EXCELLENT TOUR WITH MR UTON PALMER!

Our tour with Mr. Palmer was truly a 5 star experience! He was on time to pick us up in his comfortable bus. As you go from place to place, he will tell you about history, as well as all the natural fruits, veggies and herbs of the land. He will point them out on the journey and let you taste them too! We went so many wonderful places on the tour, including all around Montego Bay, and some classic sites like Dunn River Falls, and the lovely Blue Hole. Mr. Palmer took great care of us and allowed us to customize our tour to see the things we were interested in. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Montego Bay or Jamaica for the first time. You will enjoy yourself and learn alot about the Jamaican culture. Thank you Mr. P!

Montego Bay

Palmer was our driver, this was a rather quick tour that was put together at the last minute. Our cruise was rerouted to Montego Bay last minute. The beach's were closed due to prior day tropical storm and the sea's were rough. Palmer took us to the Rose Hall area and did a drive thru some of the residential area's and then the Rose Hall shopping area. Lunch at his favorite Jerk house was packed so we slid into a different place "Scothies" which we had a great meal. Palmer pulled together a quick tour and he is very knowledgeable of the Montego Bay area. The only thing that holds back from a five star was that the van was oversold and had to use jumper seats in the middle of the tour van.

Palmer was the best!

We communicated with UTON Tours ahead of time to let him know that our kids are into historical things. So, he customized our tour to see the history in old town Montego Bay and Fort Montego. He stopped and picked different plants for us to smell, gave us a tour of the different neighborhoods around Montego Bay, showed us where the movies Cocktail and How Stella Got Her Groove Back were filmed, and took us shopping at the best store on the Hip Strip. As far as my family and I are concerned, Palmer is the best person to take you around the Montego Bay area. He is friendly, punctual (early actually), and very reliable. I would book with him again the next time I'm in town.

Fun Sightseeing Tour

It was fun to see parts of Montego Bay that we wouldn't normally get to see and hear some facinating history. Then we had time to do some shopping and then lunch at Margaritaville. Our tour guide was great!

Communicate with guide AHEAD of time

We came to Montego Bay on a cruise ship and booked this tour to have a private driver and customizable tour to do what we wanted. However, we didn’t do any of the things on our list because there was some miscommunication about what the tour included. My biggest piece of advice to all who book this tour is to contact the tour operator ahead of time and let him know where or what you are wanting to do. This will help them plan accordingly and stick to a schedule you truly want. Couple things to note… Doctors Cave Beach is pretty but it’s crowded. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas but we weren’t prepared for this so didn’t enjoy the beach time as much. The city tour part wasn’t anything spectacular. It was interesting to learn about the culture and see how people live, but it felt mostly like driving around in circles. If you’re wanting to see beauty like waterfalls or swimming holes or rivers, this tour did not include that. Be sure to communicate with your guide ahead of time if you are wanting to see any of that! Overall, the two tour guides we had (had to switch midway through due to scheduling issues) were very friendly and made sure that we felt safe throughout the tour. I would recommend this tour if you want to sit in the van most the time and just see the city. I would not recommend this tour if you want to see more of the “beauty” or “countryside”.

Beautiful & Informative Experience with Awesome Tour Guide

Uton (spell check) our tour guide was so kind, patient and very informative. He honored our personal requests and took his time on this guided tour allowing us to take it all in. He showed us the the different sides of Montego. He made sure we were safe and not haggled by the locals when we went to purchase souvenirs. We were taken to a souvenir place on hip strip where the owner was kind, hospitable and had reasonable prices. I would highly recommend Uton for your city tour. This was our last excursion so he made sure to take us places we had not seen. It was a beautiful and eye opening experience. This made our journey to Montego fulfilled! Thank you again Uton!

Toured TWICE!

I absolutely loved BOTH tours with “Palmer!” My husband and I brought a group of 20 people to Jamaica, and the tour was part of our trip. My experience with Uton Tours was absolutely amazing! Palmer is a very friendly, punctual, and professional tour guide who has extensive knowledge of the beautiful island. Palmer looked after our entire family, he was very accommodating and ensured that our trips around different parts of the island were comfortable, memorable and enjoyable for all. We enjoyed scenic trips to different parts of the island and Palmer would always give us an interesting breakdown of the history of certain areas. 4th Awesome and Amazing , family Vacation to Jamaica

Just came back from our 4th family vacation from Jamaica (June 2021) and used Mr. Palmer from Uton -Tours for the 4th time for our private transportation throughout our stay there. All we can say it was “Another Great and Awesome Experience” touring with Mr. Palmer. Mr. Palmer was on time as usual upon our arrival at the airport and for our departure from the Hotel to pick us up. He is a very friendly person with a great personality and is very knowledgeable about the island of Jamaica. He also answered all our questions as he drove. He is a very well- known gentleman throughout the island also. He always does his best to make you feel very safe and for you to enjoy the time while touring with him. My friends and I went on this tour this January and we had the best time! Palmer took us around in a van through the countryside and then dropped us off for a few hours at the beach and shopping. Palmer was very friendly, informative, and protective. I would definitely go on this tour again!

2 tours with Palmer

Just back from Jamaica, having done two private tours with Palmer the Great! No promblem mon! The first tour was for 11 people and was a Spanish town/ Kingston/ Bob marley Museum and Devon house tour. Palmer was on time and very friendly and spoke quite a bit about his knowledge of the island and endevoured to answer all our questions as he drove. We had asked for a longer lunch time and an unexpected side shopping trip and he had no issues...stressing this was "our tour" and he was here to make us happy. The second tour was for 9 people and was Blue hole, tubing, and Luminous lagoon. There was a slight misunderstanding with regards to fees for this tour and it ended up costing about $30 more per person then quoted but it was obvious that Palmers costs had not changed and it was a misunderstanding on the admission fees for the 3 attractions that was the issue. (Palmer charges for his time one fee, then you pay the attractions fees on your own). Would totally use Palmer again and encourage others to do so as well - always on time, always felt safe, very capable driver, and went out of his way to detour for shopping and unexpected lunches - kinda felt like you were having family tour you around their island! Book with no worries!

Best Tour!

Palmer is great! Took us places we wouldn’t have got to see with a regular excursion or fire by night to her company. He even gave us redline beer and a complete tour of the city and countryside. Highly recommend it for anyone going to Montego Bay!!

It was great!

We did the private tour a couple of days ago. It was great. Palmer was very enthousiastic and told us very much about the nature, culture and history of Jamaica/Montego Bay. It was very nice to see all the spots in the area of Montego Bay, especially the less-touristic ones. I would recommed the tour for sure!

The Ultimate Host in Jamaica

Falling in love with Jamaica was easy, getting to know Jamaica was achieved by spending the day with Palmer. From the moment he picked up our group from Iberostar to the 8 hours later when he dropped us off, we were engaged by his passion for his people and his country. Initially, I was not thrilled about another all-day excursion, but after my experience, I suggest you do not miss the opportunity to spend the day in paradise with Palmer, this is a must if you are in or near Montego Bay. I think we could spend a week with Palmer and we would never tire of his knowledge and warm personality. Do yourself a favor and book a day with Palmer, you will thank yourself.

Best Tour Guide (person) in JA!!!!

I found Palmer back in 2014 and have used his services the last three times I have come to Jamaica (2014, 2017, 2019). He is a safe driver, who is knowledgeable, accommodating and great fun to tour with. Each time I've been, he has been able to tailor our day trips to things we really wanted to do (eat local food at roadside stands, go to private beaches, see more of the people of Jamaica, travel to different areas from our hotel in Montego Bay like Negril, Black River, and Ocho Rios!! Great Service at a Great Price

We did an all day tour with Palmer from Montego Bay to Ochos Rios. After our planned activities Palmer showed us some local places and even a good spot for Lunch. Palmer was professional, accommodating, and personable all at a price price cheaper than going through our resort. If we ever make it back to Jamaica, Palmer is going to be our GO TO for any type of travel.

If I could give this review 10 stars I would!!!! First let me start off by saying-BOOK NOW!!!! We did two tours with Mr. Palmer the first week of June. The first tour was exploring Montego Bay. He spent the WHOLE DAY with us from 9:30am-5:30pm. We saw all the “non touristy” sites, ate local food, drank adult and no adult beverages on a local beach, toured the market, drove through the mountains, saw Richmond Hill and finished up at Margativaille(I’m a huge Jimmy Buffet fan). Let’s also not leave out that he stopped and picked all the fruits grown on trees for my daughter who was thrilled and fascinated. The second Day he again spent from 9:30-5:00pm with us. we went to the blue hole. My husband and I had been to the blue hole years ago-BUT NOT TO THIS BLUE HOLE!!!! It was incredible!!!! I felt like I was in a movie! We had drinks at Ocho Rios Margaritaville, are road side jerk hut and fresh cut cocoa beans & pineapple!!!! What a special trip!!!!!! He really should charge more!!!! But we are so thankful for his time!!! More than EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!

Uton Private Tours Montego Bay

My first time using Uton Private tours in Montego Bay, Jamaica. A party of 18 of us got picked up at the airport and transported to Villas in Ocho Rios. Mr Palmer, Owner /Operator was awesome. I was pleasantly impressed by his professionalism and flexibility. First, as we boarded the bus, we were greeted with a welcome to Jamaica drink. We wanted lunch so he stopped to allow us to eat. Mr Palmer gave us a bit if history as we journeyed to our destination. Will always use him upon my return to Jamaica in the future. Also scheduled a return pick up from Ocho Rios back to the airport. True to form, our p/u was as professional as the 1st. Bus was clean, air conditioned and we felt safe. Thank you to Uton Tours.

Awesome Tour Company!!!

This is the 4th time we have used Uton Tours for our vacation in Jamaica. Always a learning experience because Palmer will show you new things, teach you about the Jamaican culture, and always be on time and courteous. We have used Uton Tours on two separate visits to Jamaica. One visit to Montego Bay & a separate visit to Falmouth. Both times Uton Tours was always there waiting for us. We always felt safe. Best way to see the real Jamaica!

Stopping into Montego Bay on a cruise and wanted to see some sights away from the usual tourist crowd. Did some research online and found Uton Tours to be the most suitable for a private day tour. Contacted Mr. Palmer and he was very helpful in setting up our tour. He was waiting for us at the cruise terminal and we jumped into his minivan for a trip to YS Falls. Mr. Palmer is a super nice guy and the whole trip he showed us some amazing sights in the country side you would never see on a bus tour. I think he knows just about everyone in Jamaica as we drove thru several little towns along the way. We had a great time at YS Falls and then we stopped for some fruit on the way back, some very interesting fruits available at these road side stands. Such great local interaction. When we got back to Montego Bay he took us around the City, thru some residential areas and then to Hip Strip for some quick shopping. Once again, he knows all the good places to go without wasting time with stuff not worth it. He will take you anywhere you want, no pressure to go someplace you don't want. Then he drove us back to the cruise terminal to end our adventure. Overall we had an absolutely great private tour with Mr. Palmer and he is the best, highly recommended!

Great Tour Guide - highly recommended! Can't wait to return!

We just returned from our family vacation in Montego Bay. We decided to book with Uton’s Private Tours to visit Dunn’s River Falls. Palmer was our tour guide and he was professional, punctual and knowledgeable about the area. He arrived with a cooler full of drinks and was flexible while we waited for a late family member. He drove us to the falls and taught us about the surrounding areas. After the falls, he took us on a tour to show us other key spots for photos. Palmer was very accommodating and went beyond our expectations by taking us to Runaway Bay to view the beach where we were married 20 years ago. We would highly recommend his service and the next time we are in Jamaica we will certainly book our next tour with him.

Professional service at its best!

I was at a brunch one day with a group of ladies I mentioned to one of them that I was going to Jamaica she told me that she and her family had used UTON tours. My husband and I got in contact with Mr. Palmer and arranged for him to pick us up from the airport which he did and we scheduled a private tour with him he took us all over Montego Bay he was our own personal tour guide and really showed us some of the great highlights things that we probably would have not seen if we would've took a regular tour bus with a whole lot of other people it was just my husband and myself and we covered a lot of ground,it was fantastic. I really really enjoyed it he had drinks for us and took us anywhere we wanted. I wanted some real good oxtails so he took me to his favorite oxtail spot. And yes they were delicious! During our recent trip last month Mr. Palmer was out of town but he arrange for one of his coworkers Mr. Jackson to pick us up from the airport and he was just as nice and very informative and he also took us back to the airport from the hotel we really enjoyed the service and we will definitely use them again when we go back to Jamaica ! NO PROBLEM!

Dunn's River Falls using Uton Tours

We arranged for Uton Tours to pick us up from the Montego Bay port to take us both to Dunn’s River Falls.. It took us about 1.5 hrs to get to Dunns Falls whilst stopping on the way to take pictures at various locations. The driver was very friendly and stopped where ever we requested. We left our extra cloths in the car. The driver drops us outside and we made our way in. Uton Tours cost included the entrance fee to the Falls. On our way we stopped off at Columbus Park, Glistening Waters, Rose Hall Great House, We contacted Palmer Ransford via email who was very helpful in clarifying all our queries.

Another wonderful time with Palmer

I have now gone twice to Jamaica and both times I used Palmer as our tour guide with Uton's Private Tours. Palmer is the very best guide I have ever used and I recommend him to everybody. He took us on a wonderful tour of Montego Bay and then we booked another all day tour of Kingston. His knowledge and kindness and professionalism is unsurpassed. Don't go to Jamaica with out using Palmer.

What a excellent trip !

WOW, to say the tour was excellent is an understatement. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Palmer. Upon arrival we traveled into Montego Bay where we’ve got to see “The Hip Strip”. The entire trip mr.palmer was very knowledgeable about the background and the culture behind Jamaica’s history . We felt very safe it was almost as if he was family . We’ve seen so many wonderful attractions. We even went to the famous Dunns River Falls. The food was exceptional . The next time I visit Jamaica I’ll definitely be contacting Him for his services. I visited Jamaica in May for business and pleasure and what a delight to meet Palmer of Uton Tours. I would implore any visitor to Jamaica,going to Montego Bay, Ocho Rios,Negril or truly anywhere In Jamaica to use Uton Tours. The BESTTT Tour Guide, plz don't look any further!!

I was planning for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Jamaica. For the majority of us, it was our first time visiting. This being the case, I began researching for Tour Guide companies that would be able to take us out to some excursions. I wanted to make sure the tour guide we ended up finding was someone who was personable, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Luckily, I was able to find all three of these things with Mr. Palmer from Uton Tours. Even before the trip started, the communication with Mr. Palmer was excellent! I emailed and called him, telling him our group size and the things our group wanted to do and see. He was very patient with helpful, giving me the information and pricing right away. Right from the start of the trip, he had a big warm smile, greeting all of us, and even had refreshments waiting for us upon our arrival! Cold water and beer/soda from the moment he picked us up from the airport couldn't have been a better start for our group of 14, especially in 85+ degree weather. Giving us a history lesson of his beautiful country along the way to our resort, he was very engaging and informative! We used Mr. Palmer for one full day of excursions (Dunn's River Falls and Blue Hole). He was always a couple minutes early, and if we wanted to change our pick-up time, we simply had to call and ask, and he was more than willing to go with whatever schedule we wanted! He took us to our excursions and told us to take our time enjoying ourselves. We never felt rushed to hurry up and finish what we wanted to do, and that was exactly how he wanted things to be! He told all of us that his ride was our for the day. Even when we finished our excursions and wanted to have a quick bite to eat somewhere locally, he knew of a spot right away and took us without hesitation. Oh, and he had MORE cold water and beer/soda ready for us, AGAIN! I could rave and go on and on about how amazing Mr. Palmer was as our tour guide. When you're out of your country and visiting a new country, you want to be able to relax, have fun, and enjoy your time, right? That's everything this man can do for you (and has done for us). We were all so fortunate and thankful to be able to stumble across Uton Tours and Mr. Palmer, and if we were ever to come back, he would be THE FIRST and ONLY one we call. SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!

We have been to Montego Bay twice on a Carnival cruise; and wanted to do our own independent excursions. We found Palmer via TripAdvisor and are we glad we did. This guy is awesome.......great guide, driver, and all around good guy. I find him to be very reasonable on what he charges to be a private guide and driver. Just tell him what you want to do and where you want to go. I highly recommend any visitor to Jamaica hire him, as he will help you and give you great advice and take you anywhere you want to go. He told us where to shop and where not to; who will rip off tourists and who wont.......he had our back......We look forward to visiting beautiful Jamaica again for a longer time and will absolutely ask for Palmer's help again! Excellent Tour!!

After researching private tour companies for my trip/cruise, I decided to go with Uton Tours... and I'm glad I did. First let me say, I'm kind of a procrastinator... about a week or so before my cruise...i made the booking. Although last minute, Mr. Palmer was able to accommodate me and as requested was our tour guide. Instructions were thorough and easy and he was waiting for us as we exited the cruise terminal. Wow, I feel like we saw the whole of Montego Bay!! He took us everywhere and taught us so much about Jamaican history, culture and foods. When I go to Jamaica I will definitely book him again!! Uton Tours was Superb

Absolutely Amazing!!!!

Palmer was the greatest tour guide I've ever had on any island. He was very knowledgeable of the entire island. We docked in Montego Bay and he took us to the Blue Hole with was amazing!!! The water was so nice and refreshing. The entire time we were there he waiting and periodically checked on us to make sure we were having a good time. After leaving there, heading back to Montego Bay he pulled over and allowed us to grab a bite to eat of authentic Jamaican food. Overall, I would recommend and use him ever time I go back to the island!!!

Best Tour Guide Ever!

We have been to Jamaica a few times now and have done many tours- Mr. Palmer was by far the best! He was so kind and funny! He made us laugh and thought us lots we didn't know! When we were done with our tour we asked him where we could take school supplies we had brought for the children- he arranged it and came to pick us up the next day for an unplanned tour to give the supplies to the kids ourselves! What an amazing experience! We not only got to do something amazing we also got to see a side of the county we never seen before and normally wouldn't! Family over Everything vacation 2017

We had an Amazing trip, there were 17 of us and Palmer provided us with car service and tours 2 days of our vacation. The first day was full of adventure starting out with a quick stop for souvenirs, then to margaritaville and lastly to Ricks Cafe. Palmer coordinated our cabana at Ricks Cafe, gave history on all significant things on our drive and just customized the day to meet our needs. This is not the level of service that we would have received doing an excursion or taking a taxi. Fantastic experience for Circeo9

My family of nine booked two private tours while on vacation in Jamaica. We had a great experience with Palmer. We enjoyed his professionalism and felt absolutely safe on both trips. We can tell he loves his Country by all the wonderful stories. My family enjoyed learning about Jamaica, as we swam in the 'blue lagoon' and climbed the Dunn's River falls as well as our day trip to in Negril and Montego Bay. He taught us way more about the country than we could have learned on our own. And he answer many of our curiosities about this country!! He even altered the trip to suit our needs.The day was ours to enjoy and we never felt rushed. No reservation about recommending Palmer to our friends. And If we return to Jamaica, he will be the first one to know.
