Market Tour & Maharashtrian Cooking Class in Mumbai with a Chef

Wonderful culinary experience!

This was truly my favorite experience during our trip to India. We went to the local market and were shown so many unique veggies and fruits that are incorporated in Indian cuisine. But best of all we learned some simple techniques to Indian cooking that are a staple to so many dishes. Then to learned to make 2 wonderful dishes and enjoyed a large meal with many small plates with our host. It was a truly a something special to talk to the host and learn from eachother. Would recommend to everyone !

Great experience

We took Rhesma cooking class in the SantaCruz area. She was very welcoming, and definatly passionate with food and showing us how to do it. The food was very good. I recommand!

Every Bit of a Good Time!

Reshma was a great hostess and chef! My girlfriend and I were her first American guests and she treated us like family. Her home was also inviting, open, clean and beautiful. We started off the experience with a cup of refreshing rose lemonade. It was November, but still hot in Mumbai (Bombay), India, so the drink definitely helped cool us off. The most memorable dishes we helped prepare and ate there were Bharlea Vanga (Stuffed eggplant) and the Batata Wada! All of the food prepared was really delicious! We still talk about it and my mouth waters as I write this review! Thank you for your hospitality and hope to see you when you visit NYC.

Great fun!

We had a wonderful time with Reshma, who is an enthusiastic cook and good teacher. We began our class with a brief visit to a local market, where we tasted vegetables and learned about varieties that were only available in the winter, and how they're used. Back in her home kitchen, we helped prepare two of the dishes for the thali. Her assistant came at the end to make fresh from-scratch chappatis for us, which capped off a delicious dinner.

Ottima location , pesce freschissimo e soprattuto ottimo rapporto qualita e prezzo . Assolutamente da visitare . Unico problema occorre prenotarsi con largo anticipo visto che e perennemente pieno e non a caso .

Eine etwas schwache Veranstaltung

Leider verspricht die Überschrift deutlich mehr als geboten wird. Der Marktbesuch war ein lokaler Gemüsestand an der Straße, wo gemeinsam einige Auberginen gekauft wurden. Der Kochkurs beschränkte sich auf das Formen kleiner Gemüsebällchen aus bereitstehendem Teig, sowie dem Ausbacken dieser. Mehr hätte die kleine Küche für uns 4 Gäste auch nicht erlaubt. Die dann schnell servierte "Hauptspeise" wurde nur aufgewärmt. Das Dessert war ein Joghurt aus dem Kühlregal.Viel über Land und Leute haben wir nicht erfahren. Vor dem recht plötzlichen Ende gab es weder Tee noch Mouthfresh. !
