He knew his way around this chaotic city and could share so much history with us as well as how things work in Mumbai today. 6 hours well spent on this custom private tour with Mukesh as our guide. This was a great intro to Mumbai and a relaxed way to experience some of the city’s highlights in a day. The entire tour was conducted professionally and our driver guide was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.

Outstanding Private Car tour of Mumbai with Raj and driver!

This was our first trip to Mumbai, so we had no idea what we wanted to do. My partner and I hired a private car and driver for the day from Mystical Mumbai tours, and our wonderful tour guide Raj totally surpassed our expectations for the day! Raz met us at the cruise ship port, patiently waiting for us as we were delayed 1/2 hour between immigration and getting to the gate area. We didn’t have anything specifically that we wanted to see, so Raj helped customize an itinerary for the two of us for the day. He ran thru the suggested itinerary he had for us, but was entirely flexible with what we wanted to do. Raj mentioned if we had time the next morning (we were docked until 1pm the next day), we may want to see Dollywood, but as it takes 4 hours or so (1 hour each way drive, plus a couple hours there) so we didn’t think we would have time to see it then. Bollywood was a whole other tour in itself, so we asked him if he could squeeze that into our schedule for the day, and we would pay for the extra cost as we wouldn’t have time the next day to to tour it, and I didn’t even realize that Bollywood was an option. We live in the Orlando area and are tourists at heart, even at home at Disney World and Universal Studios! We are so glad we added Bollywood, and Raj made a couple calls to set things up for as as it was a private tour thru the studios. Raj even played a couple Bollywood videos on the drive there so we could get a feel for the singing and dancing their films entail. What a blast! At Dollywood we tried on costumes, were treated to a private dancing show of 2 men and 2 women; all very energetic dancers in various costumes, and were even allowed to join in at one point! We sang a song we picked in an actual sound studio which they recorded for us “Dancing Queen”; how appropriate! We toured some of the sets, and even briefly saw a short segment of a movie being filmed on their outdoor market set. Truly a great excursion for the film/music and dance buff. Later Raz led up on a city tour of Mumbai and had a late lunch at a local restaurant. The restaurant was not in a tourist area, and frequented by the locals which was a nice way to immerse ourselves into the gracious culture of India. We also went by in the 5 star Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, and admired the elaborate lobby and various decorations set up for the holidays. Later went by the specular train station which looks like a Palace it’s so grand. Also the beautiful garden area, which is a romantic spot, and great place to stroll thru. Across the street is a great observation point overlooking Mumbai. We also went by the open air laundry area which was quite an interesting site to sea. Yes, it was a full and long day, but was a fantastic tour with our new friend Raj, who truly made it a memorable day we won’t forget. Thanks Raj you literally made our day!

Failed to arrive

We had a private driver booked for 08:30. At 08:40 I messaged and emailed the company, Mystical Mumbai, Jailesh. I got no reply. Tried to call, no reply. One of the locals told me he is based in UK, so there was no way I was going to get an answer. Eventually, one of the locals organised a driver for us and we had a good drive around Mumbai. Cannot recommend Mystical Mumbai Tours.

Great drive in Mumbai

Our driver/guide ( Mukesh) was fantastic. He took us to all the main sites and was very knowledgeable and respectful. We loved hearing about life in India and about his family and experiences. We highly recommend this, especially with our driver.

Mr Shailesh is very helpful and fast response. The driver, Mr Mukesh is very kind, have a great knowledge of mumbai, helpful, good in english. Car is very clean, comfortable, always on time and always ask what we need eventhough the weather is hard due to the monsoon time in Mumbai. We dont feel any difficulties! We really had a good time. Hassle free since the airport pick up til the end of our time in Mumbai.

Perfect Mumbai day tour

Such a great experience! We got to Mumbai the night before and as new travelers to India, it was very overwhelming. Having a private driver and a guided tour was super helpful. Our driver Mukesh was SUCH a delight. One of the best people I met during my three weeks in India. He was accommodating, kind, knowledgable, and I just can’t say enough good things about him. Our guide Raj was great too and very knowledgable about all the sights. We only had one day in Mumbai and this was perfect as we got to see all the highlights.

Very polite and professional driver

The driver was super professional, the best I’ve encountered in India. Drives very well, gave us incredible tips about tourism and history of Mumbai. A true professional. Even stepped out of the vehicle to accompany me and my family, offered to take pictures - which wasn’t his job at all. A true gentlemen. I really recommend him.

Our driver Mukesh was amazing, he was very knowledgable, helpful, considerate, polite, his English was very good and he also drove very well. We had a usable 5 hour gap between arriving in Mumbai and flying out and we saw many of the sights, had a cup of masala chai at the Taj, lunch at the Leopold Cafe, went to the markets, saw the India Gate, and were delivered to the airport perfectly on time. It was a great way to spend the day. The company contacted us and coordinated pick up time and place and the driver contacted us in the morning to finetune the pickup time and location as we had arranged to meet at the famous railway station. The car was good too.

Great Value and convenience

This is a great way to get around the heavy traffic in Mumbai. My driver for 2 days made sure I was safe and go to do all the things on my WISH LIST from shopping to sightseeing. He picked me up from my hotel promptly, had a good command for the English language and was very professional. Private Car Driver takes the stress away offering more flexibility than group tours.

Excellent service & Trip!

Arun was an excellent driver who always never said no to places we wanted to visit & was also very knowledgeable on the tourist places, shopping options…etc. He also volunteered to pick up my outfit and said he will travel by train to pick it up for me since it was initially going to be ready much later than expected. He also spoke good English and it made me feel really at home with his warmth & excellent service. The team at the travel agent were also always so prompt & ready to assist. It was indeed a good trip & I highly recommend them especially for tourists as not everyone speaks so well & extends such good service!

Layover in Mumbai, excellent driver!

We had a 10.5 hour layover in Mumbai and decided to go into the city for drinks/dinner instead of waiting in the airport. Our driver, Alamgeer Khan, was punctual in picking us up and ensured we got back to the airport with plenty of time for our departing flight. We already had reservations at the places we went, but he provided great cultural and historical information of the city while driving. He kept our bags safe in his car and helped to make sure our layover was as seamless as possible.

Best way to get around

Thanks for a fantastic day in Mumbai. Its so good to have a driver on your side and don't need to call Taxis, Uber,... That's difficult in such a busy city. Also the tour was very reasonably priced, no need to negotiate, watching taxi meter,... You can pick the spots you like to see or let the guys recommend something. I could also add spontaneous ideas. Magnificent Mukesh!

From the very start, to the very end of our experience with the mystical Mumbai team, the service was outstanding. Shailash and team treated us as part of the family, looking after us with a smile during the private car hire we had for 4 days. Mukesh, our driver had great local knowledge and drove expertly on extremely crowded roads, he also helped us plan our days by informing us on the best sites to see together. The commitment to service can be shown by Mukesh insisting on staying with us till late at night when my mother had to visit the doctors, he wanted to ensure everything was ok and we were safely taken back to our hotel (Mukesh we really thank you for this). During this time we also did the Dharavi slum tour – this was an excellent way to experience the lesser glamorous and more industrial side to Mumbai, something you would not normally see in other cities. The Tour guide Dhaval spoke excellent English and gave us a great insight to what life is like inside a slum. I would also recommend taking sweets on to the tour to give to the kids, it really brightens up their day. Thank you Mystical Mumbai!

Our coordinator was super friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to interact with him. The transfer was short as the hotel is near the airport but we found him very pleasant.

Mumbai sightseeing in style

We booked a cruise starting from Mumbai and flew in a couple of days early to be on the safe side. We decided to book a car with driver to take us around the city and found Mystical Mumbai on the Internet. We booked at first one 8-hour rental for the first day. The driver was a nice young man who suggested an itinerary around the city. It went extremely well, so much that we booked a second day and another day upon the cruise return to Mumbai. The founder, Mr. Shailesh, was very helpful and always available. All in all, we recommend Mystical Mumbai for your car hire needs while in Mumbai and thank Mr. Shailesh for a great experience.
