Best tour for a snapshot of the French Riviera

This was an amazing tour, a great snapshot of the French Riviera from the little village of Eze to the glamour of Monaco and Monte Carlo. The tour guide was the best.

Good private tour of the areas west of Nice.

This was a very good - and personal tour of the areas west of Nice. Definitely an area to see. Wish I had more time. Our tour guide was very personal, engaging, and knowledeable.

Great places- bad tour company

The places visited were wonderful. The tour company guide/driver shouldn’t be working as a driver. We basically had no guide. Just a driver. The communication with a company for confirmation, etc, was terrible. The car for the tour came on time but the driver was sick and honestly put in danger every 8 Passengers for being exposed. His english was poor, even for few sentences he said about when/where to meet. I would skip going with this tour company if you have a choice of others.

Poor service all the way around!

The driver never showed up at our hotel where they said they’d pick us up. I tried to send 2 emails to their contact info- no response. We waited an hour…ruined our afternoon as then it was to late to get a train and see what we had planned on. And Viator refused to reimburse us- no explanation!! Never trying Viator again.

Amazing Visits and Tour Guide

Every stop on this trip was spectacular. The guide David was very knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Save your money don’t book this

This experience was a nightmare. I booked this tour maybe a month ago. A day before my tour I was contacted by email by the tour operator telling me the pick up time would have been 8:45am. My tour was at 2pm. I replied to them explain the possible mistake. I get no reply. Next day I arrive in Nice with still no answer. I contact Viator live chat for help and they also receive no reply. Finally at 2pm they get through the tour operator and I get told that the tour was not happening and that I could get a refund or do it the next day. Mistakenly I choose the next day. I’m told by Viator that they will contact me for the pick up time. Next day comes 1pm and still nothing. After another chat with Viator I finally get the contact information of the tour operator who tells me I will be picked up at 2:10pm. At 2:30 they hadn’t showed up still. The tour operator kept informing me that the driver was coming. At 2:40pm I got tired of this ridiculousness and I asked for a refund as this all process has been horrible. When I asked the tour operator for a refund (our conversations were through WhatsApp) they blocked me and I have no way of contacting them. I am absolutely appalled that they are still allowed to be on here and working. Save your money people. They wasted the little time I had in Nice.

Our guide Edy was very Aladeen!

Our driver Edy was the best tour guide! He was professional, curtious, entertaining, and extremely flexible! With a great sense of humor and laidback attitude, Edy made the drive between towns very enjoyable! We saw amazing sights and got to learn interesting stories/facts along with them! Thank you Edy for a great experience!

Horrible

Zero stars is what I would rate this tour. One of the worse I have taken. The driver was an hour late. Therefore, everything was rushed. This company's motto should be "we don't care after you pay". Good luck getting Viator to stand behind you on anything. What a disaster!

Cancelled excursion

Excursion was canceled on us and we had to make other plans. Other local trips were available booking through our hotel.

Monaco, Eze visit

A long wait to be picked up, then the driver couldn't find us and had parked across the street from hotel Monsigny, we had to negotiate the traffic and it was awkward getting into the minibus because of this. Really enjoyed the tour, especially the time spent in Eze and at the Fragonord perfume factory, the highlight of the trip! It was amazing to visit Monaco and to see the Royal Palace and the Cathedral. We felt that there could have been more time spent at the different locations. Collection of passengers could have been more organised and less chaotic, the last passengers to be collected were not picked up until an hour and 15 minutes after the tour started!

Good experience

Our tour guide was Clinton, he was extremely informative and very friendly. Told us some good history about each place and allowed us to see each area without being tight for time. Very good tour.

Wait- go- wait

The cord between Viator and the local operator was lacking booked on a Sunday for an 8:30 am English tour on Monday. . Viator approves local operator wants the English tour for 2pm on Monday. We say Tuesday at 8:30am. Local operator says 2:00pm Monday. We agree to 2:00 Monday. Local operator contacts us at 12:30 Monday to inform us 2;00 pm Tuesday. Lot of back and forth. Working with a phone in airplane mode. Able to contact Viator via what’s app but they have trouble reaching local operator. Tour was rushed due to heavy traffic and F-1 race tear down.

Monaco, EZE day trip

Marcos was an excellent host who had a good knowledge of the locations we visited. EZE is a wonderful little village, Monaco is amazing and the trip was timed well over the 5 hours. Thoroughly recommend this trip.

Magnificent views.

Wonderful car trip. The sights were magnificent. Friendly driver. Picked up from door & dropped back to our door.

Great First Time Experience on the French Riviera, EZE, and Monaco

Just a wonderful experience! Received door to door pick up and drop off service. Great way to end our cruise. Sites on the guided tour were breathtaking!

Great trip with an excellent tour guide.

Superb trip, my wife and I had a great day. Matt the tour guide was excellent, knew his stuff and made the day great fun. My wife thoroughly enjoyed Eze. Monte Carlo and Monaco were both beautiful to visit.

Maurice is a keeper!

Our tour guide Maurice was AMAZING. He was so attentive and willing to answer any questions we had. Made sure we were safe and getting the full experience. My sister and I loved the experience so much. A half day excursion was a perfect amount of time to get knowledge without it being overwhelming.

Aleksandar was fantastic!...

Aleksandar was fantastic! We would highly recommend the tour with him. He was informative and pleasant and a good driver! We especially loved the Fragonard tour and driving along the Formula 1 track just days before the race!

Cake and ate it too

Like many others, I think too much is tried to fit in to this trip. I don't know why I couldn't find a company that just did a longer trip and spent more time in each place!? I was disappointed when my group opted for more time in Monaco instead of visiting Eze, as I had been looking forward to this. But awesome Mario agreed to drop me back in Eze village on the way back to Nice and I got to visit there too with less rush. Was the perfect solution to fit everything into the day

Great half day tour

We were picked up outside our hotel right on time. Our guide Parfait was very knowledgeable and kept the group strictly on time when visiting the sights. This tour is a great taster, will probably go back and visit at my own pace. Would recommend this tour

Excellent

The tour guide was exceptional, very knowledgeable, we had a running commentary all through the tour, well worth the money, each place we visited was interesting. Would take the tour again

Need timely pick up

Parfait was great! Very kind, efficient and professional. Sadly, our 2pm pick up was 30 minutes late as we were not on his list??? Office glitch. Office said bad traffic??? More time on Eze instead of Fragonard factory.

A disappointing trip..

It was our guide’s first day on the job and he didn’t have the experience to deal with a race day in Monte Carlo. Disappointing that the tour company didn’t let us know that the sights would be inaccessible and give us a chance to cancel. More disappointing that they didn’t acknowledge my email request for a partial refund, let alone provide one. There was some comedy value during the period we sped round in the van trying to dodge police and collect remaining passengers, who were trying to catch up with us but I wouldn’t have wanted to be in their position. Not the guide’s fault.

Pretty Eze!

It was a very pleasant and quick trip but with time to see very interesting places. Roman, our guide was very nice.

Bad experience even though the tour was great.

The memorable experience was the organisation was bad. We booked half day tour and they sent the driver who does full day. It was not the drivers fault. It was the person who organised. And then because of their mistake we had to pay extra money . Only because the driver was so good we paid the money. That’s poor organisation we were penalised.

An enjoyable highlights tour

We enjoyed the changing of the guard at the Palace in Monte Carlo, the leisurely walk around the area and Monte Carlo. The mini bus was comfortable and the small group size means it’s more pleasurable. However, there was very limited commentary which was disappointing.

Easy way to see the surrounding area

Beautiful scenic overlooks. Monaco and Monte Carlo were interesting. Communication with local trip coordinator could have been better.

Enjoyable

Great day trip, our guide parfait was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Stops were short being a half day trip, a little more time at stops would have been nice, overall reccomend

Very nice!

Eze is beautiful and it was neat to drive along the track of the Grand Prix. Our driver was great! He stopped at interesting spots that we would never have seen and even though he was our driver he also explained interesting fun facts along the way.

Mr. Perfect

The guide/deriver was very knowledgeable, courteous and funny. We couldn’t go to Monte Carlo Casino.

Had a trip with Affran ( hope I am spelling it right) from our hotel. I had a good experience in terms of car comfort, knowledge of the driver etc. Pretty memorable experience. Thanks for the support.

Very nice 1/2 day experience

Great tour experience, got to see all the highlights of these areas and was very convenient. David was very good and took is to some great areas during the tour.

Scenic Drive outside of Nice

We were taken around eze Monaco and monte carlo. Highlights were the scenic views, been driven along the monte carlo racetrack, and casino. The only problem was the stops were quite rushed and you had to be back with the guide quite quickly l

Getting a quick view of each location and enough information about the highlights to decide if you want to return (another day) for more.

Bad experience

Driver was unsafe and it was his first day as tour guide. Right of the bat he hit a pole while leaving the parking lot

David Was the Best!

This was the perfect way to see the top French Rivera sights in 5 well organized hours. Our driver, David, made sure we had everything we needed as he dropped us off close to the sight, gave clear directions, some history, and the time to return - usually about 40 minutes. He always offered to take our photos at the most panoramic views. We were always given acess to convenient WC’s as needed. The van can hold 7-8 people, but we were only 5. I have only positive comments about David and this tour. Also the price was extremely reasonable for the service we received.

Highlight Tour

Great to pass time when you only have 5hrs to spare. Few breathtaking photo stops along the way in a clean car with a small group. Basic highlight tour of the gorgeous French Riviera, driver drops you off and picks you up after a set time at each location.

Beyond our expectations!

Excellent value for money - our guide & driver Matt was informative. Engaging and made the trip good fun - there were 8 of us in our party. The trip over ran slightly as Monaco & Monte Carlo traffic was very busy however he didn’t cut the trip short which was really good of him. Eze in particular was beautiful. Would definitely recommend to all age groups. All communication was excellent- Matt messaged the evening before to check address & time for our individual pickup. 😊

Amazing choice to see in an afternoon Èze, Mónaco and Monte-Carlo!

Our driver was Parfait and it really was absolutely perfect. He was very attentive, always trying to explain everything, very polite, and we had time so see things in our one. It was great for a hole afternoon, to quickly see Èze, Monaco and Monte-Carlo. Parfait was very professional and always waited for everyone, making sure we were satisfied with our experience. This is a great choice to see, in short time, those places. Alone we wouldn't get there, in 4 hours. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Efficient way to see the spots

The tour is a very convenient and time-efficient way to see the spots. The only downside was the perfume factory tour which may not interest everyone. I would rather spend more time at Eze. The communication before and during the tour was excellent. I enrolled in the tour a few hours before it started, and I received communication from our tour guide Matt and Viator very soon after my registration to confirm pick-up time and address, giving me peace of mind. Matt was passionate about his job and experienced in handling customers from different backgrounds, making everyone felt at ease. Matt even went above and beyond to buy us Socca and Pissaladière to try out at the tour! I’m glad I joined this tour.

David did an excellent...

David did an excellent job! We would highly recommend this tour and David! We were able to get some excellent photos of the coast, and Monaco and Monte Carlo were fun! We had plenty of time to visit each site we stopped at.

Fabulous Tour

Amazing and affordable small group tour to Eze, Monaco and Montecarlo. I have made my booking in Viator. The tour guide David was very helpful and illustrative. Highly recommend for those who are up for a short trip to Monaco.

Disappointed

Trip was canceled without explanation and we received the notification by email just an hour before the tour guide was supposed to pick us up at the hotel.
