Lovely trip to Elephanta caves

We had a great trip to Elephanta Caves. Lucas picked us up at our hotel and answered all of our questions on the way. He led us to the ferry and rode the ferry with us. Sam who is from the island gave a fantastic tour of the caves. His English was easy to understand and entertaining. The caves were so interesting.

We had a wonderful tour on Elephanta caves with Manoj and Hari. The tour was very informative. Manoj was a knowledgeable guide and a fantastic host for lunch in his home. The food was also delicious. I recommend highly!

Manoj guide Abhi is a story teller and a real photographer 😃 we enjoyed every minute of the tour and learned so much about the Indian Gods. We totally recommend him. We actually would have him if given the opportunity to visit Mumbai again 😃😃 😃

Excellent experience at Elephanta Caves

A great tour with our guide Manoj! Super informative and a superb photographer! Our driver and rep Abhi met us just outside the port entrance with a prompt drive and boat ride to the Elephanta Caves, where we met Manoj. Very good communication and informative experience, would highly recommend!

Great tour with informative and helpful guide!

We had Manoj and Abhi take us on our tour today on a very hot Mumbai day! They always provided lots of cold bottled water and opportunities for us to rest along the tour. The walk to the caves is a short 120 steps along lots of local stalls. Manoj (the local guide who took us around the caves) walked us through each of the statues very informatively. He also was an avid photographer and shared great tips for how to best capture perfect shots of the caves! Highly recommend but be prepared for a bumpy ride across the bay!

Elephanta Caves Tour

I visited Elephanta Caves during my first trip to Mumbai. My driver Lucas was very prompt and gave me some background on the city as we drove to the Gateway of India to meet my guide Manoj. We then took the ferry to the island where we explored the caves and I got hear about the history of the island and Shiva. Manoj was super friendly and knowledgeable, doubling as a fantastic cameraman! Would definitely recommend this tour!

Nice tour, you must do it!

We appreciated the tour with Abhi and Sam. Our hotel was in the north of Mumbai, outside of the pickup area, so we came in Uber to the Regal cinema. Abhi went with us to the island, he is reliable, speaks English and knows all the tricks. Then our guide in ghe island was Sam, he is local from the island very kind and knows everything about the island!

Great guide and passionate about the local history. Manor was Very helpful and friendly informative and spoke very good English. Would definitely recommend him to other tourist. Great guy and helped me buy good quality products.

Amazing tour through time

A must see when visiting Mumbai. Our guides Manoj and Abhi are both knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the tour with. Without them both we would not have known the story of the caves, really interesting and definitely recommended. Manor will also take photos for you capturing great moments.

Excellent time!

Manoj and Lucas were amazing tour guides and drivers! Our car to the venue was really nice, air conditioning, safe ride and punctual meet up! Lucas was super helpful and clear! We had a lot of fun on the boat ride to the island, calm, smooth sailing. Beautiful sights. You get on the boat at Gateway of India, so gold photos. Manoj at the Elephanta Caves was an expert. He explained all panels amazingly. Helped answer any questions and was super knowledgeable! Highly recommend this tour and these guides!

100% worth it trip

Lucas and Manoj were our guides and they were amazing. So kind and helpful every step of the way. We both really enjoyed the experience. The caves are a must in Mumbai.

It was OK

It was nice to see the caves but the local guide spent more time telling us how to pray to Krishna. We had spent a month in India and this was the first time a guide tried to tell us how to pray in his religion. He really didn't seem to know much about the sculptues. All in all, it was disappointing.

Awesome time at the elephanta caves

The tour was amazing. Manoj and Lucas were awesome and very informative. Manaj took a lot of cool photos and is very knowledgeable. It was my birthday trip and they even surprised me with a birthday care. 10/10 recommend.

My wife and I had an amazing time at are Elephant caves private tour. Absolutely amazing! Are guide, Abhi and driver, Santosh were exactly on time with a beautiful, comfortable car. I knew right away we were dealing with professionals. After a quick ride we made it to the ferry boat. Abhi escorted us for are relaxing 1 hour boat ride to the island. At the island, Abhi introduced us to are 2nd guide, Milind, who is not only a extremely knowledgable Elephant island guide but also a full time resident. Well the next 2 hours were amazing. Milind was very passionate to share all of his knowledge about this awesome historical cave. We felt we were spending time with a friend, not a tour guide. After the tour we rejoined Abhi who escorted us back to the boat and we all rode together back to the dock. Santosh was waiting for us in a very cold, comfortable car to drive us back to the hotel. We had a great trip. Just think, we had 3 professionals join together with all of their professionalism to guarantee my wife and I had a great trip. They also gave us several waters and soda's to keep us cool. The island was amazing and coupled with the great service our day was perfect. This is a very professional tour company and I completely recommend their service. My wife and I are professional travelers and rarely receive such a high standard of care. We are taking another tour with them tomorrow and I know it will be fantastic. If you visit Mumbai and want a tour this company is the absolute best choice!!

Beautiful- well worth the trip!

The trip was a good of relaxing moments, beautiful landscape and sculptures, and incredible food served by the kindest guide- Manoj and his family. Abhi handled everything with care from the hotel making us feel comfortable. The photos Manoj took for us in the cave were amazing! What a wonderful trip. I can’t recommend it higher. 5 🌟

Great day at the caves

We had a wonderful day trip with Manoj and Abhi to see the caves. Abhi took care of everything getting to the island by car and ferry. Manoj gave us a great overview of the caves but also the history of the Hindu gods. Not to be outdone, but Manoj took us to his home and we had an amazing local meal with his mom and father! What a relaxing, informative and great day. Thanks guys!

Elephanta caves!

Abhi-ji and Sri Manog gave us a wonderful tour of Elephanta Caves. It was hot and they arranged kindly for a sedan chair for my wife, who had trouble with the 120 steps! But don’t let the steps deter you. The caves are wonderful and with Mr. Manog’s knowledgeable guide, it was fascinating!

Hidden Gem Off the Coast of Mumbai

Our experience on Elephanta island was well organized, starting with a pickup from our hotel and ferry to the Island. Once we arrived, our tour guide, Sam, who grew up on the island and whose parents still reside there (visit their veggie burger shop, it's delicious!), gave us an in depth cultural and historical viewpoint regarding these ancient relics. Exploring the carvings within the cave was jaw dropping, with intricate memorials that show how dedicated to creating these pieces of art the original inhabitants were. Sam's enthusiasm made the experience even more profound, and his insight was something that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Additionally, we were able to enjoy a traditional meal in his home, which is something that was greatly appreciated and his hospitality is something we will carry in our hearts and spirits forever. This tour is one we recommend for anyone that is looking to discover a hidden gem right off the coast of Mumbai, and gives a great respite from the hustle and bustle of India's financial capital.

Informative and engaging tour!

Manoj was a wonderful tour guide. He had very detailed knowledge of the island, and he very kindly took me to his village where we picked mangos. I highly recommend this tour and asking for Manoj. Niraj (who picked me up) was very helpful and communication was fantastic.

Good day trip from chaotic Mumbai

Things you should know first, Elephanta Island is around 1,5 hour by ferry from Mumbai, so 2,5h-3h of the tour you’ll be just in transit. It’s a cool ride, you can people-watch, take pictures from the Gate of India and enjoy yourself, also the company assignes an escort just for you! Mine was Abhijeet and he was so excited and lovely, I had the best time talking to him, he’s made the ride even more enjoyable. Once arriving at the island, my guide was Sam, he is a local and knows everybody in Elephanta. I have a good background in indian history and hindu religion, so the tour felt a bit basic, but if that’s not your case, you’re going to have a very good introduction. I recommend everybody going, specially to leave chaotic Mumbai for a couple of hours. I had a lovely time, thank you so much!

The whole process was smooth. Hari picked me up promptly and by India Gate got into a speeed boat. Manoj, our guide was waiting to start the tour. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the caves with beautiful explanations, he took great pictures. All in all a 5 star tour.

Manoj is our guide in Elephanta Cave and Abhi helped us get into the Elephanta Cave from the city. They are excellent and very accommodating! Manoj is also an excellent photographer and Abhi is very helpful! Thank you both very much!

Worthwhile Visit

A must see and very impressive. Go early before the crowds and ensure a local guide for the best insights. There are a few steps but not too many. A little expensive given the ticket prices (ferry and entry). Could be done locally.

The tour was great and worthwhile. There were two guides, Hari and Manoj, both were good and Manoj who is local to the island was very insightful. A good way to spend half the day. Possibly expensive given the ticket prices (ferry and entrance), so might be able to book locally.

Sam our local guide was knowledgeable and very energetic, an extra lift in the hot weather. Hari our escort from hotel to ferry was punctual and adept driver in Mumbai traffic!

Fascinating day trip to the elephant caves.

Sam and Hari—what a team! Hari expertly navigated the drive from our hotel to the ferry and took care to explain the sights along the way. After a pleasant ride on the ferry, we arrived on Elephant Island, where we met Sam, a wonderful guide! He was terrific and very informative. We really enjoyed every second with him. We also met his family members and tried a local delicacy! It was a lot of fun.

Sam was a great guide and Hari escorted us from our hotel, on a the ferry and back to the hotel. Very convenient and an informative tour. Go early to avoid the crowds and heat.

Hari picked us up and took us on the ferry over to the island the. Sam was excellent and knowledgeable in showing us the elephants cave. He makes sure all the Essen are met like WC and cold water for us before the climb. We have a good time

Amazing elephanta!

Manor guide was amazing! It was such an interesting experience and I was grateful to have a guide or I would not know the history of the caves and the religion. Manor is also the best photographer, he knows all the best spots for good lighting

Soak in some Mumbai history

The in depth tour of elephanta caves was a wonderful addition during our short stay in Mumbai. Our tour guide Manoj is a native of the island and gave us a detailed explanation of the history of the place and the cave temple. Our escort for the day Abhi was amazing and talented to us about the city on our way to the island, he even stopped at the Victoria Terminus for a quick tour. I’d highly recommend booking with them!

Great experience

Excellent communication throughout. Abhi was very helpful as he guided us on the way to the island and back, willing to accommodate any requests. Manoj, our guide on the island, was also very informative. Highly recommend taking the speedboat to save time and have a better experience.

Feels like going back in time

This historical place was amazing. Dating back to 6th century BCE, many statues and caves are well preserved. From religious aspect also it can enlightening experience to visit lord Shiva's shrines.
