Fascinating insight to life in Dharavi

The Dharavi tour was the most memorable part of my two days of t trips around Mumbai. My guide was Mayur and he took me all over showing me the residential and commercial areas, giving me a glimpse into how the residents live and work, go to school, shop the market and ride the metro. The plastic recycling business was fascinating, as was the Dharavi leather works. I highly recommend!

Dharavi slum tour with family and friends

We were picked up at the hotel and then met by Raul. Really enjoyed the tour it was a real eye opener, and Raul was really insightful, and was very thorough with his information through out the tour

Dharavi Slum tour

We visited the Dharavi slum with our very informative guide Aklam, Dharavi born and bred. While it is an incredibly hard life lived by the residents of the slum, they are proud of the community and the way that it works. I was concerned that our visit was voyeuristic, however Aklam reassured us that it is necessary for tourists to see. Youngs Tours were efficient in communication and organisation of the tour. Highly recommend.

We had Rahul as a guide through Dharavi and he was wonderful! So very flexible with our schedule and showed up the best parts of Dharavi to give us a full understanding of the location. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Mumbai and who wants to see a different aspect of life.

Slum Tour Mumbai

We found out about this tour via google when we arrived at the Three Wave Café. When we called them they organised a spontaneous tour within minutes and send us Rahul as a Guide. Since my friend and I are interested into photography he respected this and let us take the time and locations where we wanted to take pictures. He was so patient and kind during the whole tour. He also is a local in the area and explained us everything about the Slum and the local life. I had one of the best and most fun experiences with Rahul during my India Trip. Highly recommend him to take a glimpse into the Slums of Mumbai. Part of his revenue gets also invested into a small school in the area.

Unforgettable experience with an incredible guide

Rahul was absolutely incredible. We are 2 young girls who were a little nervous and we felt very safe with him. We also saw many different parts of the trade and the residences in the slums. Rahul grew up here and is very knowledgeable about everything, including when you can and cannot take a picture. If you are in Mumbai you HAVE to do this tour. Unbelievable, I will tell my grandkids about this.

We had an amazing experience with Mayur. We walked two hours through Dharavi, he showed us commercial and residential district and explained everything from plastic recycling till educational system. Mayur is smart and interesting with a big smile on his face.

AMAZING TOUR - Raul is the best!

This was my favorite day in Mumbai! Raul showed us around Dharavi and we had the best time exploring the neighborhood and learning about how people live there. We tried new south Indian foods, learned about pottery making and saw a wedding party! Raul is really knowledgable and I felt very safe. 100% would recommend!

Amazing tour - fully recommend

One of the best things I’ve done since being in India, our tour guide Kirtan was amazing, such great knowledge of the slums and all round great guy, so informative, fully recommend taking this tour!! Took us to his families house who were all so welcoming, it takes approximately 2 hours and is worth every penny.
