We paid $45 a piece and the next day someone texted us and said we had to pay an extra $60 because the bamboo rafting wasn’t included .. and we didn’t even do the hip strip so they got over on us for $90.

Had a great time and really good vibes. I would it again. I 100% recommend it. Also, they picked me up from the hotel on time.

Half satisfied

The raft was definitely not worth the price. Also if you are able to watch and see how they interact with people and choose a good person the experience will be good. The person I had "Otis" was not good. I felt the experience was rushed and he was not a people person. For the money you spend you want a good full experience not a half job

Horrible experience with driver and the operator who managed our booking “Alex” tries to rip me off saying I wouldn’t do bamboo rafting when it already said in brochure , he texted me trying to change the time multiple times .driver arrived early but afterwards it went downhill , very unprofessional, loud blasting music and also stopped to do his own things like taking money out of bank while we waited in vehicle . His driving was horrible ! When we finally got there like one hour the bamboo rafting was decent very nice people but beware ! ‼️ the locals will hound you . Once we were finish the driver wasn’t there in sight we finished 6pm and tried to communicate with Alex thro text message I was left “on read” it got dark no light all the tourist left and me and my son were the only one left . We had to use our self phones for lights . Luckily (Smiley) the bamboo guy stayed with us until the unprofessional driver arrived , we had to move away from river and waited further up road . No luck communicating with Alex until I asked smiley to call him and he did answered him! He did not answer my phone calls!!! So he said he will be there soon! I waited for Two hours! With a bunch of men I was so scared the only woman there . But smiley kept me and my 11 years old son safe . So if you get a text from (Alex) saying to re book or cancel don’t do it! Or cancel bc he will Scam you ! Horrible driver and horrible operator !!!! Stay safe y’all

Rafting was a great experience

The view of the river was nice. The ride was chill and relaxing. My favorite part was the limestone massage. The rum punch drinks were definitely a punch I didn’t expect it to be strong.

Amazing

Raw Jamaican tour that gave us a true experience. The tour guide was Andre amazing. He took us up and down the river, unlike other big tour companies such as (chukka). During the tour he fed us fresh fruits, let us try rum creame , And even took my photos for me. Truly 10/10.

Different experience

It was a different experience. It was nice. Lots of ants crawling around and a few started crawling on us. We did have on bug spray. Our agent did tell us to bring some. I like it but won’t do it again.

We had the greatest driver(OCARRIE) we got the most of our experience. I highly recommend this company for your airport shuttle to excursions.

I would not book with this company again for this experience. There was very poor communication from the very start of the day.

Awful experience

I had a terrible experience with this provider. He is a rip off. He did not offer me ride from hotel not hip strip tour. Beware everyone he will leave you to local people to figure out who is taking on the ride and you will have to pay your owne taxi if you are not in Montego Bay even if the experience says you can pay a surcharge

I did not get my hiphop strip tour. Overall the bamboo rafting was pretty fun. It was raining before getting there but stopped by the time we started the activity.

Warning

Overall”ok” experience! Please be mindful when booking WITH the margaritaville stop since it has been closed for months and they still offering the option without letting you know. It sucks that we paid for it and nothing was offered instead since it is closed (no refund, no other stops) Also be mindful of everything you get on the raft you will pay for at the end…

Disappointed

On the positive side: Taxi guides there and back were nice with good conversation. The raft guide had a fun personality . That's about it Negative side: Altough the raft was really cool and looked like a promising trip.. we didn't spend much time on it. Between the constant upsell attempts and delays. By the time we started diwn the river the guide said our time was up. We still could see the starting port we got on the boat at. The limestone massage was only for the ladies and they wanted an extra tip for everthing. $50 for a bottle of rum and 2 plastic cups, tip the driver and raft guide, guys have to pay extra for lady to rub limestone on them. They advertise from $45 but its $235 for 2 people..plus the margaritaville is closed .. but still advertised in value

Bamboo rafting was fun, but poor logistical communication

Overall we enjoyed the day, but many things could have been communicated better. The highlight was the bamboo rafting experience, which was very relaxing and we learned a lot from our guide. However, the tour operator and driver communicated two different pick up times to us after we booked. This meant that we rushed to get ready for the earlier communicated time (earlier than the time on the booking) and were left waiting around until the later time that the driver communicated. After the bamboo rafting part of the tour, the driver proceeded back towards the resort until we asked about whether Margaritaville and the Hip Strip were still part of the tour. Margaritaville, is actually closed for the season due to storm damage, so this shouldn't be included as a viable tour option until they reopen. Likewise, most places on the Hip Strip were closed at the time we went. We got lunch on the hip strip instead, and our driver called us asked us to get our food to go because he had another pick up 15 minutes later. We got our food to go, but our driver had already left. The tour operator sent another driver a little later. In general, the communication of logistics and knowledge of what is actually open and available to tour could have been better.

I enjoyed every bit of my rafting. The guide was very nice, helpful and an amazing singer. The food was very tasteful. I love the way his raft was decorated for my friends birthday.

First class rafting

This was an excellent experience and learning one as well. Kenton aka Bones was so dope and personable… I would recommend this excursion and make sure you ask for bones

Awesome trip

It was really nice our driver dropped us off & they had people selling items before you got on but they are a little forceful but nice you can bargain with them. They depend on tourist dollars so prepare. Also wear good footwear to get onto the bamboo. They had restrooms which helps when the car ride was about 40 minutes to get there from RIU Hotel in Montego bay. Our rafter driver "Ricardo" was awesome and helpful with all. We had a blast. Rum punch bottle $20 it was worth it. Yah Mon!

Beyond Compare

We were picked up promptly by Ocarrie. He kept consistent contact with up from hours before pick-up to getting in the van. He spoke with us throughout our 20-30 minute trip through the city to the rafting site. Upon meeting Turbo, we felt immediately in good hands. He guided us onto his designated raft and off we went. He had some great music playing on his Bluetooth speaker but was ok letting me play my own, to which I think he was pleasantly surprised by my selection. We enjoyed tunes from Louie Lemke, Papa , Mad Cobra and Simple Simon while Turbo told us about the local agriculture and made a store run for us. It was an unbelievable experience from shove-off to pulling back in. Margaritaville was closed due to weather-induced need for renovations but there was plenty nearby to satisfy our needs (and besides - who wants to go to a place you’ve never been before to eat at a place you see all the time?). Upon request, we stopped off much earlier than the Hip Strip to get some authentic Jamaican fare. The jerk chicken has spoiled me for anything I’m ever going to eat in the states. The views were unbelievable from the Hip Strip. I got plenty of time to talk to Ocarrie about day-to-day life in Jamaica. That’s the stuff I live for. I’d tell anyone who would listen to go have this experience. It was a baptism for what’s left of my soul. I am eternally grateful that I got to interact with these two humans who shaped my entire experience.

We really had an amazing time.. Bones, AJ and Jack are the best! I would definitely recommend. Make sure you get the jerk chicken and rice and peas from jerkie!

This tour was just like the pictures, got a decorated raft for my birthday, tried sugar cane and coconut water for the first time it was amazing. Our tour guide was amazing as well!

Find something else!

The advertising is false. It was only a taxi to margaritaville for $90 for 2 people. They would add on the rafting for significant more money. I had them return us to the hotel. Turns out, tour guide next day on different line says Margaritaville has been closed due to a storm clean up and renovations. At least I got a refund. Steer clear of this tour line! Lots of others out there!

A pure scam...!!!!

A pure scam...!!!! We paid for a Bamboo Rafting, Margaritaville, and Private Hip Strip Tour. The service provider only honored the bamboo rafting, he didn't honor the Margaritaville excursion and the private Hip Strip tour...we didn't do it...he took us straight back to our hotel. .. Excursion much too expensive for just rafting, you can find many others cheaper... Furthermore, the service provider is not correct, he refuses to partially reimburse the part of the excursion not carried out... and no response from Viator on this subject... despite several reminders... In short, move on regarding this excursion and this service provider...!

Highly recommended Jamaican style experience

This tour wasn't exactly what I was expecting but we had a great time. If your looking for a guided tour ...this isn't it. The transportation and all drivers were nice, professional and helpful but you're on your own at the locations. We were dropped off at the Lethe river rafting site and met the operator. My friend has some mobility issues and right away we were concerned that we were in over our heads. The walkway down to the river is well worn and in order to board our raft ...we needed to cross several other rafts...not doable with a cane. However...before I could even worry...we were shown...in true Jamaican style...how it's done. Our captain and one other guy simply picked my friend up and some how...effortlessly placed him right on the raft seat...no worries mon!! I highly recommend the fresh coconut cocktail...the limestone massage and requesting Maro and Shaun for a great day on the river! After...we did do a bit of shopping on the Hip Strip...don't take the first 2 deals...haggling is a must and cash is a better bargain. We were unable to visit Margaritaville. Unfortunately it was closed due to some storm damage. We hope that the several businesses that sustained damage in the storm are able to recover soon and keep bringing that revenue to beautiful Montego Bay. 🧡 One Love

Rafting was great !! The limestone massage was so amazing . left my legs so soft !! We didn’t do the margaritaville due to the weather so expecting a refund for that part . Next time . I had a great time on the Rafting!!

Five star birthday experience!

I throughly enjoyed the limestone massage and bamboo rafting. Andre is the best guide. He catered to both my friend and myself. He went over and beyond. We had music, drinks and fruit. Andre also provided a coconut drink to my other friend that was on another raft. Her guide AJ did not provide her with one. My raft was fully decorated with a Happy Birthday banner, balloons and flags. Thanks Andre for making my birthday special!

Wonderful experience!

The hour drive to reach our destination allowed us a small glimpse of the local people as they went about their day. From the cows and goats on the side of the roads to the many make shift store fronts and souvenir shops, the culture of Jamaica is fascinating!!

Everything about this excursion was extraordinary. From the driver's that picked us up at our hotel and gave us an educational tour on our way to the river raft, to the authentic Jamaican jerk at Scotchies, we couldn't ask for any better. We highly recommend this

Worst Service

I did not actually get to go on the tour. When I scheduled for the tour the resort I was staying at was listed as a pickup option. I later received a message stating it would be $20 extra per person because we are outside the pickup area. I agreed to pay the fee because it was my birthday and I was looking forward to it. When my pickup time came no one was there to pick me up. I contacted the company at 1:13 and they said a driver was en route which my pick up time was supposed to be at 1:00. I then advised to cancel because I had plans later that would have interfered with the time. I then received a message at 1:59 pm advising my driver was outside after I canceled because he was not there based on my reserved time. Now I am fighting to get my money back. I advise to NOT use Viator.
