Excellent Tour

I had a great time visiting Stonehenge and Bath with my friends! Our guide, Fred, was very knowledgable and friendly. Having the van to transport us from Oxford made it possible to visit both sites in one day (I don't think I could have planned it myself without access to a car).

Amazing guide and very comfortable travel!

These destinations are a must see in your lifetime. I had friends that tried doing the same journey and it didn’t only consumed more time, but more money as well. Not to mention that the tour guide, Fred, provides very clear and relevant information to understand in depth the significance of the places we visited. Plus, he’s really cool to talk to. Highly recommended!

Fred: Awesome Guide

Fred was an incredible guide and driver!!! He got us to Stonehenge before the crowds arrived. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the sites we visited, and we learned so much. We truly enjoyed this memorable day with such a wonderful tour guide. I highly recommend Fred for this tour. And the tunes he played en route were awesome!

Stonehenge and Bath in Eight Hours

I really enjoyed the Bath tour. Fred covered the top spots very well and had lots of interesting tidbits to share. Fred was quick to take photos on our phones whenever requested. Roman baths were also worth visiting.

Excellent touring with Fred

Beautiful, enjoyable tour!

Cancelled day before

Terrible. Cancelled the day before the tour so left me in a pickle with no option to get to Stonehenge. They advertise on several sites but it is all the same tour. Don’t pin your hopes on this. Very rude and unprofessional.

Paid for it, date not available, no refund.

I booked a tour on a specific date and paid for it (a few hundred pounds). Afterwards, we received an email saying that the date was not available. They suggested another day, I accepted. They write again saying that date was not available either and offering a full refund. I had to chase them for a refund, without any answer. In the end, I had to ask my credit card provider to intervene in order to get the money back. Very disrespectful.

Our tour guide Mark was excellent for us. Very academic approach to the subject matter, perfect for a family of nerds like us. Stonehenge was perfect, Bath was too rushed. We will go back!

Wonderful day in Bath and Stonehenge

We had a fantastic day in Bath and Stonehenge with Mark Merrony. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and helped us make the most of our visit. The trip is suitable for all ages from teens to older adults; my mom, who is in her mid 70s, really enjoyed it. We had enough time in Bath to see the highlights, then had a great time exploring Stonehenge with Mark's guidance. A stellar day out from Oxford and well worth the price!

Great tour with Mark Merrony

Mark is an archeologist and a history professor at Oxford who took us on a wonderful adventure through Stonehenge and Bath. The day was filled with information and interesting tidbits not heard on your everyday tour. Mark is informative and entertaining and we would highly recommend his tours for any aspect of Oxford tours.

Our Trip to Bath and Stonehenge

It was a bit chilly and windy but it was a great tour to Bath where we toured the Roman baths and Bath Abbey. Then we were on to Stonehenge where our guide Mark gave us a great talk as we walked around the huge stones. As always we wished that we could have had longer at each place. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also personalble.

Perfect day in Bath and Stonehenge1

I booked this small group day tour from Oxford to Bath and Stonehenge and it did not disappoint. There were 3 of us (plus a well behaved baby) on the tour. We had an early start and drove to Bath where we were given a brief overview and then had free time to explore on our own. We then drove to Stonehenge, the definite trip highlight, and were guided around the stones by Mark (our tour guide), who had an archeology degree so he was very informative and knowledgeable! We also did a bonus trip to Woodhenge on the way back which was very interesting. All in all a perfect day and the weather cooperated which was even better!

Excellent small group tour

My husband and I had an excellent tour of Stonehenge and Bath with Mark. Mark is very knowledgeable and personable. He arranged for us to beat the crowds at Stonehenge and also introduced us first to Woodhenge which is a wonderful precursor. Our tour of Bath was fascinating and we also learned much during our drive time in the van. I highly recommend this experience as it is one of the highlights of our six week stay in Oxford this summer.

Oxford to Bath and Stonehenge

Recently went on a trip to Bath and Stonehenge from Oxford with our tour guide Mark. Mark was a fantastic guide and was really passionate about Stonehenge. He was better than the audioguides they provided us with at Stonehenge! He was easy to talk to and attentive, even getting us waters and making sure we were comfortable during the tip. He was so knowledgable about Bath and Stonehenge and was definitely worth the trip. Would definitely recommend!

Driver/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, as well as a very safe driver. A little cramped for time in Bath, but overall an excellent tour.

Lovely small group tour.

Our family of five had a great low-stress tour with Mark. Traveling with a three year old can be a bit rough, but the air-conditioned van left Bath towards Stonehenge at the perfect time for a nap. We'd thankfully brought enough toys and games to keep the kids occupied for all the driving. It was definitely much less stressful than taking the train, transferring, and hurrying on a strict time schedule. Mark was very knowledgeable, and made sure we were all comfortable, and had nice cool water for us at Stonehenge on a very hot day. He shared a lot of information about the architecture and design of Bath, as well as interpretations of Stonehenge. The trip starts out on the sidewalk outside 5 Broad Street, but if you are there say 1 hour early - there will be nothing to see, and no one to check in with. Fortunately, there is a nice coffee shop and bakery around the block! Keep in mind you'll be in a shared van with a few other people, so this can be a bit stressful with a young child if you are trying to be polite and keep them quiet. This would be the same as a large tour, or if taking the train. If you are traveling with a family, really want to see Stonehenge, and are willing to entertain your children for a few hours in the car to keep them relatively quiet, then this is definitely the way to go!

We had the most amazing day visiting Bath and Stonehenge. Our guide, Fred, was fantastic. He was intelligent, knowledgeable, and fun! We learned so much from him and we would recommend his tour to everyone. Highest ratings to Fred and his team!

Daytrip to days past

A wonderful day trip seeing historical Bath and ancient Stonehenge. Picked up early morning at our quarters by Mark, an archaeologist/driver/guide. Mark was fast to tell us that this wasn't a stress trip. All of the tour would take the time it took. Being a bit passed middle-age this suited us just fine. Rolling through the green England we arrived in Bath and had a tour of the Crescent and the Circus with excellent guiding. Roman baths a bit of a disappointment. £16.50 for entrance without even a quick dip in the pool. Nice abbey that Mark had a lot to tell about. On to Stonehenge in the bitter weather after a nice pub lunch. Stonehenge being such a mystery is in many ways a thing for the bucket list. Been there, seen it. Still good guidance from Mark. We have to let our imagination do the rest. Home again in good time for supper.

<p>A wonderful tour with Fred. Great, central pick-up and a relaxing drive out to Bath and Stonehenge. Fred's wealth of historical knowledge was second to none and was told in a very enthusiastic and entertaining way. Also, Fred's personal experiences of travelling gave him the edge on many other tour guides I've had before, which was a great talking point. Plenty of time to look around beautiful Bath and the trip to Stonehenge was a must-see even in the teeming rain! I will definitely be using this company again for other tours!</p>

Besser hätte dieser Tag nicht sein können. Wir hatten den sehr netten Tourguide Marc , der meine Tochter und mich erst nach Stonehenge und dann nach Bath gefahren hat. Wir hatten genug Zeit, um uns alles anzusehen, Marc hat in Bath am verabredeten Treffpunkt gewartet. Er ist sehr freundlich und ein sehr sicherer Autofahrer. Thank you Marc for this perfect day.
