Short and sweet tour around Nadi

It was a pleasant day tour. Anand, our tour guide, was very informative and accommodating. We had a very interesting trip to a historical village and school where our group was serenaded by school children. Then we finished the day playing in the mud pool hot springs - a relaxing end to the day.

The trip was very interesting and went by smoothly!😊 Anand taught and guided us very well all throughout the tour! One of my favorites was the village tour and learned about the cannabalism history of Fiji! Also, took the mudbath (didn't plan to) but I am GLAD I DID! You need to do the mud bath 🫶🏼

We saw the Best of Nadi at Fiji pace!

We saw all the major sights around Nadi. And were educated on Fiji history, and indigenous and Fiji Indian culture by our bus driver guide and local and village guides. It was a good first day in Fiji. There was no hurry; nothing was a problem. The guide was relaxed and friendly. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness everywhere we went.

Great full on tour.

Such a great tour.. lots fun and cultural activities.. bring your own food and snacks because there is only one cafe stop on the way. Our guide Anand has been great. He taught us a lot about the country and has been very good driver. We visited a local school and a village which has been an authentic heartwarming experience. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is keen to explore Nadi.

Great experience and great driver!!

As much as the trip was very enjoyable…it would not have been as special without our driver O’man. He made sure to answer every question we had (I had a lot !!), was patient and waited for us when we were on our excursion and took pictures of us while we were doing them. The temple was educational, the village experience was great and educational. Kelevi (Kaleb) was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the village and country. The Garden of the Sleeping Giant was very pretty and the mud baths were an interesting experience. All excursions were great!! Only negatives were we didn’t know about that it is customary to bring a gift for the children of the school. Also the Garden of the Sleeping Giant didn’t have as many flowers as I had expected (flowers may not have been in bloom for the time of year we went?).

Amazing tour

The tour was amazing. We saw so many beautiful sites and explored places we have never been. Would definitely do it again.

Loved it, totally worth time/price, I wish we had more time allocated

Viator didn't accept 1 person registration (needed min 2), so contacted tour operator Valentine Tours directly (talked to Milly), she was very responsive and accommodative. Directly booked with her. Decided on payment on day of tour to guide. She checked with me 1 day before scheduled tour day. Guide (who was driver too) picked me up from hotel as expected. We were total 6 tourists in van. Along with operator's photographer. Starting from Hindu temple to shopping to agricultural market to Viseisei village to Vunda primary school to Sleeping giant orchids garden and Sabeto mud bath at end. From 9am to 3:15pm. AC van. All went well. Guide was knowledgeable and explained many things (and answered tons of my questions). Everything was well worth and we all enjoyed it. Just 3 suggestions for making it even better - 1) guide needs to make sure the people sitting towards back in van are able to hear and interact (that was not happening in our tour), 2) there needs to be a dedicated 30min lunch break and 3) need at least 15 mins more at temple, orchids garden and mud pool. I'd definitely recommend doing this.

Must do tour!

Great tour!! We had such a great day. Anand was our tour guide for the day and have us a really good description of life in Fiji! He was kind and caring. Really enjoyed this! The mud bath and thermal pools were fabulous as was the tour a local village!!!

Learned a lot

Very informative and good broad range of experience. Felt a little rushed at the gardens. Loved the school and the temple.

Fabulous day tour

This tour is fantastic! We had such a fabulous day and got to experience so much of the culture in a short period of time. The driver Deo did an excellent job. Highly recommend.

Best of Nadi

Fantastic for the Traditional Village, Garden of the Sleeping Giant, and the Mud Pools. Wish the villagers could have prepared traditional lunch for us. Tour was 9am to 2pm and I would have gladly paid for traditional lunch

This tour was incredible. Seeing reality in Nadi, Fiji was refreshing and reality. Showed me reality of another country. Deo however was amazing. Informative, caring, and had wonderful conversation with him. This is the tour to take and request Deo. By the way make sure you TALK to the locals. They loving seeing and meeting curious foreigners. Deo was inspiration and so positive. Pick this tour and ask for Deo! Thank you Deo- we will forever send you many blessings and hopefully our paths cross someday!

This was such a fun and comprehensive tour! I learned a lot and loved seeing some of Nadi’s highlights. Deo and the driver were very kind and informative. I would highly recommend this tour!

Perfect way to see Nadi highlights

Such a great day out! We were unexpectedly taken in a private car and our tour guide Anand was incredibly informative about life in Fiji as well as everywhere we were taken. Visiting the school was a highlight, meeting the kids and them enthusiastically singing to us! With each of the stops we were able to take our time and spend as much time as we wanted at each visit. Anand was really helpful and made this tour a highlight of our time in Fiji. Highly recommend this tour.

Fun way to spend a long layover

All the sights were amazing! The massage after the mud bath is a must, way less expensive than resorts and the staff were so friendly. I was the only one on my afternoon tour and they still took me, big shout out for that!

Great day seeing a lot of sights

This ended up being a full day tour. It was great, we saw so many different sights, and visiting the village and school were really welcome experiences. I would only suggest to organize the tour to include having a scheduled stop for lunch/stopping somewhere to get a to go lunch, or taking lunch with you. I would highly recommend this tour overall!

Not worth the price

Love the mud pool and hot spring. The fruit market was disappointing and unnecessary. The guide was very informative. We do recommend adding a stop for lunch since this is a full day tour

Anand and Raj were the finest! The put the boo in Boola. Truly only the Finest with them. They made it happen and kept it real.

Gather around Fiji to learn its story and visit key places around Nadi

Anand was our guide, he was very charming and polite, explained to us what shout we expect and also shared with us some personal background explaining life in Fiji as the history of the country. Took us to all places established in the tour and always willing to answer our questions. Bula and Vinaka Anand !!

Amazing experience, humility, friendliness and good vibes + unique cultural exchange

I had the pleasure to go on this tour guided by Mr. Anand. We have seen a great overview of what being a Fijian means - friendliness, family and felicity. Temples, villages, experiences, even hiking - all in approx 5-6 hours has exceeded our expectations. We are more than happy and wish we had more time to go on more tours. Next time we come to Fiji we will make sure we go back again with Valentine Tours.

Nadi tour highlights

Anand was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. His tour of the temple was thorough and he shared insights and information about the structures and the religion. He made sure we were aware of cultural needs and requirements for the tour. The village tour was amazing, the local guide lives in the village and was a stunning singer - acoustics in the church were awesome. Make sure to climb to the top lookout at the garden of the sleeping giant, it is worth the hike for the view. Take food or buy food in the morning as there is minimal opportunity in afternoon. Mud pools and massage was a perfect way to finish the day - make sure not to take your best swimming costume, the mud goes everywhere!

Anand was amazing, he was so knowledgeable about Fiji, and was an excellent guide, The village was amazing, beautiful people. Anand was caring and compassionate about each of his travellers today. Highly recommend.

A friendly and informative cultural tour

Exploring the Fiji culture with our wonderful guide, Deo. An interesting visit to a tradtional Fijian village and hearing the amazing singing voice of the village pastor. I would recommend everyone to get away from the resorts for awhile and immerse yourself in the Fiji countryside and culture

Great day in Nadi

Anand our tour guide was excellent, the timing of the cruise and activities was perfect, we went at our own pace and Anand was very patient, he shared a wealth of information with us during the day, we learnt a lot about Nadi and the various places we visited. Thank you we really enjoyed the tour and would recommend Anand and tour company.

Amazingly fantastic

Every day was a great experience the staff at the hotel and the Captain Cook cruise were wonderful people. The food and entertainment was fantastic.

Such a fun day on Fiji time. No hurry, no worry! our guide was very informative and pleasant. The temple, kava, market, village, gardens, mud bath was a full day of seeing and experiencing Fiji! That’s exactly what we came for!

The highlight was visiting the school and hearing the children sing so beautifully. Highly recommended.

LIVING IN THE MOMENT

Valentine tours was very accommodating in knowing our time limit. They organised a sole pickup for us so as to have no restraints on getting back to the resort for us to get to the airport on time to fly home. The driver "Aman" delivered an exceptional experience, being very informative & suggestive in utilising our time the best way possible in the short time frame we had. We were able to fit 2 amazing experiences in to the morning without feeling rushed or pressured in any way. TIFAJEK Mud Pools & hot springs & the Sleeping Giant Orchid Gardens. Both truly well worth visiting. "Aman" gave us the time we needed, however also kept a watchful eye on the clock to bring us back with the feeling we were still on " FIJI TIME".... :-) Thank you Valentine Tours.....!!!!

Amazing tour, saw so much. Great memories

Our tour guide Deo was very friendly, helpful and told us a lot about Denarau. He made our tour very enjoyable as did our driver, they both went out of their way for everyone. We saw so much and took plenty of photos. The highlight for my husband and I was the school. The children were gorgeous with great big smiles and lots of high fives. We would highly recommend this tour. Big thanks to Deo and our lovely driver ( so sorry, I forgot his name.)

Amazing tour with best driver ever!

Amazing tour given by the best driver Anand! Very informative throughout the tour especially on the background of Fiji and its history. Anand was so helpful with translation for us with the locals when we needed to buy things and got us the best deals! Would definitely recommend this tour!!

A great day

The School visit was tremendous. All the rest was good. The colourful temple was very interesting and the Kava ceremony......different, but good.

Not worth it.

We did this tour near the end of our trip and were a bit disappointed by the experience. The bus driver was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, though seemed a bit disorganised or perhaps just not communicative at times. The shop is a standard tourist trap, though we did find some gimmick souvenirs to take home with us there. We went to the Namaka market, which was underwhelming - just a large fruit and veg market which didn't have a lot of use to us at this point. It was nice to see though, I guess. I think the handicraft market was closed as it was Saturday. The temple was slightly interesting, though it was hardly worth going inside and you can take decent photos from outside. Our main reason for doing this tour was to see the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, which was magnificent, however due to rain we couldn't see as much of it as we would have liked. The mud pool and hot springs was a cool experience, though there was a large group of people singing when we went there and watching us which was a little strange. We finished the day with a visit to Viseisei village, which was the most disappointing part. It felt very commercialised and we didn't really learn much about the culture, history or traditions - just heard the guide talk about his grandmother and skin colours for a long time. If you're looking to experience a traditional village, I would recommend the GoDirty village tour.

Great tour with a bit of everything

Loved this tour and even though the weather was unpredictable that day, tour guide shuffled order so we could get to gardens & mud bath before rain. The only part we missed out was village walk around due to amount of rain we drove through instead of walking. Highly recommend this tour. Suggest wear open shoes as you have to remove for temple & mud bath

Nadi highlights afternoon day trip

Pickup car comes early and waiting for us at Hotel lobby. Very friendly not rushing give enough time to visit each attractions. We enjoyed our stop over in Fiji.

Easy family day out to do some sightseeing

Lovely tour for young family, driver was great, we had a small group so weren’t rushed to go to the next stop. Please bring gifts to the school with you like stationary, pencils, etc is greatly appreciated. I recommend bringing gifts with you before you leave for your holiday.

An interesting day

It was lovely to get a feel for the diversity of Fijian culture. The Sleeping giant Gardens was a really interesting set up in an incredible setting as were the hot mud pools.

This tour was simply amazing - Aman our driver was fantastic, he was super informative, friendly and knew so much about every aspect of the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and highly recommend touring with Aman.

Heart of nadi

This excursion gives you a little of everything, shopping, socialize with the villagers,and school. Very informative on the culture, the garden of the sleeping giant was beautifully green, and the mud bath leaves you relaxed after a long day

Great at our,

We booked the tour the morning we landed and they picked us up about 10 minutes later. Our guide Deo and driver Raj were fun, knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up paying with American cash, but they were also very willing to take us to an ATM machine if that was our preference. Highlights were the village visit and the mud pools, but every stop was interesting and worthwhile. Highly recommend.
