Awesome sea kayak experience

The sea kayaking experience was awesome. The wildlife was incredible in particular the amount of dolphins we encountered was something really spectacular. Would definitely recommend.

BEST DAY EVER

BEST DAY EVER ! Saw up close 2 pods of dolphins. At least 3 hump back whales. A giant sea turtle, fish, birds, jellyfish and more. Kevin was an absolute legend. Great with everyone and very accomodating to little kids and families. He loves what he does and he loves pointing out wildlife and telling us about it. I think I saw at least 20 whales on this tour. Best tour I’ve ever done ! Highly recommend

Brilliant Trip

Brilliant Trip would Highly recommend for a day trip..got to see whales up extremely close and also dolphin’s as well. Kev was a brilliant guide and couldn’t off asked for better.

Incredible Experience, Great Guide

Our day with Epic Adventures was great fun, well worth doing when visiting Noosa. The day was well organised and Vince, our guide, was super friendly and good fun. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and sting rays - 100% recommend.

Best day trip from Noosa

Had the most fabulous day kayaking. Our guide Eliot was incredibly knowledgeable on the local wildlife (especially birds) and would stop and point them all out to us. On our excursion we saw a few whales which was awesome as well as dolphins and sea turtles. I would highly recommend Eliot and the team at Epic adventures for anyone looking for a fun day trip from Noosa!

Our guides Cam and Nick...

Our guides Cam and Nick were amazing. Unfortunately other than one Dorsal fin we didn’t see any animals but the place is so incredible and the guides were great that the kayaking experience by itself was worth the trip. We had rough enough conditions so wasn’t for the faint hearted or poor swimmers, and was a little sea sick inducing for some. Over all a great day out.

A very nice experience

I went on this adventure and had such a nice day! The guide was passionate and gave a lot of information about the area, wildlife, history, culture etc. We were lucky to see the dolphins within a few minutes and also the weather was working with us. I would recommend!

Such an incredible experience. The day was filled with learning about the wildlife in Noosa and exploring the ocean. Seeing the dolphins was definitely a highlight, making the whole experience magical. The instructors were great fun and enjoyed having a laugh with us as well. Would definitely recommend to all - even just visiting the exclusive 4WD beach was jaw dropping.

I good opportunity to get up to Double Is if you can't drive yourself

I am a local resident and I booked this tour to take a friend from overseas up to Rainbow Beach. Tyson and Nick were our guides and I thought they made this such a pleasant experience and well worth the money. We didn't see dolphins but we saw lots of tuna jumping all around us and birds diving for fish. I really enjoyed that experience and the time on the water wasn't rushed, so even if you don't see dolphins don't be disappointed because the views and time on the water is very special.

Great experience

Amazing spot and Kev and Vince were very helpful and put us at ease as we kayaked out much further than we would have done on our own. Beautiful views and a lovely sunset before unique drive home along Noosa north shore. A great day enjoyed by all the family.

Epic 4WD and Ocean Kayak Adventure

Our trip with Epic Kayak was first class, the 4WD tour along the ocean beach was fantastic with great wildlife spotting along the way. Kayaking out into the ocean was great fun, we saw sea eagles, dolphins, tuna. Our guides Kev and Vince were really knowledgeable and made for a really memorable experience for the family that will be with us for years to come. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

A fun day of sand and paddling!

An excellent day with Vince and his team exploring the amazing Great Sandy national park north of Noosa Heads. Great drive up the beach highway in a comfortable custom 4X4 coach to Double Island point followed up by some great kayaking off the point and lighthouse, even had a pod of dolphins swim by to join the group. Everything was well organized, equipment was all in great shape, and Vince and the team ensured we had a fun, safe and informative day. Overall an excellent day and we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area to try out this tour to see all that the area truly has to offer. Thanks for an amazing day!

Dolphin Kayak!

We had the best tour and guide for our dolphin kayak trip :) We got to see so many dolphins and they came so close to our kayaks!!! Was magical

Didn't feel safe - tough sea conditions and low instructor ratio with group with kids

I did not feel safe on this tour unfortunately. I was on the kayak tour with a couple, my sister, a single lady, a mum her 2 kids and the instructor. The waves were quite big and it was very tiring. I felt if we got into touble we would not all have been ok. The mum with the kids was struggling so the instructor connected his kayak to theirs (it didn't help the mum did not paddle much when connected). He said he was exhausted and also had a back injury to be careful of - this concerned me as it was in the middle of the trip and it was quite hard work to paddle. Myself, my sister and the single lady got pretty seasick. The instructor had some tips on how to aleviate it - also suggesting we were shallow breathing. I think I was doing this because I was so afraid. I think further instruction would have been helpful, such as how to get back into the kayak if we capsized in the ocean. There was confusing instructions on how to get to shore - no one seemed sure of what to do, and the instructor saying to both come in and to wait and he would swim back out. Thankfully we got in ok. I think with the kids and the sea like that an additional instructor would have been better. I didn't see any sea animals, but a couple of people saw 2 crabs - though this is of course never guaranteed. The instructor gave good info on the drive to the sea on the local landscape. I suggest checking the weather before booking - if it's not good conditions with a calm sea I'd consider doing something else. It's also cheaper to do a similar tour from Rainbow beach, and also further down the gold coast

A Great Day Out

The 4 wheel drive along the beach is very scenic and not something you do every day. Sea kayaking is safe and achievable for all skill levels. Unfortunately no dolphins for us but, hey the have to have a day off every now and then. Cam was our guide for the day, great guy, professional and very informative. I recommend this tour highly. Dolphin and turtle kayak adventure!

This beautiful day trip was the highlight of our time in Noosa! We were lucky enough to have one cool dude called Vince as our tour guide, who had a wealth of knowledge about the local area and was clearly passionate about the wildlife and really brought the good vibes and good times! As soon as we got into our kayaks we instantly saw Turtles, Vince was so informative, passionate and answered all our questions in detail about these beautiful species! We certainly learnt a lot from him! Soon after we were fortunate enough to see a pod of dolphins which we spent most of our time observing! This experience is one to remember!

Challenging paddle

Full disclosure: my husband and I are in our mid-60’s in average physical condition. We both have kayaked before in lakes on kayaks with back support. We took the tour anticipating a much more mellow paddling experience. We rode in the 4x4 van over the beach (which was cool), but when we got to the site in Noosa heads the waves off the beach and the current were more than we expected (it was pretty windy…we overheard some discussion about going to a lagoon instead, so conditions may not have been typical). But since we were there we figured we might as well try. Vince, our guide, gave instructions and off we went. Paddling was much harder than either of us anticipated and between the swells and the current it was tough to keep the kayak headed straight into the waves to prevent tipping over (one couple did). In addition, the lack of back support on the top-sitting sea kayak seat made for a challenging paddle (core and hip flexors were sore the next day). We couldn’t really appreciate the surroundings (Fraser island) and by the time we caught up with everyone (we were among a few kayaks that lagged behind), we missed most of the commentary by Vince, who was leading. We ended up riding the waves back in too soon (at the edge of the swimming area) because the current kept pulling us in amd we didn’t want to tip over (I was told a number of others did tip). So we had to carry the kayak down the beach back to the vans. Didn’t see any dolphin or much other wildlife either, but frankly I was so busy paddling a whale could have passed me and I wouldn’t have known. All in all it was a challenging experience and I’m glad we finished “successfully”, but not one I would want to repeat. I think the literature for the tour should probably be a little more forthcoming about the potential for rougher conditions due to wind.

Shallow water kayaking - no chance or mention of dolphins

The team are great and made the experience however this is not Epic Kayak with dolphins and is very much misleading and false advertisement. I understand nature and wild life can not be predicted but we kayaked approx 20mins in shallow water (knee length) and saw nothing then kayaked over some waves (knee length). I am no dolphin expert but we didn’t even get into the ocean (past the surfing waves) and the team never mentioned them. All we saw was dead jelly fish and a lizard. Not worth the 2 hr drive there and back. lovely team, great bus but should be advertised as more of a rainbow beach tour wish we didn’t bother booking unfortunately.

Memorable experience!

Vince and Elliot the Tour guides, were excellent and made for a wonderful experience. Honeymoon Bay was a beautiful stretch of Australia.

What an experience! Would absolutely choose this trip again.

The kayaking was terrific. Was a little nervous about kayaking in the ocean as I’ve only kayaked in lakes, but the instructor Vince was very helpful, and the ocean was actually pretty calm. Loved the time on the water. Did see a dolphin and several sea turtles.

Magic dolphin encounter

Everything about the tour was special - Vince gave us fascinating facts about the environment, drove along the beach superbly, gave us clear directions on how to paddle through the waves, and led us to a spot where we were literally surrounded by dolphins. It was utterly epic! We paddled a little further to get a good view of the lighthouse, rested briefly and then paddled back, into the wind, spotting more dolphins, before catching a wave that deposited us safely back on the beach. Vince is accomplished, charming and patient - he clearly loves his job and living in the moment!

Most memorable and beautiful kayaking experience

Simply excellent. Energetic and fun guides (props to our guide, Nick). Outstandingly beautiful lagoon and ocean kayaking spots. Great variety of sea animals to spot. Sand dune ride every bit as exciting and thrilling as you can expect. Do yourself a favor and book a day with these guys when in Noosa!!!

Perfect day tour!

Amazing tour, couldn’t recommend it enough! The guides were all great; very knowledgable and friendly. Learnt a lot about the area and got to see lots of cool marine life!

Such a fantastic experience. We saw a baby humpback whale super close, as well as seeing dolphins and a sea turtle. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting info on the area, as well as clear instructions for the kayaking. This was such a wonderful experience that I’ll remember forever. I highly recommend this tour!

such a lovely tour! I had great time thanks to our funny group and our guides Matt and Tyron. I got the chance to learn basics when it comes to kayaking and of course the most important we were lucky to see a lot of whales and dolphins on a sunny day!

Whales and dolphin kayak trip!

Amazing tour with fantastic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. Kayaking with dolphins and whales so close was unreal. Only improvements would be better refreshments and I didn’t realise it was a choice of kayaking or surfing when I booked (although would 100% choose kayaking again). Would highly recommend, thanks guys!

Lovely tour

The 4WD to Double Island was lovely and we saw some whales breaching and dolphins riding some big waves along the drive. The tour guide was clearly passionate about the area and pointed out birds of prey flying about the route, as well as peppering the drive with interesting history and facts about the area and its environment. Along the drive (and on water!) we were acquainted with some other friendly travellers from over the world, which enhanced the experience. Our group divided into kayaking and surfing. My partner and I chose the kayak. It was a fun and pleasant experience. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales or dolphins while we were on the water, though we did see both on the drive to and from the site, so it seems we were just a bit unlucky on the water. Despite that, we had a lovely time and would recommend the experience.

We saw whales🥰

We saw whales! The drive was fun on the beach. Definitely part of the experience. We had good info from our guide and he helped us spot whales. We got used to looking for spray and then got lucky and saw one breach. The Kayaking in two person Kayaks was fun and simple to do for anyone. Tyron was chilled but totally in control. When a boat capsized he was right there and calm. The best part was seeing a mother and baby humpback whale surface right beside our kayak and go under the others. So beautiful. A great day out. Thanks Tyron.

Incredible encounter

We as a family had a huge day! Exciting from the start 48km sand beach 4WD to Kayak in the mist beautiful clear waters hearing the whales and having them come up close. Just incredible. Our Tour Guide Tyron was sensational!

Amazing day out like no other.

Wow...what an amazing trip yesterday...right from when we got picked up the guys were feeding you knowledge of the area with big smiles on their faces while driving across an amazing beach. Both guys new everything about the area with a great awareness of their natural environment. At the other end we came to one of the most amazing beach areas...eat your heart out Frazer Island. After short lesson on kayaking and sea safety, away we went in our kayaks to see a pod of dolphins...mummy humpback whale and baby and even a green turtle. We also saw soldier crabs by the thousands and sea eagles amongst other birds of prey. A fantastic day and thanks again guys. 5 star trip...highly recommended.

Absolutely unreal day out. We were lucky enough to see dolphins diving out of the water playing, a humpback whale and baby plus a turtle! This trip has been a definite highlight of our time in Noosa. The crew are so lovely and knowledgable and you can see they genuinely care about the wildlife and area.

What a fantastic trip we had with Epic Ocean Adventures Noosa. Aside from the great guides, fun beach drive and outstanding scenery, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, humpbacks and turtles. It was the perfect way to spend the day!

We loved this Epic adventure!

What an awesome experience! The guides were fantastic. We were lucky to see a pod of dolphins (including some juveniles), swim and jump right in front of us. We also had a mama humpback and her calf pass about 30 meters away and then to top it off we managed to see a big sea turtle come up and check us out. Definitely an Epic day in a gorgeous part of Queenland!

First time ocean kayaking and we had an amazing experience!! We had multiple close encounters with the humpback whales. Tyron, Vince and Mat were excellent guides. We felt safe and well looked after at all times. Highly recommended 👍
