We did a horseback ride winery tour followed by a lunch at the restaurant for the winery. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend this tour for everyone.

We had a relaxing horseback riding experience through a beautiful country side. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The Argentine BBQ lunch was beyond delicious and served with fine Mendoza wines. I highly recommend this tour!

Riding, eating and wine tasting in one tour

Well organized tour. Picking me up by time from my accommodation. The horses are in good shape, quiet and good mood. The lunch was delicious. The tasting of different wines of the local region was magnificent. The tour guide wad very gently with excellent English knowledge. I can recommend this tour.

A horseback tour to be remembered

My guide, Ezekiel was exceptional. He knew the area very well. The horseback riding was e joyable and the area so beautiful. Horses were calm but active. Loved every moment. And the lunch at the end was memorable in a restaurant and winery called Tapiz. Truly memorable.

Outstanding

It was a great horse trail ride through the neighbouring vineyards with gentle horses, stunning views and knowledgeable guides who provided just the right amount of information. Next a gastronomical meals with wine. Samples paired with our choice of starter, entree, fabulous deserts, finished with a coffee fresh and hot with a sweet tidbit. Thank to to our server Luisa at Club Tapiz and our guide Exequiel Quiro and our driver for a fabulous day!

Excellent tour and lunch, very well organized!

Awesome tour, would definitely recommend! The whole experience was very well organized, and our guide was very energetic and knowledgeable. We also typically don't have high expectations for food on an organized tour, but the gourmet lunch really was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We also got lucky that we had a good group of travelers from around the world, and the conversation over lunch was very interesting. Would definitely do this tour again if I return to Mendoza - the company was so easy to work with and the people at the company all brough positive, upbeat energy to the experience.

Must do while in Mendoza

Our guide was wonderful. The ride is a lot longer than I expected and the horses all have their own personalities. And the food at the end of the day was INCREDIBLE.

Ricky was a great host from Trout and Wine, and Cesar and Elío were fantastic and very patient with us, as we hadn't ridden in 20 years. The lunch following was out of this world. I highly recommend this tour.

Great day out

Me and my wife done the horse riding tour and absolutely loved every minute of it, everything went smoothly from being picked up from our Accommodation to our tour guide being really informative. The horse riding was so ice and relaxed trotting through the vineyards. The food and wine we got from the restaurant was absolutely unbelievable probably the nicest meal we got in Argentina being honest. Ps. Apologies I'm after forgetting our guides name but he was so helpful and really informative about everything we were doing

Best Tour ever!

This is experience was beyond anything we expected, truly! We were promptly picked up at our airbnb by Tessa ( I highly recommend you to ask for her ) we were taken to a Ranch were Elliot was expecting us with 2 beautiful Horses, horses were kind, lovely and well trained. The Ranch Horse Guide Elliot was very friendly and kind to us and the Horses, we rode them for about 1 hour through a beautiful circuit where we took many pictures. Once were were done Tessa was waiting for us to to take us to “ AGOSTINO WINERY “ as soon as we arrived we felt in love with Landscape and how insane were the views of this winery. They welcomed us with a glass of Rose, took us to the Terrace to enjoy our wine we then were invited to our table at the and the feast started. The staff served family style antipasto paired with a Spumante as we were having lovely conversation with Tessa who was in charge of our experience and on top of every detailed. After several antipasto were served, the staff brought us appetizers paired with Chardonnay. By the time the main course arrived ( I’ve order a a Ribeye steak Milanese ) we were already full but of course we made room for it. Agostino’s finest red were paired with it. I highly recommend this Tour please ask for TESSA she was on top of everything, extremely knowledgeable, kind and professional.

Lovely Rural Argentinian Experience

Horseback tour was really fun and showed us the back country of Mendoza. The gauchos were very informative and gave us a true backcountry Argentina experience. The tour guides were extremely nice and answered all of our questions very politely. The vineyard restaurant we stopped at to drink wine/ eat lunch was the best food we had in Argentina. Definitely would try this again if we come back.

Horseback Ride with Beautiful Views and a Delicious Lunch

Consuelo did a fabulous job as my groups tour guide. She provided a lot of information about the region and what to expect on the tour. She also joined us on the horseback ride. The horseback tour was great. I enjoyed riding the horse in such a beautiful setting, and the owner of the horses was wonderful. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Club Tapiz, which is a wine I enjoy in the States. The driver did a nice job as well getting us around the area. The Trout and Wine office did a fantastic job with communicating what time I would be picked up, and the guide and driver were prompt. Thank you for a great day!

This far exceeded our expectations! Consuelo and Walter are amazing and the staff was super communicative. The horses were very well taken care of by César. The food and wine was incredible and the ride was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked another tour to the mountains for later in the week. Book your tour with Trout and Wine, you will not be disappointed.

A great way to spend a day

My wife and I had a great time learning about the Maipu area from our guide, Victoria. She was right on time and very engaging. Our conversation priced she was a wealth of knowledge on innumerable subjects whether we were talking about local flora and fauna, wines, olive oils, geography, culture, and more. Our gaucho was very good as well. The horses were well behaved and the weather was perfect which is so often true in this area.

Memorable day!

Our guide , Consuelo, contributed to a beautiful day horseback- riding among vineyards and Rio Mendoza . She then took us to the Tapiz winery restaurant and gave us privacy to enjoy our spectacular meal with great wines, 5 -star meal and service. Everything was impeccable and in a beautiful setting . I will highly recommend to everyone to take tours from this company. We had already taken another tour 2 days before, which was also excellent from another company, and the guide spoke very highly of Trout and Wine. If you have visited Napa /Sonoma and European vineyards, you will be blown away with the wines of Mendoza and want to come visit for at least a week. So many Malbecs plus every other varietal is grown here and really incredible .

What a special experience!

I had an amazing experience. Unlike any other experience i have ever had. The horses were really well trained if you have ever ridden horses it is a walk in the park. I would have never seen the amazing olive groves any other way and the staff was not just friendly but very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this experience even if you have never ridden before.

Incredible ride in the Andes

This was an amazing experience for the whole family. Our guide, Ricky knows everything about Mendoza, from the history, politics, wine making, you name it. He made the trip so enjoyable. The horseback riding was a real adventure with spectacular views. This was literally breathtaking. Honestly, the rides were quite more comfortable than I expected. Once at Salentein, we got to unwind with a superb meal paired with perfect wines. Sooooo good! highly recommended!

Amazing ride, food, and company

Anna was an amazing guide for the day and shared her passion for her region. The group size was perfect (6 people), horses were safe and we got to soak in the scenery in a relaxed atmosphere. Food and wine were superb. Would definitely recommend!

Brilliant experience

We had an absolutely brilliant day. Both booking and pre-arrangements were incredibly easy, and we were picked up directly from our accommodation on the morning of the tour. My husband had never been on a horse before, and had the best experience - Trout & Wine’s partner stables were fantastic. The horses were clearly loved and cared for, and our guide was experienced, relaxed, and lovely. The trail ride through the vineyards and along the river was a “bucket list” moment for us. We were then taken to Club Tapiz for an incredible, three-course lunch with paired wines - one of the best lunches we’ve had in a long time, and the tour and setting were fantastic. A big thank you to the brilliant Ricardo who made the entire experience special, providing an abundance of knowledge and history for us, and even dropped us at an impromptu wine tasting taking place close by, after our tour. Would highly recommend to friends, and family - a brilliant way to experience Mendoza.

Wine tour via horseback!

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Highly recommend! Consuelo was a great guide! She was so informative on the way to the stables sharing special history of Mendoza. Charlie went out of his way to make sure we had a private tour as we are avid equestrians and he set it up with Caesar, the owner of the stables to take us personally so that we could canter and ride at a faster pace than being grouped with novice riders! That was over and above what we had expected and it was really special. We galloped through olive groves and the vineyard! Consuelo is an experienced equestrian and to our surprise took videos of us as we galloped when she was in front of us and another time behind us! We rode along the Mendoza river before coming to the olive groves and vineyard! The horses were wonderful and well cared for! The lunch was amazing with a 3 course meal at Club Tapiz paired with wines! It is rated as one of the top restaurants in Mendoza! Consuelo took us on a tour of the old winery at Club Tapiz before our lunch. They have antique oak barrels that were over 100 years old! She was so knowledgeable and articulate about wine, horses, agriculture and even politics! She is a real gem and so passionate about what she does! We highly recommend this tour even if you are novice riders. Caesar has gentle horses and will take great care of you to make sure you have the best experience! Walter was a great driver and the truck was new and air conditioned. It was a first class tour! Don't miss it when in Mendoza! Another plus is that it's only about 45 minutes from Mendoza city center and most horse excursions are 2 hours away which are also worth the drive!

Must-do tour & lunch!

I booked this tour for my girlfriend and I for our one day in Mendoza and it was the best choice we made. We ended up being the only people to book a tour with T&W that day, so it was like a private tour. Our guide, Ricky, was extremely knowledgeable and gracious. The horseback ride was great and offered beautiful views of the countryside. Make sure you stretch your groin before you mount, because I definitely felt it on the dismount lol. The lunch at Club Tapiz was worth the full price of the ticket by itself. 3 course meal with wine pairings for each course. The wines were delicious and the food sublime. A perfect way to finish a long horseride on a very sunny, hot day. Cannot recommend enough!

Horse riding through the vineyards

Fabulous tour with our guide Ivan through the vineyards on horseback followed by a delicious lunch at Club Tapiz. Ivan was very knowledgeable about Mendoza and as an experienced sommelier was also very passionate about the wine pairings we had for lunch. Normally on previous tours with other companies my expectations of lunch have been very basic but I would have to say the lunch was the best lunch I have had on any tour. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Loved our Horseback Ride & lunch!

Samuel & Manuel picked us up and we’re immediately welcoming, warm and so friendly. The ride to the horseback riding stable was quite pleasant and Manuel gave us an amazing array of historical facts about Mendoza region and Argentina in general on the ride. The actual ride was through gorgeous vineyards with a beautiful backdrop. Manuel came on the ride and was accompanied by a very nice and friendly young man, Javier. They were great with helping us with the horses and after we returned, offered us water as we were parched. We had a lovely lunch at Tapiz a former vineyard and hotel. The food was excellent to say the least. Manuel gave us a small tour of the wine production area after lunch and then we were escorted home. Loved the tour!

Great tour with great team

Consuelo was an amazing tour guide, she was very attentive and provided a lot of great information about her region. The horseback riding is beautiful, but be prepared to be in the sun for 1.5hr (so bring plenty of sunblock). The horses were friendly and easy to ride. The lunch wasat a beautiful resort style venue which was absolutely gorgeous. The food matched the atmosphere, it was a coursed lunch with paired wines all the way down to dessert. Such a wonderful experience, I highly recommend this tour and any tours from Trout and Wine company. Their staff is lovely.

Amazing and Beautiful! Must Go! Worth every penny

The horseback ride through the vineyards was incredible. Even more incredible than I could have imagined. We were picked up directly from our hotel and had a comfortable journey to the vineyards. Our tour guide Ricardo was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. You could tell he was very passionate about his city, which made for such an enjoyable experience. The owner of the ranch on the vineyard rode with us. The horses were sweet and gentle, which was great because it was my first time riding a horse. I felt very comfortable on the horse. The views were so stunning and it was very relaxing. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I really cannot describe it. After, we went to an amazing place to eat. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating to my gluten-sensitivity. It was one of the fanciest meals I have ever had. Each of the three courses were prepared with such care, and the ambiance of the small and cozy restaurant was unforgettable. Overall, I had a great experience. Not just on the tour, but with Trout and Wine. They were so kind and accommodating. They replied quickly to all of my questions and went above and beyond to give me the best experience possible. I would use their services again in a heartbeat.

The perfect day in Mendoza!

This was a fantastic package.... our tour guide from Trout & Wine was awesome. At the ranch, the staff was A+ and the meal afterward also A+. It was worth every penny...and then some.

Perfect day!

Our tour guide Charlie picked us up at our hotel and told us lots of information about the area on the way to the horses. We had a perfect day of riding through the vineyards and olive trees with the mountains in the background. The guides tailored our experience to our skill level and the group size: it wasn’t just nose-to-tail trail rides the whole time, which was great. Then the lunch! We were in Napa in December and let me tell you, it rivaled anything we had there. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Best Trip in Mendoza

The best day trip I’ve ever taken. The tour guide and driver were phenomenal! They were very kind, helpful, and great conversationalists that knew a lot about what they were doing! The horse trail is gorgeous and easy for beginner riders and no mountains for those afraid of heights. The vineyard was stunning with the most amazing food I’ve had in Argentina yet, paired with incredible wines! All around very well put together trip with amazing workers. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous horses, great food and wine

Absolutely loved this experience! Trout and wine really went above and beyond to make sure I had a good time. I’m a solo traveller and they made sure to get me from place to place safely and add me to a group so that I wasn’t alone (I ended up being the only person booked in on my tour so it could have been a lonely experience but due to them getting creative I got to meet a lot of really nice people!)

HORSES and WINE

This was our 2nd adventure with Trout and Wine and both were amazing. Charlie was knowledgeable and the experience of riding through the beautiful vineyards on horseback and ending with an amazing lunch with wine pairing was one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina.

Fabulous!

This was a great way to tour Mendoza. Our guide Leandro was very knowledgeable and engaging. The horseback riding was really fun and felt very safe. My group was a mix of varying levels of horseback riding experience, and we all had a great time. The lunch was beyond fantastic and accompanied by lots of delicious wine! If I ever make it back to Mendoza, I’ll definitely do another tour with Trout and Wine.

Simply the Best MENDOZA experience!

From the moment Charlie picked us up I knew it was going to be a great experience! We arrived at the stables and met Cesar who helped us onto the horses. With very little experience on a horse I was a bit nervous but with a few instructions and with such a calm horse I felt comfortable in no time. It was a dream come true riding through the vineyards and down onto a riverbank and across a few creeks I could hardly contain the enjoyment. If all we did was ride the horses and back to the stables that would have been totally worth it right there but that was NOT all! We rode the horses out to a beautiful winery and had a 5 course meal in it's Divina Marga Restaurant..It was not rushed at all and we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and was able to go into the wine cellar and choose a nice late harvest wine to take back to Washington State USA! The food was delicious along with pairing each course with some great Mendoza Malbec and various wines! We will NEVER forget this authentic Argentine experience! THANK YOU Charlie for making the end of the tour soooooo extra special for us!!!! Bee's... honey and a really cool wine cellar!!! What a GREAT tour your company has provided! We can't wait to visit the area again and will take advantage of more of your tours and wished we had found you sooner!! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE!

Horsies!!!

Leandro was very knowledgeable and would be a great ambassador for Argentina. Charlie was a great driver and the tour was very fun! We ate lots! (Too much), drank plenty😜and the horsies were very well behaved even for rookies.

Exquisite!

What a perfect way to spend a day in Mendoza. After an efficient and helpful booking process from Paula we were conveniently picked up outside our hotel by our very own personal driver who was extremely friendly and helpful. He had even stored small bottles of water in the back doors in case we were thirsty! ...Soon we found ourselves ensconced in a super comfy sheepskin on the back of well behaved and steady, responsive horses for a gentle ride through the vineyards before arriving for lunch. ... And what a lunch it was - exquisite food from presentation to it's mouth-watering taste. I was fit to burst but it was worth it... not to mention a little wobbly from the local wines which are to die for. ... Good job we had our very own personal taxi back again to our hotel as part of the whole experience. What excellent organisation. Trout and Wine, the riding stables at Racho Viejo and Divina Marga Restaurant were superb from start to finish -they provided comfort, luxury, expertise and they all spoke English, which was a relief! I highly recommend this trip out : )

Horseback tour in Mendoza, Argentina

My family thoroughly enjoyed our Horseback ride through a vineyard with Trout & Wine Tours in Mendoza. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable, with the horses easy to manage also for the young children. The route was very scenic with a fabulous lunch to finish off with in a beautiful winery. It was an added highlight to visiting a winery. I would recommend a trip like this with this company.

Great tour, but our money was stolen!

Our family had a great vineyard horse-riding tour, including lunch at Divina Marga. The ride was very simple, but enough for our 8 & 9-year-old daughters and my limited horse-riding experience. This was followed by a delicious lunch at Divina Marga where we tasted freshly prepared empanadas straight from the firewood oven. The only problem came when it was time to settle the balance of the tour payment at the end of the day, this is when I realised that $300USD was stolen from my wallet! Before commencing the horse ride, our tour guide kindly suggested that it would be more comfortable to leave our bags on the tour bus. As we were the only ones on the tour (except the driver and tour guide), we felt comfortable leaving it there (this was the only time my wallet left my side). I informed tour guide and tour owner of the theft, they seemed genuinely surprised and reiterated that they had only one such issue in 15 years of operating. I was disappointed there was no offer of a partial refund to help compensate for our losses! As we still had a great time, I would recommend Trout & Wine Tours (in fact we followed up the next day with an excellent winery tour), however, take extra care of your possessions, regardless of any reassurances that are made. Sorry, without the theft it would have been 5 stars.

C'est un peu idyllique cette journée. Accueil très chaleureux dès notre arrivée à l'agence. Échanges très vivants et riches avec notre guide. Belle balade à cheval, toujours avec un guide formidable. Très bel établissement club Tapiz et un déjeuner gastronomique qui peut parfaitement rivaliser avec notre gastronomie française. Bref une journée parfaite.

Una semana en Mendoza 🍷🍇

Hicimos un viaje en pareja de 6 noches. Si nunca fuiste a Mendoza te recomendamos: 1) llegada a ciudad de Mendoza . Si vas en avión alquilar auto. 2) dia 1 a la mañana hicimos Desayuno en confitería tradicional del centro. Recorrido por el parque San Martín y subida al cerro de la gloria. Antes del mediodía partimos camino a potrerrillospara alojarnos en medió naturaleza. Día 2: parque Aconcagua. Puente del inca. Penitentes y cristo redentor. Cena asado a la Cruz y vino Día 3 y 4 nos alojamos en valle de uco y empezamos días de bodegas. Almuerzo en 7 fuegos, lindisimo lugar, demasiado caro y no es para tanto. Si van, tomen un café o una copa de vino paga concoer. No vale la pena gastar para almorzar. Día 4 hicimos clos de los 7 y recorrimos Monteviejo y almuerzo ahí . Tb fuimos a salentain. Si pueden tb vayan a súper uco que es diferente. Día 5 nos fuimos a Lujan de cuyo donde recomendamos bodegas Martino, excelente cocina y varietales diferentes. Hicimos tb bodega Balbo y a la tarde Pulenta, mi bodega favorita fue pulenta. Día 6 almuerzo en casa Vigil. Muy buena experiencia, Día 6 cena de despedida en calle aristides y regreso a casa. Espero q les sirva !

Cesar y nahuel unos excelentes anfitriones! Nos acompañaron y explicaron todo y en todo momento. Y los caballos OLIVA FORTUNATA CHISPAS ROSENDO MACETA hermosos!!!

Excelente experiencia, muy puntual , viaje relajado y con explicaciones acordes, paseo a caballo muy cuidado y agradable. Almuerzo que superó mis expectativas, gran atención, muy recomendable
