Highlight of our trip

The Melbourne Sightseeing Tour was both informative and enjoyable. As we were the only couple on the tour, Sam invited us to choose the venues that we wanted to see. His commentary throughout helped us to gain our bearings around Melbourne so that we could revisit venues later. At the last stop, Sam suggested that we could do a river cruise before visiting the Skydeck, both experiences giving us the opportunity of recognising areas that we had visited on the tour. We felt that we knew Melbourne so much better after the tour.

Short, but sweet

Fred, our tour driver, was informative and full of local facts and tales. Our small group was cordial and we enjoyed our tour, especially when we could get out and stretch our legs a bit. A half day was really too short to see much, but it was a good start. We would highly recommend Fred for any future tours!

Melbourne in a morning

Victoria Market was fun, the beach boxes were very interesting. Overall the tour was very informative.

Great small group tour of Melbourne

Great tour of many different neighborhoods of Melbourne. It was a great way to get small, interesting bits of info quickly as we went through the neighborhoods and getting an overall sense of the city. My family and I took this tour at the start of our trip to Melbourne and it was great to see where we wanted to visit again on our own time. The bus was also comfortable and we had adequate time to stop and take pictures as much as we liked.

Melbourne local recommendations and exciting facts

Fred G was our tour guide and was a pleasure to listen to his facts and stories about Melbourne. He also gave solid recommendations on where to go after the tour. The night market were a great recommendation for the food and shops. And I’m an F1 fan so it was cool to go around the F1 track. He even stopped to let us get a croissant at Lune, since there was no line. What a great day!

Great trip

We did this tour to visit Melbourne with a fantastic guide in spanish (Eliseo) who showed us the main places of the city, explained the history of the city and made this tour very interesting. He drove us to the Beach boxes as well. We are very thankful to Eliseo for showing us this wonderful city.

if you are in a hurry with not much time - otherwise better take more time and explore on your own

We booked a guided tour with Oceania Tours to get to know the major sights of Melbourne. The first part of our tour (4h) was guided by Sam (we will do an additional review for the second part). Unfortunately he arrived earlier as we were told to pick us up at our hotel and so we missed him (we had breakfast) and 1,5h of our tour without any regrets - but the rest of the tour was an interesting short-trip (you just do a few stops at different sights, to see what‘s worth coming back yourself during your stay). Not a „must have“ for us, if you have the possibility to spend some extra time (because at the tour you do not have time to enter e.g. Sports Stadium, Veterans Memorial, Skydeck at Eureka Tower). At St. Kilda we did not even stop to take a photo… So if you are interested you have to return yourself with more time - what we did.

An excellent tour of Melbourne

We had an absolutely fabulous morning tour with Fred. Could not recommend this highly enough. He was really informative and followed up the morning by sending a summary of where and what we had done with lots of tips and hints on other things to do during our visit. One of the best guided tours we have ever done 👏👏👏

A very memorable tour with the most memorable bit being our amazing tour guide Fred Garcarczyk who kept the tour alive with his humour and stories. The tour itself is a must do, especially if you are in Melbourne on a short visit and want to make the best of it. And if you happen to get Fred as your guide, then that’s just Destiny’s way of icing the cake and making your trip that much more memorable.

Great Melbourne visit with Fred

Our guide Fred was truly outstanding! I am so impressed they continued the tour even though only 2 of us attended. Others would have canceled but Oceania and Fred did not dissapoint and he even added a bonus stop. I will refer others for sure.

A great Melbourne City Sampler with a Company Who Cares - Commendable!

The thing I appreciated the most about this tour was the gracious & kind way both the company “Oceania Tours & Safaris” & “Sam” the tour guide dealt with us during the tour. After discovering that there was a booking error (the fault being mine) they allowed my husband & I to continue the tour & fix the problem at the end. Sam, was very sweet in putting my mind at ease, so I could enjoy the rest of the tour. He is very familiar with the City of Melbourne & humorous. This tour is a good sampler of what Melbourne City has to offer in terms of sights & landmarks. This experience has shown me that this company has virtues which make them a stand out business to engage- with. They care about their customers first. Most commendable in this day & age!

A morning well spent!

A wonderful and informative tour with our guide, Fred, who made the tour really ienjoyable for us. He not only pointed out places of interest but pulled up pictures of the interiors on his phone to give us an idea of what to expect. His narration was peppered with interesting anecdotes that kept us entertained.

A memorable Holiday

Booking our tour with Oceania Small-group Melbourne sightseeing was the best decision we made for our holiday. Sam was an excellent tour guide, taking the whole group through history of the places we visited. Melbourne is a great city to visit especially with a 13 year old, lots to see and do 👍🙂

Great ride through Melbourne.

Fred spent 3 hours with us riding through Melbourne and telling funny stories…we saw historic building as well as gardens and alleys. We really enjoyed our tour.

Amazed at what the city has to offer

We got to see a lot of different things not normal on a city tour, and actually got to stop and get out and explore many things also not normal to city tours, our guide was very knowledgeable.

Fred was magnificent enjoyed the tour and made the whole tour very interesting.. There is a spark that really stands out from him that makes this whole tour different. Today day was great and was spent well.. I'll certainly be considering other tours operating by Fred in Melbourne.. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend going in for it. A good jovial human being and passion to keep the journey joyful.. Also the American folks on this journey was super joyous and interactive made every part of this trip fun. The visit to the Conservatory was the most memorable part. Also the drive along the Grand Prix track was a life time experience.A life . The guide Sebastian was wonderful.

Beautiful Melbourne

I enjoyed this tour. Our Guide Frank was very entertaining and knowledgeable guide and we also had wonderful Driver Kevin. They went above and beyond to make this tour fun and memorable . It’s real nice way to explore beautiful Melbourne in short time in comfortable van.

Amazing experience to see the city of Melbourne.

Our guide Sam was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even went above and beyond by taking us to the Australian F1 Racetrack where the workers are preparing for the Grand Prix Race. The security kicked us out but he took a chance and we were able to take great photos. The vehicle was comfortable and even have an automatic extra step for when boarding. San was also punctual during pick up and also offered to drop us off back to our respective hotels should we decide to instead of being dropped off at the last stop of the tour. Thank you so much Sam for the great experience!

Totally Fit The Bill!

This tour was exactly what we wanted... very few people, knowledgeable guide and driver and a good sampling of Melbourne. Our son lives here but in all the time we've come here, we've never "seen" Melbourne. So this tour was like a 'survey' class in college - it hit all the high points of which there are many and gave us an idea of what we would like to do "in depth" next time we are here. It was really good!! Thanks.

Not as informative as expected

Unfortunately our tour guide kept on banging on about the rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne and how much better Melbourne was than Sydney. This began to wear a bit thin by the end of the tour when he was still going on about it. We never had this problem in Sydney. He also kept on talking about his book he was writing and people who he had met. Not interested in his book and friends. We were there to learn about Melbourne. Not as good as we had hoped with a lot of places just a drive past. Also be aware the tour does not return you to your hotel so you have to find your own way home

Wonderful wildlife, amazing sights, great tour guide!

The is a great way to see the beauty of the seascape, and get to see wildlife up close. Our guide, Sam, did a great job of narrating what we could expect, informed us of sights. etc. Sam also came to the rescue when there was a mix up in tickets, if you ever wonder if you should just do the excursion on your own, having a pro managing the inevitable snags makes you appreciate the tour.

the tour was on 1/2/23 with oceania tours and safaris sam was our lovely kind driver. my husband had a bad fall a few days before and sam looked after him like a baby. the tour was wonderful.

Sightseeing Tour

We enjoyed our sightseeing tour and all of the things we found out about and could go back to explore. Our tour guide Sam was so great! He was knowledgeable and very friendly and helped us book another tour of the Penguin Parade & Moonlit Sanctuary. He waited patiently with us to make sure everything was set up properly for us. So very impressed with Sam and our tour!!

Wonderful half day tour thank you Sam for an entertaining morning .wish I had done this at the beginning of my trip to give me more ideas for the rest of my holiday. But a great way to end my trip. My knees slowed me down but Sam took that into account. Great overview of Melbourne
