A cracker of a day with Joel!

Recommended by our accommodation, Noosa Shores Resort, a morning call from Joel from Joel’s Journeys confirming our imminent pick up set the tone from this friendly tour guide. Settled into his super comfy van with great viewing windows and we set off for Old Gympie Station for our start with the Mary Valley Rattler. Atmosphere galore with character volunteers at the station and on the train and beautiful scenery in abundance. History check. Atmosphere check. Good vibes check. Met by Joel at Amamoor and we were off again for a day of touring the beautiful townships and surrounds of the Mary Valley. Lots of interesting and passionate commentary, short nature walks suited to young and old, incredible lookouts and wrapped up with a delicious lunch at Kenilworth with time to sample treats (artisan cheeses, bakeries, chocolatier). A cracker of a day out with a friendly and passionate local, highly recommend the Mary Valley Rattler tour and we will definitely do further tours with Joel.

Enjoy the Mary Valley Tour

We had a great day travelling through the Mary Valley with Joel’s Journeys. Morning coffee was unique and the coffee very good. The scenery was spectacular as we made our way to the `Rattler’ and the town of Kenilworth where we had a great lunch and time to explore the town with its famous cheese factory. A walk through the forest with the amazing Fig Tree ended the tour. We highly recommend the tour which was conducted in a most efficient and pleasant way.

This is a well planned and very well organised tour. Joel is very knowledgeable and has gone out of his way to ensure that he researches the local area before conducting each tour. He deserves the well earned title of Queensland’s best tour operator. The complete experience, including watching the Rattler arrive and rotate was brilliant.

Highly recommend this different tour. Trains, views, wine tasting. Bellbird stop. Lunch then visit to amazing Johanna’s dress shop in Kenilworth. Wonderful day Joel thank you.

Wonderful trip to Mary Valley

What a wonderful day out! Joel showed us little pockets of the Mary Valley we would not have found on our own. His knowledge of the local history, flora and fauna was second to none and his relaxed and pleasant manner made for a wonderful day out which we will remember for a long time. We look forward to organising another trip with Joel on our next visit to Noosa. 5 stars indeed!

Busy day

My friend and I were picked up so neither of us had to drive anywhere which is good when you are intending visiting a winery. The Bus Stop for morning tea was delightful with very good coffee and carrot cake. Lunch was also very nice and we all really enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting. We thought the train was terrific and would have liked to experience riding on it. The bell bird Forrest was delightful. My only real negative comment is that we should have been supplied with water especially as it was a very hot day. Any day trips I've undertaken have always supplied water. Otherwise we should have been advised to bring water. Our host is a very personable, energetic young man and we wish him well.

Great day in Mary Valley!

Joel is an excellent tour guide. He is very friendly, passionate and extremely knowledgeable of the areas we visited. I would highly recommend this tour it was a great way to see Mary Valley with a varied itinerary. The wine tasting at the end of the tour was great too! Based on the tour we did today we will definitely book one of Joel’s other tours when we return to Noosa!

Vineyard stops, chocolate tasting, quaint antique & vintage shops along with breathtaking views, a waterfall, beautiful walks and mountain ranges. A great day out, excellent commentary and in depth knowledge of the landscape and hidden gems we never would have found ourselves. Top day- highly recommend.

A journey that you can’t miss

What a Journey that I had yesterday the view said Joel took me to wear, other this world almost incredibly informative are down to earth and just the most amazing human tour guide you could ever ask for.

From the beginning Joel went above and beyond expectations. He made us feel relaxed and welcome aboard for a full day of touring, fun and even learning about the local geographic landscapes, townships and food!
