Absolutely brilliant experience

We were lucky enough to have the eponymous Rick as our tour guide and he made sure we had a marvelous time. Each stop had something tasty to offer, from the farm with its fantastic spread of local produce to the wineries - all great variety. I also liked that it was a small group tour, it just felt way more intimate and making the friends was all the easier with the wine flowing. Rick himself is really attentive and great to have a chat with. Expect to fall asleep on the trip back into the CBD. Everything about this tour gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Thank you so much!

A definite must-have for your Melbourne itinerary!

We had a splendid tour with Bernie! He made sure we had a great time, and was a really fun guide. The lunch options were splendid and loved the variety of wineries in the itinerary. Would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Melbourne! You get more than you pay for.

Great Day in Yarra Valley

We had an amazing day in Yarra Valley. Rick took us to three great winerys. Lunch was of such a high quality at Rochford. Really loved the chocolate tasting as well as the fruit tasting in the morning. We even had time to do two additional gin tastings: one after lunch at Rochford and one at Four Pillars. Rick also told us so many things about Melbourne and Yarra Valley. Really recommend!

Best wine and chocolate tour

It was a great experience and our guide was wonderful. It was also a lovely small group and it didn’t feel crowded or rushed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic day! Rick was a brilliant tour guide, he was very informative. I felt our tour was personalised to us and felt well looked after, we were very impressed. The wineries he took us too were great, and the lunch spot served 10/10 pizza’s. We also enjoyed the morning stops to try local fresh fruit and chocolates. Definitely great value for money. Would definitely go again and recommend Rick’s wine tours to friends and family!

Awesome day, extreme value for money with a delicious top notch lunch and 2 bottles of wine each! Friendly and welcoming tour guide, very informative and knowledgeable. Extremely generous wine tasting, slept on the way home! Excellent way to end the day with chocolate tasting, highly recommend 👌

Was a fun day! Dirk was an amazing driver and very accomodating. Great drinks and food, came home with two bottles which was great.

Perfect Wine Tour

Rick was a friendly and kind person who had a good knowledge of the history of Melbourne and different types of wine. His car was clean and comfortable, and the places he selected to visit were great.

Fabulous day out

My daughter & myself booked a public wine tour but due to it being Grand Prix weekend and having no other bookings, instead of cancelling our tour Rick himself took us both on a private tour of the Yarra Valley. We both had a fun & fabulous day including visiting 4 wineries, Rick couldn’t have been more accommodating. Definitely would recommend Rick’s Wine Tours. Thanks heaps Rick.

Great day out, From start to finish. Dirk was superb throughout and absolute credit to the company. Would recommend this to anybody. Really fox stops and some lovely unusual wine. Brilliant!

A wonderful tour with everything! You couldn't ask for more!

An absolutely full and varied day in the beautiful Yarra Valley! Rick was great, so friendly and a great guide giving us an little tour and history of some of the older, beautiful buildings of East Melbourne and other points of I terest as we made our way out of the city. Then, as we reached the Yarra Valley, it was time for a taste of delicious fruits and other goodies, such as home made relish, jam and nougat. After that, it was on to wine tastings (and a little gin too) at 3 very nice wineries. Each was great! We also had the most delicious lunch at Rochford Estate and were given a complimentary bottle of wine from 2 of the cellars! Finally, the delights of the chocolaterie and ice creamery! What more could you ask for?

Amazing time, great wine and great tour

We had an amazing experience. Wine tastings were great and varied. Lunch was delicious and ended the day at the chocolate factory which was outstanding. Rick is super friendly. We enjoyed our day. Thank you !

A great way to spend your day

I had a great day! I almost decided not to do a tour, but I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere was wonderful and Bernie was a fantastic guide.

We had a wonderful tour with Rick, it was such a class and full day, with beautiful wineries, incredibly delicious lunch with very generous servings, and would highly recommend this tour! If you were to only do one wine tour in Melbourne, this would be the one to choose, as not only do you have a full day with interesting sights, wineries and fun, you get to take 2 bottles of beautiful wine to take home with you to remember the experience with! Top class all round, and next time we are in Melbourne will choose another of Ricks tours. Thanks for a great day!

10/10 wine tour!

There were 8 of us in our group and we all had a fantastic day on this wine tour. The day went by so fast and we all really enjoyed the different wineries, scenery and delicious lunch. Rick was our tour guide for the day and he was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend booking this tour!

A beautiful day in the Yarra valley

A really enjoyable trip to the beautiful Yarra valley. The fruit farm was a lovely start followed by three different but interesting wineries. A great chance to try a wide range of regional wines. Rick is a great host/driver. Thoroughly recommend.

Cannot recommend enough!

Absolutely amazing!! My partner and I had the most incredible day. The fruit at the start and chocolate at the end just made the day perfect. Wineries were great with an amazing variety of places throughout the day! Everything was well thought out and planned perfectly. Rick was so knowledgeable and provided great information on the drive and about Melbourne. 100% would recommend to anyone wanting a fun day out. We also got some amazing photos and met some incredible people!! Thanks Rick :)

Great wine tour

This is a perfect introduction to the beautiful Yarra Valley wine region. The three wineries picked were all very different in style, history and products. We loved them all. The fruit tasting at the beginning of the tour and the chocolates tasting at the end just finished the day perfectly. Lunch was delicious, Rick was the perfect host with great local knowledge. I can't fault it at all and would highly recommend it. Great value for money with two bottles to take home!

Great Trip

Had Dirk as our driver and we had the absolute best time. Definitely worth the money. The 2 larger wineries were the highlight (out of the wineries) and the additional gin tasting is only really worth it if you really like gin.

The Awesome Excellence of Rick and his Tour

This tour experience was amazing. Could not have spent this money any better. Not only did we get to see 3 lovely wineries and sample (a lot) of great wine and gin, but we also got to make stops to a local farm for some fresh produce and ended the day with delicious chocolate tasting! But, Rick was what really makes this tour what it is. He is delightful to chat with and is a great guide. Rick makes the trip even more fun (hard to believe a wine trip can be even more fun, but that’s just how great Rick is). If you’re wanting to do a Yarra Valley wine tour, book through Rick, you will not regret it!!

This is your choice!

Rick and Bernie were the most knowledgeable and friendly guides we have met. It wasn’t the best of weather and one of the wineries actually got flooded. Thanks to Rick’s swift connection, we were able to visit another reputable winery at a short notice. We really had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in knowing about the Yarra Valley wines and having a delicious lunch. Fresh fruit and produces at the Yarra Fresh Farm and chocolate tasting at the chocolatier were also enjoyable.

Excellent tour with lots of historical information

Excellent tour! We had a terrific day there, and we were fortunate to have Rick as our tour guide. He knows a lot about Melbourne and the Yarra Valley's history. Throughout our journey, we discovered some fascinating historical facts.

Super trip!

The trip was perfect, lots of wine tasting, different takes and perspectives on the history of wine in the region, the option of a gin tasting along with a visit to a local fruit farm and a chocolate factory towards the end of the tour. What made the tour extra special was the tour guide and absolute legend that is Bernie, the man is informative, friendly and above all exceptionally funny and our group of 9 loved him. Any trip with Bernie is a sure fire winner!

Best Wine Tour

We had an awesome day, starting with our Driver Dirk who was wonderful, friendly and a very interesting person to talk to. The stops were all amazing and despite a rainy overcast day, everyone had a blast. I would recommend Rick's tours to anyone 5+ stars.

A really enjoyable trip

The driver/tour guide is really funny, helped our group to get to know each other, and he is super friendly, trying to help us out as much as he can. However, the vineyard that was picked is not really fit our flavour. Out of all three vineyard we visited, only one vineyard got the better wine. But the remains visit, like the farm and the chocolate place is pretty good to visit.

A memorable day of fun!

We enjoyed Bernie’s history knowledge. The wine tasting was great and situated in wonderful venues finishing with a fantastic chocolate and ice cream experience in a chocolate factory! Highly recommend Rick’s tours!

Great day out in the Yarra Valley

Great day trip to the vineyards, nice wine, lovely lunch and bonus freshfruit farm. All hosts were welcoming and informative. Bernie our guide/driver was excellent, knowledgeable and provided a great day out. Wound highly recommend.

Delicious food and wine in a beautiful setting

This is a good mix of food and wine tasting as we visited a lovely fruit farm, chocolaterie and plenty of wineries during the day. All of the food was delicious including our lunch. Our guide for the day Derek was a gentleman and gave us plenty of time at each stop to wander around.

Four good visits, one unpleasant - cramped transport

We stopped at 5 places during our wine tour: - Yarra Farm Fresh, a fruit & vegetable stand where we tasted some of the produce, and could buy a bit of breakfast - the St Hubert winery, where we tasted 5 wines (best: shiraz!) + 3 gins - the Rochford Estate, 4 wines (best: cab. sauv. Isabella!) We had an OK-ish lunch here. - Peyton & Jones winery, 5 wines (best: Mataro!) - the last stop was a crowded tourist trap, the YV Chocolaterie - where we appeared not to be expected! Eventually are guide got us some into a space where we were offered some chocolate samples, but he needn't have bothered, in my opinion! This was not a pleasant visit. So, 4 out of 5 for the visits. The transport left something to be desired: we were in a very cramped minibus. The guide realized this wasn't very comfortable for all of us, and let one of the party ride up front (though this didn't help particularly those at the rear of the bus). (He also seemed to take an indirect route in and out of Melbourne - perhaps to avoid tolls on the freeway!?) I must add that the other members of the tour were extremely nice to my wife & me - as visitors from France. They gave us plenty of good advice for the rest of our Aussie trip! I hesitated between 4 and 3 stars, but couldn't really give the tour the 'Very Good' rating associated with 4 stars. Count it as a 3 1/2 !

Amazing Winery and Foods here, impressive way of experiencing melbourne's wine. Fantastic lunch. The tour guy is nice and helpful, well explanation throughout the trip. Will come back again soon. Amazing day out!

Highly recommend Ricks tours. It was a great day out, we had a blast from start to finish with the best group. George our guide made sure everyone was super happy and all of the venues picked were an excellent way to see the Yarra Valley. As a solo traveller I felt included all day. Definitely will book again when in Melbourne!

Amazing day out. Well worth the price

Great group of people, atmosphere was amazing as well as the wines. Decided to do the Gin tasting as well which was optional extra but well worth it. Food was included in the price which was also lovely with an amazing backdrop. George was a great tour guide and the Chocolaterie was amazing!!!! Will definately recommend to anyone coming to Melbourne.

The best day with the best group of people

The whole day was amazing, we had a great wee group that just made us have a ball. Definitely pick Rick's for tours if you want to have a blast and the tour guides ( George) was great too. Would definitely go again!

A great day in the Yarra Valley!

If Rick’s wine tour could control the weather the day would have been perfect! But drinking wine in some light rain never hurt anybody; especially if your tour guide was as entertaining and knowledgeable as George the tour guide ‘Clooney’ as my mother nicknamed George. The three wineries were great; all different in their own way but the wine delicious and the those at the cellar doors were friendly and put up with our antics. Lunch was nice at Rochford with a variety of choices. We chose the tour as it had a good mix of wines, chocolate and fruit farm. The farm was a little disappointing but it was not picking season, so that might change things as the weather warms up. Not a big drama as we did get to taste some nice fruit and nougat and to stretch our legs. All in all, a great day and would recommend to friends and family to book with Rick. Nothing was too much for George and my mum and I had a wonderful day!

Great tour for young and old!

Finding a tour that would suit all family members while visiting Melbourne began to feel like an impossible challenge until I stumbled across Rick’s Wine Tours! Being able to accommodate my under age son through to my mother with wonderful scenery, great wine and gin offerings, a fabulous meal followed by extensive chocolate tastings, ticked everyone’s boxes! Thanks again for a fabulous adventure!!!

Best wine tasting

Amazing day had. Rick was a great guide who was able to provide us all with a day of laughs, history lessons and a general ole chat. The places that we were taken too were amazing, along with Maddens Rise… A nice little stop that was close to Ricks heart. It was a last minute stop, but definitely worth it.

A great day out

We had an excellent day in the Yarra Valley. Our driver Bernie was a great host and we enjoyed lots of interesting conversations. The wine tastings were varied and excellent and the staff at the wineries very friendly and informative. The lunch was great and there was a good choice that suited our varied needs. The booking process was simple and with only one pick up point no time was wasted in driving around the CBD before we got out into the beautiful Yarra Valley. We would highly recommend RIck’s Wine Tours.

Fabulous day out with friends and family.

We had a fabulous day on the tour, heaps of fun, heaps of laughs. Victor our tour guide was awesome and put up with our music choices and singing. The wineries we visited were great and catered for everyone's tastes - the chocolate factory and story was very enjoyable as well. We would definitely recommend Rick's tours and ask for Victor - he was the best! The two take home bottles of wine was a bonus.
