Memorable Day !

Lurinda was a great guide and driver, very friendly and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the second hike with the amazing view and the walk on the beautiful beach. Would recommend it to anyone reasonably fit.

Best tour we did in Melbourne!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Everything went perfeclty: the car was comfortable and spacious, the group size was small enough that we got to know the other guests but also allowed us to keep to ourselves if we felt like it. Views were astounding, undoubtedly some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen! Our tour guide Shane was great and knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us. We spotted emus, wombats and kangurus and saw them up close and running free, which was a much better experience than the wildlife sancutaries. We could not recommend Hike and Seek enough!

Absolutely stunning!!!

One of the most memorable days in Melbourne was the hiking tour to Wilson's Promonotory. Shane our guide was knowledgeable, gave us very helpful tips on how to walk on the sand dunes and knew the perfect place to spot the animals in their natural habitat. Our first hike was at The Great Drift. It's absolutely impressive, like being on another planet. At our second hike of the day at Mt. Oberon, Shane suggested that we carry our lunch, and nothing could have been better than sitting way up there on the highest point,on the huge boulders and having a picnic of delicious sandwiches on this beautiful clear day. I must mention that the sandwiches were very tasty. We purchased them on our first stop at Kelly's Bakery at Korumburra. After lunch and lots of photo sessions we were back down at Squeaky beach, which was very squeaky indeed and our tour group had loads of fun trying to make the squeaking sounds on the sand. The beach itself is picturesque and the waters an amazing shades of blue. The tour ended with an extra excitement and enthusiasm of spotting kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus and many birds in their natural habitat. Certainly a funfilled and a fulfilling day.

Oh gosh! We headed out on what I think was one of the windiest days, with some rain thrown in. But you know what? That's what made this trip so memorable for me. Shane, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He took us on a ride with some amazing views and didn't let the weather put a damper on our day. We had a blast up on those sand dunes, even with the wind and rain – it was loads of fun, an experience I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Unfortunately, we couldn't hike up Mount Oberon because of the wind and fog. But Shane quickly came up with an alternative plan, and we ended up strolling through the Wilsons Prom rainforest, which was truly enchanting in that weather. We spotted wild wallabies and kangaroos hopping around in the rain. Although we were a bit disappointed not to see a wombat, out of nowhere, a wombat crossed the road on our way back to Melbourne.

AMAZING tour! Would highly recommend! Shane was a cool guide and the small group (only 6 people) was perfect. The landscape is beautiful, the hikes doable with an average fitness level, and we saw SO MANY cute animals: Wombats, Wallabies and Koalas. I loved it :)

Great day at Wilsons Prom

Definitely recommend this trip if you want to take your time and enjoy aussie nature. There are some amazing views to be experienced. As well as chances for close encounters with kangaroos, and wombats (emus werr probably there as well somewhere) in the wild. And wombats really are something special 😍. Our guide was also great company, and the tour was organized very nicely, nothing felt rushed. I enjoyed this a lot 😊.

Wonderful to see wombats at Wilsons Prom

It was a wonderful trip to Wilsons Prom with Shane. We saw two wombats and lots of wallabies and the hike to the top of Mt Bishop is rewarded with a stunning view. Wilsons Prom must be one of the most beautiful national parks in Australia.

Great tour of a beautiful place

I had a really great time and my group on the tour were lovely. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I wish we got more time at the beach but just means I will have to try and head back there!

Hiking in Melbourne

Our guide Marcus had endless energy! He was so patient his stories were very entertaining. I sat beside him during the trip and we shared travel experiences. I love travel guides who are well travelled as well. Till the next tour!

Fantastic outing!

Amazing day spent with our guide Jamie. His knowledge of local history and nature is really impressive. Hiking was great with incredible views and varieties of landscape.

It's a day trip worth taking

The hiking routes were good. And the scenic view was breathtaking. We walked at a not too fast pace, actually at our own pace Still we were able to finish all the walks on time I was particularly impressed by our guide, Shane. He was very helpful and caring.

A Memorable and Warm Experience at Wilsons Promontory National Park

We had an incredible time with Hide & Seek tour company, and we can't recommend them highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Michael greeted us with a warm welcome, and his cheerful personality and wealth of knowledge added to the already fantastic experience. He provided us with a detailed itinerary for the day and even served us a delicious cup of coffee to start our adventure. The tour commenced with a hike to the Big Drift, followed by a quick stop for a bite to eat, and then a hike to the top of Mt Oberon. The view from the top was breathtaking, and Michael's knowledge of the area made it even more enjoyable. The day ended at Squeaky Beach, where we were delighted with a little safari to see kangaroos, wombats, and emus. Michael, our knowledgeable and friendly guide, was the highlight of the tour. He shared his expertise on the environment and made sure that we had a fantastic time. The small group size, with a maximum of eight people in a spacious van, made the experience intimate and personalized. Although it was Michael's last tour for a while, we are so grateful that we had the opportunity to experience Wilsons Promontory National Park with Hide & Seek tour company. Their exceptional service, knowledgeable guide, and warm hospitality made it a day we will never forget. We give them a 10/10 rating and will definitely be back for more adventures with Hide & Seek!

This tour is amazing, with totally unexpected views. Our guide Jeremy is very knowledgeable and fun. He knows lots of birds, animals, and trees. It is highly recommended. The beach walk is phenomenal. The 10k walk in the trees is fun and comfortable. We also saw some exciting emus and kangaroos way back to Melbourne!

Wilson’s prom small group hike

Amazing day trip thanks to Shane! The views were spectacular and we saw loads of Aussie wildlife - emus, kangaroos, blue tongue lizards! The sand dune walk was gorgeous and the hike up mt Oberon was a little tough but massively worth the views from the top. Squeaky beach was a lovely way to finish off the hiking, having a dip in the water! 10/10 would recommend hike and seek, nice group size and it was obvious that Shane genuinely loves doing the tour, giving us info about Australian wildlife and his favourite hikes around the area. The small group setting is the perfect amount of people so that everyone gets to know each other and solo travelers will be included

Outstanding, well organized trip!

We had a wonderful time on our trip. The guide was extremely personable. You could sense she had a genuine passion for guiding us through the beautiful area and for getting to know the people in the group. The van we drove to the hikes was clean and well kept with treats of coffee, tea, and small homemade energy ball snacks, bananas and fresh water in the back. The timing of the itinerary made for a perfect full day of hiking to majestic views, dipping into the water at an epically stunning beach, as well as taking an end of the day nature walk where we encountered a wombat, several large kangaroos, and even a snake (at a safe distance).

Love the tour. Comfortable pace with a small group. Talaska is a great guide. She's friendly and very helpful. The drive can be a tad long but the group made it less dull.

Enjoyable and worth the cost. Was a little cloudy which obscured the view from the summit. Would check the weather next time.

Fuss-free, and a great way to see Wilson's Prom in one day

Fuss-free, and a great way to see Wilson's Prom if you don't have much time. Went with a friend, after not having the chance to stay overnight at Wilson's Prom - I was really glad to have the chance to see some really gorgeous parts in one day. Talaska our guide was friendly, easygoing, thoughtful and had great energy. Also appreciate her list of food / art / recreational recommendations at the end of the trip! Group size was good, not too big and not too small. Minibus was comfortable, appreciated the coffee / tea and stops for pies or other food for a mountaintop picnic. We visited the Big Drift which is pretty unique and gorgeous - definitely require a certain level of fitness to climb the sand, but worth it at the top. Mt Oberon was also stunning, and again may not be an easy hike if you're not fit. Loved Squeaky Beach - sand was gorgeous, water was a great temperature and we were lucky to have sun. It's a lot to squeeze into one day, and ideally a 2night stay would be perfect, but if you can't make it like me, this is a great way to make sure you don't miss Wilson's Prom before leaving Melbourne.

Easy hikes, great views

The hikes were pretty easy and we were able to finish them without problems, even though one of us had a pre-existing ankle injury. The guide, Markus, was very friendly, helpful and shared lots of stories.

Wilsons Prom Adventures

Our tour guide Talaska was superb from start of the trip until the end. Professional, courteous and very knowledgeable on local information. The walk to the Big Drift was gorgeous, the hike up to the summit of Mt Oberon was absolutely stunning & a good physical challenge. The views from the top of the summit were so breathtaking and of course a clear sunny warm day made for endless views down the coastline. Our final stop at Squeaky Beach was the icing on the cake, such beautiful sunshine, the feel of Squeaky sand between the toes and crisp clear water made for great photographs too. Awesome day ... worth every cent. Thanks Hike & Seek !

Great trip!

Fun hiking tour! The hikes weren’t too bad. The weather was cloudy, but the trip was still very enjoyable. Marcus is a great tour guide and I liked that the tour had only 8 people instead of a giant tour bus. It makes talking to everyone a lot easier

Birthday Blues

After having spent the last 2 birthdays in lockdown, l decided to spend this one enjoying the great outdoors. The Wilsons prom hiking trip was a 7 hour both ways driving ordeal with no music, chatter or WiFi onboard, making the journey dull and lifeless. The driver and tour operator Michael was rude and unprofessional and not a great lover of free speech. He felt it was part of his job description to intervene and contradict my views throughout the trip. Having gone on many road trips around Victoria with other tour operators, this was by far, the worst experience l have ever had. I soon discovered that the owner, James, has no complaint process in his business model. In fact, he declined to take any complaints from paying customers in order to improve service. It was quite extraordinary to witness. It's a birthday l will never forget for all the wrong reasons. Whether a local, domestic or international traveller, l couldn't recommend this business any less.

It was a fun solo experience. The group was small with a very fun guide. The hike wasn’t too difficult and the views at all 3 spots were amazing

Great for solo travelers

Shane was our tour guide and he was very friendly and informative. We got super lucky with the weather and went to three amazing spots. I would consider the hikes to be moderate, which I enjoyed. The views at Mt. Oberon were amazing and the whole park is really awesome. As a solo traveler, its great to leave the logistics with someone else and not have to worry about driving or getting lost. I would highly recommend this day trip if you want to see more sites outside of Melbourne!

Superb. The smaller tour group size worked perfectly as we covered so many locations in a single day. The views were all fantastic and memorable with perfect weather, and wilsons promontory is not too crowded. Our tour guide Shane was super nice and gracious too. Lots and lots of walking and hiking so bring some sturdy boots!

Great trip!

This was a great introduction to Wilsons Prom, and a really enjoyable afternoon. The guide, Shane, was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We got to see some amazing scenery and the hikes and walks were both achievable and challenging enough to feel very satisfied at the end of the day. As a Victorian, it was like having a holiday for a day without having to go interstate. Highly recommended!

A perfect way to explore a sample of Wilson's Prom because you hand over the driving and logistics to a great tour company. It is a full day - 12 hours return, making this a good value for money trip. Small group with maximum 9 guests (we were of group of 5). Very clean vehicle and personable guide - Mike! Thank you Hike and Seek, I will be a return guest.

Day trip from Melbourne with a difference

It's one thing to go to an amazing place of natural beauty and Wilson's Prom NP certainly packs a punch and ticks that box with great hiking trails, beautiful vistas, green valleys, sandy and secluded beaches, and lots of wildlife. But to go there with a tour that manages to squeeze all that in one day without making you feel exhausted so you can truly appreciate your visit takes a real expert 9adn that's where Hike and Seek tick all the boxes!). Special thanks to the tour guide Michael, who could answer any queries and engaged with all participants to make us feel part of the team. It is a long day (and more so for the tour guides) as the drive to Wilson's Prom is almost 3 hours each way from Melbourne so make sure you have a book with you (you will have your own light and air condition vent in the minibus!) or download earlier some good podcasts to watch (you will travel through places with no or poor internet access so be prepared).
