Everything we hoped for and more!

Our guide Nico has a great love and knowledge of Melbourne. In addition to the sites we expected to visit, he also recommended great restaurants, showed us wonderful street art and was generally very friendly and accommodating. If you are lucky enough to have him as your tour guide, you will have a great experience.

Excellent, highly recommend

Highly recommend! We did two day tours: one for a wildlife park and then penguin parade, another for Yarra valley wine tasting. They were both with Thomas, and they were amazing!! Thomas was accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, and punctual for all our tours. He had great recommendations for food, things to see/do in downtime, etc. He communicated well about what we should bring, like he was able to add a beach stop so he told us to bring bathing suits but also told us to bring clothes for colder weather during the penguin parade. I'm glad he did because the day went for so hot to chilly. He had brought us wine for a beautiful beach sunset drink that day as well, snacks, plenty of cold water, a blanket for the chilly penguin parade, etc. He catered our experiences around what we said we liked. Like I wanted to know about some Australian singers, and he made a Playlist of them for us to listen to! I also wanted to see animals outside the wildlife park so he made an effort to help me find animals in the wild (wallabies, kangaroos, birds, and even added a stop to see megabats)! It was a great tour that was flexible to what you wanted.

2 days with Thomas

Thomas spent 2 days with me and my two friends, he was wonderful and patient and humored us and all of our questions and wants to see wild animals. He helped us pick cool wine spots and we found a wild kangaroo! Before each day he reached out via whatsapp with weather updates and outfit reccomendations. He brought plenty of snacks and water and picked pit great food stops. We would have been so underprepared without his messages. He allowed us to tweak our stops to make the days feel totally customized and special.

Great day exploring Yarra Valley!

Joe was such a fun guide and very knowledgeable. We had a great day exploring Yarra Valley and the wildlife sanctuary with him. We even saw wild kangaroos for the first time!

Great day with Marty in the Yarra Valley!

Spent the day traveling to, and learning about Australia and the Yarra Valley with Marty. After spending several days in the city it was a pleasure to sit back and relax and enjoy the trip. He was engaging, has a great personality and extremely knowledgeable about everything and anything. We had a blast enjoying the scenery, food, drinks and the company!

Amazing!

Such a great trip! Our guide Marlene was informative and made terrific recommendations for our group. Lunch was first rate and a trip to the chocolate factory was spectacular!

Best way to see Melbourne

We had an amazing time with our guide, Cate! She planned the day around what we wanted to do/see and we had the best experience. She also provided great recommendations for places to go for dinner/drinks for our last night in Melbourne. It’s 100% worth it to spend the extra and do a private tour with a customized experience vs. a larger tour.

Wonderful Tours of Phillip Island and Yarra Valley

We spent two days with Marlene, first going to Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade and then touring Yarra Valley. Marlene is an excellent and extremely knowledgeable guide with a fantastic personality. Our Yarra Valley tour was fun and we were given options as to what we wanted to do. We opted for wine, wine, wine. We were taken to four different wineries, offering a range of wine “personalities” and had wonderful lunch at one of them. Our Phillip Island tour was probably the most fun we’ve had on any tour. Marlene is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and also she is just very funny… we laughed all day. We fed kangaroos at a wildlife park, watched too many penguins to count coming in from the ocean, and enjoyed a great dinner on the island before heading back to Melbourne. We would highly recommend these tours as well as Marlene as a guide.

Relaxed Leisurely Exclusive

What we loved was the exclusivity and pace. Our guide from Localing was Josh. The vehicle was immaculate white Audi Quattro Q series and Josh was in a sports blazer. Branded non plastic bottled waters on hand and ready. Available Options discussed immediately at the go. For us, the small things do matter at this price point. We didn't want to chase down the most number of wineries. So we chose what we wanted. We bought the reserves that interested us. Visited a hydroponics farm. Joined an ice cream festival. Josh then brought us on a scenic tour through the dandenongs where we wanted to see the local Rosellas. Thank you Josh and Localing.

A “Must Book” Experience!

If you visit Melbourne, you MUST book an outing with Localing. We had an amazing time - beginning to end - touring the Yarra Valley with our guide Daniel. What a great guy; pleasant, engaging, super knowledgeable about…everything! He took time to get to know us and understand what we hoped to get out of the day, and delivered beyond our expectations. We felt as if we’d spent the day exploring a new country with an old friend who knew it inside and out. He plotted out the perfect day, and after dropping us off back at our hotel sent an email with tons of ideas for our remaining time in Melbourne. This team is simply the best!

Two Day Trip In Australia!!!

I recently visited Melbourne, Australia earlier this month for holiday from the US. I was there two days when the coronavirus pandemic escalated and borders were closing and needed to return home. My husband and I spent out last day there with Bianca. She was an amazing host as to make the day an amazing experience!! I would totally recommend Bianca and her company!!

Wildlife, Wine and Gin - perfect tour!

This is our first trip to Australia and you know it’s a good one when you leave wanting more! Hats off to Localing, aka Patrick, who curated not just one, but two days that were perfectly tailored for us and exceeded all our expectations! From Moonlit Sanctuary in Mornington, to Main Ridge estate, Camp Schanck and Then Yarra Valley for more breath taking views, delicious wine tasting, gin tasting and a quick side stop to see the bats! We are definitely not touring people but this experience with Localing gave us much more of Melbourne than we would have discovered on our own, including a lesson in Aussie speak. Many, many thanks!

Touring with Martin

Martin was our guide for the day and we couldn't have asked for anyone better!!! He was so knowledgeable and entertaining and provided us with a wonderful day of wine tasting and site seeing. If you're booking with this company - Absolutely request MARTIN!!!!!

City to Country experience

We started in Melbourne at our hotel, the Langham. Our guide took us through excellent shopping laneways and street, in places we would never have seen otherwise. Graffiti wall art, croissants and historical information was all just terrific. Bianca was outstanding and fun. We went to a park with a viewpoint across the harbour where Perth shone. We toured a chocolate maker, a wine tasting and lunch at Medhurst wines, a delicious midday experience. On the second day, Bianca took us to the Melbourne museum where we spent an hour or so immersed in this outstanding attraction. We went to the Cape Schanck lookout and boardwalk valley with many other interesting stops tailored to our interests. It would have taken us a week to see so much without the tours.

Yarra Valley

Billed as the tour company for people who don’t like tours. We had the most amazing day with Eliot who was hands down the best tour guide we have ever spent time with anywhere in the world. What a joy to spend a day with a young man who can talk about art, literature,films, politics, world events, environmental issues to mention a few. Within a few minutes of meeting he had correctly judged what we might find interesting and tailored the trip accordingly. I have no idea if all this companies guides are as enigmatic but if Eliot is anything to go by you should book with them as soon as you hot Melbourne.

Terrific

Lucky enough to have Patrick as our guide - - he made the day!! Visited animal preserve, did wine tasting, lunch at Merrick Wine Store and amazing hike in Mornington Peninsula.He was a blast and everything we did was great!!

Patrick the Entertainer

Day 1 we were fortunate to have Patrick as our navigator, guide, and entertainer from Melbourne out into wine country with a stop at Cape Schanck. In addition to being knowledgeable about the area (we literally ask him everything) he is just a great guy to being hand out with here in Aussie land. We look forward to seeing the Burroughs with him today, likely to be plenty to see, learn, and laugh about with him leading the way. Would recommend highly to anyone.

Patrick Duffy was the perfect companion.

This was our first trip to the area and we had a perfect day with Patrick. He tailored our day according to our interests - providing great information about wildlife, the countryside and the wine country. The added benefit was his great sense of humor. We enjoyed the company as much as the tastings - which speaks volumes, since we found the wines and the wildlife to be superb. We hope to return someday.

Really really nice experience

We had a great day at Healesville Sanctuary and at a winery and a gin distillery. Patrick, the guide, was amazing. If you want your day to be perfect, he will definitely try to make it better than that. I totally recommend!

Had the privilege of having host Martin in the Yarra Valley, and Patrick in Mornington Peninsula. Absolute perfection to experience these amazing regions within Victoria with two of the best hosts we could ask for - and both areas such a short distance from Melbourne. Luxury vehicles, everything five star from greeting to farewell, local knowledge with extra special service at all places visited. The absolute perfect tailored experience made especially unique by Martin and Patrick.

Y’all, I am not usually the reviews type of gal, but this one truely deserved an exception ! This was my first time going to Yarra Valley with a couple of friends. The area is majestic and absolutely beautiful to drive through. I thoroughly enjoyed all the wineries where we stoped for tastings and we had the most delicious lunch while over there. Patrick started the day as our guide but I can genuinely say he ended it as a friend. He was absolutely outstanding both in his knowledge of the area and wines but mainly as a wonderful human who was easy going, professional, funny and patient. He really truely made this tour unforgettable. Bummed that I did it at the end of my melbourne trip otherwise I would have done it twice !!
