Monaco & Monte-Carlo by night

Falsely advertised

An interesting experience - had no reconfirmation from the company, messaged on the day through Viator asking about specific pick up time and had to go to their website to find a WhatsApp number to message - received 10 minutes warning at 7pm. First thing the guide asked was if we had cancelled the tour the day prior, when we had booked over 2 months in advance. The trip was smooth to Monaco but no stop at the Moyenne Corniche which was advertised and instead of 2 hours free time in Monaco we had a 40 minute roughly guided walk through and then had to leave so we could exit the parking garage before it closed. Similar story in Monte Carlo; 1hr 15 minutes of free time as opposed to the advertised 3 which was fine but we were dropped off back at the hotel at 11pm instead of the 12:30pm shown on the booking - I think the guide was tired and was keen to get home. Not sure if it’s a communication error between companies but shouldn’t be showing what it is on Viator.

Too many stops en route

Even though we were picked up at 7.30 didn't get to Monaco till 10pm. Far too many stops en route. Was hungry in Monaco and all the restaurants were closed. Ended up in an expensive greasy spoon. The casino had a restaurant but we were too late !

Thumbs down for Viator - thumbs up for the Casino.

The Casino. The rest was underwhelming. The driver was late at both pick up times and my group did not feel safe. The driver was knowledgeable but hard to understand. Nice person but the communication on all accounts was not good. Enjoyed my Viator tours in the past but will need to find other options in the future. Really should get a full refund for this tour. Uber or taxi would of been cheaper and better.

Spectacular Trip

Everything was perfect………. but next time the driver “Alejandro” needs to be more patient with rude and obnoxious clients and other drivers. The trip was fun and entertaining and Monaco/Monte Carlo at night are spectacular

“Last night, we took a night tour from Nice - Night Tour Formula 1 Circuit, Monaco, and MonteCarlo. It was an incredible tour, and our guide Alessandro was super attentive throughout. He joined us in Monaco, walked the streets with us, explaining everything. We covered the entire Formula 1 circuit, with detailed explanations about car formations, pits, the finish line, distances, press locations, and more. Later, he took us to the MonteCarlo Casino, a beautiful place made even more enchanting during Christmas. In MonteCarlo, he continued to provide explanations as we drove, guiding us on where to go, detailing each location, and ensuring we knew how to return to our meeting point by 11 pm. We had plenty of free time, over an hour and a half. Throughout the journey, Alessandro was very attentive to me, my husband, and my children. He explained what we saw on each side of the road, named the surrounding places, and described where each path led. We saw the Casino de MonteCarlo, Hotel Paris, Le Palais Princier, the homes of the prince’s sisters, the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the Oceanographic Museum, the entire bay with its yachts, and much more. He took photos of us at every location and led us to spots to fully enjoy the scenery. We decided to return early as most cafes and restaurants were closed on December 25th, and we struggled to find a place for dinner. Curious to explore Nice’s city center, on our way back, Alessandro took a different route, allowing us to witness the beautiful Christmas lights illuminating the entire center of Nice. We strolled along the Promenade des Anglais, and he took us to a McDonald’s for takeout, patiently waiting for us before driving us back to the hotel. Alessandro is an extraordinary guide, knowledgeable and providing perfect guidance at every point. I highly recommend him. If you take this tour, he’s the best guide you can have. Even if you don’t speak English fluently, he understands Spanish and speaks about five languages. It was an incredible tour, the best one we have experienced so far. Alessandro’s passion for his work and his eagerness to share his knowledge about Nice, Monaco, and its surroundings were palpable. Thank you very much for everything, Alessandro. Value for money and hit the casino

Tengiz our driver was right on time . Pick up time 745pm and he was there at 725pm ready to go . This tour is more about the destination not a standard tourist version with full time guide . Tengiz pointed out all the main highlights and we walked around the top of the cliff to take photos etc. can not fault the experience

Matt our guide was a real gem very knowledgeable pleasant he made it all happen for . He was so flexible and took us to many places with ease I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him 10 stars for him

Nice tour

I liked everything, from the guide to the places we have seen. I only wished the tour lasted a little bit longer , but all in all it was ok

Monaco by Night

The driver showed up and was sitting in the van on the phone , when asked if he was the tour guide he said yes but not until 7:45 . He was rude and was putting us down saying that we would have enough money to eat in Monaco. He did not take us to the casino because we didn’t have our passports. No one told us we needed them . This person should not be representing Viator and should be fired . A terrible experience.

Avoid this trip

The driver( not guide) , Marcel,collected us 25 minutes late without an apology. He was rude and arrogant. He demanded we wore seat belts and treated us like children. He did not explain everything in Monaco would be shut at night until we parked up. Then Marcel was surprised when 8 women asked why on earth we had stopped there 'because you wanted to go with the programme 'was the answer. How are we supposed to know it was closed? He went onto Monte Carlo and told us if we were not back by 11pm he would go back without us- even though he was 25 mins late! Marcel filmed and recorded us WITHOUT PERMISSION during the trip. That is illegal.Marcel should not be let near any customers. The woman in French Rivieras office was also exceptionally rude as well. Avoid. I have requested a refund.

Great night

Our guide Parfait was wonderful. Very pleasant. Stopped along the way at particular photo points. We got a small walking tour around Monte Carlo. We were given time to explore (I got to go in to the Casino De Monte Carlo). I really enjoyed the tour.

If you don't have to, dont

If you have never seen a elderly European town, go to Monaco. If you have, don't. Can't say the trip gave any new memories in my travelling suitcase. If you hate trees, green city lungs. And love the feeling of people living like anchovies in a box. Go to Monte Carlo. They can but a bugatti in front of a casino and gold on the doors, but casino is casino. A sad place, only with diamonds

Bummed experience!!!

We were to be picked up at 7:30. Guide called at 7:29. On the way. At 9:00pm no guide at our hotel! After numerous attempts to call them, we went back to the room, called credit card company to cancel trip and get refund. During the process, found out guide had cancelled the trip. No communication with us though.

Breathtaking views at night

Monaco at night is breathtaking. Much less crowded - we were able to easily visit famous casino and have drink at bar. Must have passport to enter casino, there is 17 euro/person fee, but you get back 10 euro coupon for drink or slots. A lot of shops closed, but we came for the views, sites and casino. Tour guide, Marcel was outstanding and made visit easy.

Highly Recommended

Parfais was an excellent tour guide very knowledgable, accomodating and friendly. It was well organised. Its great to see Monte Carlo at night and get a view of the Casino with all the lights.I highly recommend this tour if you are planning to spend a few days in NICE. A good 4-5 hours trip to spend the night. As a piece of advice try to have an early dinner in advance as there are no options to eat/drink every thing will be shut down by then.

Monaco is a beautiful city

Monaco is a beautiful city where you feel safe. We thought there was only the casino to see. Wrong! We were pleasantly surprised to discover many other monuments and historical places.

It's obvious that Monaco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world but I didn't expect so much charm at night. What a visit!

Great trip to Monaco

Tour to Monaco was lovely and interesting, guide was very friendly and could tell a lot of interesting facts about the country. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that communication with clients before trips could be improved. Administration provided required information about the start of the tour only after I asked the same question for a second time. However, the trip itself was really worth time and money.

Monaco & Monte-Carlo by night was a scam - Don't waste your money

On the evening of Thursday 6th October, I was to be collected at 7.30pm at my hotel in Nice, France. I waited for over 30 min. but no-one arrived. I then looked at previous reviews regarding this tour and found that many others had suffered a similar poor experience . . . like myself they were never collected as arranged. As in other cases, I tried to phone the Tour organiser, but without success I therefore request a full refund. Viator should not associate with disreputable Tour Operators

Interesting experience

Driver was very nice, went above and beyond to accommodate due to heavy rain weather. And very big address pickup problem. Cons- I was very careful to enter my exact address where I was staying in Raquebrune Cap Martin, a different part of France near Nice, that wasn't listed. When I called about this, the phone rep reassured multiple times that this pickup address would be OK and the driver would be there on time. Turns out they put in the same apartment number for Nice instead of the town where I was staying, so I waited over 1.5 hours until the driver was able to make it to me in the heavy rain. Fortunately I did some of the tour parts by walking on my own to the Monaco cathedral and palace before booking for the Monte Carlo casino. When the driver arrived she was very gracious, apologized and allowed me to stay for several hours exploring and enjoying the casino and surrounding area. She even recommended the nearby Buddha Bar which I definitely recommend for a beautiful ambience, great drinks and music. She also extended her pickup for me until midnight to ensure I had enough time for everything, which is wonderful. I give this 4 stars because I missed part of the tour I paid for (but then we all did since the rain was out of control and unpredictable that time of night). While the beginning wait was frustrating, I thankfully was able to have a good time later and really enjoyed the Monaco/Monte Carlo area.

The night view is so...

The night view is so amazing , i was so happy that i went with the night sight seeing and i highly recommend to go and see it, you will not regret.The tour guide is so good too.

Average Tour

A tour guide was not very necessary for this activity. We were driven to Monaco and given 2 hour free time without the guide. For the amount paid, we could have travelled via train and done this activity ourselves and saved money. Tour guide was extremely insightful and polite.

Not a good experience

I was to be collected on Friday 7th Oct. 2022 at 7.30pm. The driver never came. I waited until 8.00pm then came back to my room at the Best Western Plus Hotel Brice garden and went to dinner. There was no text or message to indicate that there was a problem. I would not recommend this tour to anyone and when I contacted Trip Advisor and tried to obtain a refund, I was informed that this was not possible. . . .. don't waste your money . . . I lost 45 Euro to a scam !!!

A good overall highlights...

A good overall highlights of Monaco and Monte Carlo. Group of only 4 was great. Our driver was not a tour guide. He took us to places, but had almost no commentary. Not very knowledgeable of the places. Other Viator tours had guides who were extremely knowledgeable and informative. Disappointed that we did not have that on this tour.

Loved the mountain tops view’s and our tour guide was awesome with knowing the history of the city and taking us around

Don't book = unreliable

Although I'd paid, they'd sent a confirmation e-mail and vvouchers they did not pick us up at the 7.30pm time and place. I called and emailed = no response. Received a call later about 8.05 in the evening to sayimg they'd be late by which time we'd ordered dinner. Absolutely terrible service

Disappointed and left on own

We were picked up on time and there were a total of 6 of us. Our selves and two other groups. Everyone was friendly but that was all the good things I can add. The driver did not speak English and other other person - so called tour guide - spoke broken english and stated she was learning. They drove us places, dropped us off and and came back. No one was with us, nor did they explain where we should go we needed to figure it out ourselves. We all complained and she stated it wasn't a tour just drop off and pick up!! Once they dropped us off - all 6 of us are females of various ages - at night in a parking deck pointed to escalator and we had to figure out how to walk to see the outside of the villas and overlook to where ships were docked. It was very uncomfortable. Would never use this organization again and am very disappointed that Trip advisor recommended!!

Not worth your time and money

This was supposed to be a good experience. But the provider never contacted us about pickup time. We left text numerous times. We than called them... They told us they would be late. Arrive at 750pm. After waiting another 20 minutes I text again. I get this response.. Il arrive ne vous inquiétez Paß.. Which is essentially blowing me off that. After nearly an hour late we call again. The agent gives the phone to the boss and he has the odastity to berate my wife for being upset being very rude in the process. No apologies or anything. We went back to our room and this is why the poor review.

The worst tour ever

Don’t waste your money on this tour, the time is 7:30pm they don’t send any message or confirmation they will be late, we contact them many times but they always say the driver is on the way we’re waiting till 8:30 no driver show up, we contact them the lady and her boss talk to me very rude and unprofessional, we just canceled the trip, if the driver will be late inform us early of time, so we’re not waiting for 1 hour, rather than saying the driver on the way but took more than one hour to arrive, that’s ridiculous and your driver is the one who is late you should explain it politely and not being so rude and unprofessional.

I was not picked up

My Monaco-Monte Carlo Night tour was cancelled. I did not receive a call or notification. I contacted the tour guide and she told me it was cancelled and rescheduled me for Monday’s tour. I have been waiting for a hour and no response it notification. I can’t believe my vacation experience in Nice is ruin because I wanted to visit Monaco and Monte Carlo. Why hasn’t the tour guide responded?

Unforgettable Monaco

I was there the night before the F1 Grand Prix and it was a spectacular night, very fun and appreciating the luxury and beauty of Monaco.

Met expectations.

Book with a guide in Spanish and there was only a guide in English. Luckily I spoke something!!! The guide is good, very attentive. The night was rainy but we were able to complete the tour.

Avenidas nos túneis subterraneos

Alem de todo o glamour , das ferraris e porches que circulam, da arquitetura E história me surpreendeu à urbanização: dentro da montanha avenidas com forte tráfego, cruzamentos que se integram com a parte externa e os vários andares de estacionamento

Nizza, Monaco, Monte Carlo bei Nacht

Der Weg von Nizza nach Monaco war wunderschön, wir konnten die ganze Stadt Nizza von oben sehen. Der Fahrer hat uns während der Fahrt immer wieder Sachen gezeigt und erklärt. Monaco haben wir dann alle zusammen zu Fuss besichtigt. Mit dem Auto sind wir dann die Formel 1 Strecke gefahren. Danach hatten wir etwas Zeit für uns, leider nur weniger als eine Stunde, um Monte Carlo zu besichtigen. Der Ausflug dauerte nicht wie beschrieben 5.5 Stunden sondern nur etwa 4 Stunden. Wir wurden um 20:00 Uhr abgeholt und waren ca. um 23:40 wieder im Hotel.
