French Riviera in One Day from Nice shared tour

This is great way to see the beauty of the French Riviera in 1 day. Many stops and just enough time to get a good feel for each town. They are all different but beautiful in their own way. Great tour guide. Very informative. Thank you. Easy drive and very enjoyable day trip.

Choose a different tour, seriously

I would not suggest this tour. “Tour” is actually a strong word for the experience. First of all, it was barely 8 hours long, even though the website said it would be approximately 10 hours. Either our guide did not know anything about the places we visited or he did not care to share. Seriously, there was literally no information given about any of the places we visited. I did not expect that we would have to research these places ourselves, as our guide had absolutely no suggestions for things to see or do at each stop. The guide was also very rude whenever a question was asked, which was uncalled for even if he did not know the answer. We only had 20-40 minutes in each location except St. Paul (where we had an hour), even though the tour ended 2 whole hours early. We did not have time to eat or use the bathroom in most places. I would not recommend this to a friend, and if you’ve already booked, I’d cancel so you don’t waste a day of your trip. That being said, if your only goal is to take pictures, this may be the tour for you; there were many beautiful vantage points and we got great photos.

A tour worth taking.

All the places were worth seeing, and the driver/guide provided sufficient information about the destinations. This tour is suitable for those who are busy and want to visit all the places, but it might be wise to skip the visit to Cannes to spend more time at other locations - seeing the red carpet in Cannes was not the highlight of the trip for me, at least.

Excellent guide and experience

Mario was an excellent guide. Very personable, friendly and informative. The pick up and drop off at our Airbnb was very nice. The tour was a good way to see all of the main sights on the French Riviera.

Do this tour during your first day or two

This is a good first day tour to learn about the area. We covered a lot of ground in 10 hours but if you’re looking for a meaningful stop in some truly beautiful places this isn’t the tour. Some places we stopped for only 15 minutes which hardly made it worth it. Other places it was either lunch/bathroom break or explore which gave it kind of a rushed feeling. Despite this it was not terrible at all, I got to see a lot.

Nice trip to cover best places around Nice

In general all went well, however the pick up instructions arrived just in the morning of the day preceding the trip and they were rather general -meeting point Central Station in Nice- where exactly- just guess. I wrote an email asking more precise instructions or driver s contact details- no response. It was good that we were called by our driver Fabrice while we were on our way to the meeting point and it turned out that our pick up time was different - we were instructed to be picked up at 8:45 however he got instructions to pick us up at 8:20. It was good that we arrived ahead of schedule and all went well. Otherwise we have a nice trip ahead of crowds, we skipped Cannes due to the heavy traffic there, thank you Fabrice, but could enjoy more time in Antibes and in St. Paul de Vence. I would definitely recommend to have this trip to have an overview of the most beautiful places around Nice. However please improve coordination with your customers prior to a trip.

Great way to see the Riviera in a day.

If you've just got the one day in Nice, then this is a fantastic way to get a "lightning visit" of some of the French Riviera's signature destinations. Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Monte Carlo Casino, & a couple of super-quaint medieval French villages thrown in. Our driver, Basily, did his utmost best to keep us all moving in the French traffic (we went when the Cannes Film Festival was in full swing, & just 3 days before the Monaco Grand Prix, so the whole of the Riviera was super busy), & got us back on time, no problems. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour of the French Riviera in One Day

I lived exploring St. Paul de Vence, the Fromard factory tour, Eze and the Monaco palace. Our tour guide Jack, was excellent and very knowledgeable.

Too much for 1 day

The itenerary sounds amazing, but it tries to do too much! We ended up only having 10-30 mins at each of the 7 or so stop, felt rush, no time for a sit down lunch. In total we were in the van for 6 hrs total in aome stop and go traffic and only at the stops for about 3 hrs. Our group agreed 3 stops would have been enough and given more time to see each place.

The tour guide, Manuel, was great. Highly recommend. Would do it again. Saw Monaco, Eze, Monte Carlo, St Paul de Vence, perfume factory, race track, beautiful views. Learned lots.

Good overview tour but badly overcrowded vehicle

1) The description of the tour on Viator is inadequate. All of the stops should be listed. 2) The van was TOO SMALL for eight people - I had to sit in the middle of the front seat with inadequate room for three adults. It was very uncomfortable for a ten-hour tour. 3) The stops were all at interesting places to visit, if understandably short. 4) The Driver/Guide gave good info while driving, but left us on our own at each stop. It would be better if at some of the stops he/she would guide us through the town.

No bilingual guide

The guide did not speak but french Nit as promised The places visited were great but the lack of having a guide in English diminished the experience

Beautiful French Riveria

We had an enjoyable day in the French Riveria area. The Monaco and Monte Carlo views were stunning. Thanks to Jack for his timely schedule to complete the trip in a jam packed day

Must Do on the French Riviera

Great experience for first-time visitors to the French Riviera. We covered a lot of ground: from Cannes to Monte Carlo, seeing a wide variety of sights. Our guide and driver Jack was outstanding. Personable and knowledgeable, he was a great companion for the day. Full van of eight guests. My only suggestion would be to have Jack on a microphone. I doubt that guests in the back could hear much of his commentary while driving.

Great experience

Elizabeth was an incredible tour guide. She picked us up, was so kind and welcoming. It was a rainy day but she was able to brighten it up and show us the beauty these towns in the south of France had to offer. I would highly recommend.

It's a Full Day of Fly-By-Your-Pants Experience

There was a lot crammed into one day that gave you a taste of everything you've read about in the magazines. Monte Carlo, Monaco, Eze and medieval regional towns. Although it was a wonderful experience, I would've loved to have been able to have enough time in one place to have lunch. St Paul de Vence, in particular. If you want to see all of the sights, then this is the experience for you

Absolutely Awful Experience

Awful! Driver never showed up and Viator refused to refund me. I called and they said it was past the 24 hour return window but how was I supposed to know the driver wouldn’t show!?

Very nice tour

Nice tour of the Nice area ….. Positives….saw 4 areas..Eze, Monaco, St Paul de Venice and Cannes…comfortable van, traffic not too bad…beautiful spots that would be difficult to see all on your own….. Negatives….long tour of 10 hours….only spent a short time in each place..45-60 minutes!!!!…could have skipped the perfume tour in Eze, but not as terrible as I thought…wife liked it, men probably didn’t…..BUT, guide not as helpful and outgoing…..but did get picked up and dropped off right at the hotel….. If you are not renting a car and want to see these towns…do it!!

Fabulous tour

We had a fabulous time on this tour. Our tour guide was ‘Smiley’ and she really took care of us on this tour. She’s a local so she was knowledgeable and spoke of the cities, towns & villages we visited with pride. I highly recommend this tour. We visited many beautiful places and we learned a lot.

Great 1 day tour to see French Riviera

Our guide Nicole picked us up from Nice Hotel on time and was superb. We saw all the cities, perfume tour, great Monaco & Monte Carlo, Cannes, St Paul-de-Vance & Antibes. It was hectic due to 10 hours but Nicole was simply awesome!! If you do it on your own, it will take you 3 days !! We will do this tour again if we get a chance!! Regards, Rishi

Excellent tour of the French Riviera.

Excellent tour. Cycy our guide was brilliant. You see a lot on one day and don’t get to stay anywhere very long. But it’s a good way to see the area and visit places it would be harder to visit.

Good tour of French Riveria

It's a great tour to a glimpse of the French Riveria in a single day. Most of the places have plenty to offer and it would certainly need more time to get a full appreciation. The tour itself is great with a hotel pick-up and drop-off, nothing much in terms of a tour guide since only drop-off at the sites and from there on it's kind of self-guided tour. For some reason, all the tour companies seems to operate a same type of van and colour, and it is sometimes difficult to find the right vehicle unless you memorise the plate numbers. They just squeeze people into the van and uncertainly it is bit uncomfortable to site and travel for 9 hours.

Romain was our guide and he was hands down the best one! Not only did he show us the places around, his humour was the cherry on the cake! Would certainly recommend doing this tour as it covers a lot of places and a great way to spend the day in French Riviera!

Frightening experience with tour guide (Trigger Warning)

cannot say much about the company itself, but the tour guide (initials VM) was verbally abusive and shouting at me after I arrived 3 minutes late, and even when I repeatedly apologised. I was also singled out from other late-arriving passengers who arrived much later than me, as he had not chosen to confront them. It made me feel completely unsafe and something no traveller should be putting up with. When I challenged his unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour, he threatened to dump me out of the car in the middle of nowhere. I had to call the tour company to seek alternative back-up to pick me up and send me back into Nice. When I called TripAdvisor/Viator customer service the guide was even yelling down at my phone, therefore the entire conversation has been recorded and can be offered as evidence. I did not manage to visit the remaining 2 places/attractions on the itinerary because the alternative plan had a different route back to Nice, but never have I ever felt unsafe on a trip in Europe.

What a fricking phenomenal day! This tour was 10000% worth the value. I mean wow, where to start? Between Cannes, Antibe, St. Paul du Vence, Eze & the perfume factory tour, and then Monaco plus Monte Carlo - this was a beautiful day I'll never forget! I really appreciated the freedom to wander the streets at a few of the stops. Our tour day was pouring and yet the sights were beautiful nonetheless! Michael did a great job adjusting our schedule to the weather and getting us to the spots that he knew would be the best. He was a great guide and I appreciated his knowledge and care for our tour.
