Mumbai Tour with Nik and Rafik

Had an absolutely amazing time touring Mumbai with Nikhil, who goes by Nik and Rafik our driver! We felt incredibly safe throughout the day and Nik amended the schedule so that we could see the sites that we wanted to see and he allowed us plenty of time for shopping. He also didn't let us get taken advantage of and the markets by letting us know how much certain an item should cost etc. This was by far our best Tour in India. We did similar tours and other cities, and honestly wished that Nik and Rafik could have been our guides there. Cannot say enough good things about the two of them. Would request both of them again on future tours to Mumbai. It made a really great start of our trip and I would highly recommend this tour-- those two in particular as your guides for Mumbai!

Amazing, and authentic experience. Nik was amazing.

Nik was a very good and knowledgeable guide. He stopped at every sightseeing destination and told us every detail there was to know. I had already explored mumbai for a few days but still learned so much from this incredible experience. Definitely recommend Nik if possible. I already enjoyed my trip to mumbai but this made it even better😁

Great tour experience with Nic

Nik was a great guide, and very friendly, showing us many key sites around the city. Hassan was our driver, always staying nearby for us. I also wanted to add on some street food options and Nik was able to squeeze it in. This was our last of 4 days in Mumbai, and was probably the highlight of our time, since we were able to ask so many questions about the history and how things are locally. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend.

Top notch guides

Sahil and Ash were top notch. They accommodated everything we asked for. Sahil was very informative. Ash was quick to pick us up when we were ready and kept the car clean and cool. I felt like we had a behind-the-scenes tour. Amazing.

Great guide, Great experience, We felt like we really "saw" Mumbai in just a day!

We were in Mumbai for work and had one day to see the highlights, and this was exactly the tour for us. First and foremost, Neha was an incredible tour guide -- her knowledge, her joyful personality, and patience in making sure we were all safe, comfortable, and cared for, was absolutely wonderful and made the trip. And our driver! What a pro! I'd be scared to drive in this town, and he was cool, calm, and collected (and safe!) the whole time. We were off to a very very strong start -- the railstation was incredible, we could have sat there and people-watched for hours! The market was bustling with activity; the smells were just incredible (in a good way!). Those were probably our two favorite stops -- the temple was nice and serene, and I wish the clothes washers were still out and working by the time we got there, but everything can't be picture-perfect when you're trying to see it all! We also added on the Elephanta Caves which are can't-miss in our books -- absolutely incredible to see carvings and storytelling that old! (Very crowded tho, wasn't expecting that!) All in all, would 100% recommend to anyone, and would go again.

Excellent experience!!!

My friend and I flew in for a business trip and spent Sunday on this tour. What a perfect way to experience Mumbai before starting the work week! Our guide Kavita was excellent explaining the historical background of each place we visited and I feel I learned so much about India and Mumbai in such a short amount of time. If you’re short on time and want to get in as much as you can on a Mumbai trip, I highly recommend going on this tour. Our driver Sultan was also great and made us feel safe while moving to different locations around the city.

Great tour from Cruise Port, met us on time, communicated in advance to reassure!

It was a hot day but the vehicle was an SUV with good AC, walking was included on tree covered streets. Guide was very friendly, knowledgable and on time. Would book again and this time I would include the Slum tour. We did a slum tour the next day and it was amazing and eyeopening. We are in our 60's and the pace was great and we asked to get out and walk numerous times. She accommodated our every request and tour took around 5 hours. Great job!

Great tour guides!

My partner and I were visiting Mumbai for the first time for a wedding. We chose this tour due to the good reviews. We had an amazing time! For the amount of time we had and the amount of places they took us, we are very lucky! We had a tour guide and a driver so we could hope out and explore the sights while the driver navigated the busy areas. This was very efficient and convenient. The gentlemen who showed us the city were knowledgable, friendly, and easy to talk to. We shared snacks and listened to Coldplay together on the way back to the hotel! Thank you!

Great tour!

The tour guide Aryan and the driver were very professional . They were knowledgeable and knew all of the historical and current information about each port. They also provided cold beverages and information about a great place to have lunch. All in all a great day in Mumbai thanks to these wonderful people.

Mumbai by Private Car

Nick was our guide. We met him at the Green Gate as instructed. For clarification, the cruise ship docks in port and a shuttle takes you out to the Green Gate. Nick was waiting with a sign with our name and promptly guided us to the vehicle. The driver came to pick us up and we got in the back and Nick got in the front with the driver. Our tour was amazing, the vehicle was comfortably air conditioned. Nick pointed out landmarks and their significance as we drove. We arrived at our 1st stop Dobi Ghant and due to Nick's connections we were able to climb to the top of the roof in order to obtain amazing views for pictures. The driver circled around and came to pick us up when we were done. Next stop was the Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel that was across the street. The driver dropped us off and we got to take great pictures of the gateway as well as the hotel. Nick guided us across the street and we went into the Taj Hotel and learned about the history of both. Oncr done we were picked up in front of the hotel and taken to see the railway station. What an impressive building. Nick explained the history as well as the way its functions in todays world. The driver picked us up and we proceeded to the Cricket Fields. Once their there are a great deal of photo opportunities with the University of Mumbai, the cricket teams, the high court building as well as the clock tower. Feom there we went to the old town British settlements and viewed the colonial era architecture. We went to Marine Drive and stopped for photos along the way. Next we went to the hanging gardens and the childdrens gardens located next to each other. We proceeded to our last stop which was the hone of Ghandi that now serves as a museum. Their are 3 dloors dedicated to telling his life story. Very impressive museum with lots of photos and displays, highly recommended. Overall the tour was great. It provided a very good overview of the city it's history, culture and vibe.

An Amazing Day in Mumbai

Shuaib Khan was SUCH a great tour guide. He took us to see the best sights in Mumbai in a clean comfortable car with a driver. The Dobi Ghat, Crawford Market, Ghandi museum and Jain Temple were highlights. BUT the best part of the day was the delicious chicken nargisi lunch we ate at a local Mumbai restaurant. Wow! Shuaib was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the trip really easy and fun. I recommend this tour for singles, friends, families, or anyone that wants to explore Mumbai with a local.

Great private night time tour.

Neha and Rafiq were excellent tour guides. They were very friendly. Neha is very knowledgeable and Rafiq is an excellent driver. I book this private tour last minute, not sure exactly what to expect. However, I am glad I did. The food and tour of Mumbai was great, no small part due to Neha and Rafiq. Thank you.

Great tour with great tour guide and driver.

Our guide Sahil was terrific. He was easy to understand and went everywhere with us. He took pictures of us using our cameras and taught me a few things about taking videos and pictures. The outside laundry and the train station was two of my favorite places, but there were many. Ashfat was a great driver. Both men were polite, kind and true gentlemen. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

Great half day private tour

A great half-day tour packed with all the must-sees for Mumbai. A very enriching experience with my knowledge tour guide and highly recommended if you have limited time but want to have a good sampling of Mumbai!

Great tour guide with incredible food!!

Kavita was incredible. She was so knowledgeable about Mumbai. She took us everywhere and was very thorough and thoughtful throughout. I was so impressed by her! She took us on a great street food tour, figuring it out on the fly on how to make it vegan, and we were so full by the end I felt like they could just roll me back to the hotel. Everything was SO delicious. Although we were in Mumbai during an unusual heatwave Kavita did everything she could to make sure we had water and breaks in a car with a/c. We were very grateful. Highly recommended.

Ali is the best guide!

Very interesting and full of information experience. Guide Ali was really pleasant and friendly, his knowledge and confidence are amazing. For us, guided tour was very good and useful introduction to Indian culture. I highly recommend.

Private Mumbai Sightseeing Tour (Traveller's Choice Award Winner) Good afternoon, I really liked the tour of Mumbai, my guide - Kovida, a very pleasant young girl, told about the most interesting sights, despite the fact that my knowledge of the language is lame, we calmly used the translator on the phone. The day flew by in a friendly atmosphere, thank you very much!

Tour was fine, Mumbai is disgusting

Good tour of a filthy, crowded, polluted city. I was appalled at how dirty Mumbai was. I'd never go back. Stray dogs in the street (along with piles of their waste), plastic and trash everywhere, and street food vendors who touch EVERYTHING with their bare hands, then touch your food.

Day in Mumbai

This was a wonderful day 1 tour through all the sites of Mumbai. Ashab was a great tour guide. He was able to answer all of our questions about the city. I would recommend this tour and tour guide to anyone.

Great private sightseeing tour!

We booked a private tour covering the Elephanta caves tour, sightseeing tour, religious tour and Shopping/markets tour. The planning and organization was truly professional. Our guide Sahil was very nice, highly knowledgable and experienced, though on Elephanta the tour included an excellent local guide. The overall tour was amazing and fine-tuned to our wishes. With Sahil you are in good company. He did everything to get the maximum out of the program. The separate driver was excellent as well, with pick-up and drop-off at our hotel.

Comfortable Experience

My tour guide, Neha, and my driver, Sultan, were professional and able to answer my questions I had about the city and sites we were visiting. Neha is a great conversationalist and treated the tour like we were visiting her home, she was very welcoming! She also helped me haggle for some souvenirs, showing how it’s like to be a local, it was a great perspective!

A Must in Mumbai

Our guide, Ravi, took us on an excellent tour of the main sites of Mumbai with his driver, Shamsher. They picked us up on time, navigated the traffic well and Ravi was very interesting in all he said and a great companion for the day. We would all recommend a tour with him.

Wonderful tour by Neha and Sultan

Neha and Sultan met me at the airport and immediately helped me feel welcome and comfortable. Neha gave fascinating insights into each of the sights we visited, and Sultan was always nearby with the car to pick us up. What a wonderful way to see the city - thank you Neha and Sultan ☺️

Perfect day in Mumbai

It was a great way to see and experience Mumbai in 1 day. Everything was well organized, the hotel pickup was on time. Amazing Private Dawn Tour

We took the Private Dawn Tour with Sam! What a brilliant guide along with his friendly driver. Extremely knowledgable and happy to answer any of our questions, extremely good English and showed us some real great sights, my highlights being the fish market and vegetable market. It was a last minute decision to go for a half day city tour but I am so glad I did it. Kavita and Hassan were very professional, they brought me around South Mumbai to see the sights and places. See a Lot, Learn a Lot

This tour gives a fantastic overview of Mumbai in just one day. Our driver, JQ did a great job navigating and our tour guide, Neha, was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. She gave great insights at each stop and her love for the city really shined through.

Neha was an attentive and knowledgeable guide who patiently answered all of my many questions. She knows and loves her city!Samhshera navigated us through traffic expertly and was very helpful in every way— including taking great photos!

Tiresome Admin but a Great Trip from Magical Mumbai

5 * for the trip , but 3-4* for the booking process, so 4* overall. I know I didn't book my Trip until the previous evening thru TripA , but was offered the wanted 1100 pick up from my local hotel, The Leela. I noted the warning that there might be an additional 2,000 IR for North Hotels, for already quite an expensive trip at 6,500 IR (solo) . The booking was made, payment made, hotel pick up recorded and accepted without comment. All good. But.... 45 mins before the scheduled pick up I was texted to say there would be a 3 HOUR delay to my booked 1100 pick up and I was then advised I also had to pay the 2000 IR supplement in cash to the driver . This was tiresome and my plans and cash had to be arranged at short notice. To avoid this I should have been advised of the cash supplement DURING the check out process - not difficult to identify a selected hotel being in the 'supplement' zone (a one night tourist is unlikely to know which Magical Tour Zone the hotel is in). 3 hour delay? Ok late booking day before but should have been advised of likely delay earlier than just 45 mins before. BUT put that annoyance to the side, and the important part - the Trip itself was EXCELLENT with Guide NIKHIL and Driver SHAMSTER, expertly driving a brand new vehicle (that day!) thru nightmare traffic . Shamster did a great job - kind and patient (the only Mumbai driver I have seen who doesn't blast his horn all day). No Stress Shamster. ! NIKHIL the Guide was excellent - great English , polite , patient with a dithering tourist (me) and helpful throughout. Took me to all the expected sites and never a sense of being rushed. He is a great ambassador for Magical Mumbai - thank you Nikhil!

Fantastic tour guide and driver!

We had an evening tour at 19:00 with a tour guide called Nick. It was a great tour, Nick was very informative and he had a great sense of humour. We learnt so much and saw everything we hoped to see as we only had one day in Mumbai. We love you Nick, great job!!

It focused on the working aspects of the city rather than the usual temples, mosques and churches. The best parts of the tour were the Dhoby experience and the Slum Tour. Nikhil was informative and knowledgeable, able to answer all our questions. The surprising Slum Tour was guided by a delightful young lady called Phuna (?) who grew up in the slums. It was unexpectedly most interesting and I wish we had longer. Perhaps less time in the gardens and a longer slum tour would be better. Anyway, a great days tour. Highly recommend. “. Cheers Ken

A whole lot of sightseeing in a short time

This was a great trip we chose to start our tour at 7am so it was nice and quiet travelling around however some places we had to wait to open

India a different holiday

I liked India, we did Mumbai, Agra and Jaipur taking in the Golden Triangle, it was a very different holiday due to the culture, the luxury and extreme poverty. Our Mumbai guide was superb, a young lady, who had just graduated, she spoke very good English and was a great guide, very informative, we’d highly recommend her.

I had a great time on the tour seeing the sights of the city and getting insight from a local. Neha was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Rafik navigated the Mumbai traffic with ease and without drama.

Great tour of South Mumbai

This was an excellent tour. Kavita did a great job explaining the history of each stop and sharing Mumbai information. She was very pleasant & patient allowing me to see things at my own pace. JQ was a great driver. He was always ready & waiting for our next stop and making me feel safe in Mumbai traffic.

Great Tour of Mumbai

I had a great day out. Saw some of the highlights of Mumbai as well as other recommendations by the driver and guide. Very informative and friendly, and always water available during the hot day. I asked a lot of questions, and they had all the information and more to help me understand the history and culture. I would definitely advise if you're planning a tour of Mumbai, to book with Magical Mumbai Tours.

Excellent and enjoyable Mumbai highlights

Excellent tour of Mumbai top sights with knowledgeable guide (Ashraf) and good driver (Rafik). All very enjoyable except for Mumbai traffic but that's to be expected. Definitely recommend if like me you were short of time. Note better to do from central Mumbai as expensive extra cost from north side.

A fun adventure with a lot of laughter, great energy and very informative

I had the most wonderful time on the tour. It gave me a real taste of Mumbai and my guide Ashab and driver Rafique were so much fun, super informative, engaging and excellent at what they do! They’re a real credit to the company and when I next come to Mumbai I will ask for them specifically. The tour was a great adventure and we had a lot of laughs along the way. (I was very impressed with Rafique’s driving amongst the hectic Mumbai traffic). As an English woman travelling on my own, they made me feel very comfortable and safe. I look forward to my next excursion with them!

A wonderful day led by wonderful people

I had the most special day! Kavita and Jainul picked me up from the airport and were by my side the whole day. Both of them were wonderful and navigated me through the city with ease. They showed me some delicious local food and explained the history of the city well, with plenty of good humour too. They were both young and fun to spend the day with. Mehull guided me at the Kanheri Caves, and was excellent at spotting the wildlife and explaining the Buddhist and Jain traditions. A lovely man who is so passionate about the history of the National Park and the wildlife. A magical day, with thanks to these three wonderful people! Would recommend.

From Saudi with love

This was a great way to cover the majority of Mumbai's landmarks in a day and get a feel for the history and they way of life for this great and humble nation. Our tour guids Neha and Nikhil and the driver Hasan were all exceptional. They were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and extremely social. We trully enjoyed getting to know them at a personal level. All in all it's is highly recommended 👌
