First time wine tourists

Everything was great! The wineries/places visited were all so welcoming and friendly. Given that my partner and I didn’t know much about wine culture our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole day. Everything was planned out really well also. Can’t wait to show off our wine knowledge at our next dinner gathering. Would 100% recommend

Superb outing

Fabulous day out. Our host Rob was chatty and fun. Communication before the trip and throughout the day was very good. We did 5 wineries/wine tastings and they were all of a very high quality, and all different which made it fun. Lunch at Yering was superb!

Perfect day out!

We had an excellent time on this full-day wine tour. Shane was an incredible guide! Communication from Vinetrekker in preparation for the trip was also great. Each stop on the tour had unique aspects and made it worth the visit. Highly recommend!!

Great Day in the Yarra Valley

We had a great day in the Yarra Valley with Paul. Booking was quite quick and easy. Email communications prior to the tour were appropriate in number and helpful. He arrived on time and the van was clean and appeared well maintained. Paul is very gregarious (seems many Aussies are...) giving us commentary and answering questions on everything from wine to politics to day-to-day life in and around Melbourne. He also offered really helpful recommendations for things to do during the remainder of our trip to Australia which we used and thoroughly enjoyed. The wineries we toured were well chosen, varied, and offered very tasty wines. Paul is obviously well known and respected at these wineries which made our small group sort of "VIP's". Lunch at Yering Station was also very good with an excellent view. Overall, we have travelled extensively and I suppose we've had more enjoyable days on vacation but it's hard to remember any right now. We can recommend the Vinetrekker's tour without reservation. If you drink wine or if you're just interested in wine, do it!

Great Day out in the Yarra Valley with Vinetrekker Wine Tours

We had an excellent trip to the Yarra Valley with our knowledgeable guide (and driver) Shane. The trip was well paced, the wineries we visited were excellent, hosts at the wineries were very engaging and lunch at Yering Station was great. All-in-all a great day out and highly recommended.

A highlight of our trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour in the Yarra Valley with Cam, who picked us up from Melbourne city centre exactly on time and drove us safely around the various wineries. The wineries we visited were excellent and a lot of thought has clearly gone into ensuring guests visit a varied selection of them, from the well known, established wineries to the smaller, experiential ones. Our lunch at Yering was very good and the cheese tasting at De Bortoli was excellent. The wine we tasted was of a very good standard. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

Great day in the Yarra Valley sampling wine and lovely lunch

Booked this last minute, to go with a friend from Melbourne to the Yarra Valley for wine tastings and lunch. Our guide Cam picked us up right by our hotel, in a clean minivan, there were 9 people in total on the trip. First winery we went to was lovely, with a cheese pairing, lunch at the second was excellent, although it is only one course. Other three wineries were lovely, with Cam adding useful pieces of information along the way. All in I think we sampled in excess of 35 wines, which makes for a great day out, before Cam dropped us all back off in the city.

We had a brilliant day with a small group tour led by Paul. The range of wineries and the staff were exceptional. The quality of wine and food exceeded our expectations. I recommend this tour.

We can recommend the Vinetrekker’s tour without reservation. If you drink wine or if you’re just interested in wine, do it!!

Not drunk drunk just had a few wines

We had the best time on touring round the yarra valley, Shane was an excellent tour guide with great information on the wines and the area and all the wineries were absolutely stunning we especially enjoyed the payten and jones winery as it was something so different, one of our best days in Australia

Lovely day in Yarra Valley

Top notch tour of the Yarra Valley. Sampled wines from a diverse group of wineries. Included a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting. The tour guide, Garth, was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Highly Recommended

Fantastic tour!! We have already recommended this tour to people. It’s a LOT of wineries and wine tours (30+ wines) so come prepared and pace yourself! The communication leading up to the tour which was also very helpful. Our guide, Cam, was incredible - funny, knowledgeable and stuck to the schedule. If you are vegetarian then I would recommend you bring snacks. Lunch was delicious but there lacked a protein or anything hearty in it especially after tasting wine for a few hours.

What a fantastic tour. From pick up to drop off the service and knowledge of Cam was outstanding! Each stop unique and memorable. The food at lunch was impeccable, and of a high standard. If you are looking for a great high quality tour we would highly recommend this!

Yarra Valley Wine and Food Tour with Vinetrekker Wine Tours - Recommended!

Shane from Vinetrekker Wine Tours made sure everyone had a great day. He was knowledgeable about the unique wines at each winery. He even knew where a participant from overseas was likely to see some kangaroos! The day was well organised and we got to taste a variety of wines. Some wineries combined the tasting experience with cheeses. A participant that was vegan was also catered for. Lunch at Yering Station was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour. A Very Pleasant Day

The vinyards and reception areas were beautiful. Paul is an excellent tour guide. He knows wines and is very considerate.

Excellent wines, lot of fun, outstanding host

To start with: I rarely write reviews. Here: I have to - for a very good reason. The wine tour was great and is highly recommended. Paul is a wonderful host and the wineries he chose for our tour were also excellent. At each tasting we were given interesting facts and background to each one of the superb wines. At some stops we also were served snacks or exquisite cheese specialities. Lunch at one of the wineries was great. We also got to know super nice fellow travellers. The journey through the Yarra Valley was varied and the views were sometimes spectacular. All in all, the trip, which lasted about 10 hours, was entertaining, peppered with excellent wines, impressive wineries and a lot of fun.

Delightful tour to the Yarra Valley

Excellent tour , well organised , driver and guide Paul was professional and very knowledgeable . The 5 vineyards visited were well chosen , well paced , with very generous tastings of 5 wines at each stop , plus delightful and curated cheese plates . The lunch at Yering Station was a delight . Highly recommended . .

Outstanding Yaara Valley Wine Tour

The wine tour exceeded our expectations! We were both very impressed with the Choices of wineries, the sophistication of the wine talks and the overall beauty of Yaara Valley. The pace of the day was perfect and Cam was a great driver as well as being very knowledgeable about the vineyards and the area. We also enjoyed the other couples and had some very interesting conversations!

This was such a great tour, from the food, to the wine, the stunning views and the entertaining, knowledge Cam our tour guide brought, it was a truly memorable day. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting a fun and relaxed day out in Victoria.

A lovely day in the Yarra Valley

Cam was a lovely host, guide and driver, and our companions on the tour were warm and good company on the ride out to the vineyards. We stopped at a variety of places, all with super selections with great descriptions. De Bortoli was a strong start to the day, leading to two more vineyards, a memorable and tasty lunch and then more tastings to bring us to the conclusion of a perfect afternoon.

Highly Rated Wine Tour

This is one of the best wine tours I have been on. The day was well organized from pick up to drop off. Cameron was a gracious guide that is knowledgeable in the wine industry. From the cheese and wine pairing at Di Bortoli in their boardroom, wine tasting and wonderful lunch at Yering Station, unique Payten and Jones Winery that showed incredible enthusiasm, beautiful chards and Pinots of Coldstream Hills to an amazing array of wines from Medhurst, there was no disappointments in the day. I only wish I could bring more wines home from the trip. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting the Yarra Valley. Thanks also goes to Paul for his great follow up to any questions I had before the trip and checking to see that all went well.

Wine and dine. What’s not to like.

Each of the wineries were really good. We had a very nice lunch at Yering Station. Medhurst Winery was fabulous. Every wine we sampled, were outstanding. Paul, our driver, was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable.

A Nice and tasty day full of fun, wine and food!

We had a marvellous time at 5 Wineries with Cam. Hé brought is safe to every new fantastisch complete different place! Very Nice Wineries and wines; also good wine en foodpairing. We had the opportunity to eat Kangaroo! We really Loved it. CAM droppen us close to the stadium so we coulance see a rugbygame of The Melbourne Rebels 🤩

Great wine experience in picturesque Yarra Valley

It was such a nice day with our guide Adrian. He is such a knowledgeable and kind person, and would like to show all the beauty of Yarra Valley. We went to 5 wineries and all of them are just great. I really enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend other friends.

A superb day out in the picturesque Yarra Valley, hosted by Paul from Vinetrekker tours. He proved the most entertaining and knowledgeable host, contributing to an all-round excellent experience. Loved all the wineries, including the funky Peyton & Jones. Included was a great lunch at Yering Station. A huge tick overall from us.

Really great wine tour

Really great wine tour, the wineries were all amazing and a really nice selection, from small boutique to other ones, lunch was really good and nothing felt rushed. Cam was a great guide. I’ve done twenty plus wine tours and def recommend this one.

Great wine and tour.

Paul was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He arrived on time in a new bus which was comfortable. The wineries were great, the staff engaging and the lunch which is provided was excellent. Set in a great location with great lunch, the lunch is very filling and comes with a wine of your choice. Overall, it was a great day and I would recommend this tour.

Paul was an excellent informative guide. All stops were good other than the shed winery which was rushed and too loud. Otherwise very good.

Complete your Melbourne experience

This was a well organized trip. Our guide Cam is really thoughtful and knowledgeable of the area, wineries and wine. The locations were perfect for photos, the wine was excellent. Lunch was awesome! Had kangaroo and it was delicious. Only one of the tours came with cheese pairings, wish there was more pairings! Besides that this was a wonderful trip for me as a solo traveler.

Great trip and highly recommended

Fantastic! I enjoyed this trip so much. We visited 5 wineries and the tasted many varieties of wine. The lunch at Yering station was tasty and the view was amazing. Our driver/guide Shane was so friendly and helpful. Even for someone like me who does not drink much, I enjoyed every second of the trip.

Great way to see Yarra valley

I really enjoyed this tour and it was a very enjoyable day. Each of the five vineyards we visited were very good and all had something different. The first wine tasting was paired with cheese and the pairings were excellent and I did wish I could have bought some cheese. Paul our guide (and owner) was excellent, he was very knowledgeable about the wine industry in general and also the local area, in addition to this he did find spots for us to see some of the kangaroos in the wild, which particularly pleased one of the group who specifically wanted to see them in the wild. The meal at yering station was excellent, I thought they had a good selection for a set menu, and I chose the kangaroo dish which was very good. Overall a great day and will look to go on one of their other tours next time I’m in Melbourne

"Wine" not!

Lovely wine tasting experience. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and very passionate about wine. I really appreciated this was a small group tour. All vinyards and tastings were unique. At times, it felt like this was for serious wine connoisseurs but as the day progressed, the group ended up having fun getting to know eachother. Planning the pick up was a bit confusing but all worked out in the end.

Best Wine Tour in Yarra Valley

We had a great time on our tour yesterday.  Rob was a fantastic tour guide.    The wineries curated were perfect!  The wines were all good and the lunch provided was amazing. We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Yarra Valley wine tour.  It is more than other tours but we feel we got so much value for what we paid. 

Yarra Valley Wine tour

We saw about 30 kangaroos sunning themselves in a front yard driveway on the way to a winery. The driver Paul was very informative and helpful during the tastings and was a great guide.
