Haridwar is hot in days during April and bit colder during nights. You can get so many trains from Delhi, har ki pauri is very closed to haridwar railway station and you can easily reach by e-rickshaw by just 20 rs/person. If in case you won't get direct train and you plan suddenly. You can have connecting trains via delhi to laksar by ktw-anvt express departing from anand vihar terminal at 21:45 and reach laksar by 01:41 am next day. From laksar there are many trains to haridwar. Ganga aarti in night is awesome you can enjoy. Not many places to visit nearby, you can easily reach rishikesh by trains from haridwar or by auto. Ram jhula & janki setu are the famous spots to visit. Punjabi dhaba in front of railway station is having very nice food, jain chat corner is only hype don't go there.

Excellent, interesting culturally

We had an amazing tour of Haridwar and surrounding area. The evening festival on the Ganges was extra special. Our guide Ajax even found great place for us to sit and experience. The visit to the monks receiving alms was so interesting. I got great photographs. We even saw a wedding festival and got to observe. Great recommendations for lunch and various excursions. Excellent tour

Our guide was amazing. He communicated and planned our trip to Rishikesh and Haridwar very well. This is well worth the trip. Definitely a long trip for one day but the experience is well worth the journey.

Rishikesh & Haridwar

Great way to get out of Delhi for a day of driving to Rishikesh and Haridwar. Our driver Rahul was punctual, polite and spoke perfect English. He did a wonderful job getting us around safely and efficiently while telling us about the areas we were driving through. It is a long trip to Rishikesh! Once there, the sun was shining, air was clear and the Ganges and Ashrams are beautiful. Our guide in Rishikesh was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome at the temples, and wandering through the town. Then it was a drive back to Haridwar with Rahul to see the evening Aarti ceremony on the river. We got back to Delhi after 10pm so a long day in all. A very special experience!

They came to pick me up on time. Since you will be guided by car, this is probably more appropriate than other options. They will tell you about the facilities they visit and details about India, so you can get a good understanding of India. Also, if you have any questions, they will answer them thoroughly. Rishikesh and Haridwar

Rishikesh and Haridwar tour was wonderful thanks to Ajay. He was so knowledgeable, spoke English well, was very engaging and caring. He guided us through the crowds for the Aarti ceremony in Haridwar, found us seats, and explained it all very well. He’s the best! Always ask for Ajay!

rustic, real, and chaotic

Amazing tour. The drive from Delhi is very long but the vehicle we had was very comfortable which made it bearable. The driver stopped at a place for breakfast and dinner which had really good food. The rid up is very beautiful. Pictures cant really do justice and Haridwar and Rishikesh are very different. Rishikesh felt more clean and touristy well Haridwar more rustic, real, and chaotic. Our favorite by far was Haridwar which we thought would be the opposite. The shopping experience was nice. A little pricey but a good one stop shop to find some souvenirs

wonderful driver to be with. let me start with the first introduction. He greeted us with a warmly smile and we knew he was going to be a great driver. with amazing customer service he pays attention to the small details like preparing the car with two water bottles on each door and making sure the car is clean before each drive. he knows his roads and never missed a turn and makes sure we are comfortable in the vehicle. he is an experienced driver and a family orientated man. during each drive he always makes sure the family has a smile on our faces. he is a must when travelling to india

To witness history and tradition in these two beautiful towns was amazing. I appreciated my guide/driver, Ajay, who explained the temples, practice of dipping, and local features. He was also a very safe driver. I recommend this trip without hesitation.

Our tour of Rishikesh and Haridwar was most enjoyable. Our driver and guide Rana, was really friendly and he was very knowledgeable of all the sights. Rana was excellent at explaining all the history of the monuments and sights. He made us feel at ease and was very patient whilst we took our time looking at the sights and taking photographs. The trek to the yoga huts and the Beatles bungalow in the Chaurasi Kutiya was very interesting and most enjoyable. Private Day Tour of Rishikesh and Haridwar from Delhi

We had a wonderful tour of the Hardiwar nad Rishikesh. Our driver and guide for the tour was Rana who was very friendly and pointed areas of significance on the way. He was very open to conversation and this really helped in creating a very friendly ambiance. He was very patient with us as we did take our time in visiting the monuments. Rana is an excellent driver and guide. He gave us an excellent guide of Chaurasi Kutiya (the former ashram).

Haridwar and Rishikesh

Just back from two excellent days in the care of Ajay. We drove together to Rishikesh from Delhi - 6hours passed in a flash as he taught me about the country he loves so much. We made an unplanned stop to help make some sugar patties - huge fun. At last in rishikesh Ajay had a fabulous local guide ready to escort me across the Ganges to my Beatles Ashram destination. Later Ajay and I headed back to Hardiwar for the wonderful and moving aarti ceremony Today Ajay got us back to Dehli in just 4 hours and didn't touch his horn once (yes it does work!). We shared a superb lunch in South Dehli before saying our farewells Ajay was great fun, an excellent and safe driver and a fascinating tutor. Thanks Ajay

Fantastic experience - best during our time in India

Great Company!!

We were extremely impressed with all aspects of the company and our guide Rana. From our initial communication to the tour itself they were top notch. Rana was extremely knowledgeable, an excellent driver and spoke good English with a very understandable accent (something that is not always the case in India). Although the day was long, Rana paced it well and we thoroughly enjoyed our time touring. We highly recommend Mam Holidays and Rana.

Rishikesh and Haridwar Day Tour from Delhi

This is a five and a half hour drive each way, so If you only have a limited amount of time and really want to visit Rishikesh and Haridwar this is a great tour. But next time I would definitely like to stay overnight or longer in Haridwar or Rishikesh, to be able to see the evening Aarti ceremony which takes place only after the sun has set. The driver Ajay was great, friendly and helpful, and his English was excellent which is not the case with all drivers I have encountered on my travels in India. Many thanks!

Perfect tour to remote places

Great trip for the price, considering its quite a long drive and a long day, as I was saying in Delhi. But well worth the trip to get out of town and see some culture and scenery. This trip was in April 2019. We went to the hippy yoga place, saw awesome works of art, then drove back and went to the Gangees to see prayer time. Avoid drinking the tea or eating any food though, as I got a bit of a dodgey belly the next day. The driver ( sorry i've forgotten his name!!) worked very very hard to ensure we reached everywhere in a timely manner, took loads of photographs, and was very very good to ensure i felt safe as a female solo traveller. Interesting Experience!

This was a very interesting experience! The car was conformable and clean, Rana was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Although the trip was very long but Rana made it enjoyable by explaining many things about the places we passed by and also about the Indian culture. We stoped for breakfast and lunch, both places offered very good food and were clean. I visited first Rishikesh where I saw the yoga Ashrams. The Beatle Ashram was interesting to see but I think the guide spent a long unnecessary time in it. His English was not very good so I could not understand everything. Then Haridwar was very interesting, you see real India there, the prayers at the Ganges were very special and take you to another world. Really amazing! Keep in mind that this tour is over priced, also because you have to pay your food and drinks which are not very cheap in the places we went, 600RP for the Beatle Ashram which is clearly too much, 300RP for the Priest in Haridwar, and then you are required to give tips at least to the guide of Rishikesh. But here you are not paying the service but the experience. It is a price you have to pay to see real India, with caws, camels, monkeys on the road, crazy driving style, contrasts that show you that people living in very poor tents can afford smart phones and solar panels. It is just crazy! So that's why I think it is worth it!

Long but special

What an amazing experience this trip has to offer. The long journey was made very pleasurable by the very competent driver Rana, his road skills were outstanding on these Indian roads!! On our arrival into Rishikesh my guide was introduced who was very pleasant and answered all questions. From here we headed to Haridwar to see the wonderful Ganges, Rana was my guide who was spectacular in giving me such a wonderful experience. After a very long day we arrived safely back to hotel. Would recommend this trip to solo or accompanied travellers

Must Visit to See Ganga

Nothing can't be better placed to see Ganga :) Haridwar is the holy city & favorite of many peoples to take a Bath into Ganga River.

Great One Day Trip

My guide (Rajpal Rana) picked me up sharp at 6 am, we communicated the day before via Whatsapp. I fell asleep in the car and at about 8:30 am we stopped at a nice restaurant for breakfast. Around 11:00 am we reached Rishikesh. Rana showed me the main temples and the ashrams on the banks of the Ganges. We walked across Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula. Rana showed me a nice crystal shop that was run by the local ashram. We then went to Haridwar, and saw the banks of the Ganges, and walked through the area. The ganga arti in Hardiwar begins around 7 pm. I had to cut the tour a bit short, as I had to be back in Delhi by early evening, so we didn't stay for the evening Aarti. I reached my hotel by about 8:30 pm. But Rana was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a way to see both Haridwar and Rishikesh in the same day.

<p>This man, Rana, went above and beyond to make sure we got to Haridaw. The day of the tour people were protesting by blocking the road. He tried every way imaginable to figure out a way to get us there. We may have arrived 3 hours later than expected but we arrived IN ONE PIECE : <br/> We didn't get to do everything because we would have missed the main point of the trip. We so enjoyed seeing the prayer ceremony and all the sites at the Ganges river. I would recommend this trip to everyone. It was AMAZING. To me THIS was India!!!</p>

<p>This is an excellent tour. Our driver/guide was Raj Pal and found him to be fantastic! On time for our pick up and his driving was flawless which is not easy if you are familiar with India. He was a wealth of information on the area and what we were seeing and doing and we felt at all times safe and comfortable. The road itself from Delhi to Rishikesh/Hardiwar is not the best but it is definitely worth the trip. My only recommendation is to make sure to take a handful of small bills for Temple entrance fees, washroom fees, etc. And be prepared for a long day. There is some walking required - but it is not difficult. Again - a very good day trip.</p>

Great experience with knowledgeable and and über friendly driver Rana, he was great company for such a long journey. India never stops surprising as every state has different landscape, different people and different attractions. Haridwar is a most regardless of your religion. The spiritual ritual Ganga aarti will leave you with special memories.

Rana Provides Calm for What Would Otherwise Be an Arduous Journey

We toured India by car about half a dozen times over two weeks. Some highways have lanes. Some do not. Most drivers honk incessantly. When you experience India's highways, if you haven't yet, be prepared for culture shock. Rana drove us for over five hours from Delhi to the mouth of the Ganges and back, in one day. Amazingly, he provided us with a pleasing passenger experience. He used the horn much less frequently than our other drivers, yet managed to get us to our destination on time. Along the way, we talked about a broad variety of topics. Rana is an engaging teacher and listener. We would recommend Rana not only for driving, but for a tour. We will especially cherish our experience in Haridwar. Rana connected us with a living yet ancient culture there. His conversation and what we encountered in Haridwar was well worth the time we allocated for the day.

<p>This was an amazing tour to experience the Hindu religion first hand. It is an extremely long day, but does provide opportunities to stop for meals. The tour guide was very informative and entertaining. He loved sharing information about his culture, country and religion with the group. I wish there was time to take a yoga class as you are in the heart of peaceful yoga and mindfulness training. Very happy I choose this tour to see the Ganges and witness the daily prayer rituals.</p>

<p>Although this turned out to be an mostly-enjoyable day, our day trip to Haridwar and Rishikesk was an incredible letdown. We expected a local, English-speaking guide to take us from Delhi up to the foothills of the Himalayas, stopping along the way to show us interesting sights and tell us stories. What we got was a guide that did not speak English, a straight drive from Delhi to Rishikesh with only one stop which was for breakfast, and a van that broke down the entire drive back to Delhi. Additionally, we were expected to pay for a walking tour in Rishikesh, although all fees were advertised as included as part of our package. Were there any positives? Yes. We were able to go in the Ganges in Rishikesh, we saw the aarti in Haridwar, and the locals were wonderfully friendly in both places. Would I recommend this tour to others? No.</p>

Viel Lärm für zuviel Geld

Die Zeremonie in Haridwar war absolut sehenswert, ansonsten eher langweilig, außer man mag die Abgeschiedenheit, aber dafür muss man nicht das Geld bezahlen, dass man für diese Tour bezahlen muss. Wenn man kein Fan von Yoga ist, gibt es aus meiner Sicht keinen Grund nach Rishikesh zu reisen.
