Nice tour

Pooja was amazing friendly. She was waiting for me when I was late and I got a single tour. She told me everything about Dharavi and I felt very comfortable with her going through the place. Pooja has a good way of humor - a bit sarcastic but I loved it. Just do the tour with her. You will love it.

Our guide Poojs was excellent explaining the recycling work in one district where plastics from automobiles and other sources are broken down into usable plastics pellets to make other plastic products. Pooja was patient as we took many people photos. She also helped us distribute toiletries to the local women and school rulers, candies and t shirts to the local young children.

We enjoyed this experience visiting Dharavi slumdogs . We had a great time with our guide Bulgi. Unfortunately due to Mumbai immigration delays getting through the gate our tour was cut short but the time we had was well worth it

Life changing tour

Sahil was an amazing tour guide. He was so authentic and genuine, as well as very knowledgeable about Mumbai and the slum. He really took his time with us and made sure we saw and did everything we could. He made sure to interrupt for us what the locals were saying. We felt very safe. The experience was once in a lifetime, and one that has a place in my heart. If you get a chance to play cricket with the local kids, do it!

The ONE to choose for Slumdog!!

Doing this tour with Pooja was the best decision!! She really knows what she is talking about! Ashe is not learning a “script” to be shared… she feels proud to share with you about her community. While doing the tour with her I met Teo other friends who used a different tour operator and at the end they told me they had just seen two streets and their experience was not comparable to the one we had. I give her 12 out of 10!! Thank you Pooja! Great job!! It was awesome!

Amazing!

We did the Private Slumdog Millionaire tour in Dharavi today and our Tour guide was Pooja. She was simply superb. She showed us the entire tour very enthusiastically and explained everything in great detail. It was a wonderful experience to do the tour with Pooja. Her command over the language was really good. She made us feel very comfortable and answered all our questions with patience and honesty.

Our overall experience on this tour was an amazing, eye opening and was very interesting. We saw more than what we hoped for and have learnt so much about the way of life in the slums. Pooja stole the show for us she was absolutely amazing. Such a lovely girl inside and out and I really do hope her dreams and aims come true. Pooja knew everything about the slums and answered all questions and was very informative. We saw and met so many lovely people. We were shown all the workers and how things were made etc. We were picked up on time and dropped off in a car with AC. I really wanted to have henna done and Pooja arranged this for me. The henna is absolutely amazing completed by the lovely Nasrah. We loved this experience and would 1000% recommend.

A MUST do!

An excellent tour carried out by our guide Pooja. She was very knowledgeable, and took her time to show us the different parts of the "slum", gave us in-depth description of the businesses and helped us interact with the people we met. I would love to do another tour with her. Our driver, Mohammed Hassan was very calm and drove well in the chaotic Mumbai roads.

It was an amazing and new experience to me as I did’t know that were many producing industries in the slums, our guide Pooja was very informative and she lives and work in the slums as this makes her really passionate about her job.

Worth it

I had my solo trip to Mumbai and after being in Favelas and Soweto, wanted to visit Drhavi! It was different experience, being supported by one of the best tour guides that I ever had! It was young, positive and very intelligent girl, called Pooja! She showed me the slum from inside and help me to love it :) Absolutely worth it

Fascinating - Pooja is an excellent guide

We spent 2.5 h peeking into a world we didn't know existed and one we could not have met on our own. Our guide Pooja, who comes from Dharavi, exposed us to a beehive of activity in a self-contained area disguised as a slum,. I highly encourage you to take a guided tour with this company, and ask for Pooja to be your guide. She is charming, smart, easy going, open to all your questions and a wonderful ambassador for Dharavi.

Incredible tour visit in the slum of Dhivali

Pooja was our guide for a 3 hours tour of Dhivali slum. We had the opportunity to see the whole commercial part of the slum with all the complete explanations of our wonderful guide. She was really friendly and open to answer any questions. She interacted with us all the time by asking questions (for example to guess the turnover made by the slum per year) at each new place we went. Pooja's company, also allowed us to take pictures and interact with the people who live there and who are always smiling. I really recommend Pooja or his friend Mac to visit the slum as they are nice people and doing their job perfectly. Thanks again for everything! 😊

Great Tour. Fantastic experience

Pooja was fantastic as a local guide. She made the tour 10x better than expected. We felt super safe at all times. She showed us through all sorts of work/production roads inside of the area. At the end we had a great lunch in a local restaurant.

In all honesty, I was initially very apprehensive about this tour, but it exceeded all of my expectations. Pooja, our tour guide (born and raised in the slums), was so knowledgeable and friendly throughout the entire tour. I found the whole experience eye-opening and it was dealt with very sensitively. Super tour, our guide Yash Babu was very informative and and knowledgeable about the local area and an all round gentleman. This tour was, by far, one of the best and most interesting tours I have been on anywhere in the world. My guide, Pooja, was phenomenal--she knows Dharavi forward and backward and was able to show me how the local residents live their lives. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing Dharavi from a group of Dharavi residents themselves.
