Fijian cultural day on the beach!

The trip was interesting, especially thanks to the enthusiasm of the local Fijians running the tour. The activities, except for the snorkeling (not much coral and fish to speak of), were engaging: the lovo meal (lunch), the performance of traditional dances and the palm leave weaving. Be prepared for a slow day by the beach where one can swim safely in balmy waters. Shower and change facilities are available.

Wananavu

Hospitality was amazing! The kids enjoyed themselves and participated in all activities. The lovo was YUM 🤤 and entertainment whilst having a feed was on 🔥 Wananavu 🤙🏽

Avoid using Viator

If there were a graphic for zero stars for VIATOR, that's what I would assign. VIATOR did not accurately communicate a pick up time, and we missed this tour. A group of seven well educated, capable individuals all checked their emails, and NO ONE found the pick up time, so we arrived the 15 minutes early and were told that the the bus had come two hours earlier. Countless hours on the phone produced no satisfaction. That said, I'm sure the local cultural experience was amazing. Avoid using Viator.

Bad for my first time using service of Viator

It was bad that i left unpicked up with the driver said come to pick up and do not meet us. We are wating since 8 10am until 9.15am at lobby with nobody comes to say anything. We were among other guests waiting for other travel agency. No refund as I assume.. Viator has too many excuse. Bad experience with Viator for me and would think hard to consider using again. Sorry for my straighful comments.

Exceptional experience

Excellent experience. Superb staff and very personable experience. Food was excellent and wife really enjoyed the snorkeling experience.

Beach Day

River cruise, coconut demo, food, drinks, performances, beach so fun. Somehow I missed the jungle walk and we regret not taking advantage of water toys.

Great island experience !!!

It had everything as mentioned in the description. We were picked up and dropped promptly from our hotel. The island was very beautiful and the hosts were friendly, warm and welcoming and all of us were treated properly. Recommend this tour anyone who visits Fiji.

Overall good, with a couple of hiccups

Hiccup with pick up, had to ring to discover they had overlooked our pick up. Then a mad dash to catch the correct coach to the small boat that took us to the island. Island activities were varied and very friendly. My daughters snorkel experience didnt go so well, with the snorkel snapping and no back up provided. Food and entertainment was good. Would still recommend the actual cultural experience

Excellent experience

Sailing to island , dances games food. Beach was beautiful. Snorkelling and kayaking was included and all tra coffee soft drinks unlimited

Good day out

A full day out, taken to Robinson Crusoe Island by boat. Cultural activities as promised. Fairly good lunch, that could have had more variety. Cooking of the Lovo was interesting.

Levuka Island adventure

Everyone was very nice and friendly. Lots of information about the Fiji culture and way of life. Great show after lunch.

Waste of time

Would like to give my very honest opinions. This is just a trip that takes you to an island which has a resort on it. All the activities are just organised by the resort. It’s 1.5h to go to the jetty from Nadi another 30 mins ride on the boat to the island and when you arrive, you either go snorkelling for 45mins or you make the raw fish dish. Then it’s 1h of free time, which we will see how they dig the lovo and then it’s lunch. Another 30 mins of free time and it’s a very short walk in the garden. Then you weave a basket and watch hermit crabs race. They have a short performance during lunch too. It was so hot and such a waste of time. If I knew we were going onto an island that’s monopolised by the resort and you have to spend to get everything, I would not have gone. Fiji cultural village does a better job.

Loved it was a great trip very enjoyable. Everything ran on time and very smoothly, Everyone is really helpful and friendly. The Island was great, we would go back and stay anytime

Such a great day!

My husband and I thought this was a fun and entertaining trip. First we had a little free time and chose to enjoy the beach and ocean. Then, we watched the coconut demonstration and Kokoda making. We were offered some to eat when finished and it was very delicious. Next, was the lovo digging and fire walking. We watched as they uncovered our lovo lunch and a fire walker came and stood on the hot coals once the food was taken off. Everyone enjoyed the delicious buffet provided for lunch. While we ate, the native dancers performed for us. Once lunch was complete, we enjoyed the educational nature medicine walk learning about how Fijians use plants for their medicine. Next, we learned how to weave palm leaves into a purse/small basket. The day ended with a quick but entertaining crab race and being serenaded as we left the island.

Great value, highly recommend

Talk about value for money. 45min van ride to the jetty. True 25min jungle cruise to the island with onboard singing. All afternoon preplanned entertainment if you wanted it (snorkling, dancing, crab racing etc). Staff were so welcoming and lovely. Would highly recommend.

A great day out in Fiji

The day was a great experience for us (family of four with 12yo and 9yo boys)! From the boat trip to the reef for snorkelling, fire dancing, a yummy luvo lunch, weaving coconut leaves into baskets, finding out about the medicinal uses of the plants on the island, kayaks on the beach to the hermit crab racing, it was interesting, enjoyable and heaps of fun. The staff were welcoming, funny, enthusiastic and obviously loved their island and culture. Highly recommended for families.

fun day out for all ages

Great trip. You could do as much or as little as you wanted. The island was not overcrowded and the food was yummy. Great for all ages.

Worth the visit! Great cultural experience!

Great day out for our family of 3, we enjoyed the snorkelling and earth oven lunch. Plenty of food to go around and we learnt a lot about the Fijian culture. Our guide was entertaining and informative. The boat ride was relaxing and also enjoyed the weaving class. The highlight was the fire dancing and Fijian dancers and big thanks to one of the guides that helped our 8yr old go out to snorkel on the reefs. Professional and caring team on Likuri Island, not crowded and will go back next time.

Fun and informative.

The guided tour explaining about their natural medicines and the dancing were fabulous and so interesting. The food was really enjoyable and the scenery was lovely too. We had some weather issues which meant we could not snorkel for more than 15 minutes. This would have been alleviated if they had turned things around a bit and had the crab racing and basket weaving in the early part of the day and snorkeled later on, but they stuck to their schedule. Overall, it was a enjoyable day and the staff were great.

Paradise

Our big comfy bus picked us up from our hotel in Denarau and took us on an hour scenic drive down the coral coast. Once there a jetty took us on a 30 minute ride down a river that led to the ocean and to the island. We were greeted by singing and guitar playing. The ocean was clear, white Sandy beach with the most amazing seashells. The most friendly and accommodating staff. The food and drinks were delicious! S many activities to keep you entertained. The cultural dance was phenomenal. Highly recommend to everyone.

Beautiful location.with a friendly team providing great food, activities & entertainment. A great day out for a group of friends, a family or a couple. Loved the Kokoda cooking demo & tasting. I’m keen to try making this delicious Fijian dish back home.

A must do day out.

What a wonderful day, a must do trip when visiting Fiji. From the moment you set foot on the boat for a cruise along the Tuva River to Likuri Island off shore, you are treated as family with staff who make you smile and keep you smiling. The island itself is postcard perfect and mixed with all the activities on offer, makes a perfect day out. There is snorkeling, swimming, coconut and cooking experience, a buffet fit for any king, cultural dancing - with fire, basket weaving, crab racing, and even a chance to dance with the locals.

A really beautiful island with loads of activities. The coconut demonstration and Medicine walk were highlights for us! The lunch from the Lovo was great too! Really good trip for families or couples too.

Day was OK but Island did not seem as clean as others. Food was good and host guy was entertaining and funny.

The 40-minute ride back took us two hours. We waited for the entire bus to get back to the hotel before the bus finally dropped us off. i feel so sad.. The staff on the island are enthusiastic, the performances are excellent, the water is not as clear as elsewhere, and the beaches are relatively mediocre. Culturally enriched

Loved hearing about and experiencing a bit of Fiji life - how they use what Nature provides for them, learning to weave a handbag and enjoying a delicious lovo lunch. Entertainment galore - the Fijians really know how to make you feel welcome, included and engaged!!! When we went though, it was very windy with scattered drizzles; so we couldn’t access any water activities or swim in the ocean.

Beautiful Cultural Authentic Experience in Fiji

From the onset. The ease of booking coupled with the professional handling of our trip, made this a very memorable experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgable of their culture. We had a wonderful day...

We had a wonderful day from start to finish. We met some other tourists and we just blended today. The staff made is feel welcome and homely. The love was magnificent as was the entertainment. We arrived there as tourists and left as friends. Thanks to all from the coach driver to the boat captain and your beautiful welcoming staff. We has a marvellous time and will be sure to recommend this trip to many others. Also we will be booking to stay for a few nights on Likuri Island. :)

Likuri island excursion

The river cruise to Likuri island was a fantastic experience albeit a land trip of about 2 hrs from our hotel to the boat station and another 30-40 min boat ride. We were welcomed by a typical Fijian hospitality and staff wearing those beautiful smiles. They had activities lined up for the rest of the day starting with snorkelling, coconut tree climbing and a taste of fresh coconut juice and witnessing the lovo way of cooking our lunch. Langi and Paul did the fire walk after our lunch consisting of chicken, cassava, potatoes were removed from the lovo. During the buffet lunch we were entertained by traditional Fijian dances and the amazing fire dance. After lunch we had a rest then went bush walking into the medicinal garden. My partner and I had the opportunity of planting our own coconut tree. This was followed by weaving class, crab race and finished up with a Bula dance. Such a good value for money experience! Likuri island resort offers nice cottages by the beach which we will definitely consider on our next visit.

Fake Advertisement

One of the worst tour experiences. I have been to a few tours here in Fiji and all of those have been great. The TTF bus was supposed to pick us up from Gateway but they drove right pass us. Then we had to make 4-5 calls to rearrange another pickup and the officer asked us to be at Nadi temple and we had to take an extra taxi for that. Now coming to the tour itself, it’s so bad. There isn’t much to do and the activities aren’t executed greatly. No fans in the shade area. The cutlery and plates were dirty. It was really hard to kill time there. All we wanted was to be back to our hotel. It’s just not worth it and there are way better tours in Fiji that you can do. This is all fake advertisement about cultural tour and fun activities all day. There is no fun but just sit on a wooden bench for all day long. Cant even go to the beach for a dip as there are bottles and rubbish all around the beach. We paid $60 for the pickup from the hotel in advance. On arrival at the island the lady from the reception kept on hassling us to pay $60 again during the lunch time! I couldn’t even eat properly. My advice: don’t go please! There are many other FUN tour’s happening around Nadi, Fiji within the same price range.

Memorable experience

The full day was full of activities to keep you busy and entertained. Loved the show. The food was cooked really nicely and yummy too.

Nice island with good fun

Dance and shows were good. The island was peaceful and beautiful. Loco might not suit everyone one from personal experience. Go be prepared to go there for the experience, not the food.

Island vibes all day

I had a fantastic day on Likuri island. I had fun as a solo traveller. All the staff were excellent- just so warm and welcoming (as everyone in Fiji seems to be!). Lots of planned activities to choose from and plenty of sun beds to lie on during down time. Lunch was delicious and I enjoyed all the performances while we ate. We were very lucky that it didn’t rain, however because it has been raining a lot lately, the water wasn’t that beautiful blue colour. So don’t expect that if you are going around this time (I went Jan 8).

Great time fun staff.

Definitely worth it

The dancers were absolutely fantastic and we enjoyed learning the way they live off the land. Remarkable.

Great day out

Had a wonderful time, hosts were lovely and made it a great day. Possibly could have had a little more structure so you knew what the plan was prior to arriving to the island, but equally enjoyed it all the same. Would definitely recommend!

Great Adventures and great food!

One of the best trips we had! The driver does come early to pick you up from your stay so if they give you a time to meet at the lobby, make sure you come at least 15mins earlier. Overall wonderful experience, we were able to enjoy the nice river cruise, clear beach waters on the island and also get to eat really good lovo! Id recommend anyone to give this a go especially if you are new to travelling in Fiji.

It was heaven !

Last tour for us, which was a full day on Lukuri Island. Nice! Transfer was smoothly , well communicated , information and arrangement was spot on. Amazing lunch and cultural shows. Langin, the host was amazing, funny and talented. Highly recommended to all, games were great and the location was heaven .

The children travelling with us loved the interaction of staff, we would recommend it highly as a must do.

By going on this tour, we learned more about the Fijian lifestyle and traditions and experienced the environment around us and how the locals live, which we would not have experienced staying within the resort. Thank you to all concerned - especially Tori, our hostess for the day, she was great fun and Paul, the convener, was very well organised. The coconut demonstration was great and was made into a delicious salad, which I would recommended being included in the lunch for everyone to try.The rest of the lunch food was a bit disappointing and very bland. A variety of experiences were enjoyed including the snorkelling and dancing - although the hot coal walking, although tradition, was something we would not want to experience again! Beautiful location, great guides

The island is a beautiful location. The best part of the day was the flexibility. Plenty of activities to partake in, out you can choose to just enjoy the island. The staff are all incredibly friendly. They really elevated the experience.

A great introduction to Fiji Culture

An amazing day, gives you a great understanding of Fiji Culture. Hostess and driver very friendly and explained what our day would bring. The Fiji dancers and thei beautiful lunch they served, we couldn't fault. Would totally recommend.

Good Family Fun

Likuri island is a beautiful little island! I was traveling solo, but there were many families! I booked a wonderful massage for the best price in Fiji! The activities, including basket weaving and crab racing were fun! There was enough free time to join or not join certain activities, but there was always something going on. The food was great! Loved hearing about the Lovo and fire walking and seeing the traditional dancing! With coffee, tea, wine and beer included all day, it was a fun time!! But also big family vibes!

Our favorite destination!

My fiance and I visited Fiji for 3 weeks and I think this was our absolute favorite place. We did the full day tour and got to enjoy pristine beaches, water sports and the friendly staff. During our tour, they provided us lunch with cultural entertainment. They showed us how to climb trees for coconuts and then husk them with a machete. We really enjoyed the different landscapes offered here at the different tides. A very magical place.

All your cultural experiences along with island and snorkelling activities in one day

An amazing day experiencing so much of the Fijian culture and natural environment. Extremely friendly staff and very informative guide Tuk kept us entertained all day. Cruise up the river to the island was relaxing. Snorkelling was fun and loved seeing some beautiful fish in their natural environment. Amazing cultural experience included a lovo with the food serviced up as a delicious buffet lunch, fire walking, traditional dancing and fire throwing, nature walk explaining the medicinal benefits of plant and weaving. Other activities to do as well including water sports etc. A great tour as it covers so many experiences in one day and free flowing beer and wine on the island and added bonus!

Totally unexpected delight - randomly booked this tour with the guidance of our extremely helpful and knowledgeable tour desk lady at The Warwick. Met friendly and welcoming locals, amazing lovo lunch, beautiful beach to explore.

A MUST DO for family to visit the island

PRO: a great day to the island. Lots culture performance and demonstrations. The staffs on island know everything , dancing, cooking , coconut cutting , messaging, fish feeding , weaving coconut leaves to Gucci bags, singing and braiding hairs ( $2 per). You can also do free water activities like snorkeling, kayaking and water biking . Yummy food and free drink.( the greatest food I have ever had since arrived Nadi) PLEASE DONT FORGET TO TIP THEM CON: lots mosquitoes, I forgot to spray. So got 6 bites
