I went with my 2 daughters and it was the best time. I recommend trying it out. We had a big group with 4 instructors and they were all patient and helpful. They really wanted you to be able to catch a wave. The 2 hours flew by and afterwards we spent most of the time at the beach. It was a fabulous way to spend a day at Noosa and we would all do it again.

Great Surf Lesson for beginners!

Although I was the only one who booked the surf lesson in the afternoon, the lesson was not canceled, which I really appreciated. My instructor (Rease) was very nice, helpful and taught me a lot in the two hours. The location is great for beginners, and I could easily stand on my surfboard at the end of the lesson. "Go Ride A Wave Noosa" is great for your first tries on a surfboard.

Excellent first surf lesson

The lesson was a lot of fun and the instructor (Valentin) was brilliant! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to give surfing a go!

Awesome surf!

Thank you for teaching us cool tricks and how to surf. Our instructor Valentin was great, very patient, and he gave us a couple of tips and tricks about surfing. Overall it was an amazing experience.

It was a rainy day in Noosa, but Rees and his team made our surfing experience great. The event was well-organized, and the trainers were friendly and attentive. Taking the beginner surfing course was an absolute blast! From learning the basics of paddling to catching my first wave, every moment was filled with excitement and encouragement. The instructor was patient and knowledgeable, creating a supportive environment for everyone to learn at their own pace. By the end of the course, I felt confident and exhilarated riding the waves. Really easy to book and find. Instructors were great, clear instruction and helped tailor the session to your ability level which was perfect for an oldie like me!

Amazing experience!

The introduction was short, interesting and helpful. After that we were able to try out surfing on our own with some helpful tips here and there. That was so fun. I learned a lot. And best, we were only 9 people for two instructors!

We had a fantastic time with Valentin as a teacher during 3 sessions and changing conditions. He managed to guide us individually in consideration to our different levels. Made it fun for everyone. Valentin was so good at pointing out where to improve and what was done right after every wave. Ask for Valentin and you’ll ride that wave 100%.

Valentine taught us, how to surf in one lesson. He instilled us with confidence to excel at the sport and has made us want to continue in the future. He gave us straightforward instructions on the sand and then we got straight into the water. We had about an hour and 15 in the water which was heaps of time! Would 100% go again!

Good fun

It was fun and the instructor we hade (valentine) was really good. Perfect amount of information before we could enter the water. I felt that I had enough time and help from the instructor.

Senior Surfing for the first time!

My daughter and I had an amazing surfing lesson with Valentine. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was nervous about trying surfing and didn't think (as an unfit 65 year old) that I'd ever be able to get up, but I did! Brilliant experience!

Attended a 2hr surf lesson with Eugenio and Valentin. Both were very friendly, provided constant feedback throughout the session and were all around great instructors. I would definitely recommend Go ride a wave if you are a complete beginner and want to learn the basics to get into the sport.

A great experience and would recommend! First time surfing for me and my brother and we both stood up with the help of a few of the instructors! Lesson is only really an hour in the water with walk times/safety brief etc, however that was plenty!

Great intro into surfing

Thanks for a great intro into surfing. My 12 yo and I did a beginner class and followed with a private lesson. Our instructor Val was awsome not only catering for different skills but both different ages with enthusiasm and professionalism.

A memorable day with fantastic and knowledgeable teachers. Surfing is a lot harder than it looks but seeing my 12 year old stand up and ‘surf’ was fantastic. Valentine, Eugenio and Reezy were so helpful. Thank you for a fantastic day!

My visit provided me with the opportunity to learn to surf in a fun and easy going environment. Set within the most amazing surf, perfect for beginners, the price is so cheap, value for money without missing out on any quality in experience.

Great experience with Matt and Whitney

I did go ride the wave with Matt and Whitney. Whitney and Matt were incredibly friendly providing a structured approach. I felt Matt was incredibly attentive, giving each individual a feeling of undivided attention

Professional and attentive instructors

Matt and Whitney were super helpful instructors. There were 10 other students in the lesson, which meant there was ample time to get assistance from them during the lesson. Glad I booked it!

Absolutely fantastic time learning to surf today with our instructor. He was so knowledgable and able to cater to all levels in our group. Would 100% recommend to others wanting to learn to surf!

Great experience

I had two lessons and it was a great experience. Although the ocean was a little wild both times I went, the surf coaches were supportive and encouraged me to keep going. I had my lesson with Valentin today, which was great, and my first lesson with the lovely woman who I can’t remember her name but she’s amazing! Thank you guys 😊

Try surfing with the best

Highly recommend! They were lovely and so encouraging and helpful! It was so much fun! Even though I’m not a big beach person it was great experiencing the water this way

Did not get picked up

They never picked me up although I went to the meeting point indicated on TripAdvisor. I waited for 30 minutes in the sun and saw they had called me. I tried calling back and texting but no sign of them.

Best Surfing experience

The best surfing experience! My kids (12 & 14), have been doing this every year with Go ride a Wave. Valentine, our instructor was very knowledgeable. Explained everything to the kids before the lesson and provided feedback to them after the lesson. The kids loved it all! Thank you :).

My wife and I had an awesome time with Reezy. We had 3 others in our group and he was clear in his instructions from start to finish. Despite the small surf he still managed to get everyone on to waves. Highly recommend
