Great Tour Guide - Beware of Viator Charges

My Guide Sho was very good and made the tour great. Unfortunately Viator charged me in American dollars not Australian dollars and made this tour very expensive. Not happy with Viator.

A Bit Starstruck

This was such a unique and memorable way to spend a day in Mumbai! Our guide was Roosh, who was so kind and knowledgeable about the Bollywood industry. It was fascinating to be able to walk around a number of sets, watch the live filming of two different shows, and learn about the history of Bollywood. We also had the pleasure of meeting his boss Rahil, an extremely friendly guy who introduced us to one of the star actresses on set. Roosh and Rahil made sure that we were comfortable and supplied with drinks and snacks. Huge bonuses to the day were the tasty lunch at a local restaurant and round trip transport from our hotel. It was overall very fun and wonderful to have everything arranged for us from start to finish.

This is such an awesome experience! We got to watch an Indian TV show being filmed and stood right behind the director - an experience you won’t get anywhere else!!

Amazing!

The guides couldn't do enough for us. We staged a prison drama, danced and sang. They made my 9 year old feel like a star! Would definitely recommend with kids.

A unique chance to experience filming up close

Absolutely incredible how close you get to filming of popular Bollywood TV. We were basically standing on the set, next to the cameramen which is something you would.not get to experience anywhere else. We got to tour the sets where many famous films were shot. We also got to take photos with many of the actors who were nice enough to stop for photos. We got to see some live dance performances and even got to join in. Also we got to do some Karaoke in a recording booth which was fun. Tour was guided by industry insiders who were knowledgeable about their craft.

A day full of fun, luck and charm

We had a lovely day with our guide Roosh and the owner of WOB Rahil Khan. They were so generous and were able to guide us through all the studiosets, watch a scene shooting of the daily Parineetii soap. And we had lots of fun singing and learning to dance. We feel very lucky for this opportunity.

Got the info from TripAdvisor, the operator is very friendly and professional, kept me informed all the time, so we had a good time there. And would like to give special thanks to SHO/tour guide, and our driver, when my brother-in-law left his mobile phone in the hotel, SHO contacted the hotel, and the driver drove back to the hotel and picked it up for us, we really appreciated!!!

Excellent day in Mumbai

The best tour ever! We learned a lot about Bollywood's history, saw several film shootings, dance performance, had a lot of fun. And we had the most amazing tour guides - Rahil and Sho!

Fun day at Bollywood tour

Roosh and Rahil gave their best to make sure that i will have an awesome experience during Bollywood tour! It was so much fun and full of surprises, learning about the pre-production, production and post production process, also about Bollywood history and films, i won’t share much on the surprises, i will let you find out! On the top of this, an amazing meal in a very nice awarded restaurant was included in the visit. Definitely recommended!!!

An amazing experience in a Bollywood studio

Thank you very much for this experience, a must to see in Mumbai for sure! I could visit the studio while live shootings were going on and it was very interesting to see how it works with directors, actors an all the crew of a movie. I had the chance to be guided by Roosh that i really thank for his clear explainations. We had a great time & my mum was really pleased that she got to meet some of her favourite TV stars. Both Rahil & Roosh were very accommodating with our requests. Roosh was our tour guide & he was very knowledgeable & was very helpful. The lunch at the end was really delicious! The only reason I have give this a 4 out 5 was that there was a lot of walking & a lot of stairs, which was quite difficult for my mum who has difficulty in walking...I think it would be useful for them to make it clear before you book that anyone with difficulty in walking for long amounts of time might struggle slightly.

Excellent tour

I have really enjoyed the Bollywood tour with Devroop and Rahil. They took an excellent care of our grouop, which was small, so this was a very personalized experience. It was great to learn about the industry, see how the movies are filmed, visit different scenarios... We took lots of pics in costumes, we even made a short movie. I would really recommend it. Fun and informative tour of the real Bollywood

As a movie fan, it was a must to visit a real studio in Mumbai and get a genuine taste of the Bollywood film industry. My guide was Rahil Khan, an actor and screenwriter himself and an excellent host for the tour and lunch. I really enjoyed the live dance show which encouraged audience participation in the last dance then photo opportunities and we learned about the history of Bollywood. There were props to dress up in if you wished and up in the sound booth we saw demos of Special effects, voice over work and the importance of Foley sound effects which are customised sounds made in post-production. Soundstages were available to tour and on one we got to see a live scene being set up and filmed with the actors. A hive of activity indeed. What a fun and interesting afternoon, feeling like a VIP guest!

The best tour of my life

This was a superb tour... beautifully crafted, taking us through the long history of the BOLLYWOOD industry. The tour was wonderful and the food experiences truly memorable. Best Ever Lifetime Experience - World of Bollywood

Being a Bollywood lover, what else can I ask for. Amazing Experience! Well Worth It. We absolutely loved doing this Bollywood Tour and would recommend it to ANYONE who wants to do an experience World of Bollywood (WOB) Tour in Mumbai (City of Dreams). Fabulous experience

Excellent experience with Roosh our fabulous guide. He made the tour interesting and it was great to learn about Bollywood and to see some Indian soap scenes being filmed. We enjoyed the extras like the traditional dancing, the sound booth, the props… And our late lunch was absolutely delicious. Loved it.

Fun Bollywood Tour with Rahil Khan

We had great fun and a fantastic experience to visit the Bollywood Studio with Rahil Khan. We consider ourselves very lucky that he was there with us in the studio to show us around and he is full of fun and makes you laugh all the time. My sister and I are from Peru 🇵🇪 and this is our first visit to India and our first day in Mumbai was most enjoyable thanks to Rahil Khan and his team. I highly recommend this Bollywood Tour to everyone especially with this company if you want to have an enjoyable, informative, learning and fun experience. Rahil Khan also takes great pictures and videos and because of his connections we could meet the actresses personally and chat with them.

Totally amazing BOLLYWOOD.

I was picked by Roosh the young tour guid. He is an excellent guide and I would highly recommend requesting to have him take you on the Bollywood tour. So informative about the whole set at the studio. Taking you in behind the scenes of some of the famous shows that are produced there at SJ studio. We got to watch behind the cameras as they shot parts of the series. Amazing to watch. I highly recommend this tour. Wait until you finish the tour off with a mouth smacking lunch. You won’t be disappointed. The tour a must see and ask for Roosh.

Incredible day with Mr. Rahil Khan.

This was a fabulous day tailor made by Mr Rahil Khan created especially for my wife's birthday! She is a huge Bollywood fan and enjoyed every minute of the day. Rahil went the extra mile at all places and took amazing pictures for us, being a filmmaker he has a great eye for photography. His commentary was so good in impeccable English. He makes terrific conversations and connects so well with us with all the amazing inside stories about Bollywood. It was a very memorable day especially for my wife. A great tour!

A great tour! We heard that there are many scams in India, so we were positively surprised with the tour. Rahil Khan was professional and lovely person, and gave us a lot of inside information of the Bollywood and Mumbai! Also we got a delicious lunch afterwards. He was friendly, and we felt safe and Rahil made us feel welcomed to the studios.

GREAT WAY TO SEE BOLLYWOOD

The best way to see Bollywood studios, Roosh or Rishi , we prefer calling him that was an excellent guide and full of information about Bollywood. He took us around the Studio , we saw the sets experienced the sound studio. In between we also recorded a Bollywood song in our voice, which was an experience in itself. Rahil Khan also joined us midway and showed us around and made sure we were taken good care of. Thanks a lot for the excellent and informative tour. Bollywood Memories

A great way to end a fantastic India adventure. The studio tour was very interesting. We went to a number of sound stages where active filming was going on. We were behind the cameras. After the soundstages we went and learned how special effects are created in post production. The final treat was live Bollywood dancers and a chance to join in. After leaving the studio we went to lunch at a famous Indian restaurant and a drive back to our hotel. Well worth the price. Our tour guide is also a director learning his craft. The owner of the tour company called me several times to make sure we were in good hands. He even popped in during our tour which was over and above our expectations.

Don’t miss this!

There was a slight hiccup at the start. We were waiting a long time to be picked up as a driver had fallen ill. Our guide was most apologetic and these things happen so we weren’t too upset. Saw interesting things in the tour of what seemed to be a fairly small studio. Sat in with the director as he went over the scene about to be filmed. The actors came along and did their final run through of scripts before going to the set to film. Had to leave at this point as there was a bangra dance display for us in a small theatre. This was very entertaining, especially as we had a front row seat! We were eventually asked to go up and join in, which was a laugh, and we got photos of the occasion. After this we were taken to a stunning restaurant for a delicious lunch, which was included in the tour price. Our driver then took us the the airport as we were heading home. Very enjoyable trip and a great end to our holiday. Thank you!

An extraordinary day with an amazing host

Before I write about the tour I must say that the best part of today was Rahil himself. He is an amazingly caring, kind and attentive host. His understanding of what would interest and engage us is very commendable. The tour itself was a mix of live shooting, various sets from hospitals to village streets and beautiful interiors. The live dance show was fantastic. The dancers were excellent. The sound recording session was superb. The tour ended with a delicious meal at Persian Durbar. Rahil is a perfect host and guide and that is what sets this tour apart . Thank you Rahil for such a memorable experience.

Excellent personal studio tour

Very personal tour around the whole studio, much cosier than large Hollywood studios. Take photos and videos and see sets in action. Dancing demonstrations and participation and dressing up, photos. Lunch included and includes pick up with luggage and drop off at airport if required.

This tour was simply incredible! Don't expect Holloywood studio on this tour as this is Masala Bollywood. We loved to be part of live Bollywood shootings and be part our own short movie and music. Seeing bolloywood dancers and dancing with them was glamorous. Our guide Rahil Khan was superb, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive!

Better to see once than to hear many times 💫

It was the best experience in Mumbai!!! From the start till the end we were with responsible, hospitable and attentive tour guide. We didn’t know a lot about Bollywood films before our journey. We decided to go for this tour only because we saw a lot of advertisements, that’s called it the best experience, and it’s ABSOLUTELY true. The main idea of this company, that’s tours should be fun 🤩 We were laughing and smiling all day long, because tour guys will not leave you indifferent. So, if you don’t know anything about Indian movies, the same as us, it doesn’t matter! You’ll get a lot of emotions, which you’ll keep with you after trip. An excellent tour of Bollywood with our friends. We met our guide Rushi time we arranged. He was a screenwriter for Bollywood films had a great knowledge of how things done. He took us round studios where films were taken also watched a live filming which was interesting. Towards the end of our tour we were shown live Bollywood authentic very colourful dancing. To top it all we were taken to a traditional restaurant and had a lovely meal. Overall we recommend this tour.

A VIP Experience for Dedicated Film Nerds

WOW! Even after digesting all the rave reviews here, we didn’t quite know what to expect. At best, we figured it would be similar to some of the tours we’ve taken on Hollywood studio lots in California. We assumed we’d be lost amidst a large group of mostly uninterested tourists being shuttled around to unused or inactive sets as a perky guide recited meaningless trivia that ultimately told us nothing about the actual filmmaking process. Instead, we were treated like VIPs and given unparalleled access to active sets that were filming as we stood by and watched, usually just behind the director or a sound mixer or camera operator. This is essentially a private tour, as we joined with just one other couple and crept around between, behind and through sets at the direction of our intrepid, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides: Rahil, Roosh and Ashu. Outside of actually having a job in the film industry, there is no way you’ll ever be given this kind of access anywhere else. The second half of the experience involved more interactive activities that spotlighted post production. We participated in a little karaoke, learned some traditional Indian dance moves directly from the dancers, and acted out a few scenes for the camera while dressed in costumes. We also viewed several videos detailing various crafts- from foley sound effects to CGI to voice over artists as well as brief overviews of Bollywood and this particular studio. If there was one area for improvement, it was probably these short videos- many weren’t specific to Bollywood or the studio in particular and/or were too cursory or generic to provide much detail about their subject matter. After all that, our guides took us out to eat at a wonderful restaurant; the meal was absolutely delicious and one of the very best we had during our entire stay in the country. We were treated like old friends throughout the entire experience and Rahil in particular could not have been more accommodating, more enthusiastic or more entertaining. All three of our guides answered our questions and spoke passionately about the filmmaking process and their own hopes and dreams within the industry. If you are a film nerd like us and spend as much time reading or watching behind-the-scenes/making-of material about your favorite shows or films as you do actually viewing those programs or movies, this isn’t just the best studio tour for you in Mumbai; it’s likely the best in the whole world.

Bollywood studios private tour with lunch

We had an excellent tour of Bollywood studios , our guide Rushi was very pleasant giving us the history of Bollywood. We were taken round film studios, watched a live filming which was very interesting. Live Bollywood dancing with colourful costumes was something else. To top it all up we were taken to a authentic restaurant and loved every moment of it. We highly recommend this tour.

Great experience in SJ Studios

Great experience with many activities catered for us. Toured behind the scene setup and filming, did song recording, acting, dance performances and costumes photography. Devu, our guide is experienced and friendly and helped us with dozens of photos and videos taking. Lunch was included and it was fantastic too.

Bravo Bollywood Experience in Mumbai

Well organised tour for a wonderful Bollywood experience. Tour guide Devu met us at lobby to bring us to the tour venue. I experienced how the setup of filming was done. The song recording session was fun and memorable. It was my 1st experience as a recording artist! Enjoy the dance performances as well, we also joined the dance during final segment, the crowd was energized and thrilled. After the tour, we were brought to enjoy an authentic Indian cuisine which was truly delicious. A highly recommend tour for all to experience Bollywood! Kudos to my tour guide Devu in doing a good job and helping us to take excellent photos and videos.

Wonderful Experience

Such a fun experience. My tour guide, Rahil, is an experienced actor so he was able to get us up close to some filming action. The film and cultural dancing near the end of the tour was very interesting and enjoyable - I even got involved!! Rahil also escorted me to a lovely place for lunch. We had the best time ever. Rahil is, besides an actor himself, also an assistant director and a great guide. He knows his way in the studio's. We got the opportunity to see two television series being filmed, were able to make pictures with actors, see behind the scenes. There was a movie about the history of Bollywood, some dancing, dressing up etc. We had a great laugh recording Don't Worry, Be Happy in the music studio, taped our very own movie scene. And a nice lunch with good talk afterwards. Great time and defenitely recommended!

A great Bollywood experience!

Rahil was a great guide for this tour! He works with the studios and knows his way around, and also the cast and crew members. We felt like VIPs at the studio. We had some great experiences and saw some production being filmed. I highly recommend this tour if you have time in Mumbai!

A fun day in Bollywood!

Everything about this tour is 5 star! I was picked up on time and met at the studios. I watched a recording of a soap and got to meet some of the cast on set. Then I got to experience all the different aspects of the working studio with an opportunity for me to act out a scene! With an excellent dance performance to conclude, I left with lots of great memories. The lunch provided was also of high quality. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone to get an insight into the work of a studio and simply to have some fun! I would definitely do this tour again.

Immersive Bollywood experience

Very entertaining tour , we were taken through behind the scenes of film making , even met some popular TV personalities , tour also included some entertaining performances by professional artists specially curated for tour group , very personalized attention was given by tour leader Mr Devu and owner , Mr Rahil, himself who doubled up as MC to take the group through entertainment show and presented very informative videos on history of Bollywood and creation of graphics effect .

Had a fabulous day on our Best Of Bollywood Studio tour in Mumbai . Devu was our fantastic guide - we had lots of photos taken on the way & Devu gave us really interesting useful info about each point, he explained all about his own interesting journey as an actor, singer & dancer, he was engaging, attentive & answered all of our questions. During the studio tour we watched scenes being filmed & learned all about life behind the scenes, then we had our own chance to play a little acting role, record our own song & have a go at Bollywood dancing , we loved it. After the tour we had a lovely meal with another couple of groups & the meal was delicious. At the end Devu went above & beyond & took us on a tuk tuk ride, a train & a bus, gave us so fab tips on where to go & experiences to try. An Amazing Visit to Bollywood!!

We absolutely loved our day in Bollywood! An amazing behind the scenes tour of the quite busy, actively shooting SJ Studio! We were able to visit all the sets, while the shooting occurred! We were also treated to a look at all the backstage areas and the many creative people supporting the ongoing productions! We enjoyed presentations on the history of Bollywood, the development of SJ Studio and a wonderful Bollywood Dance presentation too!!

An amazing time.

An absolutely wonderful time on this tour with great insights into the inner workings of Bollywood. Our guide Rahil Khan, an actor/screenwriter himself and his colleagues took great care of us and were very hospitable showing us the different stages of film production, live filming of a tv serial, and so much more. Of course lunch was absolutely delicious as well at Persian Darbar. The best tour we had in India combined with one of the best meals. Definitely run and book this tour when you are in Mumbai. You won’t regret it.
