The guide was funny and interesting. We explored parts of the town we might not have found on our own. Had a great time in the old pub.

excellent tour and lots of knowledge shown by the guide would definately recommended. You would not go to half the places used for filming without the guide.

Mike was superb and as he had worked on the TV programme over the years knew far more than your usual guide; he was clear, concise, funny and informative really enjoyed the tour, excellent value for money.

Awesome Doc Martin tour.

This Tour was excellent. Our guide was informative and knowledgeable, relating how Doc Matin was filmed in Port Isaac and pointing out all the buildings used, and how some scenes took place. This was so much better than just walking around Port Isaac on our own and trying to identify the buildings used.

Just perfect!

Fantastic tour of all of the memorable locations in "Portwenn" starting at Ms Tishell's pharmacy and providing many behind the scenes stories about the village, residents, tourists and most importantly the actors and producers. A terrific experience I'd recommend for Doc Martin fans around the world.

Highly recommend

Having been an avid fan of Doc Martin, this visit to Porto Isaac was a dream come true! The incredibly picturesque village was a treat. Our tour guide Mike was a wonderful raconteur with so many nuggets of information on the behind the scenes and cast of Doc Martin! He also gave us insights into the history of the fishing village. Suffice to say it's a fantastic day trip! I'm sure if you're a fan of the series you'll recognise the familiar locations in the pics I've shared!

Holiday Let's, and more holiday let's.

Honestly it may have just been our tour, but if its a tour about Doc Martin you're after I wouldn't recommend. It was definitely a tour about how the whole village is second homes, or holiday let's. Every street, side alley ect we went down, the guide made sure to slip in about how it's all holiday let's. We love Doc Martin, it's a shame to have a guide that didn't seem has interested in doing an actual tour. Sure you do go to the most 'seen' places, but it was very dryly explained. The tour lasted around 1 hour. Port Isaac was a nice little village, but you could 100% do the tour selfguided with probably more information available.

Amazing tour and well worth doing if you are a Doc Martin fan. Mike was an excellent guide and very knowledgable about Port Isaac as well as the show. Lots of behind the scenes info and anecdotes regarding actors, characters and filming locations. I could have listed to his stories all day. Thank you Mike. Here's hoping for a future Doc James!

Doc Martin, So, So Tour

I booked the tour in advance & paid £16, but noticed the price on the sign outside the meeting place as £12.50. I liked the descriptions of the houses & which actors used the specific houses. The tour guide was friendly but spoke in such a low voice that it was hard to hear what he was saying & turned his head frequently talking to other tour members that I couldn't hear what was being said. So in this regard, I think the tour was average.

Picturesque charm in Port Isaac, Cornwall

This walking tour was the highlight of my UK trip. We explored all the filming locations of the Doc Martin series, and our guide, John, educated us on the history of Port Isaac as well. A bonus was learning John is a retired member of the singing group Fisherman Friends. Learning that they would be singing the next night in The Golden Lion, prompted us to make a second trip back the following day for dinner and a sing a long. Good memories of Port Isaac!

Must do in Port Isaac

John was great. He knew the town as well as the series. He grew up on Port Isaac. He even had some production and historic photos to show.

Well worth the extra money, especially if someone is visiting from out of the country.

The photo of our tour guide Mike Meakins is with my friend who LOVES the Doc. Martin series. I gave her this for her birthday and it was well worth the cost! Mike was extremely interesting and because he had been an extra in the series he talk was most entertaining even to someone like me who had never seen the series. I will be looking for it and setting my PVR to record it now! Very well worth the cost of the tour.

Well worth the visit.

We had a great walk around with our very knowledgeable guide who showed us where many of scenes from the series were filmed. The village is beautiful and well worth seeing if you are a fan of the TV series. We walked in from the car park: easy in as it’s downhill all the way, a bit more taxing on the way back though. Thoroughly recommend.

Our first time in beautiful Port Isaac

Amazing tour. Small group. Inside view of the filming of Doc Martin, and behind the scenes stories. Lots of interesting stories about the village. You have to do this tour if you visit Port Isaac.

Fun Tour of Port Isaac

We had a fun tour with John as our guide. Saw the different filming sites and learned many production details, as well as some Port Isaac history. The best tip might have been to watch the Fisherman's Friends movie, which we did later that evening, a (mostly) true story (with certain liberties taken for the screen adaptation), which takes place in Port Isaac so you see many of the same local sites. Loved it all. Port Isaac is a special place.

This tour exceeded all my expectations with in depth candid discussions of Doc Martin and history of Port Issac.

We were overwhelmed by the tour guide’s presentation, personality, and in depth discussion of not only Doc Martin but other aspects of Port Isaac itself. It was 2 hours of total engrossing entertainment.

Must-do for Port Isaac

John was an absolute gem! We had high hopes for the tour and they were exceeded. John provided a combination of Doc Martin anecdotes and deep personal and institutional knowledge of the history of Port Isaac. He took us all over at a comfortable pace with ample stops for stories, photos, and chat. We could never have had such a rich experience on our own.

Mike was a fantastic tour guide!

What a gem to have Mike take our walking tour! He is simply lovely and many many stories to tell, Port Isaac has such an interesting history and to think of it wasn’t for Doc Martin we never would have experienced this wonderful town…I cannot recommend this walking tour enough!

A must see for all Doc Martin fans. Dave provided plenty of behind the scenes details about the filming locations for the series and you get to see all the familiar Port Isaac places of interest as you walk around the town.

Doc Martyn tour

The tour was ok but not as interesting as we thought it would be, and my tip is not to book the tour in advance online as it is cheeper to pay on the day.

Unexpected Gem

My mom is a huge Doc Martin fan, but I'd only seen one episode. We booked the tour ahead of our visit. I must say, this tour was fabulous and well worth the price! It included a lot of history about the town of Port Isaac as well as the film insights, so I learned a lot. I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was fun and informative. The walks were well spaced with breaks for learning about the town and show. Honestly, this was leaps and bounds more enjoyable than I expected, and I highly recommend it, even if you're not familiar with the show, as a great way to learn about and explore Port Isaac!

Beautiful Villiage, Lacklustre Tour

We enjoyed the villiage of Port Isaac and the incredible views. The tour was OK. We were taken to many filming locations for the show as advertised. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly but lacked enthusiasm and energy. At times he didn’t wait for the entire group to arrive at a location before speaking. If you book on site it’s quite a bit cheaper!

Great Experience

Despite the most awful weather for July (monsoon like) the tour was great. The guide (a former actor in the series) was so full of knowledge and had loads of really interesting background stories. As he lived in the village he was able to share further details & history. The tour took in all the main tv buildings/sites. Thoroughly recommend the tour.

Brilliant tour in lovely location

Absolutely brilliant. Port Isaac is beautiful. Lots of recognised landmarks and buildings from the show. The tour guide was an extra in most of the series and shared many Anecdotes from Filming. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Great fun!

Dave did a fantastic job showing us all the great spots in Port Isaac or Port Wenn. The walk included stories from the Doc Martin series as well as some inside information. Had a lovely time and appreciated his willingness to answer questions. We learned quickly that fitness helps-we either walked uphill or downhill!

Wonderful experience well worth booking this tour..it doesn't disappoint.

The entire tour was absolutely fantastic. We had a very knowledgeable guide. A really nice man who told us so much about the filming where the cast stay and how the sets are made.

I am not happy

I book this tour start of February for the 6th April we had a reminder about to weeks ago we both was looking forward to it and we travel 5 hours to it. Are time slot was at 1pm we only 3 minutes late and we get there and for the lady in the shop to say the man has gone home because no turn up and we wasn’t even in there book or on there computer. The said she will ring the the man all the man said he will give us a refund and give me a call today and I am still waiting for the phone call for my money back . There first Tour was at 11am it lasted 1 hour 30 minutes so the man should of been there still but no he wasn’t I took my time and day to book this and took days of work for it and travelled so far away when get there the man went home I am every disappointed

I might even watch Doc Martin now ;-)

Mum living her best life

I’ve never watched Doc Martin (sorry) but my 89 - almost 90 - year old mum LOVES it. For Christmas I bought her a trip to Port Isaac and a tour with Mike Meakins. She has absolutely loved it!!! Mike was wonderful… knowledgeable, kind and funny. Unfortunately it has rained incessantly but we still really enjoyed his company and the tour. P.s. I did watch both Fishermen’s friends films so I did love that part ;-) Highly recommend!

Great fun for a Doc Martin fan, and reasonably priced. Our tour guide was Dave, a Port Isaac resident who had bit parts in the TV show over various series, and was a fund of stories as he showed us around the locations in the village. I would recommend if you visit the beautiful Port Isaac.
