Fun Trip

We had a great time in the tour. The bus was comfortable enough. Our guide Mike was very friendly and helpful. The day was well organized. All of the explanation and history of areas was interesting. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would suggest to friends.

Amazing

Israel was amazing, he kept a good spirit throughout the trip, he's very informative and knows what he's talking about. We had a great little road trip through the bushes towards the end of our adventure; definitely recommend the tour! Minus point was phillip island in itself, while it was great to see the penguins come out of the ocean, photographing them is strictly prohibited.

Rhys was helpful & his driving is good. The Penguins were sooooo cute and we had a chance to feed lots of animals at Moonlit sanctuary. Overall a nice experience. Would recommend if you want a kinda flexible day tour. A bit drawback for me: 1. The bus that picked us up arrived about 15 minutes late. 2. The 'Small-Group' is not small. It's a full bus 24 person tour we have to switch seats & cram ourselves in. I expected less people 3. Our first stop was Brighton Beach Bathing Box -- which is NOT in the itinerary -- not that it was a bad thing, pretty nice actually, but I went there a day before because I didn't know we'd be going there with the tour. Would be nice to know so I could arrange my other day schedule.

Fantastic tour for animal fans

Amazing tour! Highly recommended for everyone who wants to see not only Penguins but other australian animals as well. Laney was an enthusiastic and fantastic tour guide with great knowledge about animals!

Jaimes was an excellent driver/tour guide who was easy to understand and gave valuable information throughout the tour mixed with a great sense of humor. So far the best tour guide I had in Australia. I never felt rushed and always had plenty of time to explore whether at Brighton Beach, the Moonlit Sanctuary or the Penguin Parade. A great day! Fantastic Wildlife "Safari" Excursion

Fantastic trip filled with many opportunities to see native Australian wildlife throughout the excursion. Favourite part of the trip was obviously seeing the nightly penguin pilgrimage at Philip Island. Special shoutout to our guide, Bree, who was well rehearsed with her knowledge and fun facts! Would recommend her highly for anyone who is considering this trip!

Great day trip from Melbourne

We had a lovely day out with Sherif and Go West Tours. The sightseeing stops were timed nicely so that we were never in the bus for too long, and food stops were also well planned out along with the sightseeing. This makes it a good option for families with kids. Special thanks to Sherif for being a lovely driver cum guide who made us all feel comfortable and entertained. Would definitely recommend as an add-on to your Melbourne visit.

Lovely penguins

It was a great tour. Israel the tour guide was very cheerful, energetic and professional. The time was enough on every point of visit. The van was comfortable, unllike another company, I almost throw up. Bunyip was very good, we had a great time 😌

Highlight of the trip

This is the highlight of our trip. We have never seen a wild penguin up close and personal. And it is not just a couple of them it was hundreds of them going around. Definitely will come again when we visit Melbourne.

Amazing experience.

Wow! I had such a wonderful day. The driver Becky was great fun and told us a lot of things along the way. I saw lots of different animals- all so beautiful. And I saw a Koala called Sophie and that was an experience I'd dreamed of. I felt so emotional . And then we saw the penguins and it's the most amazing sight I've ever seen. You aren't allowed photos or video, as it can affect the eyesight of the penguins- yet still people tried to flout the rules - and got told about it. Don't be one of those. They're selfish and not caring about the little penguins. The company give you a QR code to download some photos. Fantastic day out. Wish I could do it all over again .

Scenery and wildlife

We really enjoyed this tour. The stop at the beach was really nice and the beach boxes were so cool to see. The interaction at Moonlit Sanctuary was nice although apparently the animals sleep a lot. I loved the Koala experience. The Koala was awake and munching on some Eucalyptus. Phillips Island was amazing from the spectacular views to the wild animals everywhere. Wallabies were all over the island. Finally we saw the Penguin parade that was so cool. Seeing the little critters cross the beach and then up near the burrows. For us it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Loved the penguins!

The penguins were so worth it! A bit too much time at the sanctuary but all went well. Van was at capacity, so someone was always late. Loved the beach boxes too. I am glad I did it, just a long day.

Had a great time with this tour. Our guide, Cloe, was very helpful and friendly with some great tips on how to best make use of our time. Lots of beautiful scenic stops, and the penguin parade was amazing to see - would recommend!

Great Trip

Jools was an outstanding guide. Beautiful scenery and the penguins are a once in a lifetime event for most of us.

A day trip full of beautiful Australian nature & wildlife.

Absolutely loved this trip as a first time solo traveller. The whole day went by super smoothly and the activities were great as well as the time we got to spend at every location. We did/saw more than I expected too. The highlights were of course the penguins and the amazing animals (and interactions with them) at the sanctuary but what made it even better was that our tour guide knew so much about all the places we went to! Jools really did go above and beyond, making not only the excursions fun but also the bus rides to the destinations. She is an absolute gem of a tour guide. All by all this was one of my favourite trips / sightseeing things I did in and around Melbourne. Definitely would recommend!

Great Tour and great tour guide. Loved the Penguin parade. The willdlife sanctuary was also a treat and was very interesting.

Nice and fun day trip with friend

We enjoyed the tour especially our encounter with Koala name” Gum Nut” at The zoo and when we saw mini penguins came out of the water and did a little Parade into their homes on land. Our Guide Bluey was very funny and helpful through the whole trip.

A great day out, highly recommend

Shane the tour guide was great, good amount of humour as well as being informative. I feel we didn’t have enough time at Nobbies Rock, that part of the day seemed kind of rushed but understand that Shane had a timetable to keep to. You can’t rush nature and so you couldn’t rush the penguins but didn’t see as many of them as I would have liked. Was great to get out of the noisy city for a day and see other sights along the way to Philips Island.

Had an amazing time!

One of the best tours I have been on was led by our tour guide, Red. He ensured that we had a fun and interesting time. The highlights of the trip were seeing animals, especially Koalas, Kangaroos, and Penguins. I definitely recommend this tour.

Great day tour, awesome guide.

The tour was a good way to spend a day visiting various parks and seeing different Australian wildlife. We saw koalas, echidnas, wallabies, and penguins. The long ride to Philip Island and back is broken up in 30-40 minute sections, with stops at different parks to see the animals. The highlight, of course, was seeing the little penguins run up the beach and up the hill. Tip: once you see a few packs run out of the water, walk away from the stands back up the hill, following the penguins. Kids loved it. And Rachael was a great guide! Super friendly, and funny, too. The almost 2-hour ride there and back didn’t feel boring at all, which is a feat in itself. 5-star tour, 10-star guide. My two kids and wife also really enjoyed the experience.

It was an amazing day out and I would recommend it to anyone looking to sightsee Phillip island. We wish all our tour guides could be like Rachel, she put so much love and effort into her tour, even dressed up as a penguin for the penguin parade!

Aaron was a super cool guide! Moonlit sanctuary was an amazing experience I wish we had more time there! The penguin experience was a bit crowded but it was worth to see such cute animals!

Great day on the Philip Island tour

A great day and, when in Melbourne for a few days, Philip Island is always a must. A memorable experience even when there's not a lot of penguins. Guides Cavie and Steph made the day fun and the journey there interesting with beautiful coastline stops.

The Beauty of Nature

I’ll preface this by saying it was organized well, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the bus was comfortable (and wifi equipped which was amazing). We also got to make friends with the others in our group. Definitely was a huge plus to have a small group. The beach houses were cool to see, looks really good for instagram and the story behind them was interesting. But my first favorite part of the day was the wildlife sanctuary, where I got the opportunity to interact with animals like a koala, kangaroos, wallabies, etc. I’ll admit I felt like a Disney princess, and I would do it a million times over if given the chance. Now as amazing as that was, nothing would come close to the spectacle that was the penguin parade. It didn’t look like we had the most penguins show up during our time there, but just to simply see this natural wonder in real life was truly a once in a lifetime experience. It felt out of a movie, to see these little penguins wash ashore and waddle their way back home after weeks at sea. It was an honor to be part of their journey, and next time I’m in Melbourne, I plan on visiting them again.

Absolutely wonderful! The Moonlit Sanctuary was just incredible, loved feeding all the adorable animals. The Penguin parade was so much fun, my only regret is people who didn't listen to the park rangers. Loved the experience!

The whole journey was...

The whole journey was enjoyable and well planned. However will prefer to allow us to upgrade to premium tickets. Besides this is my 4th time visiting Penguin Parade and last few times were wonderful as we saw hundreds penguins coming up from shore. This time only manage to see less than a hundred and no passage way like before for penguins to walk along the boardwalk. A bit disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous . approximately 12 in our group . Gary our ranger was brilliant . knowledgeable, organised and sa many penguins and other wildlife. one of the best nature reserve organised events i have ever done . great job

Cute Penguins

Had a great time on this tour. Graeme is a nice guide, he is knowledgeable about the city and easy to approach with any questions. We saw a lot of animals in the nature reserve and the penguins were incredibly cute!

Fantastic Experience

Bill was our tour guide and I’m pretty sure he knew everything about Australia. I loved his commentary along the ride and especially appreciated the perfectly timed playlist. He was very friendly and accommodating and I know we all appreciated his tips for the different spots. If you want to experience many great things about Australia in one day this is a great tour to take.
