Martha Brae River Rafting Private Tour

My family and I had an incredible time doing this activity. It was my husband and I as well as 3 of our kids, all teens, 2 girls 1 boy. We got 3 rafts and all had an amazing trip. The tour guides were very informative and funny. We got some awesome souvenirs made with local calabash. At the end there is a little shop and restaurant and the jerk chicken wings there were the best jerk chicken I had on the whole island. I sat and talked with the owner for a few minutes and he was so nice. This is a great activity for couples or families, I highly recommend. We went early in the morning so it wasn't busy at all and the temperature outside was perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful day enjoying the delightful activity of Martha Brae rafting. Our esteemed host Damion, exemplified the utmost professionalism with his courteous and polite demeanor, ensuring that our rafting experience was truly memorable. Along the scenic river, we had the opportunity to purchase towels and garments from the charming shops, adding to the overall enjoyment of our excursion. Moreover, the delectable taste of the rum cake was simply astounding. We eagerly anticipate the chance to return to this remarkable place in the future. Shaded rafting on a refreshingly cool river

Raft guide shared knowledge of flora & fauna as we swam, relaxed, ate snacks, and chatted with a few vendors on the river banks. Low water levels at this time of year meant the raft took ~45 minutes to run the course. Scenery was green, lush, quiet & relaxing despite the road running alongside the river. Water was cool & refreshing on a hot & muggy Jamaican day.

Was it worth the wait?

The driver and raft captain (124) were excellent. The wait at the actual venue was way too long. Pricing was a bit high and differed from booking site to booking site

Best trip ever! Request Rasta Pasta 😉

If your rafter is called Rasta Pasta/Ronaldo then you are in for the best trip down the River Brae. Within 10 minutes he had us up steering the raft, singing reggae songs, jumping in the river and jumping in from a nearby swing! Such a chilled and cool guy, with so many stories and facts. Think it very much depends which rafter you get! Some in our group had a really fast and very quiet trip, others lots of stories and very slow and calm ride, ours was chilled but crazy fun. Really made our trip having such a great guy on our raft. Big up Rasta Pasta 💪🏻🇯🇲

A Great Experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Martha Brae's Bamboo Rafting. Billy-John was a superb guide who shared wonderful local knowledge with us and made the whole experience really great fun. The rum punch was delicious too - if not a little deceptively strong lol. A really great visit and hugely recommended. Thank you.

Amazing

Carlos is hands down the best tour guide we have ever hired. We travel once a year and we have never experienced someone more welcoming and friendly. This was our fourth time using Carlos and we have not had any issues. This time he was with Kemar and he is also a wonderful person was everything we could have asked for. Wonderful Experience!

Very great experience! We enjoyed the views & the ride was smooth & everyone was very friendly. The only reason I gave this 4 out of 5 was because the life vests smelled really bad, like feet & they were still a little damp. We were able to take them off though in the middle of the ride. Otherwise, this experience was wonderful!

Renaldo a.k.a Rasta was our guide! He was Amazing! Funny and informative with a lot of fun mixed in! He gave us a bit of history and provided some great photo opportunities. He also sang few tunes as we made our way around the river. The ride was peaceful and beautiful! Not one bit of disappointment.

Out captain on the raft was very nice, he was singing some soothing songs. The ride was very relaxing. Only 4 stars because our driver. He told is to cut the line which caused unnecessary conflicts with other guest!

CALM & PEACEFUL

I do not want to spoil the experience with the initial contact with the Lady in the office where you pay for the tour. she was absolutely Rude !! did not communicate effectively. The Rafter and the Lady in the gift Shop (Althea ) absolutely made our tour special, relaxing and calm. We had such a good time.

Excellent day out

Myself, hubby and teenager daughter (15) went bamboo rafting on the Martha brae. The 3 of us were allowed on 1 raft. We had guide number 100 (can’t remember his name) but he was a great guide, very cheerful and chatty. All 3 of us had a limestone massage which was so relaxing. We got to stop off at a couple of local stalls along the river and bought coconuts. An excellent day out

Driver for Martha bay smokes weed.

By booking with this website, it was convenient for the most part. It was fixed price but our driver seemed to be agitated with everyone after smoking weed on the job. I would have given 5 star to everyone but chose 4 due to the fact the driver smokes and drive.

Disappointing

Our driver came and picked us up. Once we made it to Martha Brae our informed us that no more tickets where available for the day.

Super relaxing!

The slow cruise along the lake was so relaxing & peaceful. Beautiful scenery as well! I will definitely book again when I visit in the future.

Amazing!

We had such a great experience on this tour. Our raft captain Ronaldo "Rasta Pasta" was amazing (ask for him). From start to finish he made sure our time on the river was excellent, from conversation to the great vibes. We even hung out with him after his shift, he should us around and took us to a great spot for food and a fun bar! Make sure you get the rum punch at the beginning of the tour, so worth it!

Rained On

It wasn't that great, because we go rained on the entire time. I think there should be an additional trip given, when it rains the entire day.

Amazing Time

We had an amazing time our driver Teri was wonderful. He provide extra tip on what to do on trip. Then our captain was great he kept us entertained and even offer too let us stair the boat overall it was worth every dime spent!

We went on this experience yesterday and loved it!! Our guide Richard (captain 125) was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and made our trip on the river! He took some lovely photos and we even purchased a hand carved item! Such a special experience. Thank you.

Ee had the most amazing time on the raft! Captain Murphy was great, the trip down the river was relaxing and beautiful, he gave us lots of info on the different things we passed. Would go back again.

Wonderful Experience

This was a fabulous excursion!! Around 45 mins from the Riu Montego Bay Hotel by coach. We were quickly welcomed and the process explained to us. The open side bus transfer to and from the Martha Brae is a wild ride and great fun. We were taken on a private raft by CJ who was an excellent guide throughout. He really made us feel special, giving us fresh coconut water, beautiful fresh fruit, music, and a limestone foot massage. The trip was around 45 mins down the river and CJ was knowledgeable and funny, but also knew when to leave us to our thoughts. The perfect guide, thanks CJ! We were treated to a quiet walk around the park and a couple of lovely drinks while we waited for our coach back to the hotel. A wonderful excursion, strongly recommended.

Martha Brae Rafting

We had an incredible time rafting with our guide “Rasta Pasta” Ronaldo. Beautiful scenery, cool water, cold beers, and great conversation with our guide make for a fantastic experience. Can’t wait to do it again.

Great experience

Teric the driver was probably the best part of the trip. He was very nice and gave us some history of the buildings as we passed by on our way to the river. Our trip was in the morning so the river was empty, which was nice because it felt very peaceful. Our 'raft person', Johnson, was also really nice, he went nice and slow and didnt rush the experience, which we loved. Tip - make sure to wear or bring bug spray, since youre on the river, the mosquitos definitely come out to play, i got bit up. The experience was great though, would definitely do it again

Beautiful and relaxing!

My friend and I had a beautiful and relaxing experience on this tour! Our tour guide Kevin was super nice and gave us all the info we needed for the tour and was happy to answer all our questions about life in Jamaica. Our captain, Martin, was super experienced and friendly. He took lots of pictures for us and was very pleasant to ride with!

Pleasant family outing

Had a great experience in this tour. Safe for my four year old and still fun for the older kids. River was high due to recent rains so it went a little faster than normal. Erod aka Bob was a great tour guide.

Relaxing on the Water

This was a great part of the trip. Rafting on the river was relaxing, and is very manageable for a varied party (younger children, older adults). Beautiful nature, and great for taking pictures! This was one of my favorite parts of the trip!

Book Now You Won’t Regret

Pro Tip: Schedule for the am. We got there at about 10am. We literally had the ENTIRE RIVER to ourselves. We got Great Pictures, no other rafts in the background, and it made for a relaxing memorable experience. Our Driver Kevin, went above and beyond to insure our trip was great. If you book request Kevin. Great conversation, very knowledgeable, and very tentative to our needs. Thanks again.

We love Jamaica

First I would love to say what a wonderful experience I had traveling with Carlos and Odaine. We were a group of 14 and each of us got individual attention, no one felt left out. The raft captains were amazing and told us about the history of Jamaica. Our expectations were met and we would do this tour again.

Such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. This was our final tour and it was amazing. Our raft captain was fun and he told us about the history of the river. I recommend this tour and Carlos has your driver.

Our tour guide Carlos was the BEST he came through with anything and everything we needed . He was on time and super nice and welcoming . He even took us to eat KCF before since we had not eaten prior to the excursion. We ended up using him for the rest of our days in Jamaica for sure will be coming back and using Carlos

AMAZING!!

This entire trip was amazing. The river was a bit cold but the rafter was so polite and caring. My boyfriend and I both jumped in after the half mile and swam back. It was one of the best experience during my entire stay in Jamaica. My rafter’s name is Recardo! I definitely recommend him for everyone.
