We had a fantastic food tour with Namrata! Everything we tried was so delicious, there was so much variety, and so much food. Namrata made sure that the venues were safe. We saw a lot of the city and the pick up at the hotel was perfect. Thank you for a great evening!

Excellent eating tour in Mumbai with Arina

We arrived in Mumbai that morning & wanted a tour that collected us from the hotel so we didn’t have to arrange transportation to a starting point being unfamiliar with the city. Arina was in reception before our arrival time. Excellent communication before we met. Our driver arrived shortly afterwards. Arina explains this is a carb heavy tour of the local street foods & we could share it between us & not feel obliged to eat it all as we would be trying about 10 different dish’s. Arina went above and beyond explaining everything we needed to know. Took us to many different locations to try different foods. Explaining everything as we went as she is passionate about food. Arina also gave us lots of information to help us with our onward journey through India & has kept in touch after our tour. We couldn’t recommend Arina enough. Excellent tour, excellent guide. Mumbai Street found tour

An excellent introduction to the street food scene in Mumbai, our guide Meherban introduced us to a wide range of foods from the area, many invented in Mumbai. He also gave us the history behind a number of foods and eateries. So good we went back for lunch the following day! Just one word of advice, don’t eat lunch! Fantastic food and a great guide!

The best street food your in the world.

We loved the food, the stories and the guide KP. Mumbai came alive with Kupesh. He was so informative about the history of food and politics in India. It’s our second time and it was great.

Mumbai mezze!

Outstanding. I think our guide couldn’t believe his luck when he heard we both liked ‘spicey’!! What a treat from beginning to end and we even saw how some things were made so can now try at home. Best food tour of our whole trip in India. KP our guide is ‘intuitive’ he reads people and as a result we had an evening of laughter and some of the best food. We booked the tour having already do the Mumbai at dawn trip with him and enjoyed his company so much, had to book another! He actually cancelled his evening plans to be able to do this tour with us! What a great guy!

A real taste of Mumbai

Had the most amazing food tour with KP. Saw lots of Mumbai and heard lots of its stories. What a place and what amazing food. KP was a great guide really understanding what we liked and tailored it to us. Finishing with ice cream on the beach was outstanding. We’ve been back to Mumbai and looked out some of the places since they were that good.

Great Khau Gully street food tour

Amazing puris were the start of our street food odyssey with Tvishi. We shared 5 flavoured puris with 2 vegetable curries and aamras. Mangoes are in season right now and their pulp makes aamras, a delicious antidote to the spicy veg curries. Tvishi did the queuing for us at Aram vada pav. Vada pav is Mumbai in a napkin. A spicy potato croquette in a bread bun with fiery red and green chutneys. Along the way, Tvishi told us the history of the immigrants who brought their cuisines to.Mumbai including the Parsis who set up their cafes. We tasted a range of foods from north to south of the country and finished with a cooling kulfi. Our driver, Dharamveer was great too. Thanks to both of you for making our first night in Mumbai unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour with Tvishi.

A must-do in Mumbai

Fantastic taste of Mumbai - our guide Pooja was friendly and knowledgeable, talking us through the history of the places we visited and the origins of the dishes we tried. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and it was a fun way to spend an evening (be sure to arrive ravenous!)

A proper local experience, great food good company!

Be prepared to eat for ever! What a great trip! Meherban, our guide, was just brilliant. His knowledge of Mumbai, India's history and of course food is exceptional and he was great company and a real character. He took great care of us and helped us really appreciate the Mumbai street food world we were moving through . We got to taste foods for the first time, and we saw a bit of this great crazy city we had not been to so far. Highly recommend this trip!

Fantastic food tour

We had such an interesting evening food tour of Mumbai with a great guide, Aman. He picked us up at our holiday and we spent 3.5 hours visiting 7 or 8 different eating places (we lost count) and tasting the food, talking to the chefs, and having photos and fun. Aman seemed to know everyone so we felt as though we had a personal invitation to each place and we were made to feel so welcome. He ordered and paid for all the food and we also had many free tasters which the owners were pleased to let us try. It was such a great way to learn about local dishes and try so many. We were really stuffed at the end and didn’t need dinner. While we walked or were driven between eating places Aman was such an interesting guy to talk to. He is born and bred locally so we could discuss aspects of Mumbai life and he pointed out so many things that were fascinating to learn about. It’s a great all round tour with wonderful food supplied by interesting people who are so pleasant to be with. Very good value for money and well worth doing.

Interesting Journey into India Street Food

Having spent 6 days in Mumbai before I still hadn’t eaten many of the dishes on this tour. The street food provided is good for locals when they need to be able to grab a fast meal and be on their way. Therefore most of the food is very heavy - think potatoes and bread with Indian spices. Pace yourself or you will not be able to eat all the dishes. Our favorites were the puff rice based snack, dosa (from south India) and kulfi. I think it would be easier to eat the food provided if a few more non-potato dishes were offered

Delicious Bombay bites

Perfect way to kick off our time in Bombay. Tasting all the delicious treats with our wonderful guide, Namrata. Wonderful to see all the different types of hidden food vendors that were safe and we’d never find on our own.

No Footprints all the way

We hired No Footprints to take us on the 5 senses tour. Namrata, our tour guide was very informative and informal, making us feel at home. We were taken to the historical places in South Mumbai and to loads of very interesting food places offering all the local food. If you are travelling to Mumbai, the 5 senses tour is a must do- and ask for Namrata ! :)

Excellent street food tour in Mumbai!

Nami our guide, was interesting, informative and helpful. We visited numerous food places, all chosen to provide excellent well cooked food with great concern for our wellbeing! We tried many different foods (too many to mention) but the highlights were the mixed puri, irani chai, cake and pav bhaji. We hadn’t heard of most of the dishes prior to the tour so Nami really helped us know what to choose during the rest of our stay in India. Thank you Nami!

Nami took us on a wonderful street food tour. We had a lovely variety of food both sweet and savoury. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Nami was really knowledgeable of all the food and destinations. All in all you won’t go hungry!

Eat Mumbai, walk Mumbai and have the best time!

This was an incredible, delicious and entertaining way to explore Mumbai. Pooja was an absolute gem! She is fun, knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. It was great getting to see Mumbai through her eyes, her experience and her favourite dishes. The conversation was never dull and she has such a deep knowledge of the city and its food! I really cannot recommend this tour enough! Just a piece of advise, reserve a lot of stomach space, you will need it!!! Everything is soooo delicious 🤤 It was a fantastic way to spend our first time in Mumbai, we look forward to coming back!

Love Mumbai street food

This tour with Namrata was terrific. She has a great love of both Mumbai and food. Everywhere she took us was excellent and by the end of the evening we both felt completely stuffed. I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone who loves food and enjoys experimenting

Could not recommend enough!

We had the most amazing time with Pooja Naik, she was a great guide explaining all of the spots we went to and giving the history of Mumbai and its food. The spots we went to were incredible with such a variety of food, all of which was great! Would highly recommend this trip for anyone in Mumbai!

Wonderful Tour

What an experience this was. A history of the food we were tasting and then the tasting itself. Quite filing too so come to the tour feeling hungry. Finally, our guide Pooja was not only very informative she also had a lively sense of humour which added to the evening as well.

A delicious and filling experience

Derrick gave us an excellent insight in the Bombay street food scene. The food was unlike what we have tried before while in India. It was delicious and filling and Derrick ensured we had a good selection of food before we were full to the brim. I would highly recommend that you have your breakfast early and skip your lunch otherwise you will not try and appreciate the food on offer. Derrick also ensured that the cooking methods such as the use of water did not disagree with our western metabolism. Would definitely recommend this experience as well as Derrick as he made it most memorable and provided us with photos and names of the food we tried.

Amazing bites in Mumbai!

Namrata is amazing and knows her food! She found us the best bites of Mumbai, each bite solving different problems. Some portable and fast, others slow and delicious, but each showing a slightly different historical facet of Mumbai.

Great experience

Krupesh was such a great guide! I enjoyed everything I tried and learned and laughed a lot along the way. Highly recommend this tour as a great way to experience Mumbai.

Tour guides were amazing!!! Such great and funny commentary, and the food we got to experience was one of a kind! And all of the jokes were stellar :) Would 100% go on another tour!

A great way to taste the real flavors Mumbai!

My husband and I had a wonderful time tasting so MANY amazing dishes with our guide, Meherban Irani, as we saw various neighborhoods of old Mumbai and learned the history of the restaurants and the food. Come hungry 😀!

Not to be missed street food tour of Mumbai

Tvishi took us on a wonderful 3-hour street food tour of south Mumbai, which included 6-7 stops at places that are popular with locals, mostly stalls and stands. The food was delicious at each and every locale and it was fun to stand in line with Mumbai commuters, sampling everything from snacks to dosas and desserts (yum, mango kulfi!). Tvishi and the driver picked us up at the hotel and dropped us back. She was full of information about the history and background of the foods, the eateries and Mumbai itself. The places selected were also chosen for their hygienic food preparation. It was perfect and we would highly recommend this tour if you have a free evening (we went from 5-8 pm, which was perfect) in Mumbai.

A great food tour in Mumbai!

One of the best things we did during our 3-week trip to India. Tvishi was an amazing and informative guide to Mumbai street food. The car and guide met us at our hotel for the private tour and drove us around to amazing stalls and stands in south Mumbai. Everything was delicious at the 6-7 stops on the food tour. They are careful about selecting places with great food but also hygienic food preparation. It was great fun to stand in line with local residents and taste the food. It got us out of the hotel restaurants and was well worth it. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience to try foods

Fabulous tour. I was anxious about eating the food and being safe but our guide assured us she would only take us to places that were safe and order food that was safe. We tried so many delicious new foods and went to 6 different places. We ate with locals. We also were out and about in Mumbai at night and got a feel for the town. Great way to experience Mumbai

Outstanding Street Food Tour!

As soon as we booked our cruise, I knew I wanted a street food tour of Mumbai. This tour could not have been any more perfect. Namrata was an excellent guide! She introduced us to a whole new world of culinary delights.

An evening with Heer is not to be missed

We spent a very memorable evening with the charming Heer, who gave us many Indian insights and introduced us to really tasty Mumbai specialities. It was an evening well spent.

Disappointing and no pani puri

Disappointing tour despite the press that I had read and in hindsight, it was quite expensive given the cost of the food and comparing to other tours that were much better value for money. I think this tour would be great for anyone who is very new to India and it's food and not adventurous to try street food on their own. My friends and I have all eaten many different foods across the world and some of our group had travelled to India before so our expectations were definitely not met. The most disappointing thing is we did not even enjoy some classic street foods such as pani puri, and in some cases we had eaten better versions of food we were provided (at much more popular places). We were also not notified that our start time had been changed (I only found out as I called the operator for another question) although we did really like our tour guides who were very engaging and shared interesting insights about Bombay and the culture and the drivers and cars were very comfortable.

Our guide ‘Heer’ was fantastic. So very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us a link to everything we experienced and even gave us help and suggestions for our next days activities. The food was divine. We didn’t want our experience to end!

A Worthwhile Experience

We had a great time on our food tour with Meherban! We tried 6-7 different types of food, all of which were delicious. Meherban was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and stalls we visited and would give us the history behind the restaurant or food. Don’t be worried that there won’t be enough to eat. By the end of the tour we were full and almost couldn’t finish the food at the last stop. This was a worthwhile adventure as we got to try street food that we may not otherwise have been exposed to during our time in Mumbai. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours which was about the perfect amount of time.

Don't miss this food tour!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Our guide Meherban was the best - early to pick us up, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and personable. This was more than just a food tour, this was a tour of Mumbai with a guide who knew so much about the local culture and history. He took us to the absolute best places, even now we still can't decide which dish was our favorite. We were truly sad to have the tour end although we were completely stuffed with amazing authentic Indian food. We were reminded just how great a guide Meherban was the next morning when we did a regular city tour and were underwhelmed with our guide (not a No Footprint guide). If you come to Mumbai this tour is not to be missed!

Awesome Experience

The food was amazing. Lights at the CS terminal was beautifully lit up for the Diwali celebrations. Thanks Batul ( our guide) for a very fantastic tour.

Traffic delays and quite expensive

It took me 2.5 hours to get from my hotel in Bandra to where the tour was meant to start in South Bombay. Despite leaving even earlier than the posted pickup time of 5 PM, by the time myself and the driver got there it was already dark. I totally understand that traffic is beyond anyone’s control, but if this is a known possibility in Mumbai on a Saturday evening, the tour should definitely start earlier. The delay really dampened my attitude starting the tour itself. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but the price of more than £150 GBP in my case was frankly too high for the type of food that I tasted. Had a nice time, but would be better off doing some research independently and exploring the area without a tour instead next time.
