going back!

A great spot for learning diving

One of the best and challenging three days of my life. A few weeks ago I would never have believed to go diving. I am so super happy I learned diving with Josh. He is an excellent teacher and I had a lot of fun. Thank you so much for this experience! I am looking forward to go diving as soon as possible and exploring the underwater world.

Open water certification with watercolours

My wife and I flew into Boracay with no plan. We touched down onto the white sands and saw straight away it was the perfect place to dive. So we went on Klook and found watercolors and booked it immediately. The following day we were there bright and early and were met by Josh and the team. Josh was our instructor and was quite frankly brilliant. He was clear in his explanations , patient and very supportive. The admin team were also excellent making sure we had all the necessary equipment, schooling and generally managing our time well. It was an intense 3 days but totally worth it and thanks mainly to Josh and Watercolors my wife and I are now true lovers of the open water!

just chill and dive

Watercolors is simply amazing. I came to get certified because this is the only PADI proved 5 star dive center on boracay according to PADI website. It's been a truly 5 star experience with lots of fun. Jo was my instructor who's totally awesome. He guided me with not only professional knowledge and skills, but also real passion for diving and the sea. He's fun, cool and enlightening at the same time. This will be a memory for life and I wish more people can come and join the dive family here.

First of all thanks to my awesome instructor Josh, he taught me everything I need to know how to be a safe diver and have fun in the water! Everything about the course was smooth and easy, love the office crew as well, thanks for taking care of me! Diving with Watercolors in Boracay is a fabulous experience. There are about one million dive shops on the island - don't be fooled, the most quality instruction and attention is found at Watercolors (we dove from station 3, but they can also be found at station 1). From our first step into the shop, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Jenny is a wonderful, attentive, sympathetic instructor. The equipment is top notch. We originally paid only for the discover scuba diving (one day) course; after Jenny's encouragement, we decided to push on and become PADI certified open water divers. We loved diving with her. The instruction was individual, intensive and appropriate - we feel more than equipped and are thrilled with our PADI certification. We have found a new love of diving, and it's largely in part to the care shown by Jenny and the staff at Watercolors. Book your diving experience with Watercolors - you won't be disappointed.

A wonderful and memorable open water lesson

WaterColors gave me an wonderful time taking my Open Water Diving Course. The staff was friendly and the equipment was well maintained. The instructor for my course was really experienced and helpful throughout the sessions. Everything was clearly explained and was really helpful when I had questions. The dive lessons were well taught and I really learned a lot. It was indeed a unforgettable experience with WaterColors.
