Private 6-Day Ranthambhore Tiger Tour including Delhi, Agra and Jaipur

A wonderful Golden Triangle experience

Strongly recommend anyone wishing to experience the Golden Triangle in India to go on this trip if you have the time. Below is my comprehensive review of the experience we had as a family of 4. Booking and communication: Within a day of making the booking, we received a WhatsApp message from Shakul who promptly answered any queries we had, and also ensured customisations were planned where possible. For example, we requested conjoining rooms and advised that we were celebrating our anniversary. This was shared with the relevant hotels and they ensured our needs were met and our anniversary was recognised. We received an anniversary cake at every hotel we stayed at which was nice. Driver and vehicle Our driver was Hari Babu and I cannot complement him enough. He was always prompt (even when we weren’t), and patiently looked after our needs. During the drives, he would talk to us about some of the villages / cities we passed through and gave us further authentic insights which we found interesting. The vehicle was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space for our suitcases and hand luggage. Delhi Dilip Singh hosted our site seeing through Delhi. He was very knowledgeable on all the sites and provided us with interesting historical perspectives whilst also giving us enough time for photos. Agra Vijay Chauhan hosted our time in Agra. Most of this trip revolved around the iconic Taj Mahal, and the Mughal dynasty. Vijay’s detailed knowledge of the history was incredible and was confidently able to answer our questions. Vijay proved really helpful in us securing some great shots whilst at the Taj Mahal. It gets very busy and trying to navigate the crowds and the adhoc queuing etiquette would have been impossible without Vijay. He kindly took some of our key shots. With the heat and the tiredness of the children, Vijay kindly flexed the plans to suit. The Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Agra was excellent too. Ranthanbore The 6 hour drive from Agra to Ranthambore was split with 2 appropriately located sites. The first stop was the Keoladeo National Park bird sanctuary which was good fun. The kids really enjoyed the telescope to help see some of the wildlife. Our guide Ramesh was very knowledgeable. Our second stop was Chand Baori Step Well. An amazing construction from the 9th century and our guide Himat was enthusiastic and engaging. The day of travel ended in Ranthambore and the next day we had our 2 safari outings. We opted for the canter vehicle in the core zones, but sadly we didn’t get to see a tiger. They were elusive during both our outings. There were 2 outings, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Our afternoon outing proved challenging as there was a large group of noisy and boisterous men who made the experience frustrating. The guide struggled to exercise control of them. If I was to do the trip again, I would recommend going for a jeep, provided it can go into the core zone. The Tigress Hotel felt a little tired and in need of a freshening up. Housekeeping standards were the lowest in this hotel. We only learnt afterwards that housekeeping is only done on request. When we did eventually ask, it took a long time to get it done. The staff for sure at the hotel are very helpful. I would suggest that this hotel does not meet my expectations of 5-star, but not a bad hotel overall. Jaipur Vijay Singh Rajawat hosted our visit to Jaipur. Of all the guides, he was most engaging with the children, helped by his sense of humour. He was also a master with helping us get photographs. He would grab the camera, command people out of the way, and get our shot. The visit centres more on the royal family of Jaipur and the state of Rajasthan. We had a little set back when my son felt ill, but Vijay accommodated and flexed the plans accordingly. By far the most interesting part of the trip was Jantar Mantar. All of us, including the kids found the site and the instruments truly fascinating. I would say the least enjoyable part of the trip was the Monkey Temple - as a site it is particularly filthy and in need of some care. The hotel in Jaipur was the Hilton and we found that was excellent. Overall The concept of this trip is great and features a good experience of India’s golden triangle. We were amazed by the sites and learnt an incredible amount of history which we all appreciated. The driver was amazing, and the guides were excellent. Thank you Shakul and team for giving us a wonderful experience of India and the Golden Triangle. Top Tips for anyone taking this trip: 1. Carry more small notes for tips. 2. It gets hot and many of the sites don’t offer much shade. Lots of water and sun cream 3. We carried toilet roll, wipes and hand wash everywhere as some of the public toilets don’t have the best standards of hygiene. 4. There is a lot to fit in, and with kids it is advisable to manage the schedule accordingly. Long spells in the sun, late nights and early mornings are not great formulas for keeping kids engaged throughout. 5. Allergy management - if applicable, communicating allergens can be a challenge. My son has allergies to nuts and sesame, and communicating this to some restaurants was difficult. The controls are not always there and my son did have a reaction.

Wonderful Golden Triangle Trip

It was a wonderful trip for the first time visit to India. Our tour guides in New Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore and Jaipur were very knowledgeable about the cultural and religious history of every sightseeing places that we visited. They also always helped us to take lots of nice photos professionally. Particularily need to give a special thanks to our driver Prem. He was an excellent driver and very kind. He introduced information of the places we passed through during the trip. We felt comfortable and safe throughout his professional services. It was really an amazing experience. Thank you.

Great private tour 👍

This is a wonderful guided tour and especially amazing for a first time visitor of India like myself. The trip was well structured with focused attractions in cities of Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. There had been different local guides in each city to give their local knowledge and experience. The pace is faster than I expected but sufficient to understand the brief history of attractions and take photos. An unexpected gem in this tour is the Bharatpur birds park and the photo hunting of birds had so much fun. My driver Prem is well conversant in English and is very professional and I commend and express my utmost appreciation for the exceptional driving skills displayed, as well as his true humor during the journey. The car is a brand Suzuki which is a new hybrid sedan, air conditioning is very efficient and I felt so comfortable during the whole trip, even outside temperature is over 40 degrees Celsius. Overall, I am genuinely impressed by this 6-day trip. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone for a comfortable trip in north India, and hope Prem will be with me in next trip.

Amazing experience

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Communication was brilliant from the outset and everything was brilliantly organised. We were a party of 5 and had a very comfortable air conditioned van. Our driver, Nachatar, was brilliant and looked after us well. We stayed in lovely hotels and the local guides everywhere were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Brilliant value for money and an amazing experience.

You will learn and experience so much

We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Vipin, our driver for the duration of the trip, shared his knowledge and catered to our needs and wants. He is world class in professionalism and courtesy. The tour guides were fantastic too, providing a lot of context and history to all the architecture visited. Special shout outs to Gushal, Rocky and Aman 🙏🏻 Seeing the tigers was a personal dream come true for me. If you have limited time or want to ease into India then this is a fantastic option. And the food is DELICIOUS - the more local the better. If your palate is open to this.

An Incredible Tailored Made Trip in India for Our Family

We had an awesome experience. First, we were able to coordinate with Mr Shakul Garg every single detail about how we wanted our trip. He organized everything perfectly according to our budget and preferences. In India we were guided by Mr Farraz throughout our trip. He was a gente person, extremely kind, organized with an incredible knowledge of India. He made every moment pleasant to us. And finally Mr Gurmeet Singh drove us in a private car every day. He was also very kind and always taking care of us. This is one of those reviews where I don't have anything negative to say. They made our trip to India very unique. And we loved every moment.

Excellent service

We will forever be grateful for the person who recommended Pacific Tours. They gave us VVIP treatment for the 6 day tour. We visited Agra, Ranthambhore (Luckily we saw a tiger), Jaipur and Delhi. Vipin, our driver throughout was kind, courteous, punctual and kept us well informed of the sights and places we passed through. We absolutely enjoyed his company and he made the trip comfortable & fun. The guides were amazing. Raj at Agra is a walking encyclopedia, I learnt so much. He was patient with us, answered all questions and is an excellent photographer. He introduced us to various artisans and that was well worth it. Himmat is fun, bubbly and made us laugh throughout the Abhaneri tour. Make sure he shows you the Batman video Jaipur was our favourite City, we really liked the vibe and energy. Ashok, our guide there, is a fountain of knowledge and if you ask him nicely, he will refer you to the tailor of his beautiful shirts. There's so much to see in Delhi and Dillip wisely curated our tour. He was an excellent guide and we enjoyed the time spent with him. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The perfect tour

Everything was perfect, first of all our driver Prem, super excellent driver extremely nice and always ready to help talk and joke, then all the guides who were very knowledgeable and clear, and the whole organisation who turned out to be perfect. A special thanks to Himnat, our young guide at Chand Baori stepwell : speaks many languages, knows things very well and communicates his enthousiasm.

Wonderful experience.

We both had an excellent experience of travelling the golden triangle and would highly recommend this company. From beginning to end we could not fault the trip. The guides were all excellent and very knowledgeable in their work. At every location that we stopped at our guide would organise tickets and advise us on expectations of scarves on or shoes off etc. They would stay with us and guide us round answering any questions we may have. We ate in some wonderful restaurants and were given plenty of time to rest and enjoy our meals. Finally the icing on the cake was to have Davendra as our driver such a kind and caring man who was always looking out for us. Providing water and snacks and rest breaks when needed. Davendra also had very good knowledge of our route and pointed out many places on the way. We felt extremely safe at all times and wish Davendra well. Such a wonderful trip we would love to do all over again.

Great adventure

Everything was great. They explained so well and all of them took such a great care of us. They took us such an amazing photos in the correct spot. We are so happy with it. A special thank you to our driver Kuldeep who did an amazing job, he was always on time with a great smile and always willing to assist us. His company during these days made it better and we felt safe while he was driving us during our destinations. Thank you.

Amazing experience and a very lucky visit to Ranthambore

Everything was great, we were very lucky and we saw a tiger and 3 cubs very close. All our guides were excellent, especially Rajni who took amazing photos as well. Big shout out to our driver Kuldeep who was the one driving us around all the destinations

Great trip!

Everything about this tour was wonderful! We started in Delhi then Agra with Mahesh who was very knowledgeable about both cities and everything in them. In Jaipur, Ashok showed us everything about the beautiful Pink City. The real star of our trip, however, was our driver Vipin. Vipin was our driver for six days and was amazing! We loved his humor and company as he took us throughout the Golden Triangle. We’d recommend this tour to anyone. Shakul was super responsive and made planning the trip an absolute pleasure as well.

Perfect tour for our family!

This was the perfect tour for us! Our family of four enjoyed sightseeing in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and Ranthambhore. The company handled everything for us before we arrived - from accommodations, transportation, and activities. We had an amazing driver who was with us the entirety of our trip, and in each city, we had English speaking tour guides who were knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. We said more than once that these guides and our driver took what could have been an overwhelming trip navigating the roads and the crowds and made it into an amazing experience where we only had to show up and let them handle all of the details. Communication with the company before we even got to India was super helpful and made planning a breeze. We would totally recommend this tour to others!

Exceptional golden triangle tour

We started our tour in Delhi when our driver, Gurmeet, and our guide, Mahesh, picked us up. They were friendly and on time, which was very important to us. We continued through to Agra and had a seamless guided visit through all the major sights in Agra, including the Taj. We continued through to Jaipur and stopped at a bird sanctuary in Bharatpur, which had an excellent accompanying guided tour by a naturalist. We had a different guide, Ashok, who did a wonderful job through the major sights in Jaipur. We were subsequently driven to our hotel in Ranthambore so we could visit the tiger preserve. While we did not see any tigers, the preserve offered views of different birds, langurs, crocodile, and wild boar. The restaurants chosen for our lunches were good to excellent in quality of food, waitstaff and bathroom cleanliness. Only one chosen restaurant was of low food quality (it was a roadside restaurant between Agra and Jaipur). The hotels were five star and all good quality for board. Two downsides of the hotels-1) we arrived in agra new year's eve and were obligated to partake in a New Year's Eve celebration at $100 pp. The food in all their restaurants was subpar and this included the overpriced New Year's Eve celebration. 2) the Novotel hotel in Jaipur, while brand new with good waitstaff, was too far away from center city. One of the issues we had was the mixing of this sightseeing tour with visiting local craftsmen in which you felt pressured to buy at points. Linking the sightseeing tour with shopping is uncomfortable. That being said, we would highly recommend our gudes, Mahesh and Ashok, and our driver, Gurmeet.

Great experience in India.

If you are going to India for the first time or for your hundredth time use this tour operator! In scoping out who I wanted to hire for our tour, I found PCTI responsive, attentive to detail, and flexible with regard to itinerary modifications and hotel selection. The back office operation is top notch and I was in direct communication with the PCTI owner who took a personal interest to ensure I had a tour planned that meet my requirements. And when it came to the tour guide and driver, they were similarly top notch. Mahesh (guide) and DK (driver) were delightful to spend time with during our journey. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of each location and also understood the spiritual significance and religious history of the places we visited. Bottom line: I couldn’t have had a better experience in India and would recommend without reservations this tour operator and its personnel.

Absolutely perfect! Highly recommend for first-time visitors!

A perfect trip from beginning to end. Our driver, Vishan, was excellent behind the wheel in the often-dicey driving that is Indian traffic. He was calm and in control in the craziest of situations, and we felt extremely safe in his care--all while feeling glad we were not doing the driving ourselves! Seriously, the driving is nuts! Vishan was always on time, extremely polite, and ready to help in any way. The itinerary for each day was well-planned and executed. We received prompt and timely information from Shakul (via What's App), who coordinated the entire trip. In each new location, there was a local guide to meet us and lead us through the sites, navigating the entrances/tickets and informing us of interesting facts and stories. For a first-time visit to India, this was perfect! It was all done for us. We loved the range of activities and attractions on this 6-day trip. There is a good deal of driving involved in between the 4 major cities (Delhi to Agra, on to Ranthambhore, then on to Jaipur and back to Delhi), so it was nice to have a good book for the longer stretches where there is little to see except the amusing habit of the cows who liked hanging out in the middle of the road. For hotels, we opted for the 5-star option and we were very pleased with the quality of service and comfort in each hotel, as well as the food. Breakfast was included each day. but dinner was often not included. I wondered how that would play out, but it turned out that each of the hotels had a reasonably-priced buffet dinner option which allowed us to try a broad range of new dishes. The food was great! Of all the stops on this tour (and they are all awesome!), I think our personal favorite was Agra and the Taj Mahal. Vijay, our guide in Agra deserves a particular shout out for going above and beyond. He was super friendly and fun, willing to joke around with us, take a lot of silly pictures, and help us find a specific souvenir we were looking for at the end of the day, even though we started before dawn and he must have been tired and ready to go home. I was impressed with his patience and good humor. He was flexible, gracious, and had the magical ability to convey how much he enjoyed being a guide. All of our guides in each city were helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, and very good at their jobs. But he was the most fun! Overall, we absolutely loved this trip. It was a perfect first visit to India and made me want to return!

Great discovering, super driver and guides

We've enjoyed very much our super driver and the guides during those 6 days and more especially Ashok in Jaipur. The car was very comfortable too. We've also appreciate our travel correspondant Ashok who alway responded very quickly when we needed. We would have enjoyed better quality 5 stars hotels, may be a deluxe category should be proposed ? We enjoyed the tiger safari even though we didn't see any tiger nor the other guests of the hotel but the wildfire and landscape were absolutely worth seeing.

Amazing experience for family with kids

Amazing tour of the golden triangle. We have traveled with 2 kids (6 and 9 years old). And we have enjoyed every bit of it. Shakul was very helpful and promptly replied to any question/request we had. The car and all the hotels were luxurious. Our trip was planned in February and at that time was ongoing G20 Summit and Taj Mahal was unexpectedly closed for weekend. The tour was flexibly replanned, and we had it in opposite order. And everything was perfectly arranged and organized. Our driver Ari as well as all the guides were professional and very friendly. We have even asked to have arranged Elephantastic in Jaipur just 1 day ahead and Shakul has managed everything - big thanks for that, the kids loved that. I have to say that it was worth every penny of it. I would 100% recommend this company. Thank you so much for a amazing Indian experience.

Amazing Indian Golden Triangle tour

We strongly recommend this tour company. Shakul the business owner was very efficient, well organised & responds very quickly to any queries. He was highly flexible & co-operative in changing dates, room types & tour numbers. The tour was extremely good value & very competitively priced. Payment options were easy. The hotels on the tour were 5 star & very comfortable & well placed. The tour car was very modern, roomy, very clean & well maintained. Tissues, sanitisers, water & snacks are provided. The driver was very careful. The tour guides were very informative, showed us the best places to take photos & also took photos of our group for us. They kept us safe & we could go at our pace on the tour. Jaipur was our favourite place & the visit to Elephantastic was one of the highlights of our trip. We had our own elephant to feed, pat, scratch, was & even paint if we wanted to. We took her for a walk with the handler. They then fed us one of the best meals we had in India. We went in peak tourist season (November to March) & surprisingly every monument we visited was not busy & not too many people. We had an excellent tour & would 100% use & recommend this company again. Thank you so much for a wonderful Indian experience.

An easily accessible adventure summarising the best of India's tourism opportunities.

Great tour with an all included transport and accommodation system. Friendly driver and tour guide staff eager to accommodate us and happy to adjust the tour path at our request. Thanks to our driver Gurmeet Singh in particular who was with us for the entire tour.

Golden Triangle with Family of Five

What a wonderful experience! From start to finish we were taken care of by our guide Mahesh and driver Shiv. Great travel van with more than enough space for our family of five with kids 10, 7, and 5...looks like it can comfortably accommodate twice our booking size. We had amazing stops at the big names...Qutab Minar, Taj Majal, Amber Fort...but also fantastic experiences at numerous temples and palaces. Mahesh gave us great insight into what we were seeing and what it meant/means to the people of old and today. Both Mahesh and Shiv were great with the kids...always smiling and keeping it interesting for the children and doing their best to guide us through the hustle and bustle that is India. Bottled water was always available on board and great options abounded for shopping and dining. Even the drives (which can be 4-5 hours between cities) were fascinating to watch as the locals sell their wares and vehicles, cows, monkeys, camels and elephants go by. The booking process was also straight forward and customizable - we went with deluxe accommodations and were not disappointed. Overall 10/10 and would recommend to any of my friends and family!

Taj and Tigers

An excellent trip filled with wonderful sights and amazing adventures. The tiger reserve at Ranthambhore and the Taj Mahal were particular highlights. The only issue was the bus. The suspension was poor and the very long bus journeys were uncomfortable. The bus was very cold and the windows would not stay closed. We had to keep getting up and closing them. The handle on one window was broken off leaving a hole to outside. This made the travel quite unpleasant. However, it did not spoil the trip and overall it was an amazing experience.

Fantastic tour filled with amazing experiences

This tour was brilliant! We saw different cities and towns in India and enjoyed visiting many tourist attractions. Highlights for me were Ranthambore where we stayed in the most beautiful hotel and managed to see a tiger on the safari trip!! Of course, the Taj Mahal in Agra is up there with my favourite moments as well as the elephant ride up to the palace in the pink city of Jaipur. There are too many amazing things to mention but I can’t recommend this trip enough. The company was so efficient and our guide Mahesh Kumar was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. If I had any complaint at all, it would be the standard of our vehicle which was very cold on our long night journey from Chennai to Ranthambore. However, this is not a deal breaker and I’m so glad we got such a wide ranging experience of Indian culture. We didn’t want it to end.

Very enjoyable, recommend to all

Vishan was a good driver and helpful to us throughout. The choice of restaurant in Delhi was excellent and good also in Jaipur. The tour was well organised with nice hotels. We had a lovely time.

We were two women travelling alone and had a great, seamless, comfortable, safe and super fun experience with PCTI through our tour in India. I would really reccomend to anyone, they will help you navigate through the country and the culture. Our driver Shamra was super attentive with us and the guides also did a great job.
