Great walk through the beautiful tea gardens of Munnar, with Mari providing excellent guidance on the trails as also on the local flora and fauna. The trek was not too hard but also has its own set of exciting challenges. Munnar Info gave all the support that was necessary

Wonderful guide and beautiful views

We were completely blown away by this trek - the views once you reach the peaks are some of the most magnificent we’ve ever seen. Our guide Ramesh was fantastic. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable - and made sure to check in on us as a mixed ability group. Really fantastic experience which was made exceptional by him! Great hike in the beautiful green trea hills

Amazing hike up a mountain through forests and tea plantations! Our guide was great, he told us a lot about animals and plants, provided snacks and even plucked passion fruits fresh from the trees for us to try them. One of the best trips in India so far. 🌞

Amazing day trekking trip around Munnar

It was a very nice day walking trip with Ramesh in Munnar. We saw many nice trees/plants, even wild Elefants and he knew a lot about Lokal nature. The trip was a good mix between nature and Lokal tee tree and spice plantation. I would definitely recommend!

Excellent views, excellent guide!

Raja was amazing! He was incredibly helpful throughout the trek and made sure I had enough time to stop, catch my breath and continue. Not only this, he also offered to educate us about the history of Munnar and how the tea leaves are cultivated. He was punctual and made sure we didn't get too far behind the schedule and made it very easy for me a beginner like me to trek through some of the roughest patches in this trek. If you want to see the best that Munnar has to offer - he can help!

Wonderfull experience in the green hills

The half day hike with Vijayan was a great experience. The scenery is stunning. Even though we went on a cloudy day the walk through the tea plantation was magical and it helped a lot to have Vijayan with us, a local, with 15 years of guiding experience in the area. He told us many things about the plants and animals, but also life in the area itself. I'd highly recommend this tour.

Amazing early morning hike

Amazing hike with Raja! It started 7 am from hour hotel; he organised a tuk tuk to the start of tbr hike (10 min away). Five hours round hike on top of a few mountains (with delicious breakfast prepared by his wife) and through the tea gardens, with helpful explanation of all the plants we met. Highly recommended.

Great full day hiking experience in Munnar!

We had such an amazing trip with Ramesh. He was soo sweet and eager to make us learn everything. The whole experience was really really great and we are definitely recommending Ramesh to all our friends when they come to Munnar!

Hike around tea plantations

Ramesh led our hike on a tea plantation and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the landscape, animals, and plants grown. He was a great guide and I would recommend booking him!

Pothamedu Hill Trek.

What a wonderful morning we had trekking through the mountains of Munnar. For 3 hours we were immersed in facts and information about the wild animals, types of teas, and the fauna and flora we passed by. We had a stop and drank some delicious tea and some well needed snack before our decent back down to the dam. The views were breathtaking throughout. The trek in total was 6km. Mr Mari, our guide was exceptional once again.

Beautiful trek with great guide!

We loved this half day hike through the beautiful tea fields. Our guided Raja had so much great information to share about the tea, plants and local area and provided us with local snacks. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to do some low level trekking in a beautiful setting.

Peaceful and quiet trekking tour through the tea hills with Ramesh

We (couple from Germany) had an amazing tour with Ramesh. He is such a kind and humble person and speaks excellent English. He explained us the different sorts of tea, how to harvest, grow etc. and a lot more of other flowers, fruits and also animals along our path. Also, he brought delicious food for the lunch break. In general, this was may more than we expected. A peaceful, quite tour through the tea plantation and jungle. Thanks a lot, Ramesh!

Morning hike

Amazing experience in beautiful sourandings of Keralas tea- plantations. So much to learn, taste and see. A wonderful guide took us up the hills and tought us so much about tea production and nature. A lovely break in the middle of the trip in a charming garden, spectacular views both from the top and downhill. Recommend it to every nature lover.

Trekking Munnar with Ramesh

Fabulous trek in the hills/mountains around Munnar. Ramesh was an excellent guide - explaining the names and uses of different local plants. Finding lots of evidence of elephant activities, an interesting cave and of course great views. Only 3 of us on the trek and no one else around. Perfect. His wife’s food for lunch was delicious.

Brilliant hike with our guide Vijayan

Really enjoyable hike. Our guide Vijayan was brilliant: very knowledgeable and explained to us about the production of tea and many spices. He also picked many fruits for us to sample along the way. We would definitely recommend this hike if you enjoy walking and nature and are fit enough for the steep climb - the view is worth it!

The highlight of our India trip! Ramesh highly recommended

A really unforgettable hike. The views were incredible and our guide Ramesh was amazing. We started in a group for half the day then it was just us for the rest of the afternoon, Ramesh took an easier pace with the bigger group then ramped up the pace and difficulty at our request when it was just us, listening to the group and checking in with them regularly. Throughout the hike he showed us the flora and foraging available in the area which was incredibly interesting and educational. A must do hike when in Kerala!

Great hike with Vijayan! Had a lovely time exploring the hills on Munnar from 8:30-13:00. Would definitely recommend!

Must do to experience Munnar

We didn’t really know what to do when we arrived in Munnar. We booked this walk at the last minute the night before, and so glad we did - it was a brilliant walk, beautiful scenery, a great guide Raja that told us all about the plants and tea. Must do to experience Munnar. Also, there is no way to do a proper walk like this without a guide.

Amazing views and tea fields

We did the Anakullam wild elephant village tour in a jeep one day and a full day hiking the next day and had a great experience on both occasions. The full day hike was incredible too thanks to our guide King Raja. We hiked up two hilltops with great views, from which we descended down via gorgeous tea valleys. Total hiking time might have been 4-5hours with enough breaks. Trainers were fine but light hiking shoes would do better. Bring good sunscreen and some water for the morning. We would recommend Munnarinfo as they are very professional and quick to reply.

Nice and easy tour

Nice walk in the tea- covered mountains above Munnar. Cosy group and guide on Christmas Day. The trail was only a bit crowded when we rrach the Hill top, and beside a lot if tea the trail eas through different kind of vegetation. At top it can be a little cold at winther times så bring a jacket og sweather.

Great time in Munnar

Very good expérience. Our guide Mister Ramish explained us the tea plantation history during this trekking and he was so kind with our kids, we really had a great time ! I recomand 100%

Enjoyable and informative

Ramesh, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Think the pace of the walk was about right for all concerned. Spectacular views throughout; a different one at every turn. All in all, a very enjoyable trip and good value for money.

Stunning views over the plantation and plenty of wildlife info.

Mari took us through the tea plantation and up a fairly steep incline to, I believe, 1400m. The views were breath-taking. Mari is an experienced guide and is knowledgable about many aspects of wildlife and vegetation. We had a delicious home-made samosa, presumably from Mari's home. I would suggest wearing light clothing, sun protection (there's little shade) and taking regular rests along the way. Not for couch potatoes!

Well run tour

This was an excellent walk through a mix of tea, woodland and open mountain with lots of flowers, birds and even a Malabar giant squirrel. The guide was very good and knew his stuff. Easy to book at last minute.

Fantastic guide, company and views!

I signed up for the half day but was very quickly (and easily) convinced by the other two lovely women on the hike to do the full day. Vino was a fantastic guide, giving us great insight into life in Munnar and the local flora. A lovely lunch was provided halfway through the hike. The best day I had yet during my time in India!

Specially ask for Vijay when you book the halfway trip

This was absolutely the highlight of my Munnar trip. Vijay made this hiking tour so much more than just hiking. He took us on an adventures trip all the way up. We went through forest, tea plantages while going uphill. Even though hiking isn't easy Vijay made it a lot easier with stopping at every beautiful viewpoint and showed us different kind of flowers and we also tasted fruits, sweet coffee beans and so much more on our hiking. Vijay is in no rush and you can really feel that he is a hiking guide because he loves simply loves it. The views were amazing and the time just passes by while you are having a great time. I would 10/10 recommend

Amazing hike at sunrise!

I did this hike at sunrise, which allowed great views of the surrounding mountains and tea plantations. Saneesh, our guide, was amazing. He organized an early-morning chai, explained a lot about the area and tea plantations, and helped us with finding a breakfast after the hike. Pickup was directly from the hotel, and we were dropped back at the hotel after the hike and breakfast.

Best experience in Munnar with Shiva!

We had a fantastic experience! Shiva was the best tour guide we could ask - Very kind, good energy, knowledgeable - we learned a lot about the tea plantation, munnar historyand also about flowers and plants. The tour is suitable for all ages, Shiva was very sensitive and adjusted the tour for us. Best experience in Munnar, don't miss!

Brilliant communication. Brilliant service. We arranged the half day hike through the tea plantation. Literally booked it the evening before. Picked up at hotel in one of those really cool Jeeps. Driven to the start of the trail. Met up with the guide who was absolutely-brilliant. Very knowledgeable about the plants and animals. Such good value, would definitely recommend.

Our half day hike through tea plantations was a fantastic experience. Our expert guide Rajamani knew everything about the hills and tea production. Everything was taken care of from pick up to drop off. I would highly recommend.

Amazing, cathartic trip. Not too tiering, starts not to early, also with hotel pickup. Raji is a great guide, with lots of experience, sense of humor and knowledge. He can name every plant on the trip if you are curious. I recomend it 1000%
