Our experience from the time we were picked up till we were dropped off was the best we experienced during our entire journey. The tour guide and the driver were cordial, pleasant and friendly. The tour guide Neha was knowledgeable and made us feel safe as we visited the many sites in nuzzling Mumbai. I have no hesitation in recommending Neha and magical Mumbai tours

Chaotic and wonderful Mumbai.

This was a very good tour, we really enjoyed it. The female guide, Joya was very good. The only downside was that we didn’t receive our tickets so it was a bit fraught at the port trying to find the operator that Viator had book us with.

Tour wasn't at all as described

This was listed as a private tour, I signed up with my travel buddy. It did not turn out that way. An unknown couple was added to make 4 persons in the group when we arrived at the pick up location. Our tour guide told us she was a college student and this was the 2nd tour she was leading She had absolutely no commentary. To learn anything about the places we stopped at we had to continually ask questions. We stopped at 3 stores we were not interested in goods offered - we had to ask to leave. Poor tour.

Fantastic time in Mumbai

Sahil was an excellent guide. He had a driver with him so we had Sahil’s complete undivided attention. His knowledge was extensive and he was extremely flexible and attuned to our needs.

Bad Day in Mumbai

the last minute bate and switch from private tour with guide and driver to a old city bus with no PA system and 15 other couples. Tour was to start at 9AM, we waited till 1040am so other couples could be added. It was to be a 4 hr tour and at 4PM the guide said we still had another 2 hours to go. WE booked and paid for a private tour in Aug. due to my limited mobility issues and paid more for that than a group bus tour. The tour company claimed they had to use a bus because they did not have enough tour guides which is no excuse and they did not notify anyone in advance

A good one day snapshot of Mumbai

The Elephants Cave was a very interesting experience and the city tour also provided a good snapshot of Mumbai. The cave tour could have been a little shorter and the train shuttle would have been a good option on the island. More time for a lunch or snack break would also have been an improvement.

A great short tour of Mumbai !

I spent a very nice moment with Neha as a guide and Hassan as a driver ! It was a private tour of 4h, only me and them in a car. They picked me up at my hotel with the car, and since the first second it was already a very good atmosphere! They were very nice and attuned ! We went in many nice famous places of Mumbai, with nice views and nice atmosphere. Train Station, Garden, Museum, Sea, Market, etc. Neha explained me very well each place, and took amazing pictures of me ! Also Hassan took very nice pictures of me and was very kind and helpful. Full Day Tours of Mumbai

Such a wonderful experience with this tour company. To be honest, I was bit worried they might not show up because I didn't get much communication through Whatsapp when I initially reached out. They just said it was all set, but no email came through, so I was bit unsure. However, day of the tour, any worries were put to rest. Our tour guide, Sahil, and driver, Jainul, showed up on time for the tour. We did a private tour, just myself and my parents (who actually grew up in Mumbai) and Sahil had so much knowledge. We learned so many great stories about Mumbai and saw so many wonderful places. They were very professional throughout the whole day. Don't hesitate to book with them!

Amazing tour!

What a day! Picked up from the pier on time in a big clean van. The driver was an expert, which in Mumbai is essential. Our guide, Mahill was simply amazing. Open and forthcoming with all of our questions. He knew everything about everything. He had a plan for the day and was still able to take us to some different stops that we wanted to see. He knew the ins and outs of everywhere! The laundry, the slum, we felt safe and not lost. Don’t see Mumbai without Mahill! Our best excursion by far.

Mumbai tour

Despite it was raining for a while we have enjoyed very much the tour. Sahil, our guide, was just great. I do recommend the tour provider and especially Sahil as guide of choice.

Great trip

Really interesting day excursion of Mumbai including the slum area. Our guide Chirag was an excellent companion throughout the day. His English was very good and he had a great deal of information for us at every stop. Driver Nassir also did a good job negotiating the Mumbai traffic and parking nearby at every location. Highly recommended trip.

Best Tours in India so far

We are in India from past two weeks, we met Sam, our best guide of India so far, he picked us up from our hotel and started with the slum tour, which was amazing and eye opening expirence. And then we started with city sightseeing tour, we loved both the tours, dhobhi ghat was the highlight of the tour, i would recommend this tour for everyone who is looking for private tours in mumbai. They have everything to do in Mumbai.

Do not use ! They just booked us an Uber taxi for the day

I booked a guided private day tour for when our ship docked into Mumbai , upon arrival at the green gate it took ages to find the representative, when we did they asked us to hold for 5 mins for the driver, it took nearly 30 mins in 35c heat for the driver to finally arrive. We got in the car and it became noticeable very quickly that the driver spoke very little English and wasn’t able to tell us anything about the tourist sights we were visiting. Each stop was only enough time for a photograph Entrance fees were supposed to be included, but when we got to Ghandi museum we had to pay our selves to get in ! Some of the included sights were missed out completely and when challenged the driver just shrugged Half way through the tour when looking at the rear of the car I noticed an UBER sticker on the back and with the little english that the driver did speak he explained that the company had booked him for the day to show us the sights, he did not know that entrance fees were included and we would have to take it up with the company Please book yourself with another company or just booked yourself an Uber driver for the day and save the money

Amazing Mumbai

We had a great trip in Mumbai with Magical Mumbai Tours. The city is very in your face but it’s so very interesting. The markets were great to visit. Definitely a highlight. The Hanging Gardens could have been given a miss as it felt like we were stuck in traffic to see a fairly dilapidated garden. I appreciated that that they may be more relevant to the Indian people but I feel there were probably more interesting things to see. The slum tour, whilst abbreviated, were very interesting as well and well delivered.

Wonderful day!

Our guide, Sam, really made our day. The 4 of us spent 7 hours with him and he spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable and informative and protective of us. He took us for a 3 hour walking tour of the slums. What an eye-opener! Then we had a 4 hour tour of the city, catching many sights, including the open-air laundry. An incredible day, because of the amazing city and our wonderful guide. He did so well, we hired him for 6 hours the next day, as well.

What a clean and beautiful city!

The skyline of Mumbai is impressive. The guide also took us to Gandhi house, which we really enjoyed. The Gateway to India was very impressive. The guide was also the driver but managed very well. We were picked up and returned on time.

Bombay Sightseeing Tour

Me and my wife enjoyed a lot with sam, our tour guide, we were on a shore excursion to India, everything was perfect and we enjoyed a lot in our whole tour, Sam explained us each and everything, he also took some great photos at major tourist spots like a pro. We are definitely going to use this guys again on our next trip to Mumbai.

Best Tour Operator in Mumbai

Me and my wife were travelling on a cruise and we mailed them and got a quick response and the further communication was over WhatsApp. Our guide Sam was the best guide on our India stop till now, with fluent English and excellent knowledge about the history of the city. I would be using them again in Mumbai, cheers to Sam and best of luck for your bright future.

A fabulous experience!!

Our guide, Yash, and our driver, Saddam picked us up at the port. Before we started out they outlined what we would see and asked if we agreed. We agreed and from there on it was 4 to 5 hours of constant guiding and telling us about Mumbai. We were the only people on the tour. Their English was superior. They took us to the Ghandi house, through markets, to the Dobi Ghat Laundry, the cricket grounds, the tower of silence, past train stations, into the hanging gardens and more. At each site Yash always got out with us to further explain what we were seeing. They were really superior and we would highly recommend them and this tour!

<p>Our tour guide works for Magical Mumbai Tours and was wonderful at showing us the highlights of Mumbai. Since we had seen much of the city on a pervious visit, he connected us with another guide who leads tours of the Dharavi Slum and we spent two hours with him in the slum. Both guides were wonderful and gave us insight into the working of Dharavi since they live there. What a wonderful gift to spend time with these bright and hard working young men.</p>

Hectic 8 hours in Mumbai

We did an 8 hour day tour with Magical Mumbai as a shore excursion We disembarked the ship earlier than expected and my group waited patiently for our guide to get our bus organised. Sam was busy organising all of the other tour groups that day and we missed out and ran late all day after that. Unlike all the other tour companies I used elsewhere on the cruise, this one was not ready early and we wasted over an hour in the morning waiting to get started. This set us back for the entire day and we were all disappointed. The bus was small and cramped for our group of 11. I had to ask for water to be provided. There was no microphone on the bus so we could not hear what Sam was saying. He did not appear to be highly organised or have a brief to follow for the itinerary we followed. He was constantly on the phone. As another group member has mentioned even the driver was on the phone and was asked to get off the phone whilst driving!! We were in and out of the bus all day, darting here and there through the hectic traffic. This was not a well run organised tour but we got to see a lot of the city, and then drove for ages to do a walking tour of the Dharavi Slum which was expected to go for 2 hours. Upon nearly losing two of our group in the first 5 mins whilst walking to the slum we tried to keep close together. We saw most of the small industries set up in the slum which provide an income for those families, and we pulled the tour short and elected to leave early. This meant we had to walk about a kilometer in the baking heat along the side of the busy road with traffic hurtling along beside us to meet our bus. It was a poor end to a long day and we were relieved to get back to the ship on time. The city of Mumbai is one massive traffic jam, with millions of people leading their busy lives. We came, we saw and we left. Won't be going back in a hurry!!!

Disappointing

This was a privately booked trip for two, and should have been fantastic, but fell far short. The taxi was in poor condition, but the main problem was the guide who was disinterested. We never got to see the Gateway to India, we may have passed the Taj Mahal Hotel, but it was never pointed out, the cricket ground was promised, but forgotten about and when I asked if we could see the over-crowded trains it was just a flat no. The guide then seemed unhappy with the tip, which he definitely did not earn or deserve. I would never use this company again. When we compared trips, back at the ship, others had had a far better experience.

Awful tour in every way

The tour was one of the worst I have ever experienced in my travels. It started with a 20 year old guide(Sam) who was ill trained. He carried on personal conversations and we constantly had to tell him to speak to the whole group. He was also on his phone constantly and even the driver was on his phone while driving in terrible traffic. The guide also lost track of time despite the fact we told him we must get back to the ship. We had to walk about 40 minutes in over 90 degree temperature to get to our van since it was late and it was not parked in a convenient place .Stay away from this tour!!!

Good itinerary not enough time

We had a full day tour booked with Magical Mumbai on the day our ship called into Mumbai. Going through immigration at Mumbai, the first Indian port on our cruise, went smoothly and we arrived at the Green Gate within half an hour of getting off the ship. When our guide Samir (aka Sam) turned up, even though we were all gathered ready to start the tour, he said the bus was ordered for 9 am, the arranged start time, and we could not start the tour earlier. At the end of the day, when we ran short on time and had to cut short the itinerary, an earlier start would have have given us valuable time. Hence some flexibility with the start time would have been great. So while we watched and waited in the rising heat for 9 am to come around, Samir was busy organising other passengers with their tours. We later discovered he was the tour manager. The bus was just adequate with air conditioning and a narrow aisle. Bottle of water provided. Lunch was not included in the cost of the tour. Mumbai was crazy, hectic, noisy, lots of traffic but surprisingly not smelly (except for some parts of the slum) The tour started at the railway station and Marine Drive with stops for photos. Then we moved to the Malabar Hills, Ghandi museum, the hanging gardens, Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel (not in any order). Lunch for some in the group was at Leopald Cafe (own choice and cost), but we chose to try the chicken naan at McD. Chance to do some quick shopping on this street, and I mean quick. After lunch it was off to the dhoby ghat laundry and then after what seemed like a long drive, to the Dharavi slum. Activities in the commercial section of the slum - plastics recycling, sweat shop clothing and luggage; in the residential section - families happily getting on with life and Dharavi leather. As we were running short on time, the tour had to be cut short, and we were walked back a long distance in the heat and noise and busy traffic to where the bus was parked. From here it took an hour to get back to the port. Samir was constantly on the phone throughout the day. He was obviously a capable guide but distracted by the regular phone calls. What he did tell us about Mumbai and its sights when he was able was interesting and informative. Clearly a few areas where improvement can be made before Magical Mumbai comes close to earning an excellent rating.

Although this trip had the potential...

<p>Although this trip had the potential to be really good and afforded us the chance to see so much in the city, it was spoiled by the very pushy guide that we had, Raj. We had made it clear at the start that we did not want to extend the tour to visit the the Dharavi slums, the spice market or the many shops that he obviously was getting a commission from, however he took us there anyway. He accompanied us into the Taj Mahal Hotel where we went for a drink and proceeded to spoil it by telling us about all the family members he had to support financially and that he would receive no payment from the tour company. At the end of the trip we went to give him a tip of 25 and he started arguing that we should be paying him at least double that because he had taken us to all the extra places. Suffice to say the trip did not end on the best of terms</p>

A Day to remember

Took this tour off a cruise ship. We were met at the port green gates and introduced to Sahil our tour guide, we waited a short while for our driver,Nasim We visited the beautiful buildings in the city, beach area, the house where Ghandi stayed when he lived in Mumbai, a lovely park with lots of English plants. Sahil was a very knowledgable guide and extremely pleasant young man. Our driver, Nasim was expert at negotiating the busy traffic and we always felt safe. We were handed over to Sunny who took us on a walking tour of the slums, he was also excellent and it was a fascinating experience to see how others live and make a living from recycling. We then continued out tour with Sahil and Nasim visiting the outdoor laundry and gateway to India. A thoughly enjoyable day and we would certainly use the guys again should we be lucky enough to return Mumbai. Thank you Sahil, Nasim and Sunny.

Very knowledgable, we learned so much and felt very safe on the tour and during our drive around the city. DID NOT SHOW UP

We waited outside the cruise terminal for an extra 40 minutes past the time booked for our arrival on Nov.19th. Calls to the phone number given were never answered. We eventually hired our own taxi. We sent Magical Mumbai Tours an email from the ship asking for a refund. We have not received a response so I am now attempting to get a refund from Viator who collected the money.

<p>6 of us did this tour from a cruise ship. It was excellent, the city tour was interesting and we saw all the major sites but the highlight was the Slums tour. Sam our tour guide was exceptional he was knowledgeable, shared stories and had a great sense of humour. The Slums tour was so interesting, learning how the people are so industrious in their recycling businesses was eye opening. The only suggestion we have is, the tour would of been even better if Sam could of been in our van as we traveled through the city.</p>
