Great Street Food tour with Kavika!

Kavika took us on a wonderful food tour through Old Delhi by foot, metro and tuktuk. We sampled many items, both sweet and savory. All were tasty and went down well - no Delhi Belly from this tour! Throughout the tour Kavika entertained us with stories and explanations. We must have asked her a hundred questions and she answered every one! We would highly recommend this tour.

What a great tour. Sam was an incredible guide and very nice human being. Highly recommend this tour to have an amazing perspective of this part of Dehli and the amazing options of food that it has to offer.

What an experience

The whole tour was overall good. I liked traveling by different modes such as the metro and rickshaw. Some of the locations for food were a turn off.

Best food tour

Having been on many food tours this was by far my favorite one. The kebab we ate at the end was possibly the best food I have had. My tour guide Tavraej was incredible. If you are in Dehli you have to do this!

Great introduction to old Delhi

We had a great time exploring old Delhi - it would definitely have been challenging to manage this alone, especially in the busiest parts of the city. Our guide was well prepared, knew all the traders and navigated our transport easily.

Naresh was the best!

Had the most wonderful time with our excellent and very knowledgable tour guide, Naresh. He took us all around the Chandni Chowk area, sampling amazing foods that we wouldn't have had the wherewithal to find on our own. All throughout the trip he shared interesting information and perspective on the dishes and their history. He made sure that all our bites were from reputable and clean establishments, so no worries about food safety here. Highly recommended!

Simply amazing!

The tour was amazing! The tour guide, Victor, was great! We could try amazing food from different places and experience the Old Delhi with explanations from history and all. I loved it and would totally recommend. If you want to have a real experience with no risk of Delhi belly, go for it!

Great tour with Kavita. You really need a guide as a first timer to navigate your way through the chaotically wonderful streets of Old Delhi and to know where and what to eat. She was brilliant at all of this. Highly recommend

Very cool experience

We had a great time. Naresh was an awesome guide and did a great job at taking us to all different parts of Old Delhi. Would definitely recommend this tour not only just to try some great and safe street food, but also to experience Chandni Chowk. We felt safe with him and had no problems with the food or area.

Genuinely outstanding

I did both the Delhi and Mumbai street food tours with Kavita Chaudhary and Javed Sheikh and it was a brilliant experience. both Kavita and Javed were wonderfully informed and made the tour 'come alive' for me, explaining the history of the vendors and what's in the food, alongside bonus information about life growing up in Delhi and Mumbai. It was genuinely the best thing I did in my two-week trip to India, and I would recommend everyone to engage with Reality Tours & Travel if they're travelling in India.

Perfect way to safely explore local cuisine!

This food tour was excellent - easily our favorite thing in Delhi! We wanted to try some of the local street food but didn’t know where to start, and this tour was the perfect way to explore. We got to try loads of delicious dishes, and take the delhi metro and a few rickshaws. Naresh was a great tour guide, super friendly and really made the whole experience worth it. Writing this review a few days out and absolutely no stomach issues! Highly recommend!

Incredibly informative and great fun!

This was ont of the very best street food tours we have ever done, and as two ex chefs we have done a lot! Virat, our guide was excellent-his knowledge was outstanding and his English was excellent. We visited 10 establishments and learnt about the food of Delhi- from snacks to celebration food and everything in between! I would heartily recommend this tour-we really felt we learnt so very much

Amazing food tour an absolute must, we went to old Delhi which in itself is an experience, we ate at places we would never would have gone too and ate lovely food, we visited 9 different places, a brilliant experience, highly recommended

Great intro to Delhi

Great tour. Food tasted very varied. Our guide was great, very friendly and very interesting. Told us lots of facts on general life in Delhi, history and the food. Definitely recommend.

Another excellent tour with Reality.

Another excellent tour with Reality. After a trip round Mumbai we booked them again for the OId Delhi street food tour. They very helpfully agreed to start from our nearby hotel which saved time and travel. Tour with Naresh was very informative and interesting. He looked after us very well. And more importantly what we ate was very tasty with a good variety of different foods, each one explained well and most we observed being prepared. Visit to the Spice Market was a feature.

I took the tour today and was the only one in so had a great private tour with Ajay. The experience of Chandi Chowk walk is unreal. Ajay explained me a lot about the food as well as history of the buildings we passed, recipes and basically anything about Indian culture what I asked about. The street food options are very well chosen, you try different tastes of India. He was also very helpful when I wanted to buy spices to take with. Definitely a very well spent 4 hours :)

Great experience

Chandni Chowk food tour was amazing. I had not been to Chandni Chowk before so it was a double discovery. So crowded but great. The food was good, not too much and not too little. I did not get sick after. The guide took me to some amazing places I would not have found on my own. It was easy to follow him and there was enough time to eat and take photos.

Old Delhi Food Tour

Naresh was personable and accommodating, and took me to a variety of types of establishments to eat many different types of foods. I appreciated that Naresh ate along with me, which other food tour guides sometimes don't. Conversation with him about his life and experiences was interesting and enjoyable. Tiny recommendation: this tour, like some other food tours I've been on, should put the savory dishes up front and save the sweet stuff for the end!

A must-do for foodies seeking a unique experience

Myself, my wife, and two young children thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our guide Ravi was friendly, fun, and knowledgable on the food, history of the establishments, and history of the area. Every single dish sampled was delicious and we got to experience this part of Delhi as though we are a local while being foreign visitors. Darting in-between incredibly busy streets filled with pedestrians, rickshaws, and mopeds was a thrilling experience unto itself.

Delicious food tour!

Excellent and delicious food tour, especially the parathas and chole bature (still not had better of either of these in India and we have been here 3 weeks so far). All the stops were clean and safe and was great having a guide to navigate the busy streets of old Delhi as well as know which food stalls are safe for us! Also great to have metro and tuktuks included in the tour and arranged by the guide. Highly recommend.

Amazing Food Tour!

Sam made this food tour perfect from start to finish! Every stop was delicious and hygienic. It was great to have Sam’s help navigating the subway and the crowded streets of Chandni Chowk. It was also nice to relax and not worry about paying for food or arranging tuktuks. We can’t recommend enough!

Amazing Start to Finish!

Amazing start to finish! Sam very kindly showed us around the metro and the crowded markets of Chandni Chowk. Every stop was delicious and it was so comfortable to just eat (large portions!) without worrying about the cost. Sam was incredibly attentive and we had a phenomenal tour.

A wonderful evening

A great oppotunity to try some of the different street foods as well as see the Chounik market and experience the metro and tuk tuks. Food was all delious. The guide was really friendly and answered our questions on Dehli life as well as on the food.

Delicious food tour in Old Delhi

We took a tour today with Sam our lovely guide who did a great job of making us feel safe in the busy streets of Old Delhi. The food on the tour was incredible and was a great introduction to our India trip. Also got to go to a lot of famous food stalls selling a wide variety of food and the guide was happy to answer any questions about India and how to navigate the metro etc. would definitely recommend taking this trip!

The highlight of our trip to Delhi

We had an incredible time exploring Old Delhi with our guides Sourav and Ajay. They were both extremely professional and friendly. We felt very safe the entire tour, despite the area being somewhat chaotic. Some locals approached us throughout the tour, but Sourav and Ajay spoke to them with empathy and kindness. Reality Tours also have an NGO program where a large percentage of their profits are re-invested into local education, so you can rest assured that your money is being spent with an ethical company who cares about the community. Very grateful to be able to see a part of this city that we would find difficult navigating on our own. Oh and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Delhi 🙂

Good tour and food was delicious

Absolutely loved the food! The experience was good, the guides were good communicators and explained well! The tuk tuk ride was a bit of a surprise but we had a great time!

The real India.

The real India. Overwhelming streets, the food was good, interesting, varied transportation was used. The guides work hard to arrange the transportation and keep track of everyone on the tour. This is a way to see Old Delhi safely. Recommend.

We had a wonderful guide called Kavi who really went above and beyond to answer our questions, satisfy our requests and escort us through a very busy area safely. She was also very kind in helping us get our transportation back to the hotel. A fascinating tour which I would 100% recommend.

A Not to be missed experience

Me and my husband are from Chennai and chose this tour to experience the essence of “Dilli”..we were lucky to have the young energetic well informed Saurabh as our guide for the evening .. we started the tour on time with titbits about Delhi metro .. entering Chandni chowk was a descent into chaos and madness but Saurabh made sure we felt safe throughout…we tasted a lot of unique street food from stalls nearly a century old… learnt a lot about the history of old Delhi . Non veg lovers should choose evening walk to taste the soft and tender kebabs in front of Jama Masjid.. overall a very overwhelming and satisfying experience.. thanks to saurabh and reality tours

A great introduction to the old town and Indian street food!

This was the perfect introduction to the wonders of the chaotic old town and its culinary treasures. Reality Tours is such a great organisation and the tour gave us an insiders introduction to the metro and the old town and its treasures. Our guide Naresh was so knowledgeable and had done such great research into the wide variety of food available and took us to venues that we could never have found by ourselves. Naresh was so considerate warm and helpful ir was the perfect first day activity to get us accustomed to the vibrant and rich Indian food culture and street life. Totally recommended

Excellent taste of Old Delhi!

We had a great time on our food tour with Sourav! He was knowledgeable about the food and the history of the Old Delhi neighborhood. We tasted all kinds of different snacks and got to see several neighborhoods, plus ride in a rickshaw a couple of times! Everything was delicious - my husband and I were stuffed full by the end. My favorite was definitely the Chole Bhature, but it was all excellent.

Fabulous food adventure with brilliant guide

Wonderful guide Narresh took us on an extraordinary walk and rickshaw tour of old Delhi, stopping every so often to sample a delicious variety of street food. It was an exciting adventure we would never have done on our own. We dodged through gridlocked traffic, surfed the tidal flow of vibrant humanity, heard wonderful stories and asked deep questions. We ate tasty food we wouldn’t have dared without guidance. This is a fabulous way to experience vibrant Delhi and its potent humanity. Narresh was constantly protective, informative and entertaining… a dream guide.

A Must do In Delhi

What an incredible experience . We would never have ventured into old Delhi by ourselves as it is so crowded we would not have known where to go or what to eat. With the expertise of Sam our guide we felt very safe walking and eating the foods he got us. To experience all the different modes of transport during our tour was also an amazing experience in its self. Sam is a amazing guide who knows his stuff. We had so much to eat and drink during the tour that there was no need to have dinner later. Would defintely recommend this tour to others.

Great food!

Food was fantastic and the sightseeing in old Delhi impressive. You will see a lot. Guide was from social oriented organisation.

Disappointing to say the least

I arrived at the meeting spot 10 minutes early and no one was there. I thought I was early so I waited. And waited. And waited. No one ever showed up. Finally after waiting 20 minutes past the tour meeting time, I received a message from the company through viator saying the guide had become ill and had to return home. This is fine except I wonder how long I would have been waiting at the meeting spot if I had not tried to contact them. It would have been nice to receive a message from them as soon as they knew the tour would not be happening. Then to top it off after I left to return to my hotel, about 40 minutes after the original meeting time, I get a message on WhatsApp from the guide asking where I was and telling me he was waiting for me. I informed him that I was told by his company that he was ill and had returned home and I was no longer at the meeting spot and had returned to my hotel. The whole thing was very shady and unprofessional and I would not book with this company again, even though they did provide me with a refund through viator.

Great gateway to India's street food

I enjoyed along with my son the Old Delhi Street Food Tour. It was not only a great culinary experience but also a very useful tool to continue enjoying street food during our 4 weeks trip to India.

Perfect experience

Sourav is an excellent guide, fun and easy to connect with. The food was delicious and there was so much a almost tapped out of the last spot, but I'm glad Sourav encouraged me to try a little bit, the jalebi was mouthwatering. I booked this tour because I wanted to try authentic Indian street food and avoid the infamous deli belly, glad to report I have 🙌

I DID NOT get Sick !

This was my THIRD tour with Reality Tours. My two guides, were great. They tood us to 5 deliciuos places to have street food, and told us the history of each place. We ride on rickshaw and walked. We also saw the spice market, and I bought the BEST dried figs EVER ! They are from Afghanistan, impossible to get in my country!
