Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay

Don’t waste your money

We did not go on this excursion. We waited over an hour and our ride never showed up. We tried to contact the driver thru the site but no response. Waiting on a refund.

Our drive, Omar was really good as far as his demeanor, professionalism and knowledge of the areas we passed to get to Negril. The reason for our displeasure is we were confined to the amenities of the area of the beach belonging to Margaritaville. As soon as we passed the restaurant and hit the beach, we were approached by vendors to pay for boat rides, parasailing, etc....sometimes aggressively. Some of them approached us numerous times even after telling them no. It was a very uncomfortable and unsafe feeling for me, my wife, and daughter. We were with another couple who was picked up on the way and we all agreed to leave Margaritaville early and just go to Rick's for the 2nd part of the tour. Rick's was a place that is a must-see in Negril. I don't really have anything negative to say. We did order a dish and food and it was actually pretty good.

whay did they change the name from Bloody Bay to Orange bay???

We have stayed at the RIU Palace here many times. When did they change the name from Bloody bay to Orange bay and Why? This makes no since. It has been called Bloody bay for as long as I can remember.

An Ode to Negril

Our tour guide Scott was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and had plenty of positive vibes, which provided a positive experience. The beach was beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Rick's Cafe was absolutely fantastic!!!! The music was great and so were the drinks.

Day Well Spent

We truly enjoyed 7 mile beach and Rick’s cafe. My son called not get enough of the cliff diving. Our driver was on time and stayed on schedule.

Good day out on the water

It was a good trip, though the drive back was a lot longer than expected. Would have loved to spend an additional hour at the beach as Rick's Cafe doesn't start pumping until later. Would've also appreciated leaving 30-45 minutes earlier to beat the traffic as the sunset view is not such a big deal.

Beautiful spots. Mid tour.

The 7 mile beach was very nice as was Rick‘s café. The food at Rick’s café was flavorful, and the vibes are very upbeat. The water at both places was very beautiful. The reason I give it three out of five stars is because you’re basically just paying $100 to get transportation to these spots. The tour was nothing special at all, didn’t really learn much. So it’s kind of just an expensive taxi trip.

Not exactly as described

Our driver, Franklin, was great! He was kind and knowledgeable. First, we were notified the day before that we had to pay $40 more per person because our hotel was farther away. We paid this in cash to our driver. The drive to our first stop was about 2 hours. First stop was Jimmy Buffet’s margaritaville restaurant which also included beach access and beach chairs. The use of an umbrella was an additional $15. Before we even had a chance to sit down, we were approached by so many people about drinks, food, umbrellas, water sports, etc. it was a bit much. We were there for about 4 hours, which we thought was too long. Then we drove about 20 minutes to Rick’s. We had about an hour there and had already eaten at Margaritaville. The options at Rick’s were drink, eat, shop, or jump/watch cliff jumping. Then we had another 2 hours back to our hotel. This excursion advertises as 7 hours (approximately). For us, it was actually about 10 hours.

Great Time!

Great Tour, picked up at 11:00 Am for a bus ride to margaritaville at 7 mile beach then ricks cafe, our tour guide Jermaine was great, kind, polite and informative of the local community on our ride there. He was very accommodating and helpful! Had a blast! Highly recommend!!!! Great for music and partying!

Awful management

They changed the date of my tour without asking, and I tried to tell them that I couldn’t go the day they changed it to and I never received a reply

Loud and expensive

This trip was not for us. We were dropped off at Margaritaville which was loud and expensive. There wasn't really anywhere else for us to go on the beach to get out of the sun. Then we went to Rick's. Also loud and expensive. Our guide was nice, but we did not enjoy the trip overall.

Well worth it

Kirk was an excellent guide. The 7 mile beach is beautiful. Rick's cliff diving was fun to watch.. loud music so if that's not your thing, spend more time at the beach and go to Rick's for an hour.

Best Day Everrr!! SNL Tours Excursion to Negril was 🔥

The whole experience was amazing! My driver, Mr. Copey was on time and super pleasant! There were a couple of people who canceled last minute and he still provided us with perfect timing at both locations. So much knowledge and my daughter and I felt very safe! 🙏🏾 I would absolutely book SNL Tours to anyone.

Partyville

Our tour guide Copeland was the absolute best. He entertained the group on the way to Negril with cultural facts about Jamaica 🇯🇲. He stopped to let us take pictures of the Negril sign. Margaritaville was fu. The drinks were good and the music was great. The highlight was Rick’s cafe. It was exciting watching the people jumping from the cliffs and the sunset was beautiful. This tour is a must if you are coming to Jamaica.

Good day out

This was such a good day our tour guide was amazing he was so helpful with everything and made the journey there fun. Despite the rain it was still a fun day.

Negril Day trip/ Ricks cafe

My tour guide Copley, was wonderful. He was kind and polite. He answered all the questions we had about the history of Jamaica.. I will definitely request him on my next Jamaica trip. Thanks for a wonderful tour.

Group trip

We went as a group of 29 post wedding. The bus picked us up at the resort. The group decided on the bus they would all like to take the catamaran from Margaritaville to Ricks however cc machine was down so the bus brought us to a US ATM to get cash. It was a long ride but it was a nice ride and we got to see some of Jamaica which was nice. I definitely wish we did a private catamaran as our group was split up on the boat. The snacks on boat are chips and free drinks. We snorkeled but not much to see. The day went by fast but overall we had a great time.

Really enjoyed the tour, had a relaxing time at seven mile beach with time to eat at a restaurant and swim. And we loved the vibe at Rick’s cafe, it was amazing to see the sun go down, loved seeing the divers! Our tour guide really made us feel so comfortable during entire trip, I would recommend!

Poor trip

It begin to rain an I feel we should not have went out for we only did half of the trip the drinks were very poor and no high end liquor…. So no I will never do a trip on this app again…my driver was the only thing I liked…Thanks Anthony for making a bad day get better…

Negril is the place to be

Our Lopez was fun and gave us information on the areas we were traveling through. The beach area was very beautiful and Rick’s Cafe was definitely a vibe

Beautiful

I loved it from the catamaran to the snorkeling, it was a beautiful experience, and the entertainment at ricks cafe was nice as well. I will definitely be back to visit in the near future.

Our driver was very efficient and personable (Sorry, I’ve forgotten his name). He also gave us more knowledge on Jamaica’s culture and Bob Marley along the way. We had plenty of time to enjoy both the beach and Rick’s . I’d definitely recommend.

Our tour guide Copely was wonderful. He was very accommodating. He was also very informative about the island along the trip. He made sure we felt very safe and comfortable. Negril is beautiful, the beach was very nice and there were plenty of activities to choose from. Just be aware that everyone along the beach will try to sell you something. The views from Ricks are beautiful, it’s just very crowded. A popular spot for a reason.

Great tour. Our tour guide Franklin was amazing! Takes you wherever you request and gives you a great tour of the island along the way with great conversation. I would highly recommended. Don’t forget to ask for Franklin.

Trip to Jamaica

Me and my husband really enjoyed this experience!! Blake was our driver and he made us feel very safe, and gave us a lot of information regarding the areas and the culture of Jamaica. He even stopped and allowed us to get food from locals to get the full experience m. Definitely would recommend

Great day trip

We were picked up from Jewel Grande in Montego Bay and a family of 4 was already in the van. Our driver was funny and professional. We all talked the entire way there, it takes about 50mins and it's a sceanic drive so it goes by fast. Our driver informed us that he'd be waiting for us just outside in the parking lot. Our first stop was Margaritaville where we ate and hung out about an hour. it rained really hard but once it stopped my husband and I walked 7 mile beach and had an entire section to ourselves to relax and unwind. It was beautiful and quiet. We then met our driver and family of 4 in the parking lot and went down the road to Ricks. Our driver stopped us at the nearby gift shop and let us shop and pickup shorts and towels, etc. It was really a nice gift shop, I purchased nice items for a good price. We then headed over to Ricks Cafe and hung out. It was so crowded so we talked to the family who rode with us and we all agree'd to leave after seeing the locals jump from the cloffs. Great show but way too crowded. We stood the entire time. Great tour company, will use them again.

Full day experience

5/5 Stars. This is a great getaway tour. The tour guide was awesome, the beaches were incredible & the people were amazing! (Be sure to bring extra cash for the beach entry and Rick’s cafe also!) No true complaints , I had a great time!

Negril Day Trip

Copeland, the driver, was very good and knowledgeable. He was very accommodating of everyone and knew the area very well.

Different tour than described on viator

Jermaine was a great driver and very flexible. He shared lots of local information and history. Can’t say enough positives about him. However, both he and other passengers had different description than what we booked on Viator. 10:35 AM pickup with one other couple. There was a lot of traffic, so we were on a bus for two hours one way. We were taken to Margaritaville in Negril (which was not in description). This was a crowded part of Seven Mile, but we walked down beach to find a quieter spot after we ate lunch. We thought lunch would be at Rick’s Cafe, but we were there closer to 3 hours. Rick’s Cafe wasn’t until later. Headed there at 4. Luckily, the other passengers also agreed to leave early as driver was told to to keep us to see sunset. Kids and husband did lots of cliff jumping, and we got drinks. It was very crowded. We left Rick’s Cafe an hour before sunset (5:20 or so) and got back at 7:30.

Mr. Donovan was the best driver and was super nice. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this tour to everyone.

Fun Times

Loved the beach in Negril! Water was crystal clear and warm and there was no seaweed like in other parts of JA. Our driver Donovan was super sweet and funny! Loved his energy. Our time at Ricks was fun and lively and the drinks and food were delicious. Definitely 10/10 experience, would do this again.

Go do it.

The excursion was fun and relaxing. The beach was great for me to relax, I felt safe there’s food to purchase, but I didn’t eat until we got to Ricky’s Cafe the turn up spot. It was a fun atmosphere the DJ was hot with variety my music. The burger was good. It was fun watching people jump from the cliff and my dream of seeing a lighthouse.

Negril and Rick's Cafe

Our tour guide Blake was really friendly and welcoming, he did a great job explaining all the towns that we passed through on the way to Negril. The drive was a bit over two hours long from Montego Bay due to traffix but enjoyable because it's so scenic along the coast. We were really worried about rain but Blake kept a positive attitude and told us it should stop and it did. We wanted to walk along a part of the 7 mile beach, so we stopped by Margaritaville since we were hungry. It was a nice hangout spot for tourists to start from. When it started to mist for like 30 minutes. Blake took us to shop as requested and knew the spot to go to where you can get pretty good deals compared to other giftshops we been to. It began to dry out again so we walked along the beach which was nice to check out. Lots of vendors who are pushy but you just say a firm no a couple times and they leave you alone. We came for the view of 7 mile beach, unfortunately the weather really has to be gorgeous to really see that amazing blue color you see in photos. Part of the beach in the distance had it so I can only imagine the whole place that color. Afterward, we went to Rick's Cafe for late lunch. Luckily we got there early because it became very busy so quickly. It's a cool tourist spot with nice views and a DJ playing music, you have to check out, nothing like you probably seen before with cliff divers, my husband jumped off a smaller ledge! Food was pretty good but pricey, but it is a tourist spot so what do you expect. We could've stayed for the amazing sunset everyine talks about but we had to make it back in time for dinner reservations. Overall, the trip was nice to experience a different part of town. You really have to set expectations and know that weather affects the experience but it's hard because it can be unpredictable. I recommend this trip if you can set that in mind and really give yourself time to enjoy the sunset. I give it five stars because Blake was great. He did show up a few minutes late but apologized and made up for it with his customer service. The weather is out of anyone's control but would be perfect if the water was that famous blue I see online but still a nice time.

Awesome tours by Omar

Omar our guide was a pleasant informative person. It was a long drive to Negril, we didn’t stop at 7 mile beach on our request. Omar also arranged a trip to Appleton Rum factory, he drove us there, good driver. Gave us a lot of information about Jamaica. Any questions we had he answered them. He took pictures for us. He patiently waited for us, never rushed, asked if wanted to stop to shop. We definitely recommend him as a wonderful driver and tour guide.

Terrible service

I don’t recommend the tour. I requested a refund and they denied it. It was raining like crazy for the whole day and it should have been cancelled. The entries admission is false information, since you don’t have to pay for Rick cafe or the beach. It is free. The trip is basically only transportation. I could have made in a local taxi cheaper and having the same experience. They should refund it if the weather was not ideal for places you need good weather since both are open.

BEST tour in Jamaica

I had the best experience with marlin EVER he understood me and my friends time constraints and also was super kind always making it comfortable for us two girls traveling alone. The beach is beautiful we ordered coconut shrimp and went parasailing at the boardwalk in Negril which was SO FUN my first time and I want to go back already!!! we then went to ricks cafe Wich was jumping !! had some rum cake enjoyed the music and watched as others cliff dived! amazing experience and I will 100% be booking again please don't double think. BOOK now!!! Much love

Great staff, great places

Our guide was a sweetheart. He checked on us occasionally at the store to make sure all was well. There was plenty of time at each stop.

An amazing area to explore with an amazing guide!

Garfield was an absolute beast of a tour guide! He made the experience very enjoyable for our first time visiting Jamaica. Along the 2 hour journey he gave us tidbits of information about the island and culture and always being available to answer any questions we had. He not only guided us throughout Negril but he also helped us buy souvenirs and let us kind of work on our own schedule. I would highly recommend this tour for first timers going to Negril! Thanks for a wonderful day!

Our driver Dwayne was the best! Very knowledgeable and fun!!! Was also very flexible. One recommendation is that they need to highlight in the tour description to bring sufficient cash to partake in the water activities. Glass bottom snorkeling tour $60pp and to the island $100pp plus $$ for meals, parasailing $80 pp. Dwayne was nice and told us 5 mins into the trip so we went back to the hotel and got more cash. Great tour overall.
