Decent Tour...Expensive Transportation

Tour of the Red Fort was decent. Tour guide was rushed, but did give a lot of great history of the fort. My issue is with the transport. I was a solo traveler and was picked up as expected at my hotel. However, after the tour the driver asked where I wanted to go. I stated that he could bring me to the Hard Rock and I would find my own transportation back to the hotel. However, he said that he would bring me wherever I wanted to go after lunch. Little did I know that this entailed being dropped off at a "bazaar" where I was hounded into buying a suit and more that I didn't expect to purchase. I found out later that India shops offer commission to all that bring tourists to their locations. Lesson learned. If you do the tour, just ask to go back to the hotel and find an uber to go to your next location. It will be a lot cheaper.

Generally good but tour operator needs to listen to the client.

I would have given this a 5 but my issue was the tour operator. The guide and driver were good. However, despite the tour operator being nice and easy to communicate with, they didn't listen. We confirmed and agreed a 10:00 start. I got multiple messages late at night and early morning which annoyed me, telling me to be ready at 09:00. I couldn't as I was doing something else. Eventually we started at 10:00. However due to the tour operator not listening, I was told the guide was no longer free for 10:00! We eventually got a guide who was good but the tour operator needs to listen to the client and deliver.

Great Tour Guide Mahesh

Our pick up and drop off was reliable and on time. Our tour guide Mahesh was extremely knowledgeable and his history knowledge was great. I would definitely recommend this tour guide and this tour! There was no queuing and entry was fast.

Guided tour of India

Naresh is a very knowledgeable and interesting tour guide that I had the pleasure of meeting today for a guided tour of Delhi. His wealth of information was wonderful to hear and I found the whole day brilliant. He knew so much about various points of interest around Delhi and beyond. His English is fantastic and very engaging. I just wish I know about him sooner. Thank you Naresh!

Good way to spend a couple of hours

I had a hotel pick up arranged and the driver Bunty spoke good English. We met the guide at the fort - Dr Jay. He was very knowledgeable and explained various aspects about the fort. I think a guide is worthwhile because there are a lot of things that you wouldn’t learn without them. I was on my own and there were no others on the tour so I was able to ask lots of questions. We were there fairly early so I don’t think we actually jumped a queue. Like many attractions, if you get there early it’s usually less crowded. There are options to visit old Delhi market lanes afterwards as it in the same neighbourhood. The driver dropped me back to the hotel making the whole experience fairly painless. I literally booked a couple of hours before the tour and they were very accomodating in making it happen as I didn’t have a lot of time.

I have come to rely on Trip Advisor for their constant quality of tour guides. Their guides are vetted for knowledgeable tour content. And true to my experience this tour was excellent. First the drive Venya was very kind, interesting and helpful. As a woman touring alone I felt completely safe and cared for. My tour was complete with exceptional guidance. Seeing the Red Fort in person was so much more that what I had already read. This visit was fascinating and I learned details that can only come from from person visit and great guide. Highly recommend this tour.
